I love this bag. I have a Nikon D80 (professional camera) and can carry it with filters, lense, memory cards, etc; without any problem. The bag is great protecting your camera or camcorder. Just great! Worth more than the very unexpensive price!

Beautiful Leather Bag! Looked all over. Other bags not nearly as nice cost much more. Compact, but fits SLR camera, extra lens, plus small items, such as extra battery and card. Unbelievable price!

Best Deals for Samsonite 267 Camera Bag

I purchased this bag for my new Panasonic DMC-FZ28 Digital Camera. The camera is an 18x zoom just to give you an idea of it's size. This bag is the perfect bag for a camera like this. I am able to fit the camera, wall charger, and sdhc cards easily in this bag. There are two zippered pockets on either end and a handy open slot-non zippered pocket on the backside of the bag, this is where I keep my camera's manual, although it sticks out of the sleeve-pocket a little. It also has a couple of velcro dividers inside to keep things in place. The exterior is "leather like" and the interior lining is a soft material. This is the best value of any bag on Amazon, Highly recommended for sure. Cheers!

Honest reviews on Samsonite 267 Camera Bag

Love the bag. Have used it for 5 years, first with Canon Digital Rebel. Could fit camera with 18-55 lens attached and secone 55-200 lens sideways just forward of camera. Pad between keeps them same. Plenty of room for exta batteries, flash cards and whatever.

Even had Samsonite repair the zipper rather then get another. Gave my son the camera, but using case for my Canon 40D now. Will not give it up. He will have to buy his own 267. For the price, you can't go wrong.

This is my 3rd Crumpler bag, I sold my 6 million dollar home because with the addition of the Nikon 14-24, SB 600 and 900 flashes, and a couple other lenses, I had outgrown it. The 8 million dollar home is big enough to grow into, even if I went overboard and added a second camera body.

Great quality, pretty water resistant (even though they dont look it) and classy looking enough that I can wear a suit and have it on my shoulder without it looking out of place.

And the "super stealth" velcro cover is a stroke of genius...

Very stylish, well built, tons of room to move, grow and adapt. This seems to be the perfect size camera bag for an event shooter. Incredibly comfortable after a long hot day of shooting, with a full bag, this met our needs. The silent velcro, made sure folks didn't have an alarm go off every time the camera came out of the bag. Adjustable, soft dividers separated yet supported the gear. Only wanted some shorter pockets to keep certain items closer to the top, so less digging in the bag. otherwise, another solid, cool, Crumpler product.

Best Deals for Crumpler MD-08-11A The 8 Million Dollar Home Bag for Camera

I bought this bag to hold a 15 inch laptop and all the assorted stuff that goes with. It holds my T60 laptop (sideways) in it's rigid sleeve in the center compartment. The configurable interior makes keeping cables, cameras, phones and extra stuff simple and orderly. Very tough, very comfortable and best of all it stands upright when emptied unlike most floppy messenger bags. The velcro interior dividers are highly configurable and the velcro sticks them firmly in place. Setting up the compartment spacing took a few minutes. I dinged the score on this bag one star because it smelled like a petro-chemical plant when it first arrived. That has subsided with a little time. Good bag would buy again.

Honest reviews on Crumpler MD-08-11A The 8 Million Dollar Home Bag for Camera

I wanted a bag that was deep and wide enough to take a Nikon D7000 with grip, plus 18-200 lens, plus lens hood attached and not reversed, plus thick Crumpler neck strap, while still accommodating existing other gear and future equipment purchases within reason. The 8MDH ticks every one of those boxes excellently.

It swallows up the camera, grip, lens and lens hood no problem at all, as well as the SB-400 flash unit and a Sony HD camcorder. There is still a ton of room left for future equipment purchases or just for carrying round other stuff like wallets, cell phones etc without the need to use any of the pockets.

The numerous velcro dividers mean you can configure the interior just about any way you like. Some of the dividers have folding top portions, meaning you can put say the Sony in at the bottom, fold over the top portion so it creates a flat solid surface, and then put the SB-400 on top of that. That still leaves the other half of the bag empty on the other side of the camera body.

The bag fastens using velcro and plastic catches. The velcro sections are huge meaning that you have to give the flap a pretty good tug upwards to dislodge it, but that is a good thing I think from a security viewpoint, and you can always use the velcro silencers if you need to. The plastic catches are a little fiddly, as they partly recede into a recess and you have to reach in and up to be able to squeeze the 2 sides of the catch to release it (see product pic, red flashes on front of bag). From a security perspective that is a good thing, but if you have the 2 catches closed, don't think you are going to have almost instant access to your camera. It is security versus convenience.

If you lift up the flap, there is a large pocket the whole size of the bag on the front secured by a single velcro fastener, and this has a handy little tab on it to help you open it. Inside that pocket there is a further pocket again fastened by velcro (2 strips), but it gives access to one big pocket rather than 2 or more. This means that little items like an infra-red remote shutter release, any spare battery, memory cards etc swim around in there and you have to fish around to find them. I think a couple of small zippered pockets for smaller items like that would improve the bag, as well as maybe a zippered pocket for a cell phone, ipod etc.

There is a single zippered mesh pocket on the underside of the bag flap, and once again anything small in there will just move around, but at least you can see it rather than fishing around blind as is the case of the 2 separate pockets on the front of the bag. At each side of at the top of the bag there is a small pouch area which is the perfect size for a lens cap or filter in its case. I use it for filters currently.

The construction is very high quality, with excellent materials and workmanship, and I get the impression this bag will last a good few years. The nylon is very heavy duty, and the interior padding gives you confidence that the bag will protect your gear well unless you do something really stupid. It is rigid enough to stand up by itself when placed on a flat surface, but I guess that it will possibly topple over if it is really top heavy not tested that. Although it is a decent sized bag, it is still pretty light and easy on the shoulder. I will generally be using it on vacation as a carry everything bag, so as well as my camera gear it can take a small compacted umbrella, a couple of plastic rain smocks, wallet/purse, a small souvenir or 2, that sort of stuff.

One thing it does not have is catches or straps for carrying a tripod, but I have seen someone suggest that this could be laid across the top of the bag and underneath the flap, as long as the camera body is protected adequately. Again, not tested this so I am not sure how well it would work.

It also will function very nicely as my carry on bag when flying, as there is enough room for books, tickets, passports etc as well as your camera gear. I went with the grey/red colour combo, as some of the funkier ones were just way too loud and noticeable snot green (that's the Crumpler name, not mine!), electric blue, bright red....all a bit much for me, and the black was the reverse, pretty boring and anyway, just about all camera bags are black. Even with the grey colour, Crumpler make it a little funky with a lime green interior and red flashes on the front, but apart from that I think the bag is pretty anonymous, which is what I like.

All in all, I am very pleased with the 8MDH as it suits my needs now and in future perfectly, and although it is pretty expensive, it is a high quality well-made product. Recommendation buy with confidence.

I shoot a lot of landscapes in my home area as well as other spots across the US. I usually have worked with large backpacks and smaller sling bags and have dealt with the problems of getting things out quick. I recently purchased the Crumpler 8 Million dollar home and it is a god send. Here is what is in that bag: Main location: 1) in the middle: Canon 5D Mark lll with 24-105 mounted with lens hood on(not reversed) . 2) Left hand side: 100-400L with lens hood 3) Right hand side: 17-40 L , 50 1.4, 85 1.8 all with lens hoods on. I actually can mount either my 7D or 5D mark ll with any of these lenses along with my 5D MArk lll and any lens mounted with hood in here also by just taking out two of the smaller prime lenses.

Upper Mesh pouch: 5 Singh Ray 4 x6 ND Grad filters, all in their leather pouches

Bottom Pouch and mesh pockets:2 spare batteries, extra CF cards, large Ghitto blower, lens brush, lens cloth and cleaning fluid, 3 BW polarizers in pouches, Singh Ray Vari Duo ND filter in pouch. HiTech 4 x 6 ND Grad filter holder.

Side Pocketsfingerless gloves and headlamp

All of the above allows me to shoot and work out of the bag at the same time. With the firmness of the main compartment area, it is a breeze to change lenses or filters protected without taking off the bag. No more dropping the bag in the dirt and fishing around in the dark.

I am 67 years old, 6 ft. and a little over 200lbs and find it easy to carry all of this around in the bag for most all of my shoots. When I have to walk very far I find that just rotating the bag around the bag over your rear balances the load very well. And if you have the camera with a lens already slung over your shoulder with a long strap like the Black Rapid, it is even lighter and better. If I am hiking back longer then a mile or so and want to go lighter, I just take my LowePro Sling Shot 202 Sling bag instead.

This bag changed my mind completely about messenger style bags and I am glad I got it!

After purchasing a Canon 40D, 3 lenses and a 580 speedlight and combining this with my existing two lenses and a Canon 300D camera body and a 420EX speedlight my canvas and back pack bags were a non-starter.

Pelican sells to the US Army among others and we've shipped goods that survived fork lift prong holes in the case with Pelican but not with others. The 1510 can carry all my stuff in waterproof and dust proof protection fit in an overhead airline bin and have wheels and an extended handle that make dragging it around easier than anything I've tried yet.

The model comes without padding with foam padding you can "pluck" to fit or my choice the most costly padded insert. For space management and reasonable internal protection this is the way to go. It allows for change of your equipment by simply adjusting the velcro dividers. No wasted space. Everything safe and secure. Pelican will sell you TSA approved locks as an aftermarket choice. Something to consider if you travel and want to secure your rig from the luggage gorillas and still meet the approval of the TSA.

Lifetime replacement guarantee from Pelican.

Make sure you specify and confirm the EXACT type of insert you desire. The only drawback with this case... it's getting crowded in there and the next larger size goes in with the stored luggage in the airplane hold... no way...

This is a great Pelican case small enough to easily store in the overhead compartment while flying, tuff, organized, and portable in airports as a carry on with its wheels and retractable handle for those of us that do not want to check your $10,000 in camera equipment to be tossed around by the baggage handlers. The construction qulaity is amazing. I can fit my 17-40, 100 mm macro, flash, 70-200, 24-70, body with a vertical grip, and still have room for filters, and lots of extra accessories. If you buy the separate lid organizer listed on amazon you will not be able to use the top foam insert which compromises the protection it offers so I would not buy it again. Recommended for any serious photographer!!

Best Deals for Pelican 1510-004-110 Case with Padded Dividers, Black

I purchased this to hold my photography gear. The case itself is fantastic and I would give it 5 Stars. The issue I have is with the padded dividers. First-of-all the photo of the divider is different from what you get but that is not my main concern: What bothers me is that there is absolutely NO/ZERO padding on the bottom of the dividers. Therefore, if you put your lenses on the dividers your lenses will hit directly against the bottom of the hard case wall. Considering most of my lenses are f/2.8 I was not willing to take this risk so I called Pelican and they had me take photos of the padded dividers and send it to them. The called me back within the same day and told me the padded dividers that I have are a very very old version they used to supply with the 1514 case. Thus, apparently the supply of 1514 cases that Amazon currently has are very old but other than the padded divider rest of the case appears to be identical to the current generation. I was going to return the case to Amazon but Pelican said they would send me a padded insert to place on the bottom of the case for free so I am keeping the case and will see if the insert Pelican sends me resolves the issueif not, I will send this case back to Amazon and will purchase the case directly from Pelican so stay tuned.

Honest reviews on Pelican 1510-004-110 Case with Padded Dividers, Black

The video review goes over many of the case's features and helps give an idea of the size and what you can fit into the case. We mainly shoot video with our DSLR camera, so we carry several video-specific accessories, such as a microphone, matte box, follow focus, monitor, etc.

As mentioned in the video, our case did not come with the Pelican 1519 Lid Organizer for 1510 and 1514 Case, which was stated in the product description. I'm not sure if this was just a mistake or if this model doesn't actually come with it and the product description is just wrong, but we contacted Amazon and they reimbursed us for it, once again proving their great customer service.

I mentioned in the video that Amazon has a lock that they recommend for the case. The lock is the PELICAN 1500-518-000 1506 TSA Lock, which says it's TSA approved. I'm not exactly sure what that means, but the lock doesn't appear to be that secure and some of the reviews state that it could be easily cut with a Leatherman. I would think that TSA would allow you to take a padlock off the case if they needed to look through it, then put it back on once you're through security, but you never know.

All-in-all, great case. Watch the video for more details.

I've now used this case on a couple of photo gigs during the last month, and overall, I love it. It's cheaper than all the camera-specific soft-sided rolling cases and is a lot more durable in a big way. I love that when my camera gear is riding in this case, I have absolutely no worries what so ever.

When I received this case I immediately noticed that it was smaller than I was expecting. It was important for me to get something carry-on compliant though, so that's not Pelican's fault. It doesn't fit every last little thing I had hoped to cram in there, but it did allow me to consolidate a camera backpack and 2 random camera bags into the one case after removing a few insignificant things.

Bottom line for those who don't want to read the details? Yes I would buy this case again if I needed this size. Yes I would recommend it to a friend. Yes I'm thrilled with the purchase and the price! In the future I plan to buy a similarly equipped case that's larger for local gigs, and you can believe it's going to be a Pelican!

The Details:

*Padded divider system is adequate but not so padded that it wastes a lot of space. This is awesome. Some bags and cases on the market waste so much space through unnecessarily over-padded walls and dividers that it's ridiculous how much space is wasted. Also, It's worth mentioning that I have extra dividers left after I configured my case. Always a plus!

*The case itself is waterproof and overall is tough as nails. I can't wait to throw some travel at this case and see what she'll put up with.

*While not the typical inline-skate wheels you see on most luggage and rolling cases, the wheels do appear to be quite solid.

*I'm 6ft tall and sometimes find luggage and rolling cases to be uncomfortable to pull with how low their handles are. Happily, I don't have this issue with this case.

*Organization! With the padded dividers and the optional lid organizer, this case is awesome for organizing my gear. Both my assistants absolutely love this case, and it's also easy for me to describe where stuff is without having to show them. If you buy this case, you need to get the lid organizer. Period. It's cheap and so handy!

*Appearance: Now, a lot of people will tell you this isn't important. What I can say though, is that with weddings especially, but also other assignments, perception on the part of your clients and their guests is everything. This case definitely looks legit, while rolling behind us and when we open it up to reveal the myriad of equipment we use, all organized into compartments.

*The extra handles on the outside of the case (the non-extending ones) are crazy solid and very very handy when you need to move the case without the wheels, or load it into a car or a shelf. SOLID! And rubberized!

Other comments:

*The recesses for the wheels protrude into the inside of the case a bit. There really isn't a way around this if you want to keep the wheels protected, but I still found this to be mildly annoying when trying to make everything fit.

*The main pull handle is weird. It's one solid piece of molded plastic, rather than your typical telescoping luggage handle. It functions fine, and my guess is that it will surpass the typical luggage-style handles in longevity because it's leagues more durable and doesn't have moving parts. Still though, it's just a bit odd and it does flex a little bit in the middle. Overall though, still solid. I love that it locks when it's extended, and it locks when you push it back down into the case as well.

*One thing I didn't realize I'd miss: No pockets on the outside. On all my bags and backpacks and on my personal luggage, I've gotten used to large, flat outer zipper pockets. For photography, they were perfect for flat-folding light modifiers, lighting gels, disc reflectors, etc. Now I keep these items stored under the padded divider tray. Luckily the version I received has a padded bottom, so my assistants and I are able to pull the whole tray out to get to the flat items underneath.

What I fit in this case with a little experimentation and creative packing:

*2 Nikon DSLR's with Power Grips

*1 Nikon SB900 Speedlight (not in it's case)

*1 Nikon SB600 Speedlight (in it's case with it's foot/stand)

*1 Nikon SB24 Speedlight (in it's tie-up case)

*3 Pocket Wizard Plus II Transceivers

*Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 Lens with Hood (mounted to one of the cameras)

*Tokina 12-24mm F4 Lens with Hood

*Nikon 50mm F1.4G Lens

*Nikon DX 35mm F1.8G Lens

*Lensbaby Composer in the Lensbaby Case (tucked inside lightspere mentioned below).

*Old Nikon 70-210mm F4 Lens with Hood (similar in size I believe to the 80 to 200 F2.8 non-VR lens)

*5 Dot-Line AA Battery Cases (each fit 8 AA Batteries)

*Nikon SB-D9 Battery Pack for SB900

*Gary Fong Universal Lightsphere (the non-collapsible kind. Takes up a lot of space but worth it for wedding gigs)

*Joe Demb/Demb Flash Products Flip-It

*Small Dome Diffuser (similar to StoFen) that came with SB900

*Small Gel organizer that came with SB900

*Small Foot/stand that came with SB900

*Tripod & Monopod Plates

*2 Memory Card Wallets

*Sync Cables for flashes

*4 Extra Nikon Batteries (2 extras for each camera body)

*2 Small rolls of Gaffer's Tape (one black, one white)

*Lumiquest Softbox III (Flat under divider tray)

*Honl 8" Snoot (Flat under divider tray)

*Honl Grids 1/4" and 1/8"

*Honl Barn Door/Gobo (Flat under divider tray)

*Home-made velcro Gel Holder (Flat under divider tray)

First the negative things about this bag. The bag is not as pictured. It is not a long slim bag which I thought was to be an innovative design. This is a simple camera bag design you could buy for $30.00 or more.

CAMERA & ONE LENS DESIGN:

The inside of the bag is 8.5 inches wide. A bit shy in width, but doable for my Pentax Kx to rest vertically. and my Tamron 18-200mm lens to fit tightly next to each other. There are two side pockets to hold accessories.

The pocket on the right (as you look at the bag) I use to hold two additional battery sets and is zippered. The "pocket" on the left side is made like a lens pouch, but too small to carry a lens. I use this pouch for the rear cap of the Pentax lens and the empty case for the 4 batteries in the camera. The front pouch is zippered and I use it for the instruction book and some miscellaneous papers I keep with me. The inside front of this pouch has two mesh type compartments which I use; one for for my DigitalGrayKard (used for spot on white balance and also a Gray card) and the other side of this mesh compartment is used for extra memory cards.

Over all I like the bag's compactness, as a retired pro-photographer, small is better for me.

My K-x fits pretty well, and one telephoto lens or two small lenses fits as well. The inserts are adjustable so camera fits tight enough not to move while carrying. Bag is small and light enough to carry out almost everywhere.

Honest reviews on Pentax 85115 Adventure Gadget Bag for DSLR

Regarding that side pocket that doesn't quite hold a lens:

"It also has a zipper pocket on the side and front and a neoprene water bottle-style pocket on the other side."

It's a water bottle holder, not a lens pouch. Just thought you might want to know. :)

Think Tank Photo CityWalker 30 Messenger Bag (Black) Review

Think Tank Photo CityWalker 30 Messenger Bag
Customer Ratings: 5 stars

As a product itself, this gets 5 stars. I really love the new CityWalker series of bags as I currently use the ThinkTank Retrospective 30 for weddings and wanted a day bag with a few more features suited for personal use around town with a camera in tow. The quick access front pocket on the flap and water bottle mesh holders on the side are perfect for running around the city with a camera too inside the padded insert. I also appreciate the locking clasp in addition to the velcro for the main flap for a bit more security of things falling out throughout the day.

The misleading thing is that a Retrospective 30 and a CityWalker 30 are two completely different sized bags, even though they both use the "30" as the model number. A Retrospective 30 will easily fit a 70-200 and other lenes, whereas the CityWalker 30 will fit that plus a 15" laptop making the entire bag more the size of maybe a 40 equivalent? All I knew was that the CityWalker 30 was waaaaay more bag than I wanted to be carrying around for more than a few minutes. I actually returned the CityWalker 30 and got the CityWalker 20 instead as it is more equivalent in size to the Retro30 and still holds my 15.4" MBP (albeit not in a super padded way but it fits with the camera inserts. My wife was going to use the CityWalker 20 but we swapped that and got her the CityWalker 10 which was more her size and easily fits her 11" MBA and other necessities around town.

Excellent storage for 15 in.computer inside and outside of bag (makes going through security much easier).

Very good quality.

I love my X100. Best camera I've ever owned that gives me a desire to take photographs. The look and feel of a rangefinder camera makes the X100 a compelling camera.

The leather case makes it more so!

$139? Compared to the camera price, it's about 13% of the cost of the X100. Perhaps that makes it more palatable. By itself it's a hefty price for a case. However, once you put the case on the camera you forget the cost as emotions take over and you realize the case and camera were made for each other. They are both crafted and designed well, both needing each other to complete the look, feel, and emotion of owning the X100.

The case is made well, and should last for many years if treated right. It works as it should, and will give passerbys more reason to stop and ask how old your classic camera is around your neck. :)

This case is awesome. I got it as a present so not sure which store it came from, but it came in a nice black box and I'm pretty sure that mine is authentic as it's very well designed! I've read some people got a fake one that doesn't fit their camera perfectly... it should, mine does, and that's the whole point of a case like this!

From completely protecting your camera to taking a picture is 1 second. You just lift the magnetic flap on the bottom and lift the front protection over and under. You can even put the lens cap away and use this case instead as you walk around. The front center part is flat and hard so the lens is safe. The case is made of two parts. And you can remove and put back the front part very quickly as it's secured by two snap buttons. I usually take it off and put it in my backpack as it's kind of weird the way it's just hanging down there...

The bottom part is also easy to remove/put back, and you need to do that when you wish to change the battery or the card. Bottom is nice and flat so you can set the camera on the concrete without scratching the fragile aluminum. This camera is so easy to show signs of wear even after a gentle use when not using it with the case. The aluminum (or whatever metal this is) is like a dent magnet. Slightly brushed against it with my keyboard the other day and it got a scratch... but whatever, the camera is a tool even if this one's also a good looking one. Using this case looks like will keep it in one piece for a longer time, which is a good thing because I love this camera and it doesn't have any alternatives on the market at the moment.

I like the case because it's there when you need it and quick to get out of the way when you want to take a picture. Oh and it maintains the same style as the camera.

Best Deals for Fujifilm LC-X100 Leather Case for Finepix X100 Digital Camera

This case appears to be a fake. I had an original case from Fujifilm and bought this to replace the top half, which I had lost. This product is made a very different type of material. It may be leather, but it is definitely a cheaper quality leather or possibly vinyl. The base on this also doesn't have the flap on the real product for accessing the battery and memory card door. The word "Fujifilm" is embossed on the case, but the lettering doesn't look like the original. The case did come in what appeared to be a real Fujifilm box, but the box had clearly been opened and resealed and wasn't in new condition.

This is really appalling, as the knock-off cases on Amazon sell for $25. If you are okay with a knock-off (which are probably about as good for protecting the camera), buy one of those. If you want the real case from Fujifilm, don't buy this one.

Honest reviews on Fujifilm LC-X100 Leather Case for Finepix X100 Digital Camera

I love my Fuji X100 camera and this case is a perfect fit. The X100 is styled like the classic range finder camera, something my parents would have used in the 50s & 60s and this case fits the retro style of the camera.

It fits the camera like a glove and I like how the top protion is removeable at the flick of a snap. Also the way the top portion folds up and over the camera and down when ready to shoot is very handy.

Yeah it pricey but what isn't in photography? I just had to have it.

This is a terrific case just as described; however please remember to keep one thing in mind...

It will only fit the camera as is, in other words even a filter will have an impact on the cases ability to close completely as designed. As such forget a lens hood etc.

Bought this product for my Panasonic G5 but quickly grew out of it when I purchased additional lenses and accessories. The category of a large SLR gadget bag is not accurate. I would categorize this as a small to medium size bag.

It took some shopping to find a bag that would fit my Panasonic Lumix DMC-G5 camera with its lens attached, a spare lens, a flash and other items in a small package. This bag is perfect for my purpose.

This case is not leather. "Leather" is not an ambiguous term; it is a material created by the tanning of animal rawhide and skins. The case I received fits the camera and will protect it, which is what I was looking for, but to call it "leather" is false advertisement.

The case is great. I no longer have to carry a large case around, and it is protected from the rain.

If fits very well on the camera and protects it properly. Even without the lens hood, the camerabody still remains protected.

I have used Tamrac bags for going on 30 years for my extensive collection of Film & Digital cameras and lenses along with a camcorder or two. My most recent addition, the Messenger 1 bag, is a good fit for my new Lumix FZ28 camera. The bag has room for a charger, extra battery, several memory cards, cords, owner's manual, ETC.

The most important thing to remember when looking for a bag that will FIT your camera is to access the Tamrac website. They have a chart listing most all cameras on the market and the recommended bags that will fit. There are usually at least 5 different types, plus several colors, to choose from.

Their bags are well thought out and always of top quality.

This is great for my Canon Rebel xsi with the bundled lens. It easily stores the battery charger, a few memory cards, and a point and shoot camera (canon powershot a510). If you need to carry much more than this or another lens I'd look for another bag, there just isn't room for another lens. However, if you just need a solid bag for a few items this is great.

Perfect size for what we were looking for. Fit out Nikon D40 DSLR and with the 55-200mm lens. Also had room for our wallet and other stuff. Very comfortable to wear.

Honest reviews on Tamrac 5531 Adventure Messenger 1 Camera Bag (Gray/Black)

This bag is good for photography starters with maybe 2 lenses. An XSi with 18-55mm kit lens fits well into the bag with extra rooms below the lens as well as plenty of room on the side, which can be used for another average telephoto lens and an external flash unit.

The front pocket can have a lot of accessories, including the battery charger, filters, wires and cables, compass etc. Two side pockets, and one has zipper, which is good for additional batteries and memory cards. There is also a pocket on the cover, which can be used for things like lens cloth.

There is no zipper on the cover. It simply flips down and is locked in place by a velcro + a plastic bracket, it is fast, but also leaves a lot of space to allow dust, particles, water or even a hand to reach the camera inside. However, it may be difficult for someone to nab the camera through this space, especially if it has a lens mounted.

This bag is probably not going to work for full-frame bodies and/or fast long focal length lenses. But seriously, if you have such equipment, you probably wouldn't trust this bag anyways.

I bought this bag to take my Olympus Evolt E-510 to Disney World. I do not have any additional lenses for it, but I do carry one extra battery. I was able to put my credit cards and money in an inside front pocket and my photopass (a Disney card you hand to all the photographers to link pictures they take to your account) in the front zip pocket for super-fast access. I put my cell phone in the side velcro pocket (under the strap on one side) and maps in the open back slit-style pocket. It was absolutely perfect for my needs. It is good, hardy quality, and the zippers seem pretty sturdy. I highly recommend it!

Purchased this for my Sony RX100. It's been somewhat difficult to find a relatively compact case for this camera as the body of the camera is pretty small, but has more depth than most compacts due to its lens. According to the interior dimensions given on Manfrotto's site, it looked like this case may have been a smidge too small, but I took a chance and it's a perfect fit.

Other than that, there's not much to say. It has a two velcro circles sewn to the flap to close it and it has a small slash pocket in the front. I don't know if I'd personally trust loose SD in there since there's no closure for the pocket. There's really not room to keep much in there except maybe your ID and a couple credit cards. The back has a loop if you want to wear it on the a belt. The padding is on the thin side, but I think it's more than adequate. I basically wanted something I could slip the camera in to keep it from getting scratched up when it's tossed in a bigger bag.

The manufacturer's tag is sewn it at the top of the opening for the bag, and it's big and annoying, so I snipped mine off.

If you are buying this for an RX100, it easily fits inside, without any cajoling. It's pretty much the ideal width and depth. The bag is about a half inch "taller" than the camera height-wise, so there's a bit of room left at the top, but by no means does the camera sink into the pouch and become hard to get out. It's really like this case was made for this camera.

This is my second purchase from the Manfrotto Stile line and I'm really impressed with the quality, value for the price, and the good looks of all these bags. Recommended!

I purchased this product for a Sony RX-100 camera. Upon arrival I found it to be much larger the Lowepro Sorrento Camera Pouch I also purchased. The Manfrotto case is a flexible fabric with a velcro enclosure, where the Lowepro is rigid leather that fits a RX 100 like a glove. Both have belt loops, but the Lowepro uses a magnetic closure. To me this is much more user freindly if you are getting the camera in and out of the pouch alot.

I bought white thinking it would be easier to find laying around the house or in a backpack. In hindsight I should have bought black again. The white is dirty after a month, and just doesn't look that nice.

It protects the camera from scratches, but there isn't much padding, so I don't think it will help in a drop.
