I bought this case (in black) for my Fujifilm X-E1 after a great deal of research and after having read nothing but glowing reviews. One of the biggest reasons I bought it is that Gariz's advertising says you can open the battery door and remove the battery and SD card without removing the case. In reality, however, there is a round, black plastic base where the ring that secures the case to the tripod mount meets the body of the camera. This base protrudes slightly over the edge of the access area Gariz left for the battery door, and it's enough to prevent the battery door from opening all the way. In order to remove the battery and/or the SD card, therefore, one would have to unscrew the silver ring from the tripod mount every single time, then screw it back in when the battery and/or card have been replaced. That's basically the same amount of effort it would take to remove the case, since the ring is the only thing securing the case to the camera.

I purchased this case from an eBay vendor who advised me that s/he is the first North American representative of Gariz. S/he examined several other cases, and they were all built the same way. S/he has removed the eBay listing as a result of my experience, and has contacted Gariz to advise them of this issue. I'm hoping Gariz will redesign the ring. The quality of the case is beautiful, and I really like the fact that the case moves the tripod mount over and away from the battery door; it would therefore be possible to keep a tripod ball on the camera all the time and still be able to access the battery door.... IF, that is, the ring were designed properly. As it is now, however, it's a deal breaker for me.

The leather quality seems to be very nice but time will tell how it holds up. Fit and finish are excellent. Complaints about the case screw I think are overstated. It's not a problem to move it ever so slightly to open the battery door. I was hoping the grip was a little more prominent and/or a little more "grippy". The leather is nice and smooth (good) but a little hard to hang onto (not as good) for the grip. I like the heavy duty, light weight baseplate but the hole in the baseplate for battery access is a bit bothersome to me. I would have preferred a hinged door to help keep dirt and whatever out. Price is what I would consider a little high but it's made nicely. Overall, I'm happy with the case.

Though the construction is sturdy and solid, it doesn't fit the X-E1 very well. I suppose due to the steel bottom, it adds extra space and bulk to the bottom of the camera which seems unnecessary.

This is a great bag if you only need to carry your SLR and some small things like film and whatnot. I don't think it could hold an extra lens, but I guess it depends on how big the lens is. Overall, a great minimalist bag.

I am very pleased with this case! At this stage in my life I like "compactness". I am able to carry the Kodak Z980 camera, Three sets of rechargeable batteries.(count includes set in camera). And a Kodak One Hour charger. The case has two mesh pockets, one on the left side (as your looking at the front of the case), which I use for my two extra memory cards and their plastic cases. And a second mesh pocket on the back of the case, which is the width of the whole case. The only thing I need, at least for my camera is either a small block of wood or a piece of firm foam, with a width of about 1/2 inch. I would place this "spacer" behind the camera to take up the extra space in the case and allow the camera to be placed (stand) vertically in the case. Or maybe a small block of wood wrapped in felt placed under the lens, again, to allow the camera to stand in a vertical position. BUT I am a fussy person and very detail minded. And this spacer is not absolutely needed! Last point: PRICE, It won't brake you. The cases in all the stores that sell digital cameras in my area run about $30 and up! But beside price those cases are too bulky! Normally I would not purchase a case without trying it, but the price was so reasonable, I figured it would either be "OK" or I could use it for something else! I also like the padding/protection of this case.

This camera bag is pretty neat. I mean it has no unnecesary pockets. It isnt very bulky. My Kodak Z718 fits snugly along with the charger, memory card, memory card reader. Its nice and nifty. There were a few loose strings though but i am prepared to overlook.

Whenever I travel, I seem to always end up carrying the OEM Canon camera bag that came in the kit I bought from Costco and my laptop backpack. Since getting a New iPad this year, I no longer carry around a laptop and all the extras that go with those. While I still like using the backpack as my carry-everything-and-the-kitchen-sink bag, I hesitate moving anything into it from my camera bag, as it's just not that convenient to use for camera work other than a carrying case. Thus I decided to use the camera as the primary focus (pun intended) for my next "backpack". I found this little guy and was quite pleased with the convenient flexibility of changing where the camera loads in the bag for ease of access (left, right, center). Plus, it swallowed up all my accessories, cables, and then some, in addition to easily taking my iPad (plus its fat silicone and plastic shell case made by Griffin) into its gaping maw. Maybe that's an over-exaggeration, but in the same physical space as the OEM Canon bag, my iPad, camera, lenses, flash, cables, hoods, etc. all fit nice and neat. Plus, the total weight doesn't feel as drag-me-down-around-the-neck any more, so that's also a bonus.

My only knock on this bag is the price. The Case Logic bag that compares to this one is about $50 cheaper, and looks about as well-made as this one. Only features the Case Logic doesn't have are the camera positions the bag can accommodate, but they make up for that with the one central pocket/camera suspension design. That looks really nice, but I like being able to slide the camera in and out from the sides, for quick access; only have to drop one shoulder strap to grab the camera, as opposed to removing the entire bag for the Case Logic pocket.

I use this to carry my A77 and NEX-5 cameras. I do this so I can have a variety of focal lengths available using high quality glass. I can switch between them quickly once I got the knack of sliding the pack under my arm. It can carry a variety of additional stuff and can strap a small tripod on the bottom. This pack replaces carrying a shoulder bag.

Let's put the "bottom line" right at the top: this is a good product and I have no problem recommending it.

That said, there are things to take into consideration:

1) At this low of a price, don't expect it to feel like an expensive Lowepro bag. It's a great product, just not a premium one.

2) It might be a little smaller than you'd expect. It fits a pretty decent amount of gear though here's what I've carried in it with no problems:

Canon 5D

24-105 f/4L (a fairly big lens) mounted to the body

100-400 L (a HUGE telephoto)

50mm prime

550EX speedlight

Hoods for both of the zoom lenses

10.1" Tablet PC (in the outer pocket, a slightly tight fit)

About half a dozen filters in plastic cases

Powershot G12

Chargers and 3 batteries for each of the 2 cameras

Small accessories like lens cleaning wipes

So the interior space is pretty decent. It's the overall size of the pack when wearing it that feels small to me (I'm used to wearing a hiking daypack, for the sake of comparison). However the straps are long and have enough adjustment to fit a fair range of people and sizes.

3) The straps on the side for holding a tripod aren't exactly heavy-duty, but they're usable.

It's comfortable enough, it fits well for most sizes, it holds a lot of gear. As long as you're not expecting a high-end product with a refined feel, you'll really like this backpack. And if you *are* expecting a high end, refined bag...well, you're looking in the wrong price range! This isn't a luxurious accessory, but it's a very useful tool.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is to avoid giving unrealistic expectations about what you can actually expect in the 30-dollar range.

I like this case. It does have a hard protective shell and it great for traveling and packing away the camera or those times when you have kids with you and all of the stuff that comes along with kids. This case has a sort of soft rubbery feel tha, at first, seemed like it would scratch VERY easy, but it doesn't. The case does fit my camera, Panasonic Lumix ZS3 (which is a great camera by the way) however there is about 2 inches of space in the case (vertically). Not a big deal but the case doesn't fit the camera "perfectly" I didn't expect it to since it is a general case for all the series listed; it will probably fit the largest camera of the list like a glove. Another thing I don't like is that when you take the camera out, the velcroe strap sticks to the bottom of the inside of the actual case and I have to pull the velcroe off to close the straps.

Nice case, I can carry my camera in it in my purse and feel confident my camera will remain safe. Very inexpensive. There is a strap to keep your camera held in the case so when it opens, it doesn't fall out. There is also a small pouch perfect for extra batteries or cards. The case also features a carabiner clip that is very handy.

This is a pretty good case that seems to be strong enough to protect the Lumix ZS3 pretty well. But, there is NOT enough room in the case for an extra battery! The nice little pouch inside the case will stabilize the extra battery right up againt the lens or the view screen depending on which way you orient the camera. This case will, though, protect the camera from damage while inside a rucksack or backpack. And, the hook will keep it where you can find it.

Snugly fits my Sony DSC-RX100, which adds to the overall compact feel. Mostly pros, love the hard shell and material feel and the water protection for the zipper. The adjustable Velcro belt strap is a nice touch. Got a small pocket inside pocket as well for memory cards etc.

Only con is the inside of the zipper has no soft lining, so it might scratch the LCD. That doesn't mean it will. If you have LCD protection on your camera, that shouldn't matter.

Look and feel of the case is slick, compact and high quality.

This is a worthless and potentially damaging case for the Sony Cyber-shot RX100. Sony literature, included with the case, says the case is for use with the DSC-H30V, 30, 20V, 10V, 10, 9V, 9, 7, 90, & 70, BUT NOT RX100.

The case has major design flaws for the RX100. Specifically:

(1) Case has insufficient depth to accommodate the RX100 safely without applying undesirable, overall pressure that can damage either the lens, or the rear LCD screen or both.

(2) The interior of the front portion of the case has a large and rather thick, internal flap with Velcro fastener that closes an internal pocket presumably for storage of SD cards. The flap's location puts undesirable pressure on the iris opening cover of the front lens assembly potentially damaging it, OR pressure on the rear LCD screen potentially scratching/cracking it depending on which direction the camera faces in the case.

(3) The case's front and back covers must be squeezed together to close the zipper because the camera's depth is greater than the inside dimension of the case. This zippering action squeezes the camera in the case and against the rough internal pocket clasp. Two damage scenarios are likely: (1) If the lens' rather delicate, automatic-closing iris comes in contact with the clasp, it may be damaged; (2) If the LCD screen comes in contact with the clasp, it may be scratched or cracked. Under normal use, the camera will shake within the case increasing the damage potential. In addition, camera users have reported that the LCD screen scratches easily.

(4) Literature included with the case does not indicate use with the RX100, although it is advertised as an accessory for the RX100. It may be convenient for Sony to offer this existing case as a RX100 assessory, but, quite simply, the camera does not fit comfortably, without stress, in the case.

(5) Overall, I consider this a useless and potentially damaging case for a camera valued at $650.

So, by now many are saying, "Why all the fuss? This is just simply a case!"

My point exactly! Why can't Sony just simply design a case that fits and provides proper protection for the RX100, instead of using a one-fits-all, universal design more suitable for less demanding applications?

This case would have been perfect if it didnt have a divider in the middle. My camera always gets stuck on it, since it's a snug fit already, and I have to try and stick my fingers in there to move the divider around. If there is a V2.0, I'd suggest not putting the divider.

I find the Caden K1 Shoulder Bag Triangle Carry Case (Khaki) very ideal for my Nikon DSLR 5100. I am able to pack my 2 lens and take pictures effortlessly. The slots for my charger and memory cards are ideal. I think this product is affordable and suits my needs. The transparent net holder in the front is ideal for my camera lens cap and cleaning cloth. There is also holders for tripod. There are compartments inside which are modular so that i can place them the way i want. I received the package right on time, actually 1 day earlier than quoted. The bag is well built in typical Crumpler fashion, the padding and inlay separators are plush and lint free and the Velcro is surprisingly strong. Might be worth mentioning that the way they adhere inside the bag gives them a conical shape rather than an absolute even separator wall, not very evident from the uploaded photos. This might hinder the above 70 Diameter lenses since it might be a little tight to get them to bottom out in the bag (although this is only in the vertical position, lens down)

There is ample space, surprising for a "non pro" category bag. I managed to fit in the following with relative ease and with space to spare:

They all fit in nice and easy and if I insert the camera with the Tokina in vertically, I could easily fit in another zoom lens (same size as the Tamron above) or a pancake lens and a small prime...or even one full size flash (albeit a tight squeeze)

All in all a decent set of kit for carrying around as a beginner/intermediate and you wouldn't be left wanting except in the most demanding of scenarios

You could also wedge in a portable full sized tripod in-between those x shaped straps on the outside, although I wouldn't recommend it for long term, more of a last solution if you definitely needed your hands free for some quick hiking to the top of a hill.

This bag is water resistant, not water proof, so don't expect to make it out OK if it starts raining cats and dogs, however a light drizzle/shower should leave your gear relatively none the wiser.

As mentioned above this is not a "pro-class" bag, meaning this isn't designed to take severe knocks and drops from any height; the padding is plush but not as shock absorbent for that kind of thing, so laying the bag down is your only option. I would not check this in as luggage at the airport for example, but I would easily put it in the over-head storage as a carry on, no problem.

The sling type design allows for quick access to your loaded camera, just twirl the bag around and bring it to your stomach, pop the zip open and your off shooting.

Comfort-wise this is a medium to above average design, the issue being the "unusual strap". This is a sling type bag so I did know what I was ordering at the time, but those of you expecting a tight non jiggle fit should look elsewhere as this is not designed for that.

One minor soar point is the thickness of the shoulder pad. Although it is removable and adjustable it could definitely use about an inch more width to distribute the weight a bit better, don't get me wrong, it does not dig in or feel uncomfortable but you could use a lower pressure point.

Those of you on the more jollier and fluffier side of the weighing scale, like myself, might find it a little tricky to pinpoint your preferred strap length. Also if you do extend the strap to a jollier size, you'll find the buckle might end up near the top of your shoulder and hence the shoulder pad cannot occupy the same space. You'll end up having the pad slightly forward onto the beginning of your chest although still not off your shoulder completely.

All in all I am very happy with this purchase, it is a great step up from carrying around the stock zoom case offered by you camera brand, You can fit quite a bit of gear in there. Things might be tricky if your a jolly plus size person but it should not hinder your experience noticeably.

The 4 of 5 stars I gave are relative to the same category bags out there.

I would have given 5 for a wider shoulder pad and ability to add tote bags or travel size tripod holder

Purchased this bag for a 3 week trip in Asia. I have other sling packs, messenger packs, and backpacks. For me, this works better since it gave me ample room to fit a D600 with 24-70 2.8 attached (no hood), and still fit other items in the same bag, such as light jackets, books, and snacks. The final package is still much smaller than my other bags, including my slings, and is very inconspicuous.

Flipping the bag around provides easy access to the storage compartment as sling packs should. The fit of the camera body in the bag is not as tight as in some other bags, but that works fine for me. Additionally, the bag does not secure to your body as well as other bags; however, that also hasn't bugged me, I've even done a light hike with this bag.

The exterior zipper pulls are nice to grab, the different style for the interior zipper helps to differentiate. The red color of the lining helps to indicate when your bag is open versus closed.

The pockets in the back of the interior of the bag are a bit inconvenient to reach and the pocket in the front liner could use smaller compartments for better organization.

The iPad sleeve works fine and can accommodate my iPad 3 with a smart cover. If the bag is very full, you do have some issues getting it in there.

The biggest complaint is that the new style of Crumpler shoulder pads has rather large seams that dig into my shoulder after an extended use. I removed it and it functions much better for me.

Great quality bag, very nicely made, great heavy duty material, excellent padding, and, my favorite partit looks great. It's a nice change of pace from the standard nylon camera bag.

Perfect little bag for my camera. I managed on one trip to Austria to fit my sony Nex 5n, a voigtlander 35mm lens, a Leica summicron 50mm lens, the 16mm pancake lens with fisheye attachment, and a whopper Canon 24 70mm with adapter ring all in the bag (albeit bulging). The materials are top notch, it feel as good as it looks. Perfect for street photography. It's a shame you can't get them in the UK as i had to ship mine all the way from New York to London!!

Just got the ONA Bowery bag the other day, and I am more than quite impressed. I was skeptical about it's size and what would fit because the video's out there mostly use mirror less camera, not full size DSLR. The quality of the product definitely jumps out at you the moment you take it from the plastic bag. The model I got was black. The material is soft to the touch, I would describe it as similar to a brushed cotton. The leather accents and functional parts are made of a soft supple genuine leather. As you have heard the strap is made of seat belt like material. This bag is just beyond any of the other's I've used, its compact and light weight with lots of durable protection for the contents, it wears well on your body not a big bulky bag with 25 lbs in it to ruin your posture! Seriously, coming from some of the larger shoulder bags, this is perfect.

So what can go inside: I have a 5D Mark II with any combination of a 50mm, 16-35mm or 100mm L lens attached with one extra lens in the bag. So I can have the 16-35mm mounted and the divider then the 50mm, or 100mm mounted and 50mm, and of course the 50mm mounted and either 100mm or 16-35mm in the bag. The I still have a large amount of space to either add a full feature flash unit or my sun sniper strap which has a rather bulky shoulder pad. So with any of the above configurations you can also have inside a lens cleaning pen. Then in the front slip pockets an iPhone and the other with keys and a iPad cleaning cloth. On one side pocket a 5D spare battery and two USB sticks, in the opposite side pouch my iPhone ear buds. In the slip pocket along the back side one of the 10 Compact Flash card holders from CPS. All of that in one very small compact package. BTW with the top of the bag fastened, you can lift either flap to access either of the front slip pockets without have to release the latch. Just lift the flap and remove your iPhone device.

I also tested a configuration where I can remove the divider, lay in my 70-200mm, put the divider in as a pad and put in my 100mm macro plus a 50mm along with all the other accessories in the side pockets listed above. I can then have my camera on the sunsniper strap with the 16-35mm mounted and basically carry all that with me, which is unbelievable.

If you are looking for a small compact high quality versatile camera bag that isn't bulky and wears well on your body, you cannot go wrong with this ONA Bowery bag. And yes your full sized DSLR and an extra lens will fit with lots of room.

I purchased a green Sony point and shoot digital camera and it fits perfectly in this case. The colors of green between my camera and this case are nearly identical. I like the long strap because I can wear it around my neck if needed. The strap clips on so it can be changed for a smaller strap.

this is a great little camera case. I love the color. It matches the camera perfectly. The strap is awesome because it can be adjusted. I put it around my neck & wore it like a necklace for hands free while at my family Christmas....this way my camera was right with me all the time & I could easily get lots of pictures.

I bought this case for my green Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W530 (the color was a perfect match) and I was surprised to find a few little extra perks to this case once opening the package. First, it comes with an adjustable lanyard that attaches to the back of the case so you can wear it around your neck or across your chest/over shoulder. The interior of the case is a soft velour type material and it also includes a little inside pocket that is the perfect size to store an extra battery and an extra SD card (I was able to put both into mine and still zip it closed). My Sony Cyber-Shot fit perfectly inside without being too snug or too loose inside the case. The case is also constructed quite well and is slightly hard to protect the camera from bumps. All in all, I highly recommend this case or the brand for that matter as all their cases are priced at a great value considering all the little extras tucked inside!
