bought this product regardless of what the previous reviews are. I got this item today and i have put it on my helmet. Works pretty well and stable, and i like it!, i don't know why people are saying that this is not working, so i decided to post a video on how to install it. The reason why i gave it a 4 star is because my top helmet was pointed not curved, but what i did was i just tighten it up a lil' more so that it would hold the camera better.

this is a great item for curved vented bike helmet and also good for pointed helmet like mine.

The GoPro Vented Helmet Strap is lightweight, tight, and does exactly what it's supposed to do. You thread the straps through the loops of your helmet, tighten the straps and clamp, and then attach the camera. I mountain bike over rough terrain and I've never had a problem with the straps getting loose at all. I don't even take off the straps when I'm not using the camera as it doesn't even feel like it's there.

Where on your helmet that you can put the straps through depends on where your vents are. I recommend that you tilt your camera down just a tad because otherwise you'll be looking at mostly sky. It helps to have someone else check the angling of your camera while you ride, or to check with the LCD bacopac. I've also done videos with the camera facing backwards for some cool backwards shots.

This strap is just as advertised, a mounting strap for a the Gopro HD camera. Its a mounting plate with thick foam backing and two straps that secure with some cam release buckles. It mounts securely to my Fox Flux helmet and you can use it to secure camera to a small tree for doing trail shots.

I bike daily to work. I have gopro 3 black. Some days are so beautiful that you have to record your ride. This one is the best, you can strap it really tight to helmet. the camera stays steady. just dont forget to put the straps inside the helmet before your ride. else it will keep on flapping and the sound is annoying when recorded..lol

I purchased this to use with my Pentax K100D. I found that it is too small to use if the kit lens is on the camera. It just about accommodates a camera with a smaller 50mm prime lens.

The velcro is strong enough to hold when new. Not very sure how long it will last.

This neoprene cover adapts to your camera shape and size to a point. It is not able to "swallow" a big camera like some old SLR. My Canon EOS Rebel film camera from 1990 doesn't fit without effort and a lot of accomodating shifts which take some valuable time. In the other hand, my old and small Pentax ME with a 50mm lens is kind of small for this sleeve. In other words, medium sized cameras with regular lenses fit OK, like my Pentax K-x with any of the kit lenses. Reversible black/grey combination is nice and it looks very well made.

I loved the color of this case, as well as the fact that it had a caribiner hook & a hand strap on the case. I purchased it at the same time I got a panasonic lumix. It was a tight fitting case, almost like a "wetsuit for a camera" but it generally worked out okay. I put the camera in upside down so that closing the zippper would not activate the power button and turn the camera back on. My real problem was that after only 5 months the zipper stopped working, and when I finally could not unzip the case to get the camera out one day (after much struggle it unzipped), I tossed it out.

I think this is a really good durable case. However, I think that it would be a plus if they put the rollers a little farther to provide a little bit more stabitlity when pulling the case. I am very pleased with the case. It takes a good amout of planning to figure out what squares to pull out for your items, however once you get the idea of what you want it goes by quickly. I make many of my purchases based on product reviews from others like me on Amazon. This is why I take great care in writing my reviews by providing some perspective on how I use the product. For any review under 4 stars, I want to make sure I resonate with those who have the same usage as I do.

Purchased in February for March vacation to carry my Canon EOS XSI, extra batter and charger. Only a few other accessories were taken such as additional memory card and lens wipe. I am by no means a professional photographer and do not have an additional lens but was looking for something larger than my current case (old EOS film camera case) but not too large that it required gate check at the many airports I would take it through.

With limited use, only carrying it through the airport and down to beach multiple times, one of the primary inside pockets (on flap) ripped on the side. With such limited use I am disappointed by the product as it seemed to be higher in quality.

What I liked:

--Good value based on original purchase price provided it didn't rip.

--Kept sand out at beach (I was careful to keep it away from the sand but it kept out also)

--Looks nice and is the right size for a camera with additional lens and some accessories.

--The camera protection was good as the result of the holster system. It suspends the camera (my Canon EOS) nicely so it isn't hitting the bottom, sides or top.

--Received promptly from shipper.

What I disliked:

--The rip on the inside pocket after very little use. I have no idea how it happened other than poor quality. it was not stressed in any way.

--Without significant weight on the bottom (i.e. additional lens, more accessories) the bag is top heavy and always tips over. You need counter weight on bottom or it will fall over.

--Because of tipping issue, it is awkward to carry with shoulder strap.

I could probably live with the rip but fear that other pockets will rip rendering it useless. The tipping issue makes me want to try something else.

Bottom Line: Decent bag if it doesn't rip and if you have enough weight on bottom to keep the bag standing upright. There are so many options for camera bags, why settle for quality and design failure? Get what is right for you -which I will be doing.

I bought if for my Nikon D5000 with kit lens. The camera fits perfectly.

The build quality is quite good, I love the hard (rubberized plastic) bottom which can protect the case in extreme weather conditions or even on beach on some wet sand.

The top zipper seems a bit flimsy and I am afraid to pull it harder. It is quite hard to open the zipper with one hand.

Shoulder strap is adjustable and case can be positioned quite comfortable, and it is very lightweight.

I would definitely recommend this one to someone seeking a non-expensive holster case.

I purchased this bag for my new Nikon D5100. The sling concept was a great idea and my camera with the standard lens fits nicely and seems protected. I even think there would be room for a larger lens :) However I was/am unhappy with the product for these reasons.

First and foremost, the bag i received was not the same as the bag pictured. i bought this bag bc the picture showed that there were TWO small pockets on the inside of the lid flap (the description even boasted having more pockets than other bags). I thought these would be great for storing my individual filters. well the bag i got only had one larger pocket (ie not a good idea to have filters stacked on top of eachother) The tag ATTACHED to my bag even showed a picture of the bag with TWO pockets.

Secondly, the zipper is super cheap and sticks. it hasn't broken yet, but i'm not sure it will last.

Lastly, it's pretty top heavy. my bag has fallen over and even off of things several times (however, I guess that stands to show that the camera is still ok :)

I like that the bag is compact so i don't have to lug a huge bag around when i don't need a bunch of gear, and i love the sling. i'm keeping the bag bc i haven't found anything i like better yet AND bc the time to return it ran out while i was debating on whether or not to just live with it.

From the exterior, the bag appears to be a small dry bag commonly used in kayaking. Further inspection reveals the bag contains a softer nylon inner bag lining that protects the camera from the tougher pvc material from which the bag is made. The bag is large enough to store one SLR camera with one small to mid sized lens attached. It also has a pocket on the interior for a few smaller items. The pocket does not seal and could possibly allow objects to escape into the interior of the bag. This bag would protect your camera from water but offers no protection from other damage since it lacks any padding. My only complaint is the bag could be a little bit longer to allow for a larger lens and the interior pocket does not seal.

I had high hopes for this roll top bag for protecting a D-SLR with zoom with a Class 3 waterproof rating (brief submersion). The Overboard bag size would work fine for my use but the roll down top does not seal correctly. Almost all roll down dry bags are Class 3 rated and I've used roll down dry bags for over 30 years of sea kayaking and canoeing. I know how to seal these bags properly and even 4 rolls did not seal the Overboard SLR bag. Test it yourself, open up the bag fully to fill with air, roll it 3 or 4 times and clip the buckle, and then gently squeeze the bag. That sound you hear is air leaking out, which means water can get in. Normal class 3 drybags will hold air if you squeeze them, the Overboard SLR case will not.

I bought this case for a 7 day rafting trip on the Green River in Utah. During the trip we never turned over or dunked the camera bag, but it got splashed in white water rapids numerous times. The material is not only water proof, but is thick enough that I felt comfortable carrying it with my SLR on rough hikes up rocky cliff faces in search of petroglyphs.

The winds were sometimes ferocious, actually blowing sand thru the mesh in my tent. Again the case provided great protection.

The case is light and sturdy, easy to seal to protect SLRs from water and blowing sand, plus when hanging open from my shoulder the camera is protected from getting banged on rock faces but is very easy to pull out for quick shots. There is also a mesh pocket inside the case for extra batteries,SD cards, or even a backup pocket camera, tho I would pad these so they don't rub against the camera. The case will hold my Nikon D90 with 70-300 lens along with my G-9 Canon.

Although I have a couple of other cases for my SLR including expensive heavily padded ones, this will be the bag I will use for future trips of any type. Also it will fit in my day pack which I use as a carry on for air travel, which is not possible with my other cases.

I recommend this case and would buy it again.

Works great took it jet skiing and it kept everything bone dry. If you are using a telephoto you will probably need the larger size. I used with an E-5 and 50-200 lens and it just fit with the ability to roll the top twice (not 4 times as recommended).

Only a 3 hour hike in the middle of a HUGE rain system over the Hawaiian islands has phased it so far. Even then it was just humidity from the shear amount of moisture in the air that crept through. Funny thing is when the sun finally came out, to dry off my camera I ended up putting it back in the bag on the beach with the case open, and due to the rubbery material it gets kind of warm, I used the bag itself to warm up the camera and heat any residual moisture out of my camera. So basically, it dried my camera too.

The case is an open top but you roll it down and then fold it over.

After a week of use I did find the stitching kind of annoying as it sort of frays and I ended up trimming the wisps off with a small pair of scissors. Didn't seem like it was coming apart necessarily, just that it was manufactured that way.

I am a road warrior underwater photographer , many tough miles with bag rolling not always on smooth airport floors but on rough concrete and dirt or stone. so far it is holding up well. the bag has good structure so that if a gate check does hit I am not as worried. it has a padded inner liner to augment the outer shell which is tough. the size is carry on legal so its easy to get in overhead compartments and is narrow enough to wheel easily through airplane aisles. this bag is tough , but heavy for its size and I own 3 other bags in this niche so I know from personal experience. my bag packed is 35 to 37 lbs so if you are not fairly strong it will be difficult to get it up in the overhead... and down safely. the handle when extended is perfect ergonomically for me to walk comfortably, too short handles are a deal killer for me. for me the weight is worth it for the security and well thought out design. also has nice zippered pouches for accessories. if you travel a lot and have expensive photo gear , the choice of bag in this niche is your most important one. consider it carefully since you and the bag will spend many hours together. and relax , admit early on that you will end up with multiple bags most of which will end up with dividers removed and used by family as luggage bags. one packing tip remove the dividers and use tshirts and other articles of clothing you will use anyway on your trip to pad your gear, greatly increases the amount of gear you can pack in a bag.

Lowepro Pro Roller 1 Rolling Camera Bag Basically, I love it...it's very sturdy (I've had others that I didn't trust), very rugged & well built. The system for holding the tripod seems a bit flimsy & I don't use all the time...it can also get in the way with a tripod on it. The lid could be just a little roomier...sometimes its a very tight fit & I never put anything in the lid. It seems they could have put quite a few more pockets on the top outside with more room for things like chargers, batteries, cables etc. But overall, the padding inside is great..very sturdy holds up under rugged treatment. Love it.

I found this jewel when searching for a nondescript roller bag for my lighting kit. It came with all the inserts that can be configured for multiple camera bodies, lenses and accessories which I mostly removed so that I had space for the monolights, speedrings and cords. The external tripod straps and bungee cords are perfect for strapping lightstands, reflectors and softboxes. The Pro Roller 1 may be a little small since there is not much room for other knick knacks, but these I toss into a small duffel along with extension cords which I can slide over the extended handle. The bag is very well constructed and sturdy as it should be for protecting expensive camera equipment. Something that a normal clothing roller bag could not do without some alteration (ie, padding and puncture-resistant paneling).
