I have only had this product for a short time but really like this hard shell carrying case moreso than the nylon-type cases. The interior isn't as soft as you might expect, and it isn't overpadded either. The foam interior is quite firm, in fact. There's also a fair amount of empty space inside, so if your item is a bit smaller than the interior it will actually "rattle around" a bit. I decided not to use it with my new camera. Unzipping it isn't totally smooth and there's a reasonable chance of fumbling the camera while opening the "clam-shell" case. This has more to do with the design concept than the construction. Better to have a case where you reach in and actually grab the camera or strap before it's out of the case. This one is an accident waiting to happen.Cost most of the purchase price to send it back, so I kept it to organize other small items.
