I bought this case not having great expectations. But, when I flew to New Zealand back in June this case was perfect. It protected my camera great. Even though it is not a hard cover plastic the soft membrane took several impacts from many drops on the rocks. Not a single scratch or anything on my digital camera... very happy with it :)
