When I was looking for a camera bag I simply wanted something that I could hike around with and take on a plane. Not only does it work well in both of these situations I am also confident in traveling in crowded places with it since it is only accessible from the side facing your back. Its all weather cover has proven to come in handy while living in the rainy northwest as well. Something else that's really neat about this backpack is that it can be converted into a normal spacious backpack by removing all the partitions inside. As a side note the partitions feel really strong with a plastic backing inside. Another plus is the easy side access so you can grab your camera quickly.

Things that may bother some people is that it does have a lot of adjustable straps meaning there are a lot (15 or so) of loose straps everywhere. On the plus side to that it is the most comfortable backpack I have owned, but the straps are everywhere. Also the all weather cover is a tight fit and sort of hard to stuff back in its pouch. Lastly the adjustable tripod holder takes some muscle to move since it's a matter of pushing a Velcro system up and down, but you shouldn't have to move it more than once unless you have more than 1 tripod...or fishing pole like me :).

In conclusion if you are looking for a backpack that you can hike with, carry some extra gear, that's comfortable and secure, and of course able to pack a camera body and a couple of lenses this is the bag for you. Also, if your looking for more room they come in different sizes I think.

The bag fit all my needs and provided more than I was expecting so I gave it 5/5 stars.

I was looking for a backpack that would be comfortable for day hikes, carry my d90 with 2-3 lenses and accessories, and with a tripod holder. I also wanted room to carry a light jacket and other non-camera things in the top compartment. Finally, I wanted quick access to my camera without taking the bag off, a pocket for a water bottle and a netbook compartment. This backpack does all of this perfectly! I was initially concerned about the side access pocket and the outer compartment that I use to hold my netbook but they both work great. The quick access door takes a little practice if you want to remove your camera without slinging the bag around but once you get used to it it's easy to do. The outer compartment is perfect if you have a netbook in a protective sleeve that you want to carry through the airport, etc.

Have had a bigger, stiff camera bag for years. Saw this and took a chance that it might hold our cannon and lenses. Love the versatility of the bag and it is not stiff and cumbersome. Can leave the telephoto lens on the camera and zip up the case. Has lots of pickets for extras and can find things easily. Hope the "handles" hold up--that is my only concern

I've had this pouch for awhile now and this product is great. I have a Sony DSC-P1 camera, which fits perfectly. The best part about the Z10 is the protection. It's thick inline supports your device so you feel a sense of comfort when heading out to the real world. I recommend the Z10 for small camera's and small cell phones. A few of my comments with be in comparison with the Sony LCS-HE which housed my Sony HX1 and prompted my continuing with the Sony hard case for my Sony HX100v. Overall this is a great case. The most notable changes from its predecessor are the following: The extra battery is now held inside the case and not separate, there is also room for a spare memory card inside the case, rather than opening from the front of the case and lifted up toward the back of the case it now opens from the back toward the front of the case, and now rather than t magnet Velcro is used to keep the case closed. Overall I feel the changes are good. The change in opening direction allows the case to be left open easier is you are carying it over your shoulder or attached to your belt. One dislike is the Velcro. The magnet seemed to work just fin, and on occasion the Velcro doesn't "grab" enough and opens, this won't be a problem if it is attached to a belt, but over my neck results in the camera coming out of the case, and if the case isn't snapped on to the camera strap the camera case just falls.

The "Sony LCS-HG Soft Carrying Case" is just half the product I was looking for.

It surely keeps your camera protected. It adds the possibility of carrying an extra battery and a second memory card. And that's it.

It's not soft, it's not confortable to use it, it makes difficult to take the camera out, it makes unconfortable to keep the camera up and focusing, and once again, it makes putting the camera inside difficult. In conclusion: you end up unsure if it's better to use it or throw it away .

Why?? Remember the old days when taking the camera out and ready to use was just a matter of releasing some kind of lock, the front of the case just dropped and you were ready?? Half the shell was securely attached to your camera, you just had half the weight of the bag/pouch/case hanging right below the camera?? Well, not in this case!! You'll have to take the camera completely out. You don't have anywhere to leave the case: you'll have it all hanging from the strap, thanks (¿?) to a velcro attached lace. Oh, that will be after you manage to slide the strap trough that lace. And then you'll end up with the heavy case, plus the memory and the battery hanging as a death weight from your camera. Want to put the camera out?? Put it inside the case... wait, first slide the shoulder strap through the lace.. not an easy task, as it gets messy...

You want something strong to keep the camera protected until you arrive to your photographic destination, you can get one of these. You want something practical, fast to take off, easy to put the camera away??? Get something else!!

Case was tight and velcro often did not catch completely. Was surprised that it only would fit on a belt and did not have provision for shoulder straps. It is awkward to wear on a belt because of it's size. Because there was no provision for a neck strap or handle for carrying, I returned it and got a slightly larger case that held more, had a neck strap and handle, and costs less to boot.

Just like it looks. Nothing special. Its kind of awkward to have attached to a separate hand strap. The strap that comes with the camera can be threaded through this case in a way that allows you to just let the case hang from the camera when taking a picture. I haven't tried putting it on my belt, mainly because I'm not a 65 year old woman.

Very nice solid case, but when it's time to use the camera, have to lay this down somewhere since it's detached from the camera, or leave it flopping around on your neck strap. My wife got a Case Logic DCB-304 High Zoom Camera Case for her Nikon P520. Very nice and light and has two zipped compartments on the sides...wish I would have purchased that one.

I was looking for a shoulder bag I could work out of comfortably when shooting events. I wanted something that could distribute its weight around the waist if needed, but didn't look like a huge fanny pack. I needed it to fit a gripped DSLR, flash and 4-6 prime lenses. Over the years, I've collected a closet full of bags from Crumpler, LowePro and Tamrac. The Think Tank Speed Racer V2.0 seems to have bested them all and exceeded my needs and wants. Thanks for taking the time to read this review. Hopefully, you find it helpful.

PROS:

* Shoulder Strap WOW! The shoulder strap is the best I've seen. It is well padded and super comfy.

* Waist Strap It distributes the weight well and tilts the bag at a perfect angle to work out of. The buckles and slip stops are top notch. The padding against your body is vented and more than enough. Also, there are spots to attach some of Think Tanks modular belt system pieces. I might consider this at some point, but for now this bag holds more than enough.

* Padding Think Tank just gets this part right. The case is well framed and gives you a lot of confidence when tossing your gear into a trunk or on the ground.

* Organized It includes a ton of padded Velcro dividers to help you organize your gear how you want it. Something that's really cool is that the dividers have an extra piece of Velcro on them so you can fold the Velcro tabs over and use them as just extra padding. Nice touch!

* Front Pocket Brilliantly organized and superbly designed.

* Side Pouches Great for stuffing in snack bars and a canteen. They're made of a heavy-weight mesh with rip-stop bottoms; about 7 inches deep. There is an adjustable synch cord at the top of the pocket to keep everything inside.

* Top Handle Placed where it works best and makes the grab-and-go carry easy.

CONS:

* Main Zipper It's super meaty and kind of hard to unzip when you are wearing it as a shoulder bag. The shoulder strap loops get in the way. This isn't such a bad thing, and when you wear it with just the belt, it leans the bag away from your body enough to make unzipping easier. My solution is just leave it unzipped when I'm working no matter how I wear it.

* Price As I tell my clients when asked about competitor pricing, "People know what their product is worth and charge accordingly." You get what you pay for and it is so worth the investment. Just buy this bag, you'll love it!

WHAT I CARRY:

Some people just love peeping into another photographer's bag. So, if you were wondering what I fit and carry when I use it, here's the list. I typically do not carry all of these lenses, but when I do, it weighs in at a comfortable 12-15 pounds fully loaded with camera. Keep in mind that when I work out of it, the camera and one lens is in a my B-Grip belt holster. (FYI: I am 6'3", 175lbs, with a 33" waist.)

* Camera: Canon 7D gripped, extra batteries, CF cards

* Lenses: Rokinon 8mm Fisheye, Tokina 11-16, Canon 28mm, 60mm Macro, 85mm, 135mm (all with hoods reversed)

* Flash: Canon 430ex II, Sto-fen, Strobist gel pack, extra AA batteries

* Misc: Sekonic L-308s light meter, YongNuo RF-602's, LensPens, Color Checker, water flask

"ORIGINAL VERSION" VERSUS "V2.0"

So why spend $179 on the Speed Racer V2.0 when Amazon is currently selling the first version for $128 USD (while supplies last)? Since I did not own the original, I searched the internet forums to find an answer. The major upgrades have been to materials and design, but they are very similar.

Some of the improvements that I saw are: The waist belt tucks neatly into the sides now, into a zippered compartment, as opposed to the older version that tucks into the padding side that faces the wearer. This makes the V2.0 slightly slimmer in profile when stowed. And they added a large pocket behind the back padding. The side pouches are a tougher mesh with rip-stop bottoms and the hidden side pockets have been removed. Some of the hardware (zipper pulls, waist belt buckles and slip-stops) have been improved. The front compartment has been redesigned for more organization and ease of access.

So is all this worth the extra $50? To me, a slimmer profile means easier to carry, so yes.

I also own the Think Tank StreetWalker HardDrive backpack. Based on these two purchases, Think Tank is money well spent, and IMHO the best bang for the buck. Feel free to ask any questions you might have. Thanks for reading!

Like many working portrait and wedding photographers, I have a few specific bag requirements:

* it must hold three lenses (one of which is a 70-200mm f/2.8 tele), a mounted pro body (with vertical grip), and two speedlights.

* I must be able to work out of it easily: everything should be accessible without too much wriggling, twisting, zipping, prodding.

* It must offer some impact and climate protection

* It should look professional and help convey professionalism--so, not overly "techy," not overly styled.

I looked long and hard, but I honestly couldn't find another bag to meet these needs. I thought about the "Boda," but there's no room for speedlights or your camera body. I thought about various Tamrac, LowePro, and Kata "sling" bags, but all of the reasonable-sized options only have room for one speedlight, and many of them have such an "overstated" attention-seeking look.

But the Speed Racer is perfection. It's tough. It's basic, sleek, svelte black. It's the perfect size to hold three lenses, a body, and two speedlights. It's built with so many thoughtful design touches that make working out of it such a pleasure. The top, for example, flops up and out of your way for easy lens changes; and flops back in place with a tiny "flick" of your wrist. It's got a seam-sealed raincover that's a snap to put on. The strap is deeply padded and comfortable for all-day work.

Ordered this for my Verizon mifi because it's power button was always getting pressed in my purse causing it to power up and drain the battery. They're ok, but they're very cheaply made. The leather is barely passable as not-plastic, the zippers are cheap and weak, and they tend to sag off your belt. This is something I'd expect from a dollar store.. not worth the money.

I am a case nut, where everything has to be in it's own case and protected.

I was looking for something to carry those laptop power bricks and this is it.

If you like the smell of leather you got it with these and the larger of the

two holds the HP 95W brick with one of the 5foot flat power cables in the front

pouch and the smaller one holds the 65W brick and power cable rolled up tight and

stuffed in just the right way so it fits, or a mouse or what ever. Both with belt loops and shoulder straps to carry how ever and if they had a black set I would give it another star, but I don't see it and the brown looks very nice anyway.

Bought one set to check it out and going to buy another, why, cause as I said, I

am a case nut and I know I will use these and want a matched set.

One last thing, the price. To me there worth the 25 to 30 bucks for both. Less then 15 each and there well made, so they got a good thing going here.

This is a video to show you how to fit youre Panasonic Lumix FZ28 into this bag. I think the bag is pretty good, cheap, easy to use and very comfortable. Obviously this isn't a bag designed especifically for this model, but the dimensions of the FZ28 are 2.96'' x 4.63'' x 3.5'' (H x W x D) you can compare them with the dimensions of youre camera and see if it works for you. Amazon's description indicates that this camera case is 5 x 7.5 x 5 inches.

It is not.

The exterior measurement is between 4 1/4 and 4 1/2 inches from front to back. The bottom of the case is smaller than the top in all dimensions. The case is about 4 3/4 inches tall. Measuring from side to side, it is about 6 1/4 inches across the bottom and 7 inches at the widest point near the top. The above measurements are taken from the outside, not the inside, and I'm not including the width of the padded flap in front in my measurement, since that doesn't give much idea of the size of the case itself.

Interior measurements:

Front to back -about 4 inches. It can bulge slightly since it is a soft case, but getting it to bulge to 4 1/2 inches is really stretching it.

Top to bottom -about 4 inches at the edges and 4 3/4 inches in the middle.

Side to side -about 6 inches across the bottom to about 7 inches at the widest part near the top. This is if you remove the dividers, which are held in by velcro. The dividers can be moved anywhere because the velcro adheres to the fabric lining the interior front of the case and the interior back of the case.

I measured my camera very carefully before ordering, and going by the measurements on Amazon's page, there would have been plenty of room. Instead it's a snugger fig for my camera than I expected and it will take some creative rearranging to fit my SD cards and other camera stuff in the case.

There is a pocket on each of the 2 dividers and pockets on the right and left sides inside the case. There are no exterior pockets. The zippers at the sides of the handle on the top of the case allow access to the interior and aren't a pocket.

It's a nice red red -not an orangey red.

It looks reasonably durable, but some of the seams aren't sewn straight and pull at the corners.

It's a reasonably good case for what Amazon is selling it for. Just be aware it's smaller than what Amazon's description says.

I was looking for the smallest possible case for my new FZ-35 and after reading the reviews here and watching the nice video review, I ordered this case.

I didn't want an oversized piece of luggage for all the camera accessories I've ever owned....just enough of a "glove-type" case to protect the FZ-35.

This is the one......and Case Logic's excellent design covers every little detail......4 zippers, a carrying handle, carrying strap, belt loop, velcro quick-open lid, main double zipper lid, squeeze 'n snap clasp, 2 adjustable dividers, 4 interior pockets and LOTS of padding.

Unlike the video, I face my camera pointing to the back of the case and it easily fits all the accessories INCLUDING the charger. (that's camera, adapter ring, lense hood, strap, extra battery and charger). And there's still lots of "crevas" room for extra memory cards.

Try finding another case for the FZ35 and accessories that you can carry on your belt......and at this price, if you ever out-grow this case, it can be used for just about anything you'd like to carry on your belt for hiking, biking, or jogging.

In summary, for this quality and price....just get it!

I've had a number of camera and gadget bags over the last 25 years, all of them quite a bit larger than the Case Logic DCB-66 that I just bought for my new Canon Powershot SX20IS. I used to carry an SLR with normal lens, a sizable zoom lens, a macro lens, lens hood, and a tele-extender. I usually had a dozen rolls of film, a number of filters (each in its box for protection), notebook, the SLR manual, shutter cable, a bean bag (for those times I didn't have my tripod), and power winder. I hauled a bag filled like this around Europe for a few weeks (in addition to my regular luggage). I wouldn't be able to do it now. Most of the gadgets I carried were for functions that are built into the PS SX20IS (and many other digital cameras) today. That makes the Case Logic bag just right for me. My PS SX20IS fits nicely into the center section of the bag. I'm left with room for my lens hood, USB cable, spare batteries with compact charger, and a small notebook. I couldn't be happier with the size and weight of the whole combination. But as others have cautioned here, measure your gear carefully, assume the bag's dimensions are a little smaller than those provided in the ad, and think carefully about what you need to carry with your camera. And good luck; I hope many of you are as pleased with the bag as I am.

It's not all bad. It's a little smaller than it looks in the product pictures, which is good for portability, and it's perfect size for my Canon SX20, which is a pretty hefty power zoom camera. They aren't joking when it says "1-Pull Access" on their labels -you just pull on the tab and the case opens right up. NO FUMBLING. You can even close the clasp with one hand if you need to. Don't plan on carrying too many other accessories, though -barely enough room for a couple of filters and extra batteries. But the design is such that it rolls around real easily when it's in your car, and since there are no zippered compartments to keep spare batteries in, and the mesh pockets inside intended for that purpose are rigid instead of elastic, the batteries always end up spilling of the mesh pockets and often right out of the case if I pick up while I'm using the camera.

This is a well constructed product and is the perfect size for smaller itemslove the strong bletr or strap clip. The squeeze latch is firm at closure and yet easy to open and close. I've not found a lot of minimalist camera cases sized for compact system cameras such as those using the micro four thirds lens mount. I needed a case for my Nikon Coolpix and this is it. It is durable and the perfect size for the camera and to carry around in my purse. I found the Samsung NX1000 under the Christmas tree. I wanted to get a custom-fit case for it so I ordered the AST case. The material itself is pretty nice leather looks and feels "authentic". It has a nice leather bump-out on top for the flash. Unfortunately, due to the bump-out,there is a 1/2" gap between the back of the case and the camera. If you are worried about keeping all dust out, then this case might not be for you. Eventually, I will probably replace the case for said reason. For now, I like its custom fit and its retro look. Note: The case is two parts, and if you want to take the SD card, you have to unscrew the bottom leather piece (again, like the old camera cases). I also wished it came with a thicker strap than the camera. Now, I just have two identical straps of same width. In conclusion, this probably won't be my permanent camera case as I do want it to be dust-proof. But it is a nice-looking case that will work fine in the interim until I found a zipper case that can fit it with the lens and flash attachments.

Easy to assemble on camera. Provides great protection. At first was concerned that would not fit 50-200 mm lens but then decided that original lense remains on camera the most, and then interchange when needed.

This case is a very good quality, but not what I personally needed or wanted.

When looking at the pictures I assumed I would be able to just flip off the top of the case quickly and get a shot (with part of the case still attached at the bottom)

But with the flash attached you can't get it on and off easily...and all the convenience it lost.

It's also not completely enclosed so your camera will be exposed to dust and surrounding elements.

I also disliked the fact that you have to unscrew the case to get the disk and battery out (thought the feature would be neat...but ended up being inconvenient as well)

I returned the case and am still awaiting a refund from the sellers...
