This case was purchased for use with a CoolPix S570 camera. The slim design of the case protected the camera without adding substantially to the bulk. The quality seems very good. Just keep in mind it is designed to protect the camera, not for carrying accessories (although there is a slot inside the case where an additional memory card can be stored maybe even an extra battery, but I would refrain form that use as it puts pressure on the camera).

UPDATE May 2011: Still very fond of this bag, it has held up well after almost 2 years of fairly frequent use as a walk-around bag. In addition to fitting the Nikon D90 with 18-200 quite well, it can also carry (not together with the D90, but individually!) a Nikon D7000 mounted with either the Nikon 16-85mm (lens hood in position) or 70-300mm (with lens hood reversed).

Just got this bag today, loaded it up, and here are my first impressions. To save you some reading, I like it and recommend it especially for the Nikon D90 with 18-200 Nikon lens.

Sometimes I want to carry minimal gear, which right now means the D90/18-200 combo. This setup fits nicely into this bag, WITH the lens shade in the normal position (you don't have to reverse the lens hood to fit the outfit into this bag). I also have a tripod plate permanently fastened to my camera, and it fits as well (Arca Swiss or Kirk Plate style). The strap (Nikon D90 strap) of the camera is collected over the back of the camera before I zip the lid/cover shut on this bag, and it all fits very nicely, just snug.

The bag is padded all the way around, the same way most Tamrac bags are, some kind of rubber pad enclosed in the surrounding material, and should protect the gear against most normal bumping or use.

I almost bought the next size smaller Tamrac bag (see ), which some users reported would also fit the D90 with the 18-200 lens, but I wanted to have a couple more, slightly larger pockets as this bag does.

I've bought several Tamrac bags over the years, and as before, construction, sewing and zippers look excellent, there is nothing "cheap" about it. I looked at similar bags of several brands for $10-$20. less (online only, no personal experience) but this one looked the best for my needs and I'm glad I got it (would have liked gray, but black is apparently the only color you can get).

The window pane mesh (where the batteries are shown spilling out in the stock photo) has velcro on it, so this pocket DOES seal shut. The other pockets in that front compartment are "open" but all these pockets are inside the main, front pouch when it is zipped shut. As shown in the photo, the 2 open pockets are each about big enough for a D90 battery; it sticks out about 3/4 inch, but OK. Or, each pocket is just big enough to contain 4 AA batteries in a plastic storage case.

I don't use the "memory/battery management" red flags you see in the photo, but they're not really in the way either.

The 2 side pockets are a little smaller than I'd hoped but I can cram a notebook, remote release, or extra batteries in them. Each is about 3.5 x 5.5 inches in size.

One good feature is that when the top lid is fastened with the buckle only (and not zipped shut) the camera can NOT fall out because of the flaps hanging over the sides and front. In other words, you do not have to zip the bag shut in order to secure the camera (I'll still zip the top lid when conditions permit, but it'll be handy at times to just have the buckle clasped).

There is a zippered compartment on the inside of the padded top lid, which is advertised as a place to put lens tissue. It is large enough that I stuck my small SD card wallet in there (4 SD cards), and also a small instruction manual for a remote control device I have. The pocket is about 3.5 x 6 inches in size, larger than you might guess, but only a thin layer of material separates it from the back of your camera when the lid/top is closed. Tamrac thoughtfully made a flap covering the zipper of this little pocket, so the zipper there will not scratch the back of your camera. Anyway, I found this pocket an unexpected bonus where I could cram some more stuff.

This bag has belt loops on the back, but will be heavy enough that this may not work well on a basic pants belt. There is a shoulder strap provided; it's pretty basic but is easy to unclip if you want it out of the way, or you can sling it over your shoulder. There's no padding in the strap, but it does have that grippy rubber lining to keep it from slipping off your shoulder.

So here's what's in the bag right now:

Nikon D90 with 18-200 lens, with lens hood in position.

A remote control (includes a time lapse device, so its larger than a basic remote).

Another remote control (wireless, google wireless D90 remote)

A Solmeta GPS unit for the D90

One set of 4 AA batteries (for another GPS or my Nikon flash units, which are carried separately).

2 or 3 D90 batteries, could probably get 4 or 5 in there somewhere, if needed.

4 SD cards in a wallet

pen and 3x5 notebook

Business cards

And a little room left over, but your water bottle, tripod, and 500mm lens will have to go elsewhere!

I had an older Tamrac bag that was always a bit tight with my Canon 50D and 18-200 or 55-250 lens. I debated getting the next smaller bag that this one, but figured that a little extra room is always good, plus I have ordered the Canon 7D which is slightly larger per this page

It has no problem with the 50D and 18-200/55-250 and I'm able to zip it shut if I'm worried about the elements. However, I almost always just clip the buckle shut, so if I don't zip it, those lens with the lens hood attached will fit ... so you just unclip and start shooting nice!One small negative is that the bag is "noisy" i.e. all those zippers "clang" around a bit as you walk with it.

Update: I shot a baseball game this evening and you don't really even hear the zippers when outside.

I was looking for a bag for when I go hiking or wherever, when I just plan on taking along my walkaround lens. This bag fits the bill perfectly. I'm basing this fit on my Canon 50D and 24-70mm f/2.8 lens, which has a wider barrel than most lenses. Once the camera, lens and shoulder strap are all packed into the bag, there is only about a 1/2" of room. Nice snug fit and works perfectly. Room for my cell phone, keys and extra batteries, too. Bag is very well constructed.

I'd also like to add that I originally purchased the Tamrac 5684 / Zoom 4 bag. I returned it because I could barely zip it closed. It was a nice tight fit, but I just needed about an inch more room and that's exactly what this bag does. The 5684 would be perfect with this camera and the kits lens, but it didn't work for my needs.

I have gone through a lot of small camera bags trying to find just the right size and features for my needs. I had a smaller size of this same model that I used with my smaller Canon XTi and just barely with a 40d and a short lens, but when I got the Canon 7d I needed a bigger one. It took a lot of searching to find the same model but this one is it, and it works just fine. I think they got the number and arrangement of pockets and the zippers, latches and attachment rings just right on this one too. It currently holds my Canon 7d and 18-55 EF-S lens with hood, CF cards, lens cleaner and spare battery. It could handle a lens a little longer than that maybe the 24-105 lens, but not the larger zooms. I can clip it to my backpack straps to ride on my chest when the weather is more than I want my camera to be exposed to when hiking. My only complaintl is a trivial one: I wish I could have got it in gray instead of black because the black gets lost in the shadows of my car trunk or passenger side seat footwell where it often goes.

I bought this for my Nikon D90 with the Nikon 18-200 and 70-300 lenses. Although the description of the case states that it will fit a lens up to 7 inches, the case will not close with the 70-300 zoom. (This lens measures about 6 inches in its fully retracted position.) It does close with the 18-200. The "snout" of the case is rather narrow and will not fit over the Nikon-supplied hood (carried in the reversed position) for either lens. Because the 18-200 and, to a lesser extent, the 70-300 are prone to flare in some conditions, this is a serious issue.

The case appears to be a clever idea that should offer meaningful protection for a small sized DSLR with a short zoom. However, it is a poor choice for a D90 with two of Nikon's most popular lenses. Ratings reflect the case with the Nikon D90 and the 18-200 and 70-300 VR zooms.

I just purchased this cover based on my previous ownership of a smaller Zing SLR cover. I had an older standard sized cover that worked great for my first generation Digital Rebel with Tamron 28-300mm zoom. I used the old cover when hiking and backpacking with my camera and really appreciated the quick release strap that went around your back to keep the camera from swinging. The cover protected the camera well against light rain, sweat and shock. I never had a problem with it. I have since upgraded to the Canon 40D and it took quite a bit of tugging and stretching to fit it in the standard cover. I just got the new Tamron 18-270mm stabilized lens and there was no way this new combo was fitting in the standard pouch.

Enter the Large Zoom SLR cover. I am able to fit the 40D with a quick release tripod mounting plate and the 18-270mm lens with the lens hood attached into this cover. It is a bit tight, I think because the quick release plate extends the height of the body, but it fits. This lens has a 72mm filter size, but the body is even wider than that due to the stabilization mechanisms, and the lens hood is wider too, but they still fit in the zoom tunnel OK. This cover has velcro tabs on the portion that closes around the lens whereas the older, smaller model had to be pulled around the end of the lens. There is a little bit of room at the end of the lens pouch with this lens/body combo, but not much. The only real problem I have with the cover is Zing changed from the around-the-back quick release strap to a little difficult to attach and detach strap that hooks to your camera's neck strap. This does nothing to prevent swinging and swaying if you are wearing this while hiking. I plan to modify mine to add this functionality.

Pros:

Fits my 40D with Tamron 18-270mm lens + hood

Good Weather / Shock Resistance

Excellent Longevity and Quality (based on previous Zing experience)

Cons:

No around-the-back strap to prevent swinging when wearing it around your neck

Camera cases offer better protection, but they're too inconvenient for walking around. These neoprene shells are a nice compromise.

FYI, this is a good size for the Canon XSi (I originally bought the 510-102, but it was too small). The lens portion of the cover is long enough for Canon's 55-250IS lens.

Also, although Amazon's stock photo looks purple, it's actually a much nicer dark blue color.

Bought this for a week-long vacation to Ireland, where we didn't want to lug around the camera bag we already had. Worked great, really nice to have the camera protected whether it was thrown in a backpack or slung around the neck/shoulder. The only problem I had was the fit of it. The Canon XSi with the kit 18-55mm lens fit, but there was a bit of room at the end of the 'tube' of the lens cover. With the kit 55-250 it fit perfect. At the end of the trip, we were actually a little mad that we had purchased a separate camera bag (which we left at home) because this worked so well.

I was looking for a neoprene cover to put over the camera so that I can safely carry it in my regular day pack while out and about. I didn't want to be limited to physically short lenses, I am thrilled to find that the Zing Large Zoom cover works with the T3i/70-300mm combination. It is comfortably snug with the lens alone and tighter with the hood on backwards. I don't plan to carry it with the hood on backwards, but I tried it to see if it would work. The cover also works great with the T3i and the 18-135mm kit lens, with or without the hood on backwards. There is a little bit of empty space in front of the 18-135mm lens with no hood, but it's not enough to pucker up or look funny. I would use a cover with a shorter snout with lenses pysically shorter than the 18-135mm. The cover seems well made, with smooth seams and a stong velco closure on the flaps that go under the lens. So far I am very pleased. If I have any problems, I will update this review.

Billinghams are not cheap in design or price. This case is no different. What you get will last you for a long long time and is waterproof unlike some of the more popular typical cases. I chose this case for its basic simple design to house my mirrorless camera w/ lens and a couple of more lenses. The front pocket could be slightly deeper but holds batteries, charger, SDHC cards, remote. I would have given it 5 stars if the that front pocket was slightly deeper and if the case came with a shoulder pad (rather than buying separate).

I've seen many DSLR professionals use this bag and other varieties of Billingham bags. The construction is very well made. It has many pockets and dividers inside so that you can customize your camera, lens and other gear. I use it when I want to take my 7D and 3 lenses on location or a trip. However, when I travel and want all my gear with me, I use the Pelican 1510 because it will let me carry everything.

The F/Stop f1.4 Billingham bag is elegant for carrying your equipment around town. The fabric is easy to clean and is water resistant.The flat on top makes sure that nothing will slip in or outside of the bag. Overall, a great bag. I might go and get the smallest one for a 1 camera and 1 lens option.

I really like the camera bag I bought from this vendor. it is cute and has a soft cloth with it for cleaning your screen. Also it came with a strap to hold it with. The screen cling did not work out though. It kept having air bubbles. I finally gave up with it. I also like the wrist band that was sent.

I guess that you get what you pay for. While the construction is good and the materials are nice, it is a very sloppy fit for my new Canon Elph and has no padding whatsoever. I wont use it for the camera but will find some other use for it since th postage to return it would cost as much as the product itself.

The case pictured on listings for the PSC-5200 looks just like the overseas Japan/UK/Australia case available for the G10 -the SC-DC60A.

This is NOT that case. I uploaded a gallery of images of the actual case I received. Please check out my photos before you decide whether or not to buy. It is perfectly functional, but is clearly a simpler, more cheaply made case than the SC-DC60A. It is made in China.

Goods arrived in good working order. Everything was branded as "Canon" and appears to be of good quality, workmanship, and materials. It was of course designed for a G10 and the G11's dimensions are ever so slightly different, but nonetheless it pretty much fit like a glove. In order to accomodate the G11's flip-out screen, I took a pair of tin-snips to the left hand side and trimmed some material out of the way to allow for the screen to flip-out easily. A little touch of sharpie black marker to the edge helped my handiwork to blend in somewhat better.

The other reviewer is correct, in that the stitching is somewhat different on the case you will receive there are two diagonal stitches at the top front that are not shown in the amazon photo. Otherwise, I can find no difference. What is important, I think, is that this case is far nicer than the other leather canon case made for the G-series, which is clunky and ill-fitting. This one fits nicely, screwing into place with the tripod fastener. It is also much easier to use in that the top of the case is both openable and removable. I think the quality is quite good and for a genuine leather case, the price is a miracle.

I have had the Stealth reporter D400 AW for about a year. Extremely well made and needed another bag. I find the 550 as well made and useful as to 400. This bag easily handels a Canon 100-400 'L' series, 70-200mm 'L' series plus a number of other lenses and a 40D with battery pack.

This is a very rugged equipment bag. It's not a bag to load and carry around all day however. Oh the bags great. But once loaded with quality gear.... it's HEAVY.

For just smaller lenses and camera body, I'd recommend the Lowepro Slingshot. Very handy and easily carries stuff for a day trip. But the Slingshot won't easily carry the larger 'L' series lenses.

The Stealth Reporter line is highly reommended for Pro's and semi-pros for getting equipment to and from a shoot.

This is a nice bag that offers good protection for your gear. That said, be aware that its somewhat cubical shape makes it an awkward carry and sometimes it is a chore to fit into overhead bins in airliners. I find myself wishing that there were more and larger external pockets for small items. The existing pockets are not gussseted very deeply. Again, a nice bag but not something you will want to carry around except for getting to your "basecamp" where you can move the gear into smaller, more portable bags.

An excellent value in a very high quality camera bag! The Stealth provides sufficient flexible storage for a DSLR body, several lenses, and a large asst of accessories. I presently have mine set up to carry a pro DSLR body, two lenses, a couple of strobes, plus many accessories that neatly pack into the many storage compartments. The bag is extremely well made, and even provides excellent protection for your gear in wet weather. I really like the storm-proof zipper at the top that allows for quick access to your gear when there isn't time to open the locking flap and do the full un-zip.

I owned the 400 AW but outgrew it.

The 550AW is perfect for my 7D and lenses from the Canon 70 200 f/2.8 IS to my 8mm superwide. All in all I have six lenses and some small stuff.

The design is near perfect and the spacer supplied to seperate lenses when two are stacked in one pocket is wonderful.

The bag, as is the norm for Lowepro, is built of the best material and well sewn. It will protect my gear and yet is not too large to carry. The laptop pocket is so well padded my iPad fits and I do not worry about stress fractures of the face.

I was looking for a soft bag that would hold all my photo gear and this bag fit the bill perfectly. I didn't want a hard bag because they are uncomfortable to carry and can bang into the car when loading and unloading. This holds my two camera bodies and 5 lenses and all the other related stuff like memory cards, filters, adapters, etc. The zippered top entry is really nice and the shoulder strap is comfortable and does not slip. Most of my bags will fall off my shoulder when walking around and this one stays put. Great bag!

This is an excellent case for the Kodak Easyshare Z990. It seems sturdy, well-padded and weather-resistant as advertised. It is very light weight and pretty compact considering the size of the camera. It has a central divider attached with velcro strips that can be moved/removed for a better fit or positioning of the camera. It also has some small additional storage pockets. I find that I am able to carry my charger and spare batteries in the case, which is convenient. It has a nice shoulder strap but I do not see a way to attach it to a belt. However, given the size of the case, wearing it on a belt doesn't seem to practical to me anyway. When I bought my case it was listed as a "Kodak Easyshare Max Z990 Digital Camera Case. I pointed out to the seller, East Coast Trading that the case and the packaging in which it arrived do not mention Kodak or any specific camera and that the invoice describes it as "Water Resistant Camcorder & Digital Camera Case." The seller was very responsive and said they would request that the listing be changed. I am very satisfied and recommend this case and seller.

My Kodak z990 fits well into the bag. There are several pockets for the camera accessories. I have not tested if it is waterproof. However, comparing it with "Case Logic DCB-304 High/Fixed Zoom Camera Case (Black)" , which a friend of mine has, this product is worse. This bag is more expensive and worse padded.
