I purchased this for the LCD screen on the back of my new Canon G9 camera. The screen is quite large and vulnerable to scratches if I carried it inside my large camera case with my other camera. The ShieldZone Invisible Shield is a wonderful way to protect that. It is easy to install.. just be sure to follow instructions carefully. I found it helpful to go to the site and follow their video. Once it's on there is no distortion of the image at all. It looks just the same as it did without the shield only now it will not scratch. Perfect for anything with a screen that needs to be protected.

I don't know if I should give it 5 stars. It works very well, it certainly sticks to and protects what you let it touch. The fact that it's a bit hard to get in place without drowning in the liquid they provide is... well, that's what you get with something that sticks well. Once in place it really does its job... so maybe I should give it 5? But it's rather expensive for a few cents worth of rather special plastic.

I purchased the waist shooter a little while back thinking it was a cool concept and if I didn't like it, I would just return it. Well, after trying it once, I was totally hooked!

I tried it as a belt bag my first time out and it was simply amazing. I shoot mostly for fun, but occasionally I do portrait sessions for friends. I had 2 lenses and my CF cards in the bag and it was so easy swapping lenses in and out in a snap. Lenses fit comfortably, and I could even clip the bag closed when I was on the move for extra security. The only downside is that if you are sitting in the car, you probably need to either take the bag off or take the lenses out as it can be uncomfortable. The main thing is that I was worried about having a belt bag or fanny pack attached on my hip, but surprisingly it actually looks quite good! It is very slim and light weight and while it is still a belt bag, it is the best belt bag I have seen, haha!

But, seems like they thought of that. The bag actually comes with a wonderfully comfortable strap as well so you can either sling it messenger bag style, or wear it on the waist. So if you are anti-fanny pack, it does have a strap as well. I am kind of a girly girl, so I dig the purple and pink covers, which I have both. But, there are tons of cover choices for guys and girls, which is awesome. In a few months, when I get tired of the way it looks, I can just get a new cover rather than buying a whole new bag.

Anyway, amazing product, simple and great design and I would highly recommend this to really anyone that enjoys shooting. Whether you are a hobbiest, portrait photographer, travel photographer, whatever it is that you enjoy shooting, this bag is extremely handy.

Love this bag for my weddings. I do primarily videography with SLR's (a Canon 5D) so I switch out lenses often. I usually carry a 100mm f/2.8 lens as well as a 50mm F/1.2 lens. It's great if you're just looking to carry two lenses and a couple memory cards. It's not great if you're relying on it for your only bag. You definitely need to have a larger bag as well to carry the majority of your gear. Think of this as a little bonus bag or as an extension of your pockets on your pants that happen to fit two lenses.

SLR gear is heavy, so I want my bag to not be. I have a D700 that I carry everywhere I go. The camera is heavy and bulky but honestly I can't live without it. The lenses for my camera are no joke either. This is where the Waist Shooter comes in handy. When I go on my day trips with my friends, it's great to have a lens bag that 1 isn't heavy and 2 isn't ugly. The peace of the puzzle that really put me over the top and made me a big fan was the strap. It's super flexible and comfortable. BTW, if it helps, I'm around 5' 5" and around 120 lbs (female). I can't imagine carrying anything huge and this bag looks great on me. Recommended for anyone around my size.

If you're familiar with the Shootsac, then at first glace you'll notice a similar look and function. The main differences are 1) this only has two pockets while the Shoot Sac has three (plus the two on the back), 2) you can wear this on the belt or on the shoulder, and 3) this has a much more comfortable and higher-quality strap.

This bag is very very simple. It's simply two neoprene pockets, a uniquely shaped strap, a leather cover with two netted pockets and a belt attachment. This same simplicity is its primary benefit because it is slim and gets the job done for what it's supposed to do. I usually carry around 1 flash, a 580ex, and a lens, a Canon 24-70mm lens and it's perfect for this. On my body, I'll have one other lens (usually a prime lens) that I'll switch between.

I sometimes shoot events every single day of the week so it's important for me to keep the weight off of my shoulders and for me to carry minimal equipment and weight. If you're looking to lug around your large zoom lenses (bigger than a 70-200), then this is NOT for you. If you're looking to carry the kitchen sink, this is not for you. If your an event photographer with a simple set up, this is your solution.

I was a little reluctant to buy something so small and thin for 80 big ones but I was convinced by my photog friend who swears by it. The conversation started when I was complaining about my back and my feet. I tried switching shoes (even wearing tennis shoes to a wedding), which definitely helped. But in the end, I was still feeling pretty beat up after a wedding (I don't have good feet in the first place). I realized that no matter what I was wearing, if I'm carrying 10-15 pounds of equipment during the wedding day, I'm going to have a little bit of pain.

what I love about the Waist Shooter is that it allows me carry my 3 essential lenses (two in the bag and one on my camera): the 85mm, the 24mm and the 70-200. I then leave everything else in a safe place at the reception hall. I really don't need my 100mm or my wide angle with me at all times, so I leave this on my assistant or in the safe place. Sometimes I wear the Waist Shooter around my shoulder and sometimes I wear it around my belt. This has helped a ton as far as reducing pain goes. It allows me to last until the very last dance (or whenever they book me till :) with more energy than I normally have when my dogs are barking (i.e. feet are killing me).

It's a MUST HAVE for any wedding tog.

Yes, it's 'nice' for the money and real cheap leather.

Not good in the rain but does fit the X-E1. But...

-Mine came with a razor box cutter cut right across the front deep

into the leather.

-The photo is completely deceivingit barely fits with the standard

18-55mm lens attached, and will in no way fit with the lens hood

on the lens.

-The way its designed, it will always knock or or squish the lens

cap off when you remove the camera and lens.

-If you have any accessories like a thumb grip, shutter button,

etc, it will not protect them and will either eventually knock them off

or render the case useless as any kind of carrying protection.

-Is is NOT designed ergonomically to easily access your storage card

or battery, and is a real hassle to practically disassemble and remove the case

just to get to your card and battery.

-It actually makes your X-E1 stand out more as a security risk. being some more expensive camera for the bad guys to target, vs a not so obvious camera bag.

-The strap is made to attach to the body only, NOT the case, making it a real hassle when the strap gets in the way. Strap need to be attached to the case.

-About impossible to get any communication from the seller before, during, or after the sale. Not good.

I was able to fit a wall charger, AC adapter, lens filter, tripod, A/V cables, and two batteries in addition to the camera itself. Overall it does a great job for my camera. Not a bad price, either.

Bought this for a Canon HF200.

It is able to store the camera as well as cords, spare battery, cards, etc. The divider helps to keep cords separate from the camera, and the zipper pockets allow a few places to stuff cards and extras. The side pockets are very tiny though, and won't fit much more than SD cards, where the front pocket allows for a set of headphones, or a small phone, etc. The padding seems quite adequate to protect from falls and bumps.

The carry strap is fairly standard, and the bag has belt loops if you prefer that, but overall I found it a bit bulky for daily carry, so this bag is used mostly only for traveling to/from destinations with the camera. For day trips I opted to pick up the Aero 92 (also by Tamrac) which is much more suited to short trips.

For a bag that can carry and protect everything you need, this one works pretty well, as long as you don't mind a little more bulk. Personally, bulky means I don't bring my camera at all, so the smaller bag (Aero 92) is preferable for that, but for what it is, this is a pretty good bag. Combining the 2 bags depending on the use has worked out best for us and I would still highly recommend this one.

I bought this for my daughter, to go with a Panasonic SD9 camcorder. It's a great size for this, and would seem to offer ample protection.

I would give 5 stars, but for that to happen, it would have to have been available in pink... there are apparently no actual, real camcorder or camera bags done in pink.

Call me a visual person but I just love things that match. These Sanyo bags fit my Yellow Sanyo WH1 Waterproof camera and are qaulity made a great deal for the proce. I had an older model of this camera case which I LOVED. Unfortunately, it got accidentally dipped in olive oil, which left the case with a permanent oily residue. I immediately got onto Amazon and ordered another one, with high expectations. The newer model fits less snugly on my camera, and the material is more flimsy. I'm really unimpressed with the choices of colors, too. (The last one was red, which is no longer available.) I love the concept, but I wish the manufacturer had stuck with the original design and materials.

Review of Gariz Genuine Leather XS-CHRX1BK Camera Metal Half Case for Sony

I purchased the Gariz Half Case for practical reasons but also for its aesthetic appeal. There is no doubt that the fit and finish are first rate and the incremental increase in girth and height that it adds to my SONY RX1 improves my grip of the camera. I very much like the bottom plate with the cutout for access to the battery and card door, the shotgun connector as part of the tripod screw, and the addition of a tripod mount. All of this tells me they paid attention to what a photographer needs on the bottom of their camera. Unfortunately, the implementation is wanting. The cutout requires you to have slim fingers to reach in and remove your card. It's easy enough to remove the battery, but you might need a tweezer or a long nail on your finger to get that card out. The connector for a shotgun (or other) sling is great to have, and an important reason for me to have bought this case, but Gariz recommends that you should add their safety loop (not included) to ensure that the connector doesn't come loose, crashing your camera to the ground. Adding such a loop only complicates the usability of the camera, giving you one more thing attached to the camera when the idea of the shotgun approach is to eliminate superfluous attachments. I've used other screw-in connectors (and those companies do tell you to check for tightness), but I worry that this Gariz connector might loosen more easily. I haven't had this happen in the short time that I've owned the case, so this might not be a problem. I won't add a safety loop, so I'll be sure to check the tightness of the connector each time I set out to use it. One other thing about that connector, and it is bit funny to me because I'm a technical editor. Gariz refers to the connector as a "Locking Time Indicator." When I first saw this case reviewed and read those words, I assumed they meant that something on the bottom functioned as a timer. Well, this is a translation matter, as far as I can see. The way this thing works is as a "reminder;" that is, when you tighten the screw, you make sure that you stop at the 6 o'clock (and XII) alignment setting. If you later look at the connector and it's off that setting, you are reminded to tighten it. Ah, I get it.

All in all, I'm very happy with the case and I'm pleased that I bought it. Expensive? Yes, but isn't just about every "branded " accessory for the RX1?

For what they are, these Gariz cases are terribly expensive, and ultimately I'm not even sure they provide any additional protection for the camera. The lens on the RX1 is the heaviest part of the camera and most likely to suffer the greatest consequences if dropped accidentally. That said, the bottom plate of the case does offer some hope for preventing damage to the battery door and inner clip (that 3¢ piece of plastic that holds the battery in place and could render your $2,800 camera temporarily inoperable if broken). The leather casing provides a slightly firmer grip, and the camera really does feel more secure in-hand with the case than without. Other than that, I suspect the main purpose for owning this case is mostly for the looks.

As other reviewers stated the rubber case is not worth the effort. Not bad if you never want to change lens or use a tripod. By the time you change the lens the shot you want is gone. The product was shipped in the time listed, and arrived in good shape.

Poor quality , the stitching on the seams have not been done with good detailing and straps are poor quality leather reproduction .This item is over priced for what you actually get . Along with the wait time it took before I received the item in shipment.
