Cheap LOWEPRO Z5 Black Camera Pouch Carry Case

LOWEPRO Z5 Black Camera Pouch Carry Case
Customer Ratings: 5 stars

It is a little big for my Canon Powershot A-510, but you cannot beat the price.

Pros:

Sturdy construction

Price (cases of comparable size cost more)

Zipper for main compartment (most other brands have velcro, which weakens over time)

Cons:

Shoulder strap hooks are all plastic (other brands use metal)

Only one zipper (some have two that meet at the top)

Velcro for front pocket

It also comes with a belt loop that you have to unbuckle your belt to loop through. I prefer this type, because it is less likely to come undone. Other camera case brands have belt loops with velcro or snaps, which I suppose other people prefer.

Best Deals for LOWEPRO Z5 Black Camera Pouch Carry Case

I purchased this case for my Canon Powershot SD1100 IS digital camera (a fairly small camera). The case has ample room for this camera alone, but, for a traveller like me the space is VERY handy.

First I have found there is enough room to fit the camera PLUS the battery charger in the main pocket, a great way to save space and not have to seperate the two in luggage juggling. Also helps you keep from misplacing the charger elsewhere from the camera.

Second With the camera and charger packed in the main pocket there is room enough for a spare battery and a couple extra memory cards in the front velcro pocket.

Great for lite travel packing.

This case is ok if you want a simple case that just (barely) fits the Nikon Coolpix L20 camera. It will keep it from getting scratched in your purse or whatever. It has a velcro closure that looks like it will eventually pull loose if I keep opening and closing it. It has a belt loop on the back if you're into that. There is NO room to put anything else in the case. Not even spare batteries.

I like the color (navy blue) and it says Nikon Coolpix on the front. I plan to purchase a different camera bag that can accommodate the USB cord and spare batteries. It's a good case if you're looking for simplicity and don't need extra storage space.

Its very cool but too small for my preferences, it only fits on the camera, you cant carry chargers, nor aditional batteries or cables, it can be used just for protecting your camera.

I'll be looking for a better one and l'll update this review once i've found it

Best Deals for Nikon L Series Neoprene Case (Blue)

The case fits my Nikon L18 like a glove and the blue color matches my blue camera nicely. I like the way the neoprene offers a spongy protection but is soft and cozy and won't scratch the camera surface.

If I could recommend improvements, I would like it to have a reinforced patch inside the flap so that the fabric won't wear over time rubbing against the metal wrist strap loop. It would also be nice if the belt loop had a Velcro or snap fastener so you don't have to remove your belt to put it on.

Overall, an excellent choice for a pocket camera and I would purchase it again.

Honest reviews on Nikon L Series Neoprene Case (Blue)

This item is to small for L20 it holds it very snug but nothing else fits in the case. It is hard to get the SD cards in and out. It does repel water to a degree probably not in a down pore.

I purchased this backpack bundle for an upcoming Cruise to the Caribbean with several ports of call. I needed something not too big, but big enough for all my gear and be flexible enough to be a shore excursion pack when I needed it to be.

I received it in good condition, before the delivery estimate, it was shipped promptly and packaged carefully with the other items that were purchased at the same time.

Of course, the first thing I had to do once I got it out of the box was grab my camera gear and laptop accessories and see if I could stuff it to the gills and then see how much room was left if any...

SIZE It is a pretty good sized bag it held my Nikon D90 with several lenses (one of them a 300mm), a couple of flashes, card readers, my camcorder, a small underwater camera, all the extra batteries, chargers and accessories and a laptop, its charger, wireless mouse and all of its goodies. That's a lot of stuff! I was amazed that three bags of stuff went into one backpack!

Now, of course, I didn't pack the kitchen sink or any cinder blocks and I left some of my less used accessories behind, but still, it weighs a ton... But at least I will be able to get it all on board in one bag! I plan on stripping some gear out of it for shore excursions.

POCKETS & ZIPPERS This thing has heavy duty zippers on all sides! I especially like the main lower compartment access on BOTH sides of the bag from the sides where the camera and lenses are stashed. It makes for quick and easy access to the camera and the most used accessories while cradling the rest of them inside the lower compartment, in Velcro dividers. There is access from the back panel for the center of the lower camera compartment as well with a zippered mesh pouch on the flip down access door I used for manuals, lens cleaner pens, etc. The upper compartment has little pouches on the sides inside to stash cables, battery packs, memory cards, etc. The laptop compartment puts your laptop (and notebooks, books, folders) against your back so you don't feel any lumpy camera gear inside the pack and the zippers are sort of a bitch to get to if you don't know where they are GOOD safety/security feature! Once you know where they are, it's easy.

"STASH POCKET" One pocket of note on the upper portion on one side, on the outside, with a Velcro flap, is a simple slip-in pocket it appears to be the PERFECT size for a passport and papers. Making for an easy place to stash your important papers when going through customs. (I wouldn't LEAVE it there while traveling, but it's a good size for a small wallet, cell phone, cigarettes, etc.)

PORTABILITY This bag has several handles on it, making carrying it "not as a backpack" a lot easier. I have used one of the handles on the side to attach gear bags with belt loops for outside storage. The one on top is heavy duty and handles the load I stuffed into it without any strain at all.

STABILITY When stuffed this bag likes to sit upright when you sit it down on the ground which I love. I hate for a pack to fall over because the bottom is shaped like an egg. It seems stable, even though it is sort of top-heavy from all the battery packs I have stuffed in the upper compartment with all the chargers. (that's MY packing job, not their problem...)

TRIPOD BUNDLE The tripod is light, aluminum and comes in its own rain-cover, a sock style case with a drawstring closure. It is a small and light tripod for traveling. It is so light duty I am a little worried about how it will handle a D90 with a big double battery grip, a 2x tele-converter and a 300mm lens... We shall see how it performs but it is sort of what I expected in a "bundle" like this. It will be good for my wife's small point and shoot, so I am more than happy with it. It attaches via a little leg pouch and adjustable snap strap NOT Velcro.

The ONLY thing that I think would make this bag better is some simple sewn in straps or loops for attaching other stuff to. Little straps or loops for Velcro straps to attach sunglasses cases, water bottles, straps for a monopod, etc... Much like I have seen on the "National Geographic" camera bags. Simple loops so you can roll up a windbreaker, over shirt or jacket and Velcro strap it to the loops or something. I will be making a couple of simple modifications to mine to hold things like this.

So far, I am happy with the purchase and my new bag I will have to see how it performs when we take the trip! It is exactly what I expected, it seems heavy duty enough and I look forward to using it. I stuffed it to the gills and there isn't much room left, but it sure swallowed an awful lot more than I expected! Thus allowing me to take it all in ONE bag!

Thanks to Butterfly Photo for being so prompt!

MP

*** AFTER TRIP UPDATE ***

We used this for our "shore excursion pack" it rocked! We stuffed a lot of duty free shopping stuff inside of it and had lots of room left over for cameras, snorkel and mask and other sundry items. It is a little big compared to the little bags other folks walked off of the cruise ship with but we weren't walking back to the boat with two arms loaded with bags either! We LOVED how this thing has all sorts of little nooks and crannies, zippered pouches and easy access to the inside via the side mounted zipper openings! The little passport pouch was good too! We used it for the GPS and the passports at every port. This pack made our trip easier!

I liked the look of this little case from the start. My Fujifilm F550EXR camera fits snug in there, and I feel perfectly safe knowing it's strapped into memory foam cushion surrounded by a hard shell exterior. There is a little pocket inside for SD cards or extra batteries (needed with this camera and all its battery life-sucking features). I wish the pocket could be closed, because sometimes when I open the case, if you don't hold it right the objects can come spilling out of it. A velcro closure would have been a nice addition. Also, the memory foam seems a bit harder than I thought it would be, but still it is a good thing. The camera is not in any danger with this case, and the case itself looks sharp. Zipper and materials are very good quality. This case is a steal at $11.

The bag is well made (good materials and stitching). It fits our nikon 3100 very nicely plus extra memory cards, another lens, and cables. Best part about it is it doesn't look like a traditional camera bag so my wife doesn't feel as much a target when carrying it on trips.

Love, love, love this bag! I can fit my Canon T3i with the 18-55mm lens on, my zoom lens, HD camcorder and point and shoot camera in here and it fits perfectly. The construction is substantial and there are two moveable soft dividers you can use inside the bag to section it off. I love that it closes magnetically with a velcro security strap that means just general open/close doesn't make any noise. I would buy this bag again and again!

I've been using this bag for a little over a month and I really like it. It fits my DSLR and extra lens perfectly. I really like the extra pockets which are big enough for a cell phone, small wallet, pens, etc. If you didn't have an extra lens, then you could really carry even more in it (like a bottle of water or snacks perhaps). My favorite thing about the bag is that it doesn't scream "camera bag"! It's comfortable and easy to carry and I can see using this on a vacation. It's a great bag at a great price.

This is my big grab it all or store it all bag. It stores my nikon 1 j1 compact camera system, three extra lenses, charging plug & cord, extra battery, filters for the lenses, and my tiny sony wx80 point and shoot with its charger. With all this it is full but closes and secures perfectly. I can take it all with me for big photo trips or just store everything together so nothing gets misplaced. I think with a full sized dslr camera it would be more of a 'day bag', the bigger camera with an extra lens or two and go.

I have been using this bag for about a year now. I find that side zipper access to my camera to be absolutely awesome, I can have my camera out of its well protected carrying place in a matter of seconds. The padded shoulder straps are comfortable for me, and I never feel anything jabbing into my back as I'm hiking as the there is padding there too. The upper section is a perfect fit for my Sigma 150:500, which is a big telescopic lens. I also like that I can reconfigure the lower half using the provided velcro strapped dividers. Not only am I impressed by the quality of the stitching and material, it is also made in the USA, which makes it even more satisfying.

Backstory:

I did quite a bit of exploring and research before settling on this pack. I wanted something a bit larger than my original bag (Lowepro Slingshot 200) and something that would be ideal for hiking. I also wanted to be able to easily carry 4 lens, a flash, and my camera body. A tripod option was preferred, but I ended up giving up on that option.

Decision:

Being a satisfied owner of a Lowepro already, one of the first bags I considered when expanding to a larger bag was a Lowepro Fastpack 350. After finding one in a store, I decided that it would be too much of a hassle to go through a zipper plus 2 buckles every time I wanted to switch a lens.

Thats when I settled on the Tamrac 3385. It has a huge amount of space (without being overly cumbersome), looks like an average backpack, and allows quick access to either my ready-to-go camera, or my lens. I do have to set it down on the ground or another surface to access the spare lens, but so far no one has come up with a better solution. The shoulder straps are comfortable and the two zipper design is sufficient.

Pros/Cons:

The waterproof zipper is a little harder to slide and tends to take 2 hands to close, but its not a big deal (I haven't tried it in weather around or below freezing though). The large zipper on the back of the pack is a bit hard to zip with one hand because the water shielding flap gets stuck in it, but its ok once you get used to it. I would prefer to have a couple more smaller compartments inside, but there's enough to work with. There is no chest strap or waist strap on the model I purchased, but I haven't missed it yet. I can always sew one on myself later if I choose to. It also seems to carry the weight of a full load nicely.

Summary:

I would recommend this pack if you're looking for something on the larger side (4 lens + flash + camera + extra gear) and fast access, inconspicuous, and comfort.

Notes:

As someone else had mentioned in a review, it is important to make sure both zippers are closed before putting the pack back on your back. I have had a couple close calls, but luckily nothing worse.

I purchased this just before a trip to Canada to photography loons and other birds. It was easy to use and covered my tripod and myself completely. This Sony bag, purchased at Amazon, was designed to carry the NEX-VG10 is an excellent design for its intended function. The bag is big enough to hold the camcorder and all of its accessories yet small enough not to be obtrusive. The bag is well built and is well padded to protect its contents. If you have a Sony NEX-VG10 or similar sized camcorder, I strongly recommend this caring bag.

I haven't used it much yet, but you can tell is a good quality case. What I like the most is the price... There's a huge gap when comparing with the price in sony.com.

Best Deals for Sony LCS-VCD Carrying Case for NEX-VG10 - Black

I have to give Sony credit for this very well designed camera bag. It is well-padded to protect your Sony nex-VG-10/20/30 camcorder and accessories. The bag is roomy enough to hold not just the camcorder but also you can easily fit at least one spare lens in the bag and put that lens in the velcro'd lens bag that this bag also comes with. It also has plenty of room for the a/c adapter and cord that the camcorder comes with and can also easly hold one or more usb cables, a small pad of paper or your smartphone well you get the idea. There are two large side pockets and one very large froont pocket to hold even more camera stuff like memory cards, earphones, lens wipes and so on.

I bought a Sony ACVQV10 AC Adaptor/Charger Sony ACVQV10 AC Adaptor/Charger -Black that looks big (and works great, see my review on this item) and fits into one of the side pockets as if those pockets were made for this charger. Impressive.

But wait there's more! There are two removable platforms inside the bag that allow you to store even more stuff underneath at the bottom of the bag and store your camcorder on top. As if all this wasn't enough, there's a zippered pouch on the back of the bag that contains a waterproof rain cover and encases the entire top 2/3 of the bag in wet conditions. If you do get this cover wet, be sire to dry it thoroughly before stuffing it back into the pouch or you will be begging for a mildew problem.

Honest reviews on Sony LCS-VCD Carrying Case for NEX-VG10 - Black

I got this for Christmas 2011, and love it. They thought of everything when they designed the bag, including a built in rain poncho! High price, but worth it! And it fits my camera (NEX-VG20H) like a glove. It even holds my tripod.

the material is good but the size is too big for the Canon SD940IS that I bought for it. And when I say big, I mean half an inch too tall and half an inch too wide for the camera.

Very unhappy about this product. It is WAY too large for the SD 780 or 940. I was expecting it to be a tight sleeve but you can shake the camera around inside the case. Would return if it wasnt a big hassle and if I wouldnt lose the cost of a new case just in shipping it back. If you are looking for a case for one of your small cameras, this is NOT the one for you. This camera case was the perfect solution for my Canon PowerShot SX260 HS. I've owned Case Logic storage accessories in the past and I've never been disappointed. I ultimately decided on this case because it comes with a carabiner hook which is easier for me to clip on and get going rather than threading the case through a belt. The alternate storage compartment has enough room to store an extra battery and some SD cards.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

In the main pocket, I have my HTC Thunderbolt Android Phone (with the bigger battery and a somewhat bulky protector -all in all it measures 5.0" x 2.8" x 0.8"). It fits very nicely in the main compartment. Not loose and not too tight.

In the outer pocket I have a space pen, 3 proximity cards, 10 US bills folded in thirds plus 9 other credit card sized items. I seldom carry a separate wallet.

My only real complaint is that I wish the zipper on the outer pocket was a touch wider. It is much smaller than the width of the pocket and can be a bit difficult to extract the card I want. However I was able to fix this by simply removing the stitching keeping the opening closed. The zipper actually goes edge to edge.

I also wish the zipper was a little bit higher quality as well. Many times I find it difficult to close.

So far, after 2 months of opening and closing and removing stuff many times every single day, it is holding up well.

Best Deals for Case Logic Medium Camera Case TBC-403

Was looking for a case for the DSC-RX100 and did a lot of research. The cases from Sony are bulky and cumbersome. This was a great fit with a small amount of extra room for memory cards etc. I was able to fit the camera, inside the case, inside my jeans pocket which was a big plus!!!! Good padding was essential for what is a fairly expensive point and shoot camera and this was ideal. Very happy with it.

Honest reviews on Case Logic Medium Camera Case TBC-403

This is a simple, inexpensive case. One large pocket for your camera and a smaller pocket for a spare battery and memory card. Zipper closures hold everything secure. I use this case for my Sony RX100 and Sony HX30V pocket cameras. The cameras won't fit in my pocket with the case on (no case will do that), but do offer some extra protection when the cameras are in my backpack.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Case Logic Medium Camera Case TBC-403

My Olympus XZ-1 was a great deal that I want to protect while having extra space for a couple extra batteries and SD cards. This case works perfectly for that. And it's cheap.

I'm using a wrist strap which is very small, but there's plenty of room for a shoulder strap (like the one that comes with the camera). I expect there's room for the automatic lens cover (the Auto Lens Cap that folds out and the Olympus LC-63A Lens Cap one) as well. The wrist strap works nicely hanging out of the case so I can still keep it on my wrist with the case on or off.

The zipper pulls are a little janky, but likely quite sturdy. Maybe I'm just spoiled after looking at nice rain jackets at REI yesterday. Not a real complaint, just a note. The little aluminum carabiner is a nice touch, but it's nothing I'd depend on to hold up to much tension. It's fine, I'd rather they left it out and lowered the price $.50, but maybe others like it.

Personally, I'd rather have a slightly smaller case, maybe a quarter inch smaller in all dimensions. But for those with a strap, it's perfect.

Wanted a case that I could get my camera out very fast for recording dance demonstrations by my instructor at my dance class. The case that came with my Nikon was too small to let me get the camera out in a hurry. Plenty of room in this case for a the camera.
