I bought several of these for Sony Mini Cameras and Panasonic ZS series cameras. They are very soft and decently made. The immediate issue is the case is very "tight" and stretches when the camera is inserted, even though one of mine is a Sony TX-55 (very thin). Any protrusion of the camera body makes permanent marks in the panels of the roocase. The zipper isn't the smoothest and even if moderately stretched, is difficult to zip closed.

The case was recommended in the description for the cameras I had, it is just too tight of a fit for those bodies.

In spite of the tight fit it has protected the cameras well, so if you don't mind fighting the zipper or have a very thin P&S camera, its a decent and attractive case.

Got one of these for my Lumix ZS8 and I couldn't have chosen better. It looks made to measure. It's well styled, with a real quality feel. I picked the orange color but was slightly worried it would be too bright. In reality, the vibrant orange works very well and makes me smile every time I pick it up! Would definitely recommend getting one if you're searching.

I got this for carry-around purposes, for protection-in-another-bag.

It holds my Nikon D90 and the kit 18-105 lens perfectly. I like the added protection for the front element. It's good for when I want to carry a backpack and put my camera in it with some protection from dings and dust.

It won't provide major protection, but it fits into my Crumpler 5 Million Dollar Home with the case just like it would without the case, when I want more protection.

One drawback is the velcro hooks on the fastening catch on the connector strap.

Also, you should use the plastic hot-shoe cover, since I put a hole in the cover when it caught on the hot-shoe rail.

I wish it has a built-in cap holder inside of the case. Great product overall!

This is pretty much exactly what I was looking for. It fits my canon 7D with a 15-85mm lens no problem. I just wanted something to protect the camera while it was in a backpack. It is a little tough getting it on and off due to the tight fit, so if you want fast access to the camera this may not be the case for you. It may stretch out and allow for faster access in the future, not sure though. Overall, very happy with the product.

This item is made well and does its job. It is hard to work with and hard to put on the camera but like i said, it does its job. Limits vision and ability to react quickly in shooting situations but does allow you to get what you need in bad weather.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Thule is well known for making high quality car attachments. They can be used to carry bikes, kayaks, skis and luggage. Recently they have expanded to also making bags for caring your electronics (computers, iPads, cameras, etc).

This is a very interesting bag, from the moment you pick it up, you can tell that this was made with quality and inattention to detail. It is even made to withstand most weather, although I would exercise caution with that.

On the other hand, there is one use for this bag to carry DSLR with a large lens. There are no pockets, no internal containers.... just one big open case. As such, this really limits its usefulness

For many people this is not going to be an ideal bag. Then again, if one has the need for a bag like this it isn't going to be the primary bag as you can't carry much else in it.

Ultimately, I would say that this is a novelty bag. It won't appeal to many and for those who need this type of bag, you should probably check out the competition before deciding on this one.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is a rather large camera case. Measures about 11" tall, 8" square on top, tapering down to 6.5" square on the bottom. Construction quality is excellent. The walls are semi-rigid foam. Plenty of padding. All the zippers are sealed. In addition there is a rain cover. I ran this in my shower, and not a drop of water got in. The back has about a 1/2" of soft, ventilated padding. In terms of storage, you have one main compartment wit 2 sets of movable foam pads for the lens. On the out side, you have a tiny pocket on top...good for a set of keys or an iphone, but not much else. There's two side slots as well for quick access items, but there's no zipper. Overall construction quality is just beautiful. Best of any camera bag that I've seen. All the seams are perfect. The material looks amazing. Great looking case.

In use, I'd have to agree that this is not for everybody. My Nikon D7000 with a 18-200 lens look tiny and cannot be secured because it's plain too small. In fact, I can fit a 50mm lens on the bottom and still have room for the camera and 18-200 lens on top. It's not only the depth, but the width is also too wide. My friend's Nikon D800 fits perfectly.

This is a fairly comfortable case. I use it mostly as a sling. The strap is plenty padded, and the waste strap kept movements in check. The extremely precise seems makes it hard to work the zippers, however. Even using the zipper straps, the zipper gets caught all the time. And the top compartment, for some stupid reason, does not open all the way. The zipper stops about one inch from the back. Makes it a bit difficult to get your camera out.

Overall, I like this bag. It's beautifully made and completely weatherproof. However, I wouldn't use this for anything short of a full size DSLR. Just plain too big otherwise. If you have a full size DSLR and have the 80-200 lens, this is a custom made case for you. Otherwise, don't buy.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I was initially excited about this bag because I carry a Canon 60D with a 70-200mm zoom lens and the bag I have now doesn't facilitate transporting the camera with the zoom lens attached.

Although the Thule Perspektiv bag will easily swallow the 60D with the zoom lens attached, a design flaw with the zipper makes it difficult to retrieve the camera from the bag. I've posted some photos to illustrate the problem that I will attempt to describe here.

The zipper on the top does not reach to edge of the top of the bag. This makes it difficult to open the bag and keep it open without using two hands. You have to fumble with the zipper and then use two hands to bend the top back out of the way to retrieve the camera. It's awkward, cumbersome, and frustrating.

I'm mainly a wildlife photographer so I need to be able to quickly retrieve the camera from the bag when I reach my location. This is where the bag disappoints, and for me the bag is unusable.

It is as the vendor describes it, a minimalist bag for people on the go that don't want to be weighed down. It's really probably built for the prosumer range of camera's with but my SLR fits in nicely with with a 300mm lens. I could probably fit maybe one more lens 80mm or less in at the bottom, maybe, but that its, the only things left that the bag would really have room for is some memory cards and maybe a spare battery. That is pretty much it. So I think of the bag as a grab and go bag. I just want to take my camera, no extras, and go hiking or the zoo, concert maybe, somewhere that will not be needing a lot of accessories. For that purpose it does well. Its tough and well padded and pretty easy to open and get to in a hurry.

This is a Domke branded case, made by Tiffen. Domke is an old and well respected brand in camera cases, and it was purchased by Tiffen some years ago to flesh out Tiffen's product line.

I have no idea whether this particular model predates the Tiffen acquisition, but as with other Domke/Tiffen collaborations I find it to be a very nice product. This thing is incredibly sturdy and well padded, with a semi-rigid structure that should shrug off most small impacts. It's got a hook-and-loop belt loop which is probably the weakest link structurally it's still fairly secure, but I can see how it could be ripped off of a belt if enough pressure were applied to it. It also includes a handy shoulder strap should you wish to carry it that way, although it's so small the belt loop seems like it's more practical.

The shape of the case is somewhat of an oddity. Unlike most lens cases, it opens to the *front* and not simply on the *top*. This means it's not cylindrical, and instead the opening flap is sloped upwards on the front of the case. The flap is secured with twin zippers on its sides (which are linked together by fabric), as well as with a generous patch of hook-and-loop on the very top of the case. This design enables easier access to the lens, however it also means that the case isn't secure at all when it's not closed up, so do be careful on entry and exit.

One thing that should be reiterated this thing is called "compact" for a reason, it's a very small case. It can hold my Olympus 50mm f/2 Four Thirds system macro lens along with my Micro 4/3 adapter, but only just. It should be fine for small primes, but even kit lens type DSLR zooms will probably have trouble squeezing into it.

Good protect from bumps and the double zipper pull-down allows quick access to gear. Price like all Domke is reasonable especially considering it's made in the USA. The only gripe I have is the back loop does not inspire total confidence.

I just received this compact lens case and was totally surprised by it! Originally I thought it would just be a compact carrying lens case for a small lens, but it is not that simple! It is a tough lens case with stiff exterior and well and sufficient paded interior. In the buttom, it also provides additional protection for lens. It comes with a strap to letting you to easily carry it all around, and it can also be mounted on your belt. The two zippers are both YKK brand, and they are connected with a handle which enables you to access the lens easily. I put my Nikon 35mm F1.8G lens inside, and it fits perfectly. The quality of this lens case is way above my expectation. I strongly recommend it!!!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program The Lowepro Compact ILC Courier 70 is a basic shoulder/belt bag designed for smaller interchangeable lens cameras (ILCs) such as the Olympus micro 4/3 "Pen" cameras (E-PL1, E-PL2, E-PL3, etc.) or the Sony NEX cameras. The primary benefits of this case are that it's small, lightweight and has a few extra accessory pockets (including a detachable lens pouch) for these smaller cameras.

It turns out I'm an ideal person to review this bag because I own both an Olympus E-PL1 and a Sony NEX-3 with multiple lenses for both cameras. The case works fine with my E-PL1 with 14-42mm kit lens stored in the main camera compartment and the Olympus 17mm f/2.8 "pancake" lens stored in the detachable lens pouch.

Unfortunately, the fit for the NEX was less than ideal. The paper tag on the Lowepro Courier 70 specifically says, "Fits Sony NEX camera with 18-55mm lens attached; pancake/16mm lens in the lens pouch." However, it's VERY difficult to get the Sony 16mm pancake lens (with front and rear protective caps) into and out of the lens pouch. The lens pouch is slightly too small for the 16mm lens so you either have to "force" the lens into the pouch and then struggle to pull it out when you need it, or you have to leave either the front or rear protective cap off of the lens so that it will easily slide into and out of the pouch.

Whoever was responsible for designing the lens pouch to work with the 16mm lens at Lowepro FAILED at his or her job.

Another minor thing related to the lens pouch that I dislike about this case is that although it was designed to work as a belt pack there is NO WAY to connect the lens pouch to the main bag if you remove the shoulder strap. Obviously, if you're going to use the camera on your belt then you don't want the shoulder strap attached ... but then you can't use the lens pouch.

My only other complaint is that the zipper pulls are too thin/small. Lowepro used thin rope/string as the zipper pulls on this bag and it's hard to grab them quickly. It would have been much better if they used standard metal zipper pulls or larger paracord zipper pulls.

Overall, if you want a very basic and very compact bag for your Olympus Pen camera or Sony NEX camera then this will do the job, but there are many better camera bags out there if you're willing to use a slightly larger bag.

I have been looking for a good case for my Sony NEX-6 and have found that the ones recommended are either too large or too small. What I look for in a case is a good fit, protection, a belt loop so it doesn't swing around and is always where I expect it to be, right at my waist.

I bought the NEX-6 because it has an excellent viewfinder, reasonably good image quality due to the relatively large sensor which also gives it amazing low light capabilities all in a very compact and convenient package. I therefore wanted a case that didn't add to the bulk of the camera which would defeat some of it's advantages. The Courier 70 is just large enough so that the NEX-6 fits both sideways (vertically) or face down. The case has both a zippered opening which I don't routinely use and a flap closure which goes over the zippered portion and attaches to the front of the case using a velcro closure. I like to be able to get my camera in and out of the bag quickly so I don't miss a shot and that is why I usually use the top flap and not the zippered portion below it. The case also has room for an extra battery and a compartment for the lens cap. It isn't the most heavily padded case but you will find that it is sturdy and padded sufficiently to protect your camera.

Now, for those of you who own the Sony NEX-6 and also bought the optional long zoom lens, the Sony E 55-210mm F4.5-6.3 Lens for Sony NEX Cameras, the Courier 70 will accommodate the NEX-6 with the 55-210 lens on the camera however, you can not zip it shut but you can close it using the flap which goes over the zipped portion of the case and yes, it can still reach the velcro closure making it secure. You can of course zip it shut with the standard pancake 16-50mm lens without any difficulty.

For those of you who do own the longer 55-210 optional lens and were wondering what case you could use to carry it with you, Lowepro does make a smaller pouch case that it will fit in perfectly, (as will the NEX-6 vertically) the Lowepro Rezo 60 Camera Case (Black) which also has a belt loop and will fit nicely beside the Courier 70. The lens fits perfectly in the Rezo 60 with the lens shade reversed over the lens and the case has enough padding to protect the lens. Buy them both and you'll be covered. For those times that you only wish to use the pancake lens, the NEX-6 does fit in the Rezo 60 which makes for a very compact package.

As a side note, I got this bag hoping to use it with a small Canon DSLR but the bag is far too small to serve that purpose. Make sure to check your camera size against the dimensions of this bag (interior size: 5.1 x 2.8 x 5.3 in. or 13 x 7 x 11.5 cm) before purchasing.

I'll start with the bad part, perhaps saving you from having to read more than is necessary and also from buying a case you can't use...

Despite all the great features described below, I've found after several trips "in the field" that it is useless. The problem is the opening. It is too narrow to get a grip on my Fujifilm X-A1 (very nice camera, btw) and to remove it without a struggle against it catching on one side or the other. This would still be a nice and secure way to transport a small camera. However, if your goal is as mine was, to have a case that provided quick and convenient access, then you should look elsewhere.

Now, for the rest...

The fit is good, tending toward snug. That's OK for me. A nice thing is I can make the case roomier by taking out the padded insert. That leaves me with a much roomier nylon bag if I want to have that as an option. It also means I can use the padded insert by itself if I want to carry my camera in a briefcase, backpack, messenger bag, etc without having to take the whole camera case.

This bag has four compartments:

The big space where I put my camera.

The SD card holder.

A large pouch that makes up the entire back of the bag. It's where the microfiber cloth is stored and is large enough to hold a spare battery, a lens pen, and a fair amount of additional stuff.

The add-on pouch that's designed for a small lens and can also be used for filters.

The shoulder strap is a basic nylon web strap whose best feature is that it's removable. What I found works perfectly with this case is a NITE IZE S Biner Ahhh clip. It's just the right size to fit on the case's wide belt loop. The other end goes to my pants belt loop of attaches to my backpack or messenger bag. (And, in a pinch I can use it to open a bottle of... beverage.)

When I use the case without the shoulder strap (which is always) the two end flaps (where the strap attached) tuck under the flap making for a compact package.

BTW, I feel that honest, effective reviews take the place of first-hand experiences that are lacking in online shopping. I've always appreciated the help I've gotten from other reviewers and continue to return the favor as best as I can.

This bag works extremely well for carrying around Micro 4/3rd systems. In particular, my Olympus EPL2 with kit zoom fit in the main pocket very well, and my 17mm prime lens fit into the lens pouch. Note that you can't do it the other way around (the zoom doesn't fit into the lens pouch).

I really like the minimalist, extremely lightweight nature of the bag, which fits very well with the general idea of M4/3rds cameras. My criticism mainly involves the lens pouch, as it's not large enough to fit most kit zooms and seems like an afterthought more than anything, with zero padding and a flimsy velcro attachment.

My other criticism of this bag is that unlike other Lowepros, the zipper design for the main pouch makes it extremely difficult to take your camera out with any amount of speed and finesse (which eliminates the possibility of quick point and shoot situations and also the ability to shoot the camera without fiddling with a strap and leaving it in the bag most of the time).

The Sports Pack case exceeded my expectations, which were originally fair already! Because the case was designed especially for the DSC-T7, it fits perfectly: Once the case is on, the compact camera becomes far more accessible. It is easier to hold and handle, and the case does not make it any harder to use any of the buttons. The case has a very sleek design and many people have already complimented it. Some people have even likened it to looking like a PSP! I am very satisfied with this purchase because with it, I can enjoy all functions of the camera without constantly worrying about dropping or scratching it. This case works great. I have taken pictures underwater and they come out great, and you don't have to worry about anything happening to the camera. Make sure you use the anti fog liquid on the inside portion of the case that covers the lense. I had it fog up on my while riding horses on the beach and missed some great pics. I didn't want to take it out of the case to clean off the fog for fear of getting sand in the camera. You can turn the camera on and off using the power button on the side. Every button works while in this case. I use it on all vacations.

I have found that the DSC-T7 to be almost too small to handle, but with this water resistant case, it actually was just the right size to easily handle in an active environment. The case provides access to all the cameras functions. I gave my camera and this case the ultimate testwould it survive Burning Man? It managed perfectly and I got great pictures and movies with a camera that was small enough to hang around my neck without feeling to bulky. The only complaint is that the water resistant seal is very limited. I dropped the camera into the water and the shock of hitting the surface caused it to leak slightly.

This product fits my Nikon D3100 with an attached Nikkor 18-200mm f3.5 lens, with a UV filter, and a lens cap. There is about 1" of space left at the tip.

I have been looking for a "protective sleeve" that I can put my camera in, and then drop it into a backpack and not worry about scratching or dinging my camera. At first, I didn't think it was going to fit my camera. You need to break this in like a new baseball mitt. Stretch it from all angels, put it on the camera, take it off, stretch a bit more...rinse and repeat.

The tips that you use to wrap around the lens and fasten underneath have Velcro on them. Give them a couple extra stretches. The first time only the tips fastened, but now I can use the entire Velcro closure. I wouldn't worry about over stretching this item. The seams are double-stitched and held up well to my stretching "exercises." You really don't need it to hold your camera like a python, just provide the camera some protection during transport when you leave the well-padded camera bag at home.

In the pic there is a strap on the side. It is actually attached on the bottom. It is 1/2" nylon webbing double-stitched with two metal clips. This can come in handy clipping it (like a key clip in a suitcase) to the inside of a back pack or handbag for added security and to keep the camera from working its underneath everything else in the bag. Could also help you from losing the case too!

Final words...I'm happy with this purchase.

This is a nice, handy cover. However, I have a wrist strap and Spider Pro attachment on my camera, so it won't fit. Not unreasonable, I suppose, but makes it of limited value to me.

Needed some protection for my Pentax K20D and this product looked versatile enough to give a try. Read reviews and one of the statements made was that you had to "break it in" by stretching repeatedly get it to relax a bit to accomodate tighter fitting cameras. True. I have been able to fit my K20D with a battery grip and 70-300 telephoto into the case. Tight fit, but I expect it relax a bit more over time.

Wow, i don't have enough words of praise for this kit. Extremely comfortable to wear (have been using for 2 weeks), Tripod is sturdy, plz do not pay attention to those reviews which say Tripod can't hold the wait of a DSLR, I have been using Nikon D5000 with a telezoom lens 70-300. The sling-bag also has a hookup to hold your tripod which wasn't mentioned in the product description.

Overall this Targus kit, does whatever it states and more, very durable (time will tell more on this), but a spacious bag, which carries my 3-4 lenses, Canon HD video cam and Nikon D5000 + my tripod

Would highly recommend this kit to someone who needs both a great bag pack and a tripod, look no further, Costco is also selling the same kit, like 10 bucks more expensive, but only if you want freedom to return the merchandise. Which I highly doubt, Targus has a reputation of making quality laptop bags, and this is no different.

The back pack is nice but the tripod is really cheap. I got a faulty tripod my camera is to heavy for the tripod. I'll have to get a new one.

This case is extremely strong. I am using this as an ammo can/foot locker. I removed the foam and it is filled to the top with ammo, so its extremely heavy. The handles are great and I can't imagine breaking them or anything else on this case. I will most likely buy another.

Bought this as a birthday present for my daughter ! I was totally willing to pay more for a camera case as long as I knew or at least had enough good reasons to expect the case to fit her camera { Nikon Cool Pix L310 } ? Most other Cases I saw ON line or in the Local stores were generic one size fits all types either too too big or too too small ! ? So When I saw that this model bag was designated for NIKON cameras and her model was in that series I Ordered it even though she got it after her birthday it's exactly what she wanted ! and though the bag only cost me a few dollars ! it made her happy !!! I purchased this to hold my new purple colored Canon Elph 310 HS. It compliments the camera nicely even though it isn't the exact same shade, but the color is very girly and pretty. I am concerned that it might get dirty being a pastel color, but I knew that going into it, so I will deal with that when it comes time to clean it. I wish the case had a hard side to protect the screen, but that's not what the product is, its a slim sleeve. So I am not taking any stars off, because I knew buying it that it would be light coverage. Very cute case.

my wife has a nikon D80. i thought this bag would be a perfect bag for going hiking so that she wouldnt have to carry a backpack to take off every time she wanted to take a picture. with this she can keep the camera on her hip and pull it out when desired.

The only things we dont like about the bag are that it is a little small for a DSLR with an extra lens. it works...but its tight. i also bought her the extended grip battery pack which makes things tigher...but once again...we have made it work. other than the tight fit...the velcro on the adjustable partitions inside is a little weak.

all in all, the quality is very good. if my wife is hiking, she may just learn to start carrying one lens. for the 30 bucks i spent...i dont think we could have done any better.

I had high expectations for this bag but ended up returning it immediately. The zippers would stick and the velco dividers on the interior did not hold very well. My 23 year old Lowepro bag is better made. However, the hip belt is well designed and hugs your body very well. In concept the bag is good but the assembly and sub-standard materials fail to make this product useful. I would stick with M-Rock, Lowepro or Tamrac, those bags are designed and used by the professionals. I believe Tamrac is still made in the USA. It would be a shame to miss a shot because your camera bag zipper got stuck. I can't recommend this product.

This is a very well made pack but, there is no way a DSLR with a small zoom or prime could fit in this pack. That includes APC and full frame sensors. Pros, forget about this one.

It might hold one of the smaller DSLRs made by Sony Alpha (A33, A55), Panasonic Lumix, Samsung, and maybe Olympus. It could easily hold the smaller rangefinder cameras made by Leica, Panasonic, Sony Alpha NEX, Pentax, and Olympus. Point and shoot, would be OK.

Regardless, in the images of the pack, it shows the shoulder strap clasp (the clip sewn to the bag that the strap attaches to) as being on the side of the bag just below the main compartment zipper. But the current model you will get has the clasp sewn INSIDE the webbed exterior pockets. This makes the outside pockets less usable and unusable for small water bottles or really anything you might want to put in it. Like a small PET water bottle or one or two 16 oz Nalgen HDPE Round Loop-Top Bottles the smaller version of the larger size Nalgene water bottles.

Also, the top lid has a metal zipper component that goes down on the back side of the camera or a lens you might have in the bag. Placing a metal zipper right over the camera LCD screen or even just on the camera or worse, a lens, is really bad design!

This is a nicely made bag for a good price but, I think Mountainsmith actually has NO pro photographers or even enthusiast photographers actually test out or review bag designs. This is bag that could be great if it was just bigger enough to actually hold something like a Sony A700 (and its replacement), Nikon D300S/D5000, and similar models from other makers. It does not need to hold a Nikon D3X (full frame top of the line pro DSLR with a grip). But if it could at least hold gripless APC size gear, it would be a big improvement.

Also, get the strap clasp out of the side pockets and watch where the metal zippers are going! Nobody wants a $2000 (or $300) camera or $3000 (or $300) lens damaged by the pack that is supposed to protect it.

This pack works perfect with my HV30 camcorder. I use it without the dividers and the camcorder fits just right. I use the other pockets for spare tapes and batteries. Very compact and well made.

I chose this camera bag based on its measurements and shape, planning to use it with the shoulder strap rather than the hip belt. However, I discovered that folding the hip belt into the space provided made it too cumbersome, and I had to just cut it off. Other than that I like it very much. The zippered compartments work well for extra memory cards, batteries, lens cloth, etc. It is well padded, and the movable dividers allowed me to create a space to fit my Canon PowerShot SX20IS exactly. I also like the fact that it has a handle to use in place of the removable shoulder strap, if I wish to do so. I had to go to the Mountainsmith site to find the internal measurements to insure this bag would fulfill my needs. (Earlier, I had ordered another smaller model and incorrectly estimated the internal measurement based on the external measurements.)
