I've had this bag for about a year and a half, and it's remarkable. As others have said, the movable/removable velcro dividers provide enormous flexibility, and there are plenty of pockets and strong zippers. The walls and the velcro dividers are well-padded and they secure the contents well to prevent most movement and vibration. There's a little pocket in the bottom front that contains a nylon shroud that can be pulled out to help secure the bag from dust and moisture.

It's a good size: large enough to hold the essentials but not so big that I load it with my entire household (and then have to lug all that extra weight). In the main compartment, mine holds a Canon 20D body, a 17-85mm zoom, a 50mm prime lens, a 70-200 f2.8 zoom (BIG), Speedlite 580 flash, plus polarizing filter, battery charger, spare AAA batteries, and a USB cable. There are other compartments that hold another battery charger and extra rechargeable battery for the camera (the speedlite and the camera use different rechargeable batteries), extra flash memory card, various booklets, maps, and guides, airline tickets, and various other odds and ends.

There are loops on the back of the bag so that it could be attached to a backpack, though they don't look like they'd support much weight for very long.

When I'm travelling, I can sling this bag across one shoulder, a notebook PC case across the other, and still carry a modest suitcase. With all my stuff in it it's barely 12x8x10 inches. Strong, comfortable shoulder strap, comfortable handle, rubber footpads that keep the bag pretty much off the surface, and expansion pockets all over the place.

Seconding what another person said about the color: the green is more subdued and attractive than the photo suggests.

Everything about it just exudes quality. I'd buy it again in an instant.

I've had this bag for almost two years and it's been excellent. The only problem I've had with it is that it doesn't magically expand and get lighter as my camera equipment increases. It's definitely not a small bag, but it also isn't so huge that you're embarrassed to carry it on your shoulder in public.

I have crammed probably too much into this thing: A Nikon D200, Tokina 12-24 DX lens, Nikon 18-70mm DX lens, Nikon 50mm 1.8D lens, Nikon 75-300mm zoom, SB-600 flash, memory, camera and AA batteries, cleaner, filters, remote, flashlights, and various small flat things that fit in the flap. Even with all of this, I've done photo shoots with this bag strapped across an opposite shoulder comfortably for hours at a time.

Positives:

1. The main compartment has plenty of room for a good-sized collection of photo equipment, and the front zippered pouch has a lot of room for batteries, tools, cleaner, etc. There are also lots of places all over the bag for extra things, like a zippered back pocket for gloves or docs, belt loops for an add-on belt, elastic side mesh panels on both sides, zippered front pouch that's great for a remote or filters while you're shooting, a thick zippered see-through panel inside the top-flap of the bag. Lots of room!

2. Excellent quality build material that resists scratches and abrasions, and zippers that are pretty satisfyingly heavy-duty where they need to be.

3. Very configurable main compartment with lots of movable velcro'd partitions.

4. Shoulder strap is light and has a good heavy-duty feel, is comfortably padded, and is curved to fit your shoulder, and it stays put. It also has metal clamps that connect to the metal rings on the bag. I've never had this strap come off the bag, ever.

5. Has a cool hidden water-proof cover that you can pull out and cover your bag within a few seconds if the weather turns wet.

6. Large rubber feet on the bottom so your bag material doesn't wear out, and a large rubber-covered handle for a good grip on the bag.

I should note that the green and blue bag colors look much better in person. The colors are much more subdued and normal in regular non-flash light.

I don't really have anything negative to say about this bag. It's awesome. If you're looking for a good camera bag with plenty of room, this is a great choice!

First, the bag arrived in super fast time. I expected to wait at least a week but it got here within days!

The bag easily holds my Nikon D-50 and 4 lenses with an open slot for one more. Many zippered flaps and pouches for those flash cards, extra battery and filters. The bag is very secure in that it has a flap that covers the top (and helps with keeping out moisture) plus two zippers that secure it as well.

The internal dividers are secured with velcro and can be moved to accomodate larger items, even a second digital camera body (would eliminate the space for one of the lenses).

I am well pleased with the bag and it is very well padded and has a shoulder strap that is contoured so it will be less likely to slip from one's shoulder if carrying it by that method. There is also a solidly built handle that provides an alternate method of carrying.

All in all it is a good deal especially at less that $44.00 with free shipping when I purchased it.

Great construction, well designed. Provides quick, easy access to lenses, flash, and accessories.

I didn't take the time to actually pull a measuring tape to figure the actual size, and was expecting something a tad larger. However it still manages to keep the following intact:

1 Canon Digital Rebel Xti with 28-135mm IS lens (mounted)

1 Canon 17-55mm kit lens

1 Canon 50mm f 1.8 Lens

1 Canon 75-300mm lens

1 Canon 70-200 f4L Lens

1 Canon 580 EX Flash

1 Sto-Fen Diffuser

and that's just in the main compartment.

In the pockets, I've got spare batter, CF cards, at least 2 dozen AA batteries, remote, assorted stationery....the list goes on and on.

And there's still a little more space.

I stumbled upon the weatherproof cover by mistake while marvelling at how many pockets it had. (The product description does not properly describe this part) It's located at the front bottom of the bag inside a zipper, and is a weatherproof cover with an elastic rim that can be slipped over the bag for protection.

I'd recommend this bag to anyone!

I was taking a 10 day trip to france and needed a convenient way to take my Camera (Canon D60 with 18-200 EFS lens), an extra lens (8-16mm Sigma) plus stuff needed for day trips. Also wanted to minimize number of bags for flight and needed a way to take my laptop. The pack was perfect. For the flight all of the above along with my Toshiba 13" laptop, ipod, cellphone, earphones, charger, etc, plus a sweatshirt fit and the bag was my under the seat carry-on: perfect. I will add at this point that it is extremely comfortable to wear even when weighed down, but for the airport the outer sleeve that fits over the handle of a wheeled peice of carry on luggage makes it a dream to travel with. Once in France, my usual contents would be the camera in the side compartment, extra lens in the pack plus a sweatshirt and stuff I needed for the day. It was incredibly comfortable to wear and walk with and I did plenty of walking around Normandy and Paris, and the side pocket is really quick and easy access for the camera. Just drop it off your right shoulder, the bag swings to your side, the zipper opens quickly, and the camera is right there to take out. Great travel companion. My only caution is that this is not for a photo safari if you're super serious and want to take multiple lenses plus flashes, and lots of other gear it's for a day pack with one serious camera/lens combo and maybe one extra lens plus the other stuff you'll need for the day. It's the perfect size for its intended purpose.

I needed a light, compact backpack that would hold my dslr and 3 lenses, plus my netbook or laptop. I also wanted quick access to my camera without having to take the backpack off. My main uses for this bag are as a carry-on/under-seat pack during travel, and for day trips/light hiking.

After looking at just about every backpack that exists (or at least what's available online), I narrowed it down to this and the Lowepro Fastpack 250. I ordered both and ended up keeping the Compuday Photo 250. The Fastpack 250 was great, but quite a bit bulkier than this one. It also looks more like a camera bag, where as this one does not. If you were to remove the small Lowepro logo patch it would be even stealthier.

This pack is well made, well designed and carried just the right amount for my needs (camera, lenses, netbook, plus a bit of room for other misc items. If I bring my netbook, I can also fit my kindle, stacked above the netbook in the laptop compartment. I can even fit my Slik Pro V mini tripod in it, along with everything else (this tripod is only 14" folded). There are plenty of pockets and compartments to organize my stuff, and it's well-padded to protect the contents. The side camera compartment is great it allows quick camera access (almost as convenient as with a shoulder bag), but has the increased carrying comfort of a backpack (however to change lenses, you'd need to take the bag off, not so with a shoulder bag). I can carry this thing for hours without any discomfort, but with a shoulder bag, I'd have a sore neck after an hour or so. The shoulder straps are comfortable and easily adjustable, however there is no chest/waist strap (not really needed, considering the relatively light load one would be carrying in this pack). The only things I would suggest are adding a couple of loops on the sides and top to attach bungies and clip-on accessories, and using a waterproof (non woven) material for the bottom.

The price is also quite reasonable for what you get. Highly recommended.

This bag is amazing!

I researched all different kinds of bags that could carry my DSLR + Lenses + Misc. Items + 15" Macbook Pro, and this is the one.

All the other bags offer great attributes, but this one definitely takes the cake; it has a great easy access camera slot for my Canon 550D + Battery Grip + Vivitar 28mm 2.8, and definitely has room for a lot more.

This also holds my 15" Macbook Pro, with all of my cords and accessories (headphones, external hdd). The ONLY qualm I've had thus far is that I can't fit my laptop and my sleeve very comfortably into the laptop compartment-but it helps that the bag is extremely padded.

The build quality of the bag is also extremely nice, with a solid feel and overall great look. The bag is extremely inconspicuous, so there really is no need to worry about people KNOWING you have a camera and a laptop on you.

What's also nice about this bag is that if you don't need to carry your camera, you can essentially get rid of the camera slot, allowing for books and clothing to take its place. Even with the camera slot, there's tons of room for other items.

The front pockets are seriously spacious, and I can hold all of my cords, miscellaneous documents, extra lenses, clothing, and books inside of it. The slots for a cellphone and pens holds my clunky Android G1, along with a bunch of pens and thumb drives.

The water bottle mesh knit on the side is super convenient, holding my Klean Kanteen and even my cell phone.

I would have to say the bag is still really comfortable with my camera, laptop, and life-equipment in it.

Honestly, this bag is completely under priced, for what it offers. If you're looking for a not clunky and ugly bag that has tons of room for everyday things, this is your bag.

I was looking for a pack that would hold more than just my camera but not much more... I was frustrated because most packs that I found were all about the camera plenty of room for lenses and accessories but not those other travel essentials. Or, if the pack could carry those essentials it was way too large.

This one is right in the sweet spot a super convenient dedicated side-access pouch for your SLR+lens; and then a roomy interior for those things you also want to carry in a pack like a wind breaker or rain jacket, some snacks, etc. The slim pouch inside will hold an iPad no problem; probably not a full sized laptop. There is a water bottle pocket on the side, and a couple of extra places for cell phones and other small/slim stuff.

I usually pack this with a DSLR+ attached lens in the side pocket, then an extra lens in the main compartment, then some clothing and snacks to accommodate the kids that usually travel with me. I wear it as a backpack, sometimes single strapped, and sometimes I use the convenient handle and one-hand it.

I am really pleased to have found a well-made pack that is just the right size for the few things I want to carry in addition to my camera.

This is a nice bag when you wish to carry your DSLR around together a laptop/tabled and some other non-photographic items. But despite what Lowepro says, it won't hold a laptop larger than 15". For example, nor my Dell Latitude E6520 (15.6") nor an older Precision M4400 (15.4") will fit the notebook compartment, which makes it not useful when I need to travel with a larger notebook.

The pocket inside the front compartment are a bit small too, and probably will be a tight fit for most actual smartphones. Had Lowepro designed it a inch larger and an inch taller it would have been almost perfect.

Yet the side aperture is very handy to get the camera and shoot keeping the backpack on a shoulder, and there is enough room for what you may need to carry with you an a short trip, especially when flying and having to carry just one cabin luggage both camera and notebook are protected enough and easily accessible.

This is a very well made bag, with a lot of attention to the details. It is still a tight fit to get both my SLR camera with lens attached, and another lens in the bag. This is with the use of the padded dividers. Without them it would be roomier, but the camera and spare lens would not be protected. The padded dividers have velcro, so you can customize the interior, which is a nice feature. There are 3 padded velcro dividers, however I could not figure out how to use one of them! So, I just left that one out. However, I found that trying to get them precisely where I wanted was a hassle. The velcro would stick too well and always where I didn't want it. At least once you have everything where you want, it is not something you have to deal with again.

The zippers are sealed against water, but this also makes them a bit stiffer to use. This may change with use, but it is still a good feature to have. The bag as a whole is very well padded and water resistant.

There are a nice variety of different size pockets to store memory cards, batteries, etc. There is a lens cloth attached inside one of the pockets. The straps are very sturdy and well padded. They can be used in a variety of ways: hang the bag in front, on the back or over the shoulder.

This bag is also designed to add on other small packs for additional lens. You can also get an attachment which turns it into a waist pack. If you are looking for a solid bag to protect your camera, this is a good product.

Initially, I felt this was an excellent quality bag. Overall, this is still true. The one faulty item was the pull tie on the zippers. I have had 2 of these come apart. I have adapted, but this was a bit disappointing considering the price of the bag.

I searched for the perfect bag for my Canon T1I and it fits perfect. There is room for camera with the lens on and an extra lens as all. The front compartment carries extra batteries, SD cards and a few other small accessories. My tripod also straps on to the bottom very nicely as well. If you are looking for a compact bag that carries just the necessities and cuddles the camera just perfectly, this is the bag. Very happy with the purchase.

I am very pleased with this case for carrying my NEX-6 with the 16-50mm lens (Sony NEX-6L/B 16.1 MP Compact Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera with 16-50mm Power Zoom Lens and 3-Inch LED (Black)). The small size of this case is perfect for carrying my camera around when I don't plan to use the larger 55-210mm lens.

Edit 6/26/13: For those looking for a case for other cameras, I can tell you that my Canon Vixia HG 20 camcorder fits nicely, though with a very large battery it only just zips closed. There is no place to store larger accessories, such as an external microphone. My Panasonic FZ35 will not fit at all with the lens hood attached, and if I take that off, it is an extremely tight fit too tight for my comfort. Both of these are out of production, but comparison with either of these may give you a better idea whether this case would fit your particular camera.

The description for this case was "off" but I took the chance and ordered it based on the title (size reads 1x1x1 inch! which is obviously inaccurate!). Amazon is going to charge me at least half the price of what I paid for this bag to return it for refund, so I will keep it and maybe put our tiny video camera in it. Just want others to know that it will NOT work for a "superzoom" camera at least not mine (Canon SX50). This case is only for extremely compact cameras, and for that it would be a good buy. p.s. would LOVE it if anyone could recommend something that does work for the SX50. Thanks!

I bought this to fit the Canon SX50 HS camera, it arrived the day before we left on vacation.(me not thinking ahead!)

It is so close, but just does not fit the camera.

Such a shame as it would have been perfect. It was nice enough to keep I now have my GPS and all the accessories in it. so not a total loss.

Ended up going to best buy and picking up a Manfrotto one for 4 times the cost. ($30) due to departing the next morning.

This case is freakin awesome!! I bought this to store my watch collection. I know it sounds a little excessive to buy a $90, rugged, water proof, hard core case for watches, but my watch collection exceeds $4,000 so I figured what better than to store them in a top-of-the-line protective case. The pick and pull foam works great. Even if I decide at a later date to not store my watches in this case, I can always use it to store probably two handguns comfortably.

The color is so super cool looking. I had a hard time picking which color to buy. I must admit that I am a sucker for the military, olive drab/OD green color so when I found out that Pelican offered this case in this color it was a no-brainer.

The latches on the front are very difficult to open and close. It takes a decent amount of strength just to open it. However, it doesn't bother me at all. If it's going to protect my expensive watch collection, then I want something that is going to be reliable, strong and dependable.

I have been using various sized Pelican cases for well over 10+ years and simply put they are built like tanks. I have traveled extensively with many of my cases and as anyone who flies a lot knows, there is no abuse like airline abuse. The outside of the cases get scuffed up but the cases remain in perfect working order. There are not many cases that can survive years of abuse at the hands of the airlines. My only complaint with pelican cases is in regards to the latches. The design requires a lot of effort to open the latches up and I have banged my knuckles many times opening them up. The good news is that this issue has been addressed with the new pelican cases as they have redesigned the latches making them far easier to open up. So this is no longer even an issue.

You can purchase Pelican cases either with or without the foam insert. I prefer the cases with the foam as the foam is very easy to cut out thus making it extremely easy to design the interior any way you like. Basically you can use these case to store any of your sensitive equipment. To keep humidity out of the cases simply buy a small silica gel container. I recommend using the Peli Desiccant Silica Gel containers and you can find them right here on Amazon.

Bottom line Pelican cases are hands down some of the best cases being made today. The only other case I have personally used that can match the quality of a pelican case is a Hardig Storm case and those are more expensive so for the money, Pelican cases are definitely the brand to turn to. They are tough as nails and will protect your gear as well as any other case on the market.

What the subject says. This is billed as a case for the powershot D20 and IT IS TOO SMALL. I took the hand hold/string off the camera, and even with the mount for it removed the camera still does not fit inside the case. If I sat on it with a shoehorn, maybe it could be wedged in dangerously tight.

That said, this IS a nice solid case. I have other cameras and this case is adequate for some of those, so this was not a complete waste.

This case fits perfectly and securely on the camera and the leather is thick enough to give good protection yet does not add much weight. I have used unattached cases in the past and found them a bit of a nuisance when using the camera. This case, however, becomes part of the camera and makes use of the camera quite convenient. The strap is long enough to hang around the neck or over your shoulder and the camera is ready for use at all times. Changing the battery requires unscrewing the case from the camera, but a coin works just fine for that purpose. As mentioned by others, a small pocket for a spare battery would have been nice. However, this is a very nice leather case that offers both protection and convenience.

The one I got does not properly fit the Canon SX260. See the photos I posted. You can shove it hard to the right and manage to fasten the screw, but that causes the case to bend, and then you have a mis-shapen case. In the past I owned a case like this for the Canon G1, so I know how this kind of case is supposed to fit. Apart from the fit, the case is very well made indeed. The case is very nice, but it just does not fit the SX260. If this does fits your SX260, then there must be some variation in the construction of these cases. I would give this case a five star rating if it fit my camera.

The screw to tighten the camera is not exactly placed. I have to move camera very tight to one corner to get it fit.

Inconvenience during taking picture you unbutton the same, and the flap hangs down very hard way, become discomfort to hold.

Wish the flab has a little softer leather. Being so hard leather its hangs out in odd way for you to hold camera and take picture.

I wasn't sure I really needed this item, but am very happy with it. It does slow you down changing batteries, and it does make it a little more difficult to reach the bottom button on the rear control panel, but it really feels good in your hand, and makes the camera seem less likely to get damaged.

Of course the rear controls are easy to activate accidentally, so the case actually reduces that somewhat.

I also like the fact that the strap goes out from the rear, so the camera hangs with lens down, rather than facing out (of course with a zoom lens, that is how the camera will hang, but the body strap connections have the strap coming off the top).

It is a little expensive for such a small item, but I like the feel and the increased protection.

I bought this for my silver Sony NEX-5N camera. The camera is well cushioned and the swivel LCD screen is not impaired in any way. The camera looks a bit bulky and the fit on the sides not as snug as I wanted it to be. Of course you have to remove it any time you want to download the pics and I am a bit concerned about the wear of the screw. Even though the product is sold as "Custom Leather Body Case", it is actually made of good old vinyl acetate.

Fits nicely, looks expensive. Simple screw into the bottom of the nex 5n, and increases your grip on your camera. like one reviewer said though, it doesn't have cut outs for the camera strap buckles, rather the case has strap buckles of their own. Not a huge deal, but would have definately looked nicer with the cutout.

I would recommend this product.

I'll start off with my immediate impression This bag is NOT brown more a dark green color with dark brown front pocket. The picture makes it look like the front pocket is tan and the bag is a chocolate brown. However I love this bag! it's big enough for my Pentax K-x 2 lenses and some filters, lens hood, flash and mini tripod with room to spare. All this space and it still is not bulky or purse-ish. I would recommend this for any photographer with a few accessories to pack around. As always Tamrac has excellent quality bags and this is no exception. The strap is wide and padded has a faux leather pad for the shoulder side and there are little pockets everywhere for storage. Also, all the inside compartments are move able you can configure it to fit your specefic gear. Although my pentax is a small body DSLR there is plenty of room for larger body cameras like Nikon or Canon.

hard to fit my nikon d3100 with regular lens, in addition to one other medium sized lens, in addition to my sony point & shoot. The pockets in the photo look bigger than they are. Not a bad case, just couldn't fit what I needed it to and the pocket photos are deceptive.

Update 07/30/2013: STILL have this bag and it's doing great. No rips, tears or damage. It's proved to be a very reliable, sturdy bag that's built to last. It now holds my external flash, Canon T3i, Tamron 70-300mm lens, Canon 50mm lens, kit lens (attached to camera), shutter release, lens pen, lens caps, sd cards, batteries, etc. It's great!

Got my first DSLR awhile back and soon realized I'd need a bigger bag to hold my batteries, lenses, cords, etc. This bag is perfect. It's got so many compartments and holds my medium-sized Canon Rebel XS easily along with two lenses, two batteries, cables and charger. I've still got room for more, too.

My only gripe is the flap over the zipper. It makes opening and closing the top flap difficult at times. Also, some of the partitions inside could have been a bit studier. The weight of your camera will rest of these partitions, but it doesn't support it well.

Overall, a great bag that doesn't necessarily look like a camera bag. Could use this all day instead of my purse, too. Better styling than most of the camera bags out there.

I have own Tamrac camera cases ever since I began taking picture over 35 years ago through out the US and international travel and find them very well constructed and will last for ever. The vercitility of customizing the insode configuations is a great feature. My last bag (light gray) which was over 29 years old was still in near perfect shape and condition with only a little dis-coloration showning in the inside cover flap of the bag. Great bag for the amateur or professional!

This is simply the best holder for small Canon cameras like my Power Shot A2300 or any of the power shot cameras. I used to haul around a SLR but those days are gone as I just want a quality photo out of something small.
