I really like the case, it protects my camera. It fits easily in my purse. It really does not fit anything but the camera but that also makes it easier to travel with

Whilst you can't knock the quality or aesthetic design of the case, you have to knock the vendor for a misleading description. As mentioned with other folks, this WILL NOT FIT the LX-5 (and presume the LX-3 either). It's designed for cameras whose lenses do not protrude significantly when powered down. Therefore this product gets a good review for those cameras, but a FAIL for those of you thinking about your Lumix. Or is that Lumii? :)

I ordered it and found out it cannot fit to my Lumix LX5. And the worst of it is that you have to pay the handling fee for the return. I will remember this vendor.

This case does give protection and does fit my Panasonic DMC-ZS8. I wanted the case for protection, but especially to carry an extra battery. It will fit if you put the lens end towards the top, to leave room for the battery in the elastic /net pouch...but the net and elastic do not hold the battery or anything else in the net (unless they are so big your camera then doesn't fit). The elastic stretches across the case but is up so high the battery slips out and slides around, so unless you are careful you wind up searching like I did the other day, in the pouring rain through your car, under the seats for the battery that slipped out when you removed your camera.

So for protection it's okay, for everything else it really needs help.

Honest reviews on Camera Case for Panasonic Lumix DMC Series + Screen Protector Kit

I really liked this case for my Lumix DMC-ZS7 and it fit the camera well. However, when I tried to keep a spare battery (fairly thin) along with a spare SD card in the case with the camera, the zipper quickly failed. It took little to no pressure to zip the case shut, so I did not expect the zipper to fail. I almost lost my extra battery due to the issue. If you are not planning to keep a spare batter in the case, then I would reommend this one, especially for the price. If not, plan to buy something else.

I received this product, and it was bigger than I expected. But that's oke. I can put my extra battery in it and SD-card. Also I can hang it on my jeans with the safety lock...

I bought this case to store my "in-ear headphones" (earbuds) during travels and it is the perfect size for that: the opening is wide enough to enable easy folding of the earbuds cable, and it is small enough to fit in the pocket. The cushioning offers a good protection. Also: it costs less than $1.

It's a San Francisco based company and they delivered a winner in this camera case. I recently purchased a compact "super-zoom" which tends to be a little thicker than most other compacts. This fit perfectly and provides some structure and cushioning for the camera. Great bang for the buck!

I was taking a 10 day trip to france and needed a convenient way to take my Camera (Canon D60 with 18-200 EFS lens), an extra lens (8-16mm Sigma) plus stuff needed for day trips. Also wanted to minimize number of bags for flight and needed a way to take my laptop. The pack was perfect. For the flight all of the above along with my Toshiba 13" laptop, ipod, cellphone, earphones, charger, etc, plus a sweatshirt fit and the bag was my under the seat carry-on: perfect. I will add at this point that it is extremely comfortable to wear even when weighed down, but for the airport the outer sleeve that fits over the handle of a wheeled peice of carry on luggage makes it a dream to travel with. Once in France, my usual contents would be the camera in the side compartment, extra lens in the pack plus a sweatshirt and stuff I needed for the day. It was incredibly comfortable to wear and walk with and I did plenty of walking around Normandy and Paris, and the side pocket is really quick and easy access for the camera. Just drop it off your right shoulder, the bag swings to your side, the zipper opens quickly, and the camera is right there to take out. Great travel companion. My only caution is that this is not for a photo safari if you're super serious and want to take multiple lenses plus flashes, and lots of other gear it's for a day pack with one serious camera/lens combo and maybe one extra lens plus the other stuff you'll need for the day. It's the perfect size for its intended purpose.

I needed a light, compact backpack that would hold my dslr and 3 lenses, plus my netbook or laptop. I also wanted quick access to my camera without having to take the backpack off. My main uses for this bag are as a carry-on/under-seat pack during travel, and for day trips/light hiking.

After looking at just about every backpack that exists (or at least what's available online), I narrowed it down to this and the Lowepro Fastpack 250. I ordered both and ended up keeping the Compuday Photo 250. The Fastpack 250 was great, but quite a bit bulkier than this one. It also looks more like a camera bag, where as this one does not. If you were to remove the small Lowepro logo patch it would be even stealthier.

This pack is well made, well designed and carried just the right amount for my needs (camera, lenses, netbook, plus a bit of room for other misc items. If I bring my netbook, I can also fit my kindle, stacked above the netbook in the laptop compartment. I can even fit my Slik Pro V mini tripod in it, along with everything else (this tripod is only 14" folded). There are plenty of pockets and compartments to organize my stuff, and it's well-padded to protect the contents. The side camera compartment is great it allows quick camera access (almost as convenient as with a shoulder bag), but has the increased carrying comfort of a backpack (however to change lenses, you'd need to take the bag off, not so with a shoulder bag). I can carry this thing for hours without any discomfort, but with a shoulder bag, I'd have a sore neck after an hour or so. The shoulder straps are comfortable and easily adjustable, however there is no chest/waist strap (not really needed, considering the relatively light load one would be carrying in this pack). The only things I would suggest are adding a couple of loops on the sides and top to attach bungies and clip-on accessories, and using a waterproof (non woven) material for the bottom.

The price is also quite reasonable for what you get. Highly recommended.

This bag is amazing!

I researched all different kinds of bags that could carry my DSLR + Lenses + Misc. Items + 15" Macbook Pro, and this is the one.

All the other bags offer great attributes, but this one definitely takes the cake; it has a great easy access camera slot for my Canon 550D + Battery Grip + Vivitar 28mm 2.8, and definitely has room for a lot more.

This also holds my 15" Macbook Pro, with all of my cords and accessories (headphones, external hdd). The ONLY qualm I've had thus far is that I can't fit my laptop and my sleeve very comfortably into the laptop compartment-but it helps that the bag is extremely padded.

The build quality of the bag is also extremely nice, with a solid feel and overall great look. The bag is extremely inconspicuous, so there really is no need to worry about people KNOWING you have a camera and a laptop on you.

What's also nice about this bag is that if you don't need to carry your camera, you can essentially get rid of the camera slot, allowing for books and clothing to take its place. Even with the camera slot, there's tons of room for other items.

The front pockets are seriously spacious, and I can hold all of my cords, miscellaneous documents, extra lenses, clothing, and books inside of it. The slots for a cellphone and pens holds my clunky Android G1, along with a bunch of pens and thumb drives.

The water bottle mesh knit on the side is super convenient, holding my Klean Kanteen and even my cell phone.

I would have to say the bag is still really comfortable with my camera, laptop, and life-equipment in it.

Honestly, this bag is completely under priced, for what it offers. If you're looking for a not clunky and ugly bag that has tons of room for everyday things, this is your bag.

Honest reviews on Lowepro LP36297 CompuDay Photo 250 (Black)

I was looking for a pack that would hold more than just my camera but not much more... I was frustrated because most packs that I found were all about the camera plenty of room for lenses and accessories but not those other travel essentials. Or, if the pack could carry those essentials it was way too large.

This one is right in the sweet spot a super convenient dedicated side-access pouch for your SLR+lens; and then a roomy interior for those things you also want to carry in a pack like a wind breaker or rain jacket, some snacks, etc. The slim pouch inside will hold an iPad no problem; probably not a full sized laptop. There is a water bottle pocket on the side, and a couple of extra places for cell phones and other small/slim stuff.

I usually pack this with a DSLR+ attached lens in the side pocket, then an extra lens in the main compartment, then some clothing and snacks to accommodate the kids that usually travel with me. I wear it as a backpack, sometimes single strapped, and sometimes I use the convenient handle and one-hand it.

I am really pleased to have found a well-made pack that is just the right size for the few things I want to carry in addition to my camera.

This is a nice bag when you wish to carry your DSLR around together a laptop/tabled and some other non-photographic items. But despite what Lowepro says, it won't hold a laptop larger than 15". For example, nor my Dell Latitude E6520 (15.6") nor an older Precision M4400 (15.4") will fit the notebook compartment, which makes it not useful when I need to travel with a larger notebook.

The pocket inside the front compartment are a bit small too, and probably will be a tight fit for most actual smartphones. Had Lowepro designed it a inch larger and an inch taller it would have been almost perfect.

Yet the side aperture is very handy to get the camera and shoot keeping the backpack on a shoulder, and there is enough room for what you may need to carry with you an a short trip, especially when flying and having to carry just one cabin luggage both camera and notebook are protected enough and easily accessible.

I bought this product basically for two things: the screen protection and the tripod. The screen protection looks durable, I had to adjust it manually to fit my Kodak m580 camera, not big deal but it can be really a pain in the @ss if you're not careful. The tripod looks ok for now, but I think it would get loose with the time, so we'll see. The case is not bad, it's small perfect to take it in your pocket, so that was a really nice plus, it's not the best good looking case in the world, but it accomplish the purpose of protection. Anyway for the price, I think it's fair what you're getting.

What a great bag. We were worried about it being too big, but find that it is true "you can never have too much room in a camera bag." This is about as big as we want to actually CARRY, but if you combine the waist strap (which folds neatly away in a hidden pouch in back) with a cross-chest support by bringing the strap across the body and fastening it, you can tote it around all day without fatigue.

It is nearly infinitely adjustable, and we are very glad of that with each new, added lens. We were pointed to this bag by our camera store, and have been very happy with it. It is heavy duty, and the advertising leaves some question about the waist strap it's there, and it's well made and durable. The waist and the shoulder straps are made of seat belt material and we embroidered our identification on them with no loss of strength.

Highly recommend it.

This product works great, it was a tiny bit snug at first but after a few days it worked great. I wish I could say the same for the tablet itself. I replaced 2 tablets both quit working I finally just got my money back and bought a whole different tablet.

like the cover. dislike the protective film which is hard to apply without air bubbles. tried to apply film several times and it got worse each time. like the stylus.

The case itself is a good case, but when you stand it up on its side it barely stays up, and when it does you have to be practically laying down to see the screen. The stylus is a POS and not even worth using. The screen protector came a little bent and never fit to my tablet the correct way.

UPDATE 2/14/2012

I've upgraded to 5 stars. Maybe I've just gotten used to the bag, maybe it's stretched a bit; for whatever reason the camera seems to fit better. The bag has been used a lot and is holding up great. I was going to change the strap but I've decided it's not an issue.

I ended up liking this so much I bought another one for my FZ150. Plenty of room for that camera plus a lot of other stuff!

More good points about the bag:

--In the previous review I neglected to mention that there is also a single non-closure pocket inside the bag, which is convenient to slip in anything from postcards to a small camera manual.

--The strap adjusts easily and has swivel attachements, so it doesn't get all twisted up.

----------------

I'm upgrading this to 4 stars after using it for a couple of days. I've been riding around on a bicycle near the beach, the camera (in the bag) slung across my back, stopping to take pictures as I went. This bag works quite well for this purpose, and I could see it being very handy on a trip or while hiking.

The good:

--Very easy to open the bag and extract the camera (Pentax K-5 with 55-300mm lens attached).

--Snug but not tight fit (for this camera) means no sliding around in the bag.

--Compact size (not, it's not "large") is convenient for putting on a table or chair.

The so-so:

--Single zipper pocket is adequate for filter, small remote, WB balance cap, reading glasses (for reading screen), small notepad & pen (for writing down settings for different shots); not much more. For a casual outing, it's OK.

--Padding is OK, but don't drop it. (But why on earth would you want to? Take care of your gear, and your gear will take care of you.)

The bad:

--Strap is too narrow; OK for short carry but could be uncomfortable for long carry.

--You could carry an extra lens (say, a shorter lens) but it would have to come out of the bag before you could get the camera in or out.

--As mentioned below, the specs are not accurate. This is why I only gave it 3 stars to start with, but that was a reflection of the listing more than of the actual product.

______________

Previous review:

This is an OK bag. But the specs are wrong. If you measure the bag before you unwrap it, you'll find it is definitely not 9" high, but about 8". I bought this bag based on the stated specs and 9" would have been totally adequate. I have Pentax K-r with Pentax 55-300mm zoom attached. It just barely fits in the 8" space; it's actually a tad over 8". The Pentax lenses tend to be fairly compact, so if you are going to have any longer lens on your camera (or if your camera is larger), this is definitely not the bag for you. And if you want to carry an extra lens, don't get this bag.

The zippered compartment on the front of the bag is sufficient to hold a couple of filters, a small remote, an extra battery, and a WB lens cap. Not much more. Bottom line: this bag is adequate for a casual walk-around with one lens and a minimum of accessories.

Measure your gear and go from there.

After reading many reviews, I purchased this bag for my DSLR. The truth is that I am quite disappointed. The bag has no padding, hence no protection for the camera at all. It is cheaply made and it does not even look so good. Just the truth (in my personal opinion!)

The camera, the hood, extra lenses, spare battery and spare SDHC with its reader everything fits in perfect. The case feels solid and looks great. It is easy to take the camera out too. Highly recommended.

I bought this from sears. my Nikon D80 with 16-85 lens just fits this holster very tight, but it works. I think D80+18-55 will definitely fit well. If you want more room, go bigger one.

Best Deals for Case Logic SLRC-1 SLR Camera Holster Case (Black/Grey)

I bought this bag as an on the go bag for my Nikon D5000--since simply hanging the camera around my neck all day made me WAY too nervous! The bag fits the camera and the 18-55 lens perfectly, and has room for me to carry an extra battery. I like that it has a hard bottom, so then you can sit the bag down without having to worry about the camera tipping (something you don't want happening with a DSLR!). It can be a bit awkward to get the strap in the bag as well, but I've found tucking the strap around the lens works well.

If you're looking for a bag to carry your camera and all of your lenses and and gear, than this is not it. But if you want something to carry your camera and your primary lens while on a trip or out and about, I think this is a great option.

Honest reviews on Case Logic SLRC-1 SLR Camera Holster Case (Black/Grey)

I agree with the previous reviewer that this is a perfect fit for the Panasonic Lumix FZ28 camera. I reverse the lens hood, place it over the camera lens and put the two together into the case with the left side of the camera down. I then put my filter case (three filters) on top of the camera in the main compartment. A spare battery with the charger fit into the separate front compartment. This gives me everything I need in a compact package. I don't have any additional memory cards but they could fit easily into either the main or front compartment.

The shoulder strap seems fine to me. The whole setup is so light you hardly know its on your shoulder.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Case Logic SLRC-1 SLR Camera Holster Case (Black/Grey)

I bought this for a Pentax K200D and it fits quite well; there is a little extra space around the camera but not enough that the camera moves around inside. With the camera inside, the case balances well on the hard "cap". There is a velcro-secured pocket under the zipper lid, and a small zipper pocket on the outside front. Both are large enough for a filter or two, or memory cards and an extra battery.

The included shoulder strap is of the el-cheapo variety, but functional nonetheless. The belt attachment is sewn-in and requires you to thread a belt through the case. I prefer the twin loop snap/velcro attachment of a similar LowePro case I saw in a local camera shop (which attached well to two rows of MOLLE webbing), but the LowePro seemed less sturdy and more expensive.
