I have bought this case, and had someone else buy it for a canon s230 digital elph. The case has been with me on a trip to Europe and Alaska, and both times, the case did not get in the way. It clips to your belt, or gives protection if you put it into another bag. The case will hold the camera, and a spare memory card. It is the smallest case you can get and still have protection for the camera.

Fits my Olympus Tough 8010. It is sometimes hard to judge whether a particular case will fit a given camera, and you could end up buying several cases before finding the right one. I did check Tamrac's website for their cross reference, and they did indicate this case would fit.

And it does, but it could have been 1/4" longer. Not that the case doesn't fit the camera fairly well, but the camera does stick out of the case just a bit. I usually roll up the camera strap at the top of the case before folding the cover over the camera. When I do that with this case, the strap is exposed to the open sides of the case even with the cover closed. This can result in the strap falling out, or the possibility to get snagged on something.

A minor issue, so I still gave it 5 stars. But an extra 1/4" of depth and it would have been perfect.

very compact, easy to use, strong velcro. I recommend highly for small cameras. Very tight fit for Sony RX-100, but works if you don't mind a tight fit.

Brought this pouch for my Canon S95 camera that we carry around for parties and clubbing events.

The pouch is pretty snappy and is easy to hold in the wife's handbag. Protection is pretty good as well.

Not too thick, not too thin for good protection of my Canon Powershot A1200 which I carry at all times. This Tamrac 5686 bag has held up very well-attached around a strap/belt or when tossed into another bag/medium-sized purse. Doesn't take up much room, so I don't mind that there is no space for extra batteries. (They are easily slipped into a pocket.) Nice little velcroed pocket for a memory card though. The velcro in general still sticks together firmly. I am very pleased overall.

The case shown in the main product listing protects the screen too, but the actual product does not. (The other pictures kind of show this if you look very carefully but are not super clear). Can't really complain for the price (same thing at A**le store is $25) but I wanted screen protection. If you don't want screen protection, then this is a great deal. Fits the Nano perfectly.

I previously ordered the case for the 4th generation by mistake and had to re order. This case is awesome, it does it's job! The only thing I wish it did have is something to cover the thing that you use to adjust the volume & go from one song to the next, but other than that it's a great case. Also, it's not difficult to lock it, fingers can fit in there and whatnot.

Review of Lowepro Toploader Chest harness

Lowepro Toploader Chest harness
Customer Ratings: 4 stars
Buy Now
I bought this product to use with the Lowepro Topload Zoom 1 Camera Bag, and it works incredibly well. I do a lot of hiking that often includes periods of rock scrambling. I wanted to have my camera ready at a moment's notice, yet be safe from bumping up against rocky surfaces. With the chest harness attached, my camera fits snug against my stomach, and my hands are free to grab onto rocky surfaces. I have even used the chest harness to keep my camera from swaying while I've climbed into slot canyons. I highly recommend this product.

I've found that the camera is most stable when the waist belt is hooked onto the top of the camera bag and the shoulder belts are attached to the bottom of the bag the vendor's photo shows the opposite attachment.

I use this with a topload zoom all-weather bag, and this harness keeps the bag stable, so I can lean completely forward (flat) or jog at a slow gallop. A nice feature of strap is that when you put it on, the back has a sown strap patch which permanently ties together all straps, and allows you to [loop] hang strap from your neck. This makes it very easy to put on as you don't have to rest bag on a table, etc. while you strap it in. My only issue with bag is that the D-Ring clips (which mount to your bag) are made out of plastic, and may break. But for the price, I'm not going to worry much. So 4-star because of the plastic clips, but other than that a nice 5-star product.

Best Deals for Lowepro Toploader Chest harness

I own a Nikon D80 and I usually go out with 2 lenses at any time. I purchased the topload zoom 2 along with the harness.

I got this for when I go hiking to use it with the chest harness and a backpack at the same time. While the harness is not that easy to put on the first time, the combo topload + harness is so convenient. It does not impair your capacity to carry other hiking related stuff, you don't have to miss all these incredible shots because you can just grab your camera whenever. And you do not need to kill your neck keeping your camera out all the time either. More importantly, this is a nice way to equalize the weight of your equipment when Hiking.

Some reviewers mention that the straps were not too conveniently located and could conflict with your backpack straps. If your backpack is well conceived, that's probably not a problem then.

Why 4 stars? The straps are fairly thin and not padded like on a backpack. This might hurt and not be too comfortable after long hours. Make sure you wear a pretty think shirt or a jacket.

The level of adjustments seems ok for a typical body size but I feel like either very small or very big people will have a hard time adjusting it. It will likely be too loose or too tight.

Overall, I like it!

Honest reviews on Lowepro Toploader Chest harness

I bought this item, so that I could have my DSLR accessible, while on long day trips, overnight trips, and backpack trips. I found that it doesn't work well with a backpack, because the straps conflict too much. I also found it to be quite uncomfortable, in conjunction with a backpack, because the straps are unforgiving.

I found that it doesn't work well with backpacks, but it might work well, when used with a lumbar pack. Even then, you might as well just use your bag's shoulder strap and attach the belt loop to your belt (cheap and easy).

If they made the lower straps, which go around your abdomen, out of a stretchy material, this might be a great product. Otherwise, I don't recommend it the idea is great, but it doesn't work the way I thought it would.

This holster accomplishes one goal: to carry my DSLR and a zoom lens without the encumbrance of a camera bag with a shoulder strap, or of a backpack that I must reach into whenever I need a camera tool. For this, I give the product an A-.

However, I also have two big complaints.

Lowepro designed this holster and harness for a man's body (e.g., a person without breasts). This is a huge disappointment and a frustrating problem. I can wear the harness (and I will), but because the ideal carrying position is slightly below chest level, it means that the holster and harness require a tighter fit, which makes it more cumbersome to open and close the holster. If I loosen the harness to move the holster farther down (say, to waist level), the straps slip up on my shoulders and create an uncomfortable non-fit for the harness.

Come on guys! Surely you can design a harness system that takes a woman's body into consideration and accommodates it. We, too, are photographers and would really appreciate it if you paid some attention to these details.

The other disappointment with this product is its lack of a wider belt loop opening that stretches across the entire width of the holster itself. As it is designed, the loop is functional, but with a larger DSLR/lens, the holster sags and pulls on the "belt", creating huge discomfort on my lower back and making the holster itself much harder to open and close easily. I have seen holsters that have belt loops that are as wide as the holster's width, that are also padded to keep the belt from being overly tight and uncomfortable on the waist/lower back.

If you feel like a mule lugging around a camera bag, laptop case and a carry-on luggage bag, then this is the solution to the problem! I've been able to consolodate my camera equipment, laptop and some personal travel items all into this one bag. The case comes with many moveable dividers so you may need to shuffle them around for a while and leave some out to get the perfect fit. The wheels and handle on this model are of great quality and are a necessity because when loaded, this thing weighs a ton! While it can be worn as a backpack, I don't really see it happening unless you're a Titan...It's HUGE! A friend of mine has the model without the wheels so he has to carry it. Let me tell you, it's a site to behold! After he saw mine, he wishes he bought the model with the wheels! The case is very expensive but if you travel with expensive, delicate equipment, the protection it provides and it's capabilities are priceless! I do recommend going to Lowepro's website to get it's full specs and capabilites before making a decision.

This bag solves several problems when travelling by airline. You can fit most if not all your gear plus laptop and a few folders (for me it eliminates the need for a breifcase). The wheels make it simple to use when travelling. There are two limitations: First, once you get to your destination it will be combersome to use off the beaten path, so you may want to bring along a smaller bag, flat in your checked luggage to use in the field. Second, it weighs 10 lbs empty. Some airlines have weight restrictions for carry-on luggage, which this thing can easily exceed when full. Check your airline before you fly and be nice at the ticket counter!

One other note. Although it has the ability to carry a tripod, don't plan to travel with it that way; the bag will not fit in the over-head with the tripod attached. Put the tripod in another bag and attach it later if you want.

Best Deals for Lowepro Rolling CompuTrekker Plus AW

I wanted a bag that would hold my camera gear, particularly a long lens (300mm f/2.8), as well as my laptop. The main purpose of the bag would be for air travel. For car trips, it's easy to toss two bags in the back. And for hikes, I probably wouldn't bring my laptop. But with airlines cracking down on the number of bags per passenger, I wanted everything in one bag.

I first tried the Kata R-103 GDC Rucksack, but it wasn't big enough. My Dell Inspiron is 14" x 10-1/4" x 1-1/2", and it didn't fit.

I tried the next size up, the Kata HB-207 GDC Hiker Backpack for DSLR system or DV/HDV camcorder. (Insertrolly optional). It's an immense bag so large I can't imagine carrying it for long. But my laptop wouldn't fit in it, either.

So I started looking at Lowepro. The Lowepro CompuTrekker Plus AW Camera Backpack (Black) was squarer in shape, rather than tapered on top like the Kata, so it seemed more likely that my laptop would fit. I went over to the Lowepro site to check the specs (Amazon's are often incomplete, or even incorrect), where I saw that they also made a version with wheels. Perfect!

I don't know how I missed this bag before. Perhaps I overlooked it because Amazon doesn't carry it. I ordered it from Amazon seller M Z Photo and got free shipping and delivery in two days as good as Amazon Prime. ;-)

And yes, at last, my computer fits! There's a pocket in front that holds a removable laptop sleeve. While the sleeve itself is too small, the computer does fit in the pocket. I can use the padded laptop sleeve without closing it (the outer pocket zips up easily around it and provides plenty of protection), I can put the laptop in without the sleeve, or I could buy my own sleeve that does fit. (If you don't understand what I mean, there are photos on the Lowepro site that show what I mean.)

The bag is well-made and well-designed. It's bigger than I expected, but it does conform to carry-on rules. At least if you don't overstuff the outside pockets. It's too large to fit under a seat, but should fit nicely in the overhead bin.

As others have said, this really isn't suited to carry as a backpack, though they give you the straps to do it. The roller mechanism makes the bag heavier than a backpack needs to be, and not terribly comfortable to wear. I will probably keep the smaller Kata bag to use as a backpack and daybag. Pack it my suitcase and take it out once I get to my destination.

Honest reviews on Lowepro Rolling CompuTrekker Plus AW

This guy went right back. First of all, it is huge. And not in any good way. It is big and clunky, but surprisingly it does hold very much. I had the simple Canon backpack and found that after moving all my stuff into the CompuTrekker I really did not have a lot of extra space. I also was very disappointed with the pockets which were too few and too tight. The computer pocket was really tight and barely fit my 13" MacBook. The fact that this is a backpack is useless. I am a 6' tall man and it was laughable wearing this. I tried several other camera bags that held a computer, camera equipment and had wheels and none of them were workable. One of my main issues is that I want to be able to go sightseeing with some camera equipment. If I bought the CompuTrekker I would have had to bring a separate bag to bring during the day. This is yet another thing to pack. I ended up realizing that the wheels was not going to happen. I bought the Tamrac Adventure 9 Photo/Computer Backpack which I can pack full for flights and then empty most of it and use it as a day backpack with just the camera equipment that I need.

You get what you pay for with this bag lots of secure storage for your equipment. It is quite a LARGE bag it will easily handle your camera body, 1-2 large lenses, and another 2-3 smaller lenses plus flash and other assorted odds and ends, plus your medium to large size laptop, and cables and even a portable hard drive. As others have said though, this is not a bag you would necessarily want to carry on your back or take out on the trail once your get to where you are going. It also appears to be right on the edge of what would be acceptable for carry-on luggage if you weren't carrying anything else, you could probably handle it ok. For my purposes it was too large, so I sent it back, but I will tell you I was tempted to keep it because it is such a well constructed and durable bag. I went with this larger version as I have a 15.4" laptop and it could have easily accepted a 17". I do think though that if I had a smaller laptop I could have gotten away with the smaller version of this bag and would I would have kept it as I can see where this bag is ideal for keeping all of your "tech" gear together when you travel.

Love this little guy, fits great on Dakine shoulder straps or waist straps...almost anywhere really.

Fits an iPhone 5 without a case on it, or any other iPhone, or normal throw away cell phones, a pack of smokes, or whatever.

Good buy and is a great addition to any Dakine pack if you can match the colors up!

I absolutely hate shoulder bags and upon receiving this bag I thought my experience would be the same (I am a heavy set guy so these bags are normally uncomfortable to wear). Before packing the bag, I thought I'd put the bag on to see how comfortable it was, and I must say I was shocked that not only was it comfortable, but it was practically weightless. I am also surprised to see how many things actually fit into this bag and still remain entirely comfortable. I've been able to fit either one of my tablets (iPad and Kindle Fire), my notebook, my Canon EOS 60D with grip and EF 24-105 f/4 L IS USM with hood on, Canon Speedlite 580EX ii, Rode Video mic, etc. Even fully packed it remained lightweight and comfortable. This makes an excellent every day bag for the photographer.

Pros:

-Lightweight

-Comfortable for people of all sizes

-Very Spacious

-One of the few shoulder bags that allow for battery grip to remain on camera

Cons:

-The Velcro straps are extremely noisy and not useable if the bag is packed tightly.

I was skeptical about the shoulder bag style for carrying heavy equipment, but this bag really feels great fully-loaded. I spent a lot of time looking for that perfect bag that would fit everything for every occasion, and finally realized it does not exist. This bag allows you to carry a lot of gear and have easy access to it. I can carry my D800, 70-200, 24-70 a flash and a wide angle lens in this bag, along with cards and other small accessories. It is most comfortable to wear on the shoulder and hang straight down. If you need added security, are riding a bike or climbing, use it across the body on the other shoulder, but this is less comfortable. I have the Lowepro flipside 500 AW backpack for long hikes with tripod and that is a great, but huge, bag for taking everything on long hikes where you would want to have everything with you. I also have a great lowepro sling bag, but it does not allow you the easy access to change lenses like this bag does.

Is there such a thing as the perfect camera bag? Apparently not, because you can do a search and find over one hundred variations. I was going on a trip, and I wanted something that would hold enough, yet be easy to get into. This bag was perfect for that. There was a smaller model available, but I thought that carrying less was not my goal.

I prefer to have the strap run across my chest because it's more secure that way. You can have the lid close with Velcro for easy opening and closing, or you can use the plastic clasp for more secure, permanent closing.

There are dividers inside that you can move to accommodate whatever you are carrying. The front zips open to reveal a generous amount of storage with some little pockets, too.

Overall, this is a perfect bag for carrying lenses or other items that you want to get at quickly and easily. The quality is excellent, as with all Lowepro prodcuts.

Honest reviews on Lowepro Event Messenger 250

First and formost, LowePro makes GREAT camera bags.

I have owned several LowePro's and other bags since beginning photography and the Event Messanger 250 is without question the best I have ever owned. One thing you need to know about LowePro is that their bags are reliable and solid, even the inexpensive ones like the Adventure series. They are just well thought out/ simple bags and while you might think you don't need some of the features when ordering, they start making a heck of a lot of sense when actually using them.

The LowePro Event Messenger 250

PROS:

1) Amazing amount of space!

I can fit:

-Canon t3i w/ battery grip

-100mm Macro Lens

-18-135 STM LENS

-40mm Pancake Lens

-430ex II Flash

-MacBook Pro w/ Retina (13 inch)

-iPad (3rd Generation)

-Multiple accessories including: Portable Softbox, Lens Pens, Cleaning Supplies, Camera Charger, Battery Charger (for Flash), etc., etc., etc.

2) The bag is comfortable!

After packing all that camera gear I thought I would be bogged down by the weight but the bag worked perfectly! The Strap cushion just feels like it is "stuck" to my shoulder and is just easy and comfortable to walk around with.

3) It is Built Well

-All the stitching is tough, even the elastic on the side pockets hold up really well, the zippers are top notch, it is SOLID!

-The inside configuration is wel easily configurable :)

-There is plenty of padding

-Even the front pocket for accessories is well planned. It is by no means large but it offers more space to hold Filters, cleaning supplies, wireless remotes, etc. (My one gripe with other Lowepro bags is the accessories pockets are just way too shallow, the Event Messenger 250 is just about perfect).

4) The reversible Velcro Liners are BRILLIANT!

At first I thought this was an unnecessary addition to the bag but when I wanted to take pics at a local Cathedral I soon realized why LowePro thought of this! The Velcro is LOUD!!! It holds extremely tight which is great but trying to undo the bag in a quiet setting is a bit embarrassing.

Cons:

None (HONESTLY)

I guess if I had to complain about 1 thing it would be the foam inserts in the bag. They are kind of a pain to get in place but once they are there, they stay!

I am sure some people will find a problem here and there with this bag but all in all it is as close to perfect for My Needs as a camera/ laptop bag can get!

CONCLUSION:

-This bag is amazing, it is built well, looks nice, extremely comfortable, and well thought out. $70 for a messenger bag may seem expensive but it's a STEAL! If you are thinking about buying a smaller/ cheaper bag then save your money and get this instead. You will save money in the long run and be happier with the purchase.

It really is that good!

When shooting a wedding, i'm always having to leave my camera bag with the dj, or behind a table, and having a 1500 lens in there doesn't make me feel the best. I'm always checking to make sure it's still there. This is just the ticket i was looking for. I can keep an extra speed light, lens and camera body plus all my cards, batteries, etc right at my side. Where has this been for all my previous weddings! Great quality and not too noisy while opening, etc.

Tamrac Neo's Digital 5 Slim Digital Camera Bag

This tough case is the perfect size for tiny cameras such as the Olympus Stylus 7010. About the largest thing that will fit in the pouch would be: 2 3/8" wide, 3/4" 1" deep, and 4.5" tall. The case will stretch somewhat, so measurements don't have to be precise.

The front cover secures with Velcro and the case is lightly padded for protection of the contents. There's a small "pocket" just under the front flap, large enough for a compact-flash, SD, other memory card, or similar item. The case has two hooks for attaching to a neck strap. The belt loop on the back of the case will wrap around a belt up to about 2". This case w/camera is only slightly larger than my tiny cell-phone case; i.e., hardly notice I'm carrying it. Nice product.

I have been using these cases for years to carry my cell phone and camera. They protect the contents nicely and are easy to use, but the velcro loop side wears out (thus I took off one star). for cell phone use (where access is frequent) the velcro lasts between one and 2 years. the rest of the case would last much longer. Perhaps it is not genuine velcro. Despite that, they are otherwise so good I keep buying replacements.

I don't quite understand why, but I think that the name "Fish Bomb Bag" is just awesome. As far as a product goes, I have no complaints. The bag can even be looped to fit on my belt so that I have my filters and caps on me so that I won't absently remove them like I could with a bag. It is not meant to be a super high-end product and I find the stitching reflects that but it doesn't bother me. For what I paid for it, it does an excellent job. I can make any necessary touch-up stitching repairs that it needs. I highly recommend this product.

I received one of these "FishBombs" for FREE when purchasing a lens filter from Adorama through an online promotion. It is a nifty little neoprene case that is used to carry spare lens filters when shooting. I use the Fishbomb to put spare filters instead of my pocket (which prevents dust and scratches on the filter). When I'm not using it for filters, I use the Fishbomb to carry extra AA batteries for my 580EX flash or my cell phone. I've lost an iPhone at a shoot when I bent down it fell out of my pant pockets. The Fishbomb holds my cell phone very snugly. As a result, the Fishbomb is a must have for any half serious photographer on a photo shoot.

I got this case for my Canon PowerShot SD960 about a year ago. It's a perfect fit and provides superb protection. It's well padded, and has a foam type liner with little bumps to provide additional protection if dropped. Overall, it's very nicely padded. It is very well made with a good material, and the zip opening is on the long side (rather than on the top like some cases), extending a bit down each of the short sides to provide a good sized opening to remove or replace the camera. The zipper pull is nice and solid, with a slightly larger knob at the end which can be grasped easily for zipping or unzipping. Above all, with a zip type case, it's critical that the zipper work smoothly and without catching on anything, and be up to the task of surviving a lot of use without falling apart. This case fits the bill....the zipper is nylon and zips easily and smoothly from one end to the other. The case looks as new and the zipper works just as well as it did a year ago when I bought it. I'll add that I've carried this around a lot in my purse and opened it a LOT. So I'm impressed with the quality.

The wrist strap is has a little hook which makes it easily removable if you wish to not use it. The hook ring on the case itself could probably accommodate a thin type hook to attach it to your belt or whatever you want to hook it to. The back part of the case has a strong, thick nylon strap attached in the side seams which would allow your belt to pass thru it to wear on your belt, with the zipper at the top for easy camera removal as you wear it.

Any small camera roughly the size of the SD960 would fit perfectly in this case. My camera fits tightly enough that it doesn't move around, yet it's easy to slip the camera with its wrist strap into the case. I plan to buy the Canon S95 soon and I hope it will also fit in this case. If so, I will buy another one as I like it better than any of the other small cases I've seen in the stores.

I got my case at BBuy for $14.99 plus tax. This one on Amazon is cheaper, but the shipping brings it to roughly the same price as BB, so not a big savings here unfortunately.

I mostly bought this for the nonadhesive screen protector. I had expected it to come precut to the size I needed, but I had to cut it down for my ELPH 310 HS. It came with no instructions and I think the labels on the protective coverings for the screen protector should perhaps have said to remove one side before applying, and remove the other side after or while applying. (They said to remove both sides before applying.) I guess the little piece of cardboard is to help smooth the film while applying. I haven't used the case, tho possibly I would when traveling. It looks sturdy enough to be protective. It's about 1-3/8" thick, so there is room to carry some other thin things in the net pouch facing the camera on the inside. However, small things like a spare battery or SD card could easily slip out of the pouch and float around in the case. The battery charger just fits into the pouch, but I didn't try putting in both the charger and the camera together to see if they would touch each other.

Ideal for smaller SLRs and a couple of lenses and a few accessories. It is not suitable for a pro body like a D4. My D800 with vertical grip won't fit very well.

A standard body SLR, or any mirror-less body will be fine.

The bag itself is very well made and of superior quality, which is just as well, they are not cheap but the quality matches the price.

Fantastic bag. Well constructed. As other site customer reviews have suggested, the bag fits a full frame DSLR with a second lens. For example; I am able to fit a D800 with 50mm f1.4 G & lens hood attached, 70-200mm f2.8, filter pouch that carried two Neutral Density faders, Battery Charger, accessory pouch 6"x3"x2" and rocket air blower all within the main compartment. Ergonomic, compact, pragmatic and excellent aesthetics. Highly recommend this bag!

Bought this case for my daughter to go along with her new Nikon Coolpix camera. It is cute and fuzzy and a perfect fit for the camera.

There is a little pouch on the front where she can store an extra sd card or perhaps spare batteries. She's had it since June and everything is good with it, hasn't fallen apart or developed any other issues. Happy with this purchase.
