Perfect fit, not much extra bulk (but note that this is not a gadget bag).
Fairly comfortable, moderate protection for camera, less flashy than the silver camera.
Pretty easy to open the flap and grab the camera with the strap over shoulder or neck.
Cons
Looks a bit like a gun holster
Top flap doesn't actually seal so a little dust or rain can get in.
I'd rather have a nylon shoulder strap with plastic hardware rather than the leather strap with metal hardware.
Summary
Pretty good, kind of expensive. I couldn't find any alternatives for this unusually shaped camera while keeping case size to a minimun. I like it.

I bought this case for my F707 early in 2005 and have used it for a couple of years now. This case fits the camera and a few accessories perfectly. It holds the camera, has a pouch for 1 extra memory stick and a compartment meant to carry a spare battery.Tip: Rather than carrying a spare battery, I purchased the Sony BCTRM battery charger (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00008ZGSQ/104-6057648-5367951). It fits perfectly into the case's battery compartment and allows for recharging of the battery when on a long trip.
Minuses: No room to carry additional accessories there is no room for a wide angle lens, polarizing filter or lens flare cover.

I actually like this case a lot. It was exactly what I was looking for. No, there isn't a lot of storage, but you can always throw this case into a larger bag :)I was looking for a case that would provide some protection, but at the same time I wanted the camera to be easily accessible.
It has built-in storage for 1 extra battery, plus a couple straps for a couple memory sticks (although I use the metal memory stick case from Sony).
It seems pretty durable and has held up so far. Of course, it's only been about 3 months now :)
Anyway, it could be a little be cheaper, but I think overall it's a nice case and performs well.
