The main feature I like is that the compartments are all dividable and adjustable...and there are many (see uploaded photo). So, in effect, you can make this accommodate pretty much whatever gadgets you want to take along with you. In total, there are 12 "holes" to put things in, each of which can be adjusted. It also comes with straps to put over the compartments, so you can avoid something (like an expensive lens) falling out when you open the bag.
It is not what I would call small in size, but it should easily fit inside overhead compartments on narrow body aircraft. Without the extension utilized, it measures 18" tall, 14.5" wide, and 10" deep.
The material is very solid, and it has a two large external pockets for stuffing things in (like tickets and passports). However, this solid construction and the multitude of compartments come at a tradeoff....this case is fairly heavy, even when empty. I weighed it for the sake of this review, and it came in right at 11 pounds.
The only real negative I have regarding its design are the two internal pouches it has underneath the front cover. The material is plastic, and seems to be of a cheap plastic at that (see uploaded photo).
One really cool feature is that the entire compartmental unit can be lifted out, so you can utilize it as just an everyday rolling bag if you prefer.
What I am not too sure about is how long this bag will hold up with serious, professional type use, but that is not what I bought it for. I will probably only use it once or twice per year, when I travel and want to bring everything along with me and don't want the strain of a backpack or a sling design. For that purpose, I don't think you can beat this Domke bag.

Rolling Propack 217 (14 x 10 x 17.5", Black)Loving this bag... so many extra pockets and I found it for half the price on sale... great! I even like it better than my twice the price Lowepro! The two flaps on the outside front have nice deep pockets and are zippered too for extra protection. There is a laptop compartment on the back that you enter from the side (with it's own removable sleeve). On the inside everything is customizable with velcro. The entire inside compartment can be removed, but it doesn't have it's own separate lid that closes. Even the inside pockets are deeper than most.
Only CON... no lock. Everything else is high quality and wonderful from handles, wheels, fabric, etc...
