I ordered thinking foam came with pre-scored with 1 inch cubes (as stated in product description). At first I was disappointed to see it came as 3 solid pieces of foam. I didn't want to trouble myself with a return, so I cut the foam with an electric knife to the size of the parts. I think it looks nicer, and fits better than what I would have had with punching out cubes. I gave it 4 stars only because the description was misleading, otherwise would have been 5.

Excellent replacement foam. It is exactly the same as the original that came with my Pelican 1700 case. Very satisfied.

This item came from Pelican thru Amazon. Two of the foam pieces were correct size. Third piece was too small. Received about 60% of the ordered product in the right size, so this item gets a 60% rating (3 of 5). Not worth the trouble to return all of the pieces. Expected more since it was coming direct from Pelican.

I ordered this "replacement foam set" thinking it would be an actual replacement foam set. Silly me.

It is generic foam that does not fit the case. It requires cutting and trimming. Not that I am too much of a Primadonna to cut it and make it fit, but that is not what I wanted. SO... I paid a premium for the replacement foam, thinking it would actually replace the original foam! ???? It does not.

Go to HD and buy some generic foam, save $$ and use the savings to buy a nice pair of scissors

This foam fit my 1700 case perfectly which you would expect since it is genuine pelican. All 3 of my pieces were solid and not a pick and pluck style. I built a hot wire foam cutter and now have a perfect custom fit case for my firearms.
