I purchased this bag mainly for walkaround purposes, as well as travel. It comfortably fits my D3100 with 16-85mm lens attached, and my 55-300mm lens alongside -ORthe 55-300 attached and the 16-85 alongside. I previously had a Velocity 7 bag, but I couldn't get past the fact that you could not stand the bag up vertically because of the rounded bottom. These new "z" series bags have more of a rectangular shape and therefore can stand up if so desired. There is room in the front pouch for battery charger, spare camera battery, memory cards, cleaning accessories, etc. Well made product.

UPDATE: I recently upgraded the Nikkor 55-300 lens to the AFS VR 70-300 model and was concerned that I would have to purchase a larger version of this bag. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I am able to fit both the 16-85mm (with hood attached) as well as the 70-300mm (hood reversed), with either lens attached to the D3100. Just snug enough that nothing is rattling around.

UPDATE: I have since replaced the 55-300 zoom with the 70-300 VR zoom. Much to my surprise it also fits in the bag, attached or alongside. A bit snug, but nothing is stressed in any way.

First I gave this 5 out of 5 stars because I love the product and the quality. It fits very nicely over your shoulder with the well-padded sling and when wearing you almost forget you have it on. It is also easily accessible without taking the pack off; you just swing it around to the front and unload your stuff. My wife and I use it for our Canon 70D with the large lens which fits in nice with the adjustable side padded compartments. We also house the charger, lens hood and small tripod inside. The bag has a cool system for keeping track of your used memory cards and batteries so you can tell which ones are new if you have multiple. Overall very happy with this bag.

I just came back from my first trip using this bag. It is exactly the right size. It stays in front of my body which makes it possible to carry it into some places that a backpack cannot go. I can take my extra lens with room for the battery charger in the main pocket. The front pocket has room for a few extras money, ID, credit card, lipstick. It totally eliminated the need for a purse. Loved it!

Purchased the bag at the local camera store where I compared it to a lot of other bags. The build quality is extremely nice. I have a Nikon D600 with a 28-300 lens attached and it fits right in the bag with little room to spare. I also have a 50mm 1.8 lens that I have in one of the inside side pockets which is a little tight and makes pulling the camera out of the bag a little tough with one hand. I wanted a small bag and thought I could get away with this one over the 7z which I also looked at. The front pocket holds the battery charger for the camera and some other small items. With the camera inside the whole package is solid and compact just the way I wanted it to be. I think the DX frame cameras with their smaller diameter lens would fit in the bag and allow the side areas to be of more use. The large diameter of the lens on my camera make the side storage areas to tight for an additional FX lens unless it is a very small one. I am seldom 100% happy with anything but this bag is very close. A 6.5 size would make me 100% happy the 7z size bag was just a little to large for what I wanted. I think a camera bag is something you should go to the store to look at and purchase so you are sure it's going to work for you and the price is the same.
