I will vouch for this case. I do a lot of outdoors and travel photography, so a lightweight tripod is a must. This size fits my Slik Sprint Pro tripod perfectly, so you can check the dimensions on that to see if it will fit yours. The interior dimensions listed are on the small side, meaning this will likely fit a bit more than it says it will... which is a good thing.

As for durability, it is incredible. I have not found another tripod bag that will even compete. I have it attached to the side of my LowePro Fastpack 250, and have taken it all over the world basically. Rain, snow, dust, dirt, this thing has been through a lot. A lot of airports too. And it's still going strong. I would say the build is similar to lowepro's better equipment. It'll hold heavier tripods too (i.e. manfrottos), but they must be small enough to fit inside the bag.

The biggest reason this case is so much better than the rest is that it has its own structure. This means that you can pull the tripod out of the bag without having to hold the bag. This means you can also put the tripod back into the bag without having to hold the bag. This is incredibly convenient, especially for those of use that are on the move, and maybe only have a few seconds (and/or just one hand) to pull out a tripod.

I just wanted a bag to help hide my tripod at least a little bit while on the subway or walking the streets and this fits the bill.

The idea was to clip it somehow to my camera bag, a Domke F-7, and this one was easy to attach. There are small strap loops, 2 on each side and 2 on the bottom. There is also an orange bungee cord surrounding the whole thing that I have no idea what is used for. Its gone anyway, I don't care much for safety orange attention grabbers on my gear.

It seems to be made well, everything is reinforced and its lightly padded. Its not great, but what do you expect for a $20 bag?

My Gitzo Traveller with a Manfrotto Hydrostatic Ball Head does not fit in the bag. The head is too big by about 2". What I need to do is take the head off, reverse the legs on the tripod like they're meant to be, throw the tripod and then the head in the bag and everything fits. A little bit of a pain but only takes a few seconds. I did not want a longer bag as this one is almost exactly the same length as my bag. A Benro Traveller tripod fits fine.

I wouldn't trust this to protect an expensive tripod in the cargo hold of an airplane, the sides are too soft and too little padded for that. It will obviously pass carry-on restrictions but it will count as a bag, so depending on what you're carrying, the airline, and the flight attendant that might not be an option. The flipside is that if you just have the tripod strapped to your bag, you might not it get through security or on the plane as they think it would be too easy to grab it and use it as a weapon. In that case it might be better to buy something that is just like a cloth bag that will cover your tripod and strap it onto you camera bag that way.

Overall a good deal. Its almost twice the price on the Case Logic site, and its not nearly as expensive as a lot of bags listed here.

I bought this for my Slik Sprint Pro. But unlike another reviewer with the same tripod, I feel that it is a poor fit. It's not the case's fault. It's just too long and too wide for SS Pro.

That's the problem with buying things over the Internet. You have to go by the pictures and the available reviews. Had I known this case would be much too big (in girth), I would not have purchased it. But then I would have missed out. It's a great fit for my Sony video tripod, which is a little longer than the Slik Sprint Pro and has a much greater girth with the legs folded. I always wanted a more substantial case for that video tripod but didn't want to spend the money because it came with a case (more like a "cover" or slipcase). Carrying the video tripod was an ordeal because its thin cloth case didn't protect the tripod and it wasn't comfortable to carry (no padding).

This case is nicely padded good protection for the tripod against the elements and good protection for me against the tripod.

I haven't figured out what the orange elastic cord is for. There are four "belt loops" that also have no obvious function. I could do without both, but it doesn't bother me to have them there.

Bottom line: Measure the length of your tripod. This case really is 21" long inside. It has a generous diameter. I can't image many tripods having too great a girth to fit this case. And for those with slender tripods like the Slik Sprint Pro, you could wrap a towel around it for a snug fit. I might have done that if I didn't have the video tripod.

Well made case for protecting your tripod from the elements and getting banged around. Excellent value for the price. Highly recommended.
