Some people are complaining that it's too small, but I see it differently. The first time you zip it up it's a bit tight, but that's how it should be. After it "breaks in" it conforms to the shape of the camera and then it zips easily. This case is exactly the right size. I don't like baggy cases that take up more space, and I don't like to store accessories on the inside, anyway. Also this design looks very nice in person.

I bought this case with the camera expecting it to fit since it is made for the Lumix DMC-TS3! I was excited about the color matching the camera, and the material seemed really nice, and it is. Unfortunately, if you have ANYTHING AT ALL attached to the camera (like a cord for a float or a small wrist strap) it will not zip closed. This kind of defeats the purpose of a case to me! Choose a different case unless you like fighting with a too tight case. I would have liked to rate this higher, but since it doesn't really do the job, I returned it. If you have a smaller camera than the one it is made for, it could work for you--it IS a decent case!

very tight on the camera. no room for the cord that is on camera to fit in the case, so it doesnt zip all the way. could be a wee bit bigger.

Honest reviews on rooCASE Super Bubble Neoprene (Orange / Black) Sleeve Case

Got this case to match the orange Panasonic waterproof camera. Both were a gift for my fiance, who loves them both. He said the neoprene is perfect for the camera, especially considering the water aspect. Not a lot of extra space if you wanted to store other things besides the camera, but overall it seems like it will be very protective without adding a lot of extra bulk.

I absolutely love the design of this case. The only issue is that it is so tight that zipping up the case sometimes will turn on the camera. Also, there is not even enough room to put an additional memory card in the case. All things said....fantastic case just needs to be a touch larger.

The hard case is nice protection but makes it difficult to take the camera out in a hurry or put it back in. The zipper is a loop, didn't like.

Plus it's just too big for the tiny Nikon Coolpix.

For me, camera bags always seem to be a compromise. This bag is no exception. I own several Lowepro bags in various designs and sizes and every one of them has some weirdness built in to the design. With this toploader the weirdness is centered around the padded divider that allows an extra lens to be carried underneath the camera. The divider attaches on two sides with Velcro but getting the extra lens out of the bottom of the bag requires ripping the Velcro loose on at least one side to reach down into the bottom of the bag to get the lens out. It might not sound like a big deal but when you have a camera/lens in one hand and have to struggle with the lame Velcro divider with the other hand to get the extra lens out it's an invitation for disaster. And after the lens change you have to reattach the divider to get everything back in order.

My solution was to remove the Velcro stitched in to the bag entirely and toss the divider in the drawer. I keep a couple microfiber towels with me and use them as padding for any lens that might be riding along in the bottom of the bag. The towels work great.

But the bag is roomy, padded to protect my gear, has the excellent rain cover, the large zippered front pocket is perfect, and the smaller zippered pocket inside the top flap has two pockets for CF cards and maybe a filter or two. The shoulder strap is too narrow for extended use. I replaced it with a thickly padded strap from one of my old laptop bags and that makes a huge difference when using the bag for daylong trips to the city. I wish Lowepro would offer better shoulder straps but it's typical of straps used by every vendor I've come across over the years. And the actual color is much more pleasant than what is depicted in the pictures here.

I have to give Lowepro very high marks for quality materials and generally excellent build. And they have one of the best warranties in the business.

I really like this case. The build quality is great, and the color is very nice. I was deciding between this case and one from another brand and the tiebreaker was the all-weather cover on the Lowepro, which I see myself using because I do a lot of outdoor shooting at sporting events. I also bought this at the same time as a 65AW so I could compare them and send one back; the 65AW was too small for my purposes, but read below for sizing info on this case, which I kept.

Sizing: I am using the Zoom 55AW with a Canon 7D body; the body fits perfectly but it would not if you added a battery grip (I do have an Opteka hand strap on it, which fits). I don't own a grip for the 7D but I think you could put it in the bottom, or definitely in the outside pocket of the bag. I also have a Canon Rebel XT, which is smaller (I think the same size as their later models such as the T2i), and it just barely fits with a grip installed. What has me really jazzed about this case is that even with the 7D I can have a relatively short lens on the camera (or my DO zoom lens) and still have room in the bottom of the case to store another relatively short lens. Of course, you could also fit one rather long zoom lens. There is also a surprising amount of room in the outer pocket; it looks slim in the photo but it expands enough that I can fit my Speedlite flash in it, in its own case. The straps on the outside are nice for adding more storage if I ever need it, and in the meantime I've seen people using them to secure a Gorillapod or other accessories to the bag.

One note about the interior: Unlike some of Lowepro's other cases where the entire interior is Velcro so you can move the partition wherever you want, this one only has about a 2-inch strip of it 2/3 of the way down. There's still room for adjustment, but not as much as the other cases.

At the time of this review, Amazon has a ridiculously good price on this blue version of the case if you buy it directly through them; for some reason the black one is more expensive, and even the blue costs more through other vendors. Even at full price, though, this is a great value.

Best Deals for Lowepro Toploader Zoom 55 AW (Sea Blue)

Love the shape and color of this bag. It has great padding and I like the way the camera fits into the bag. It only has the one pocket on the front side. I wish it had side pockets as well. However it is a very streamlined case to use to travel with, which is what I was looking for.

Honest reviews on Lowepro Toploader Zoom 55 AW (Sea Blue)

the bag is large enough to suport longer lense and is sturdy enough to protect my camera while out hiking. I am very happy with this purchase.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Lowepro Toploader Zoom 55 AW (Sea Blue)

Got this bag for my T2i with battery grip and it fits like a glove. The blue color of the bag is darker than the product photo, which is good...it's a very professional blue. The padding is thick and sturdy, just perfect. With the included shoulder strap I can carry the bag very comfortably at my chest for hiking around and taking pictures, which is exactly why I bought it, so I'm happy. I have the camera mounted on a mid-range zoom, a 75-300mm at the bottom and a 50mm tucked in beside the camera (yes there's that much room). In the pocket is a small flash, batteries, filters and tripod mount. There's not enough room for the camera's charger or other accessories, but there could be if I left out other things. So the bag won't hold every piece of equipment, but it's not designed to. It's a perfect hiking bag and it holds just enough. If I wanted to take only this bag on a long trip, I could by leaving a few less necessary items behind. The rain cover and inside card pocket are bonuses. The padded handle feels cheap but works fine. Awesome bag!

Reviews of Case Logic SLRA-6 Medium Tripod Case (Black/Gray)

Case Logic SLRA-6 Medium Tripod Case
Customer Ratings: 4.5 stars

I will vouch for this case. I do a lot of outdoors and travel photography, so a lightweight tripod is a must. This size fits my Slik Sprint Pro tripod perfectly, so you can check the dimensions on that to see if it will fit yours. The interior dimensions listed are on the small side, meaning this will likely fit a bit more than it says it will... which is a good thing.

As for durability, it is incredible. I have not found another tripod bag that will even compete. I have it attached to the side of my LowePro Fastpack 250, and have taken it all over the world basically. Rain, snow, dust, dirt, this thing has been through a lot. A lot of airports too. And it's still going strong. I would say the build is similar to lowepro's better equipment. It'll hold heavier tripods too (i.e. manfrottos), but they must be small enough to fit inside the bag.

The biggest reason this case is so much better than the rest is that it has its own structure. This means that you can pull the tripod out of the bag without having to hold the bag. This means you can also put the tripod back into the bag without having to hold the bag. This is incredibly convenient, especially for those of use that are on the move, and maybe only have a few seconds (and/or just one hand) to pull out a tripod.

I just wanted a bag to help hide my tripod at least a little bit while on the subway or walking the streets and this fits the bill.

The idea was to clip it somehow to my camera bag, a Domke F-7, and this one was easy to attach. There are small strap loops, 2 on each side and 2 on the bottom. There is also an orange bungee cord surrounding the whole thing that I have no idea what is used for. Its gone anyway, I don't care much for safety orange attention grabbers on my gear.

It seems to be made well, everything is reinforced and its lightly padded. Its not great, but what do you expect for a $20 bag?

My Gitzo Traveller with a Manfrotto Hydrostatic Ball Head does not fit in the bag. The head is too big by about 2". What I need to do is take the head off, reverse the legs on the tripod like they're meant to be, throw the tripod and then the head in the bag and everything fits. A little bit of a pain but only takes a few seconds. I did not want a longer bag as this one is almost exactly the same length as my bag. A Benro Traveller tripod fits fine.

I wouldn't trust this to protect an expensive tripod in the cargo hold of an airplane, the sides are too soft and too little padded for that. It will obviously pass carry-on restrictions but it will count as a bag, so depending on what you're carrying, the airline, and the flight attendant that might not be an option. The flipside is that if you just have the tripod strapped to your bag, you might not it get through security or on the plane as they think it would be too easy to grab it and use it as a weapon. In that case it might be better to buy something that is just like a cloth bag that will cover your tripod and strap it onto you camera bag that way.

Overall a good deal. Its almost twice the price on the Case Logic site, and its not nearly as expensive as a lot of bags listed here.

Best Deals for Case Logic SLRA-6 Medium Tripod Case (Black/Gray)

I bought this for my Slik Sprint Pro. But unlike another reviewer with the same tripod, I feel that it is a poor fit. It's not the case's fault. It's just too long and too wide for SS Pro.

That's the problem with buying things over the Internet. You have to go by the pictures and the available reviews. Had I known this case would be much too big (in girth), I would not have purchased it. But then I would have missed out. It's a great fit for my Sony video tripod, which is a little longer than the Slik Sprint Pro and has a much greater girth with the legs folded. I always wanted a more substantial case for that video tripod but didn't want to spend the money because it came with a case (more like a "cover" or slipcase). Carrying the video tripod was an ordeal because its thin cloth case didn't protect the tripod and it wasn't comfortable to carry (no padding).

This case is nicely padded good protection for the tripod against the elements and good protection for me against the tripod.

I haven't figured out what the orange elastic cord is for. There are four "belt loops" that also have no obvious function. I could do without both, but it doesn't bother me to have them there.

Bottom line: Measure the length of your tripod. This case really is 21" long inside. It has a generous diameter. I can't image many tripods having too great a girth to fit this case. And for those with slender tripods like the Slik Sprint Pro, you could wrap a towel around it for a snug fit. I might have done that if I didn't have the video tripod.

Well made case for protecting your tripod from the elements and getting banged around. Excellent value for the price. Highly recommended.

Vanguard Arlen 14Z DSLR Digital Camera Zoom Bag with Tan Leather Trim
Customer Ratings: 3.5 stars

This is an update to the attached review below. Amazon apparently is showing the same camera bag pictures on two different pages. Vanguard makes two bags the 14Z DSLR and the 15Z DSLR, a bigger bag. If your ordering from the 14Z page you are looking at pictures of the 15Z bag, a bigger bag.

It's very well made and nicely padded but, there is little room for camera equipment. My D-Lux 4 point and shoot in its case takes up half of main compartment in the bag with the other half being taken up by my tabletop tripod. The "ONE" external pocket is full with the camera strap, usb cable and battery charger. That leaves the zipped netting compartment on the under side of the lid for a few small items. It comes with shoulder strap and a chest harness. I have to wonder why with all the work that went into making this bag why they made it so small?

Perhpas my fault for not looking at the dimensions more carefully, but this case is far too big for my Lumix DMC-TS25. The camera completely swims in the case, and the case is far too big to fit comfortably in a pocket. Seems pretty sturdy, but I doubt I'll ever use it, as it is an awkward size. Looking for a different (smaller) case.

I recently purchased a Nanuk 925 case with foam and I could not be more pleased. Being that I have been a die hard customer of Pelican for many many years I was very skeptical of what I might be getting myself into. However, after looking at the specs of these cases and style I thought I would give it a try. Well, let me say these cases blow away Pelican. First off the latches are incredibly easy to use and I can open them with one hand. The handle also folds down which I never really thought about until I did it and I was able to fit the case in a storage compartment in my closet. Also the case is simply much better looking. I have invested a lot of energy into making a decent presentation when I show up for a job and these cases just look better and I can stack them! I opted for the case with foam that is basically the same as all the other cases I have ever gotten with foam inserts.

Consider me converted.

I often take my camera out on my boat during the summer months and needed a case that could withstand the water and moisture on a daily bases. While at my local Camera store I ran across the Nanuk cases. You might wonder why I did not go with Pelican, the answer was simple, I broke my nail trying to latch the case. Really! The case has worked out perfect and the latches are a dream.

Best Deals for Nanuk 925 Case with Cubed Foam -Black

I believe this case exceeds its rival Pelican! GREAT price! The whole case is very sturdy and the latches are great! I am using this for camera equipment--a camera body, grip, 3 lenses (including a 70-200mm), and Speedlight. In the 925, if laid out right, you can fit those with plenty of padding. I was lucky to get this on the Black Friday event and paid even less! (LUCKY ME!) I would purchase again though at full price. High recommended!

Honest reviews on Nanuk 925 Case with Cubed Foam -Black

I ran out of room in my Pelican 1510 and I was looking for something to hold my manual focus lenses and other pieces of gear. Pelican cases are expensive and I was looking to do a little better cost wise. I found Nanuk, which I had never heard of before, via the internets.

The Nanuk 925 case is similar to Pelican in features, with a few differences: The latches are of a better design, they will probably save your gear if they open somehow during a fall since they have an extra "safety" on them--even if latch pops, the case won't fall open. The handle folds into a locked position which is nice. Plastic seems softer but not sure if it is weaker. This case does NOT have the metal lock reinforcements like my Pelican. The padded dividers have less padding. The overall "outline" of the dividers is just as thick--sides and bottom--but the individual dividers are thinner. The divider system is much more customizable than the Pelican's due to the fact that the entire bottom has velcro and there are more/different sizes of dividers. However, the dividers, while better, are still not perfect. Two of the long ones only have velcro on one side and thus the case is not as customizable as it could be...

I shoot Pentax and I was able to fit the following gear in the Nanuk 925: Pentax DA 14mm f 2.8 w/hood, Sigma 28mm f1.8 w/hood, Pentax A 28mm f2.8, Pentax FA 35mm f2 w/hood, Pentax FA 50 f1.4, Pentax F 35-70 f3.5-4.5, Pentax DA 18-55 f4-5.6 AL II w/hood, Tamron 28-105 f4-5.6 w/hood, Pentax A 70-210 f4, Metz AF-58 Flash w/case, Pentax 28mm lens hood w/case, Hoya 49mm ND8 filter w/case.

That amount of gear filled the thing and I had two of the small dividers left over. I set it up as seen in the photos except I used the small dividers to sub divide the top right compartment into 3 sections for the 18-55 and 28-105 zooms and the 28mm lens hood and the bottom right section into one long portion for the 70-210 zoom and the hoya filter.

The 925 is about the size of a regular, full-size briefcase in all dimensions. This means you have little depth for larger lenses. In other words, you will have to lay the longer glass on its side. In my configuration all of the short glass was stuck in vertically with the exception of the 70-210 zoom. The flash also was placed on its side. I do not believe you could put a DSLR with grip in this standing up, it would have to lay on its back and thus take up more room. A DSLR without a grip/battery pack (Pentax k100d, k20d) would fit standing up. To compare, the Pelican 1510 is much deeper and you can put some telephotos in it straight up--I have a Takumar 200mm f4 and a Pentax FA 100-300 f4.7 in that case and they fit straight up and down, my k20d DSLR also fits in there with grip straight up as well.

Clearly, Nanuk is just as high quality as the Pelican, with some additional improvements. Their prices seem a bit more reasonable and they have sales--which I never find with Pelican. I like this case, but as always I wish I would have got a bigger one!

This bag is the equivalent of a German car or Swiss watch: no prize winner in the price/value category (it's expensive!) but oh so beautifully engineered and built. There's not a single frill or useless feature. The gear is very well protected but very easy to get at on the fly without having to struggle with straps or buckles. And the thing looks cool--like something a grizzled photojournalist would carry. The tough construction makes it look like it will last through multiple wars (or at least lots of family vacations). My only concern is how long the velcro closures will last, but the flaps themselves should stay down even with less than perfect velcro, and can always be snapped.

After buying based on a web page describption, I was a bit surprised at the smallness of the internal space. It's absolutely perfect for my Nikon D70, a couple of lenses, and the odds and ends that go with it, but if I throw in my backup film Nikon body things get very, very crowded. No way of adding my video camera without taking out the padded insert.

Overall, I love it and believe I made the best possible choice from the plethora of bags available.

I'm not sure if my review made it thru on this bag. As I've said, I've been doing photojournalism for about the last 25 years. I've alway used Domke and wanted a smaller bag. I shoot with the Canon 50D, a battery pack, and normally take my 14-70 L f/4 and my 70-200 L Is f/4. I can fit all of that in the main compartmet. If I want to take my 580 flash, I just put it in on of the side pockets. As usual, Domke satisfies my photo needs.

Best Deals for Domke 700-40A F-4AF Pro System Bag -RuggedWear

If you can get over the price (I think all Domke bags are over priced) it is a great bag. Construction quality is very good (canvas) and there is a ton of room. I basically keep 2 configurations. 1) Gripped 50D, 11-16 2.8 Tokina, Sigma 30mm Prime, 17-50 Tamron, hoods for all lenses, 2x Canon pro flashes, polarizer and ND filter, small accessories and a pop up gray card. There is still room in this configuration for another small lens. Configuration 2) gripped 50D, 30mm prime, 17-50, either a 100-400 /70-200 2.8/ 300mm f4 prime, 1.4x / 2x teleconverter, flash, hood, and some accessories. This configuration is much more cramped but a LOT more convenient than my big Tenba backpack if I'm making a short trip and need long telephotos.

The bag is very roomy and it can hold a lot more stuff than it appears (I was disappointed when I saw its size, but as I was filling it the bag would take more and more stuff). If you are anal about padding you might be disappointed. The only padding is on the inside insert. But I don't have a problem with this. I think most bags over do it on padding and are too bulky because of it. Because of its canvas construction there is a lot of "give" in the bag and it will fit nicely to your hip.

The only problems I have with this bag are 1) I wish it came with the postal shoulder pad (costs about $15 from Amazon)and 2)I don't like how gripped bodies fit in the main compartment. They are very cramped. My 30mm prime + gripped body will fit fine but bigger lens will require the lens and body to be positioned vertically with body facing up. Of course if you remove the lens from body then it is fine but that seems impractical to me if I'm walking and shooting.

Basically this is a great working bag. If you need small and comfortable with storage for 2 or 3 lens and accessories this is a great bag. If you need more storage look elsewhere. I have used it for family outings, trips to the zoo, walking around town and small real estate shoots and it works great.

Honest reviews on Domke 700-40A F-4AF Pro System Bag -RuggedWear

I have gone through several bags for my camera gear and this is the one I have used the most. It is tough, simple, easy in-and-out, and adequate for most of the equipment used everyday. Cannot pack my 70-200 Nikkor in it, the lens is too tall, but one body, two lenses (one on the body)and a flash fill it up. Side pockets for small stuff and a pouch for papers. Well padded too. I have drug this through Greece, Italy, the Baltic and all around town. Shows no damage, tears, or strains. A simple, strong gear bag. I'll keep this one!

This bag is perfect for me. I shoot with a Canon 5D and a set of 'L' primes, and typically my F-4 takes the camera with lens mounted in the main section, with a flashgun in one of the smaller sections, as well as 1-2 lenses. The external pockets take off-camera flash cord, waterproof jacket, etc. It's a wonderfully discreet bag anything larger you'd want to move to something more along the lines of a waistpack, proper backpack or roller bag to save your shoulders.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I took this bag on vacation with me. It holds my Canon DSLR with my extra lens. It is nicely padded and has a great padded separator included. My camera, in this bag, got tossed into a large tote and thrown around in the car with no problems. The camera survived getting dropped from a height of about 5 feet onto the ground in the case with no problems at all. It holds all my extra batteries and lens covers and I still had room for a few extras so I didn't always have to carry my purse. All in all this is a great bag. I would have given it 5 stars but it has a right shoulder orientation and I usually carry it on the left so the buckle was often against my body. I would recommend this for most camera enthusiasts. It is lightweight, durable and a great size.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is an okay combo bag and was able to carry a very simple SLR set, and some of your essentials too. The material is light weight and I really like the color of the bag. The strap is wide and comfortable to wear on your shoulder or cross body. This is not a unisex bag, it looks more like a sporty purse and will not carry larger more expensive SLR sets, there will be no room or protection for all the accessories and equipment. It you want a great sporty purse this is your bag, but it's not a great camera bag.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I used this bag with my Nikon DSLR and two lenses. The padding, which is only in the center of the bag, works well at cushioning the camera but there is little to protect the lenses on either side. I like that there is a couple of zippered pockets for cards and keys. It doubled as my purse on vacation. However, the strap is so wide, it's difficult to keep on my shoulder. I have to loop it cross-wise over my neck and that's not comfortable. Overall, it worked all right for me, but I wouldn't use it for rougher situations. There's just not enough cushioning.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I love this bag. I've been looking at more expensive bags, that look more like purses, but just haven't wanted to spend the money.

When I received this bag, the Lowepro Photo Sport shoulder bag, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. The purple/plum color is very nice, a good inconspicuous color! The strap is comfortable and adjustable. The side pocket holds quite a bit, I use it for my charging cords when vacationing, such as phone, kindle, etc.

The inside of the bag is very roomy, there is a velcro strip on the bottom inside which I use for my camera charger, and a nice removable pouch that has an insert/separator. I am able to fit my camera, an Olympus e410 and 3 lenses in it perfectly, along with my purse items.

I recently took the bag on vacation, and was very happy with it. No digging into my shoulder and it looks much nicer than my old bag.

The workmanship seems good, I think this bag will hold up quite nicely.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This "camera bag" looks and feels like a sport purse with a camera insert inside. The insert is small and is more made for a mirrorless system or micro 4/3. In any case, the insert offers little protection as it moves around a fair bit in the main part of the bag and would knock up against all your other stuff. My preference in camera bags is for tight secure fit. Organizing options are limited, with two outer zippered pockets and an interior mesh pocket, none of which have any organizing potential so your stuff is just in there loose. There is also a pocket for a water bottle, but it does not look waterproof, so condensation could be a problem for your gear! The color is fairly ugly purplish grey (more grey), so even style wise it is pretty darn ugly.

I ordered this case for my EP2 and it fits perfectly. The quality is pretty good. It has a nice inner pocket that can store SD cards and a lens cloth. The outer pocket is a little larger, useful for a small lens brush and battery. Only thing that could be better is the strap that is supplied is not very good. It is stiff and uncomfortable. I put another Canon strap I had on the case and it works much better.

The DVD supplied with the case is very helpful and well done.

It is very compact, which is why I like it.

I bought two of these bags one for office, and one for myself, and I am using it for both EPL-1 and EPL-2 cameras.

To people who claim that this bag is very tight for their PEN cameras: since lens is positioned closer to one side of the camera, make sure that that side is always closer to the lid, and you will never again say that the camera bag is tight!

I got a lot out of the instructional DVD that came with the case. I'd give the video 4 stars.

The case itself however was just too small for my needs. I gave it to Salvation Army and my sister bought me a camera case by CaseLogic that holds extra batteries and cards and cables. It has 2 zipper pockets on the outside and one on the inside.

It works better for me than just trying to cram my PEN E-PL2 with strap inside this one.

I wanted something protective for my new camera, the Pen 2. This case works fine, you just have to put the camera in sideways. Yes, it is cheap-o & knockoff, but it's doing the job. I will probably cut the embroidary stitches off, but otherwise it's doing everything I wanted it to do. Which is to hold my camera securely.

At frost I was completely annoyed when my camera did not fit in, however after a few blocks were inserted and removed over the course if a week, the camera fit in just fine.

Only thing is I wish the flap opened towards you when it's holstered, as it is it's a bit awkward to take the camera in and out when you have it on your waist..
