As the rooCase for my iPad fit perfectly, I ordered this rooCase for my Panasonic DMC-ZS20 and was extremely disappointed when it! turned out to be too small for the camera!! I couldn't even close the zipper with the camera inside. It may be suitable for other models of the Panasonic but it certainly is too small for the ZS20. The heading says it all. The interior bubble construction and tight fit provides shock protection for the contents. There is a side pocket to put an extra SD card or maybe even a flat battery. The exterior neoprene surface appears water repellent. It comes in a variety of bright colors. I actually purchased two, one for each of my small digital cameras, a Sony Cyber Shot WX150 and a Panasonic DMC-SZ1. Both fit perfectly.

The bag is nicely designed and supposedly manufactured for the E-Volt system. It just about holds my E-Volt 520 with the lens detached from the camera in its own pouch. The flash just about squeezes in. If you are in a hurry to operationalize your camera, this is not the bag for you. Everything has to be attached prior to recording images. I just received it today and it looks good, very small, which is what I wanted. It fits my T2i with the kit lens only. I have a 55-250mm lens as well and I wanted to see if maybe it would fit in the bag while on the camera. Nope. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but just know that if you had the same question, there's your answer. It really doesn't look like a camera bag, more like a purse. My co-worker said it looked like a little lunch box. It's built ok, perhaps not as sturdy as my other bags, but I suppose that's due to it's size. Obviously it isn't built to go on wild adventures. But it seems like it'll be great for walking around the town taking photos. The side pocket is perfect for my wallet (I carry a very, very, small wallet), passport, lens cloth, and my extra memory cards. I haven't used it yet, but once I do at the end of this month, I'll update my review as to how useful it was while out of town.

My only complaint is that it smells weird. I don't know if it's the material of the bag itself or the material of the bag it came inside of, but either way I'll let it air out before I use it. It's pretty strong when I open the bag..that's the reason for the 4 stars, but I don't know if it's just my bag or maybe because of the shipper. If the smell doesn't go away before I have to leave, I will definitely return it and use one that I already have. I have a very sensitive sense of smell.

Well I really researched camera bags, and I narrowed down to the rounded Built neoprene one and this one and ordered both to choose. Each had its pros and cons, but this one won out, and now after using it a while, I'm SO happy I picked it. The size is one issue it's really small smaller than I even expected when I ordered it couldn't be smaller and fit a DSLR camera I think, and that is a huge plus for me since I have to carry it all over for work. I actually wish it was maybe one inch wider on the accessories side so my wallet could fit in. I wear it cross body and it's very light and comfortable even though I cut off the padded part on the strap because I really didn't care for it though I find the rest of the bag pretty decent aesthetically. The little handle on top is very nice and I find myself grabbing it more often than you'd think. The camera rests in the camera side very nicely and fits in fine even with the strap on. I can carry my USB cord and a few tiny accessories in the other half, but that's really it. It does have pretty nice pockets on that side that hold the accessories tight and provide easy access. I also really like the hardware connecting the strap to the case well made and attractive it rotates and swivels so the strap never tangles. The whole thing feels secure. The only quality the rounded Built bag had over this one aside from more room inside I think is the more ergonomic shape so when you wear it strapped cross-body, the rounded bag fits right into your waist and more flat against your body. It's also kind of cute in a new design way. But the inside design in my opinion was a mess. So I chose this one and the boxiness isn't really so bad because it's very small overall.

Ok, I used this bag for quite a while now, so with that said I the first positive about this small bag is that it's very durable and it looks just like it did the first day that I used it. I purchased this bag when I first bought my Canon T3i which I used with its starting kit. With just the Camera its self and the basic 18-55 mm lens that are the stock lens for most DSLR cameras then this is a great case that is a must have to protect and carry all the necessary accessories for it. On the camera pocket there is enough room for your DSLR and its 18-55 mm lens. Note that the lens must be attached onto the camera in order to fit in the bag. If you are trying to fit it in the pocket separated than it is not going to fit, they must be attached. In the accessories pocket I managed to keep 4 extra batteries, an SD card, the charger and the charging cord. Both pockets are very well made and it really takes advantage of all the space the bag is using up. With all this said, if you have more accessories than this, they won't fit into this bag. An example would be if you had a telephoto lens such as a 70-300 mm lens it will definitely NOT fit into this bag. It is simply to small for that and it wasn't intended to carry it. It was made to carry your basic short distance lens such as the stock lens or a 50mm lens. It also won't fit most speedlites. They are just to bulky and too big to fit in this bag. This isn't a bad thing, but it's just good to know what fits in this bag and what doesn't. I am surprised as far as how much this bag can actually hold though, it is very small and portable, yet it holds enough for the average photographer. Now as far as appearances most people will say that it looks like a small lunchbox. Well this isn't necessarily a bad thing. You don't want people knowing that you have an expensive DSLR in the bag now do you? That will only attract attention and make it easier for you to get robbed. So that is the good thing about this bag, it's discreet. With that said I really don't have any negatives about this bag. It's perfect and is great for your necessary supplies. If you have more accessories and you are planning to carry them all around then I would recommend buying a bigger bag. I rate this product 5 stars out of 5 stars.

This is perfect for my Canon EOS Rebel T2i 18 MP CMOS APS-C Sensor DIGIC 4 Image Processor Full-HD Movie Mode Digital SLR Camera with 3.0-inch LCD and and EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens. The camera with the 18-55mm lens attached slips right in as pictured, and it's easy to pull out and snap a few shots on the fly. The back pocket easily fits the lens caps, spare battery, and SD cards. Seems like it might be a tight fit with the battery charger, but I haven't tried.

I was slightly concerned about the smell reported by other reviewers, but figured I'd give it a shot. I don't have a very sensitive sense of smell, so discerning noses may still want to proceed with caution. But I did take a good sniff when it arrived and couldn't pick anything up, and I've never noticed anything since.

Best of all, it's a simple and low profile little bag, rather than a bulky piece of cargo that screams "Hey robbers, I'm carrying an expensive camera! If you get a minute, you should totally come and assault me!"

Ok, so you may be wondering whether it is worth it to go with a knockoff right? I mean it's normally not a good idea, but I have to say this camera bag is an exception to the rule!

SIZE:

Don't let the size fool you when you get it. I manage to fit a TLR, SLR with stock lens, two zooms and a macro zoom lens, a flash, extra film and memory cards, filters and batteries! It's kinda of like the Toyota Prius of bags it looks small but looks, in this case, are deceiving.

QUALITY:

I have literally travelled all over the world with this camera bag over the past 6 months, and I have no complaints. No zippers are coming undone, nothing is getting worn out and the fabric is very durable. I once dropped the bag from a decent height while hiking and even my 50mm 1.8 (notoriously fragile) was totally fine. The straps are made out of comfortable material that breathes quite well, and I am even able to hang heavy DSLR holsters with cameras off of the side with climbing clips, and not a stitch has moved!

My friend who is also a photographer bought the Lowepro version of this, while myself and another friend bought the OnePolar model. We compared them side by side and the difference between the two is limited to aesthetics. I can't see any real difference in quality or function.

VALUE:

I paid 45 bucks for mine at the beginning of this year, and even though the price has dropped $20 I am not dissatisfied. I would even pay the 45 dollars again, happily. It's still a third of the price of the Lowepro and worth it.

OVERALL:

A resounding yes. This is $25 VERY well spent and you will not be unhappy! While I normally like to stick to name brands, OnePolar really has taken the cake on this one.

So it had been over a year, and I can report NO problems at all! This bag still serves me well and has been through the wringer a few times! Still TOTALLY recommend this bag!

This bag appears to be a well made Chinese (Onepolar) knock-off of the Lowepro Slingshot 100AW. Overall, it is very similar with the following exceptions: no microfiber LCD cloth included (pouch is there, just no cloth), zipper pull cords are red/white striped in color vs all black, zipper pull cord end tab shape slightly larger and more angular vs smaller teardrop shape, all buckles are very very similar but not exactly identical, accent fabric panel color is almost black vs silver gray, and of course it's missing all the Lowepro sewn-in logo's. Materials and workmanship were generally very similar to identical.

One quality difference worth noting was the adjustable insert panels. These foam rubber/cloth covered removable walls seem a little thinner and more flexible. The foam was also slightly undersized meaning it didn't completely fill the cloth cover volume from end-to-end making them less able to maintain a rigid shape to the compartments they form. The other difference was with the straps that prevent the main compartment door from opening too far so the camera won't fall out by accident. They work fine, but are a bit longer than on the Lowepro so they don't lay as flat against the pack as they should when closed.

So in the end while this bag has a few compromises, it is very comparable to the Lowepro. Side-by-side you can tell a difference, but I'd estimate they're 80-90% similar.

The 100AW is the smaller version of the 200AW. For me, holds a D90, an extra lens (rooms for 2), flash, compact digital camera, and a horde of accessories. Plus, it is very lean and smallish in size, i.e., perfect for travel or going about town. The quality is better than I expected [for such a reasonable price] and the sling approach is nice. I found out about the rain protector by reading another review...very cool! Last, it has a number of well-engineered side pockets and internal pockets to insert memory cards, lens cloths, you name it. 5/5 overall and you get a lot for a low, low price.

LOVE it.

MORE PADDED than I had expected, and more padded than any other camera bags I've ever owned. There are many more compartments than you can see in the given product photos. Beautifully made and super duper padded, there is thick padding on every side and every space! Also the rain cover is attached to the camera, which is just so great. It just pulls out of the bottom compartment to cover the entire bag, without it becoming detached from it's compartment. So neat!!

I have FINALLY found a camera case that fits everything SAFELY -it's for my Nikon D40, plus 3 lenses (18-55mm, 55-200mm, and mini 10x macro lens) plus extra battery, cables, etc. -And the padded velcro separators on the interior main zippered compartment are removable and adjustable so you can have them fit snuggly around your lenses and camera, so you can arrange them however you'd like!

This camera bag also has a separate compartment which I'll use for my keys, iPhone, etc. This has become my new everyday bag!! An excellent purchase, and a bargain too at this price. This camera bag is amazing!! My hubbs gets lots of cool points for ordering this for me for XMAS!!! :D

I have had this bag for about a month now and I love it. I am 6'4 and it fits me pretty well. I have a Nikon d5000 with a 35mm, 55-200mm and a 18-105mm lens. Everything fits great. I went back and forth between the this and the Lowepro 100AW. I couldn't justify spending more on something that was just about the same. The quality of the back pack is great. I am still breaking it in and figuring out what works best but having the ability to swing it around to pull it out or put it away is great. Adjusting it is quick and easy if my wife wants to carry and use the bag. The features are great, like the rain guard and pockets. I highly recommend this product.

The only drawback to the case is the color. I ended up with pink because that was the only color available at the clearance price. I've used the case for over month, and it's hard shell design has protected my camera beautifully throughout 4 trips. Gave it to my grandaughter along with a Panasonic Lumix FH6. It fits nicely, easy to get out, and the colors are an exact match. That was a nice surprise bonus because online the colors look nothing alike. I'm glad I did not find one that looked more the same color as the camera because I would have bought it and missed this little treasure.

The belt loop and the ring are great. They are her favorite features, plus the ease of removing the camera without risk of dropping it with the limited (but very adequate) hinge opening at the top. We can't say enough about how much we like this. 6 stars if possible. This thing is almost weightless (compared to others) and very tough, hard shell, and the finish is very high quality. The picture does not do it justice.

I was looking for a case that's light and has a side pocket for an SD card. I own a Canon Elph 300 hs camera. This case is light and much bigger than my camera and having said that, it is loose in the inside. The inside stitching where they joined the dobby nylon is bulky and rough it wouldn't be a problem had they lined the inside with a cloth or anything soft so that it doesn't scratch the surface the camera. I thought this was what I was looking for. Sorry. Now, I am thinking of purchasing a screen protector for my camera's screen viewer.

I bought this for a panasonic point and shoot camera. I love the hot pink color. I also like the secure latch. This holds my camera nicely wihtout added bulk. You can also store extra memory cards in it.

For me, camera bags always seem to be a compromise. This bag is no exception. I own several Lowepro bags in various designs and sizes and every one of them has some weirdness built in to the design. With this toploader the weirdness is centered around the padded divider that allows an extra lens to be carried underneath the camera. The divider attaches on two sides with Velcro but getting the extra lens out of the bottom of the bag requires ripping the Velcro loose on at least one side to reach down into the bottom of the bag to get the lens out. It might not sound like a big deal but when you have a camera/lens in one hand and have to struggle with the lame Velcro divider with the other hand to get the extra lens out it's an invitation for disaster. And after the lens change you have to reattach the divider to get everything back in order.

My solution was to remove the Velcro stitched in to the bag entirely and toss the divider in the drawer. I keep a couple microfiber towels with me and use them as padding for any lens that might be riding along in the bottom of the bag. The towels work great.

But the bag is roomy, padded to protect my gear, has the excellent rain cover, the large zippered front pocket is perfect, and the smaller zippered pocket inside the top flap has two pockets for CF cards and maybe a filter or two. The shoulder strap is too narrow for extended use. I replaced it with a thickly padded strap from one of my old laptop bags and that makes a huge difference when using the bag for daylong trips to the city. I wish Lowepro would offer better shoulder straps but it's typical of straps used by every vendor I've come across over the years. And the actual color is much more pleasant than what is depicted in the pictures here.

I have to give Lowepro very high marks for quality materials and generally excellent build. And they have one of the best warranties in the business.

I really like this case. The build quality is great, and the color is very nice. I was deciding between this case and one from another brand and the tiebreaker was the all-weather cover on the Lowepro, which I see myself using because I do a lot of outdoor shooting at sporting events. I also bought this at the same time as a 65AW so I could compare them and send one back; the 65AW was too small for my purposes, but read below for sizing info on this case, which I kept.

Sizing: I am using the Zoom 55AW with a Canon 7D body; the body fits perfectly but it would not if you added a battery grip (I do have an Opteka hand strap on it, which fits). I don't own a grip for the 7D but I think you could put it in the bottom, or definitely in the outside pocket of the bag. I also have a Canon Rebel XT, which is smaller (I think the same size as their later models such as the T2i), and it just barely fits with a grip installed. What has me really jazzed about this case is that even with the 7D I can have a relatively short lens on the camera (or my DO zoom lens) and still have room in the bottom of the case to store another relatively short lens. Of course, you could also fit one rather long zoom lens. There is also a surprising amount of room in the outer pocket; it looks slim in the photo but it expands enough that I can fit my Speedlite flash in it, in its own case. The straps on the outside are nice for adding more storage if I ever need it, and in the meantime I've seen people using them to secure a Gorillapod or other accessories to the bag.

One note about the interior: Unlike some of Lowepro's other cases where the entire interior is Velcro so you can move the partition wherever you want, this one only has about a 2-inch strip of it 2/3 of the way down. There's still room for adjustment, but not as much as the other cases.

At the time of this review, Amazon has a ridiculously good price on this blue version of the case if you buy it directly through them; for some reason the black one is more expensive, and even the blue costs more through other vendors. Even at full price, though, this is a great value.

Got this bag for my T2i with battery grip and it fits like a glove. The blue color of the bag is darker than the product photo, which is good...it's a very professional blue. The padding is thick and sturdy, just perfect. With the included shoulder strap I can carry the bag very comfortably at my chest for hiking around and taking pictures, which is exactly why I bought it, so I'm happy. I have the camera mounted on a mid-range zoom, a 75-300mm at the bottom and a 50mm tucked in beside the camera (yes there's that much room). In the pocket is a small flash, batteries, filters and tripod mount. There's not enough room for the camera's charger or other accessories, but there could be if I left out other things. So the bag won't hold every piece of equipment, but it's not designed to. It's a perfect hiking bag and it holds just enough. If I wanted to take only this bag on a long trip, I could by leaving a few less necessary items behind. The rain cover and inside card pocket are bonuses. The padded handle feels cheap but works fine. Awesome bag!

Lowepro is known for quality camera bags, and this one is no exception. You can fit a lot of stuff into this bag, even though it's only medium sized. I have a Panasonic GS320 camcorder in the left compartment, 3 extra batteries and the charger for my still camera in the middle section (which I made very narrow using the velcro separators) and a Panasonic FZ35 still camera (sub-SLR superzoom, so still pretty big) in the right compartment. The two small pockets in the top inside hold multiple SDHC cards. The zipper pocket at that same location holds extra still camera batteries. The zipper compartment in the lid flap, accessible from the outside, holds 2 mini-DV tapes. The zipper compartment on the front of the bag holds 4 more mini-DV tapes. There are elastic pouches on both sides that hold water bottles, or cords, or miscellaneous other stuff. A flat zippered pocket on the back of the case is big enough for a full sized DVD, or anything else that is pretty flat.

If you need this for just a superzoom like the Canon 10IS or 20IS, or Panasonic FZ28 or FZ35, or similar sized camera, you'll have a lot of extra room. You might do better to size down to the 140 AW instead.

The handle is SO comfortable, even when the bag is heavy with gear. The shoulder strap is detachable and has a grippy, padded section. The zipper on the inside top of the case (where I keep my extra batteries) is covered with elastic at the corner, so as not to scratch your camera when you close the top, and there's a pull on the zipper so you can get to it when it's underneath there. Just one of many examples of very thoughtful design. The bag closes either with a zipper around the top or a strong clasp. I usually use just the clasp.

You will also find a hidden weather bag in a velcro'd compartment on the front of the bag, underneath-side. Haven't used that yet, but it's a nice feature if you're out in the rain.

This thing works for a DSLR as others have said, or as in my case, multiple cameras so that I'm ready for videos or stills wherever I am. I also have a small Lowepro Nova Micro AW bag when I only need one or the other of my cameras.

Note that the "Chestnut Brown" color really is brown, not the whacky greenish vomit color they picture on Amazon. I've posted a picture. Ü

This is a great bagfits my canon rebel and has room for an extra lens. I bought it for two reasons. One: it wasn't huge like most camera bags for larger cameras seem to be, and two: it has a covering attached to it that is waterproof so I don't have to worry about whether it will start to rain while I am in the middle of the woods. I have been wearing it daily for 3 mile hikes and it is fairly comfortable although it squeaks while I walk (haven't figured out how to get that to stop, but mustn't be too loud because I came up quite close to a deer the other day before he heard me). It fits my small stainless steel waterbottle in the side pocket and has enough little compartments for things you might need when using a larger camera.

My only complaint is I can't angle the camera in the bag so I can grab it out easily when I come across something I want to photograph. Just a minor thing like the squeakused to being able to reach in and grab it by the side grip and not have to flip it right side up.

All in all I hated to spend so much on a camera bag, but I think it was worth the cost.

Oh, I bought the chestnut brown which looks a bit green in the photoas other people have said it is a light tan/brown color not the green when you get it.

Couldn't be happier with this bag. The photo in the Amazon add makes it appear green, but it's really a very nice brown. anyway, it's good quality, holds everything I need (I'm a video producer for the Air Force, but not a photographer, so I'm limited on what I need for my home photo needs). So this holds my K2000, extra lens, flash unit and all the little things I need for it -SDHD cards, spare batteries, etc. This bag won't hold much more than that, but it holds this much very well. Haven't used the weather-protection cover yet. My son recently purchased a Canon camera as well, and I recommended going with a Lowepro bag.

It's actually a very nice tannish-bronze color. Good looking bag, just a bit small.

I gave this as a gift to go with a new Panasonic DMC G2. The first bag we tried was a Kata KT DC-437, but that one was just a little too small for this camera along with the cords, lens hood, a flash and/or additional lens. This one holds all of that comfortably.

This bag looks and feels sturdy and well made. She's had other Lowepro bags over the years and never had any problems with them. The best thing for her is that it holds everything she needs it to hold, it's sturdy and well designed, and it's light weight. She got the camera because her Canon Rebel XSi and 18-200 lens were getting too heavy for her, so she needs a lighter weight bag to go with the smaller, lighter camera.

She wanted the brown bag and we both like the color. It's a nice medium brown color with some olive trim at the top. She liked the other brands of bags that have yellow interiors (Kata and Ape) so that the camera and equipment are easier to see, but this one has light gray inside, so visibility is fine.

A small difficulty is that the extra Panasonic battery doesn't fit comfortably into the designated pocket for the battery on the inside top of the bag, it's a little tight. That is not important however, since there is another zippered compartment behind the battery and memory card pockets. That extra compartment in the top of the bag was a huge selling point for her.

The bag could use two side pockets that close to hold more little gadgets instead of the mesh one that this bag has, but for its size, this bag has more pockets and storage compartments than any of the others she looked at.

This should be a 4 1/2 star bag, it's very nice, and well suited to her needs. She loves it, and she says she would recommend it.

This is a fine inexpensive camera bag. It will serve well for the average pix taker. One of the nice aspects is that the internal divider is removable or can be relocated with ease. The 7 pockets seem to be enough for most needs. Good deal and, yes it does fit mu Fuji S4200 just fine.

This is a good solution for those of us that often carry a camera and do not always need to carry the big dedicated bag. This insert is a nice fit in a larger handbag. It is padded and makes it easy to keep a small DSLR with medium length lens and maybe a flash, safe. It makes loading and unloading simple. I did not give it 5 stars because it lacks a top cover/flap to completely close the unit. Because my equipment often lives in these inserts a cover to eliminate dust and whatever while on the shelf or in a bag shared with other stuff is important to me. So is water resistancy and drizzle protection. The material may be in the "good enough" department as far as water resistancy, but without a top flap it would fail. This insert will work perfectly for many people. To contain and protect a camera or other small electronics in that bag you already have it is a very economical solution.

There's a padded adjustable divider with Velcro that attaches to either side of the insert. This insert works well for a standard DSLR with a lens attached, plus one additional lens. My DSLR snuggles down into one side, leaving room for the extra stuff (lens, battery charger, flash, strap, etc) on the other. At the beach I hide my gear in a small cooler tote. Besides this being a great price I really have made a great choice. My Samsung Camera fits in this case perfectly. It has two zippers on either side to make it easy to place the camera inside. Than the black flap folds over and you have a short handle. Good choice. I give it a 4 1/2 star rating.

Strengths: The pack has nice room and padding for an SLR and a lens.

The great thing about a chest pack is the ability to also carry a backpack at the same time and the easy access of the SLR because it stored right on your chest. In that regard, this design is a winner.

Weaknesses: The lower straps from the back harness have female ends who's straps are not adjustable. The adjustable male ends are on the lower part of the pack itself. This means that you have to reach the opposite arm across your chest and around the pack with the male end and hold the female to anchor it while pushing the male end into it. If you have a large chest it is difficult.

I was hoping that a chest pack built by Mountainsmith would be good for someone who wants to carry an SLR backcountry. The Descent AT hangs somewhat loosely off the chest so it swings when skiing or mountain biking and it bounces somewhat when hiking at a brisk pace. Even with the shoulder straps cinched as tight as they can be.

The looseness of the pack causes the top of the back harness rides up on the back of the neck. With a camera and two lenses (one large), this creates a sore neck. I workout regularly and I still find myself holding an arm under the pack to relieve my neck.

It seems to me that a strap that encircles the upper part of the rib cage would hold the pack close to solve the swinging problem and reduce the amount of weight on the back of the neck.

If the lens is long it and the camera in the the camera will hang over the second lens. My camera now has a rub mark on it. This is not one of the flaws I am referring to in the first paragraph, given what I'm trying to stuff into a chest pack, it makes sense.

This chest pack is a good start but it has a couple of design flaws that I've reported to Moutainsmith (but the response was the equivalent of a polite smile).

Note: While Mountainsmith makes a backpack for this chest pack, it is strictly for camera equipment. For people who want to spend time outdoors, want the quality of an SLR and need to carry more than camera equipment, that won't do. I would think there is a market for people who want both.

Bottom Line:

Mountainsmith should get credit for creating a chest pack with room for an SLR and a lens. It makes a lot of sense. If you want to carry a backpack and have quick access to your camera and a spare lens , there isn't much else out there. If you can live with the neck pain on long outings, this is the best choice right now.

The Descent AT bag is an excellent companion piece for any photographer / hiking enthusiast. Essentially able to hold a single DSLR body (with lens attached), a telephoto lens, and a small amount of miscellaneous items, the storage capacity of this bag is not such that it can be used independently of a day-pack for longer hikes. However, Mountainsmith's design allows it to be used nearly seamlessly with almost any day-pack backpack on the market, making the Descent AT a great way of shifting essential camera equipment away from your back and onto your chest where it is easily accessible.

Having used the Descent AT for nearly a year, it has become a regular part of my hiking kit. As a testament to the quality construction, the exterior material is incredibly abuse resistant, zippers and seams holding strong, and the harness components remaining equally as durable. The key component to getting the most out of this bag is to ensure that it is adjusted properly. If there is one fault of the Descent AT, its that it hangs loose on the top of the bag, with the shoulder harness components being to long for a truly tight fit for an average adult. However, that said, the Descent AT remains comfortable for long periods of wear.

Overall the Descent AT is a great camera bag for essential camera equipment during any wilderness excursion.

Initial impressions: when I got the bag, I noticed immediately that it is a good, sturdy product like I've come to expect from Mountainsmith. Very happy with that. The bag has a harness-type system that supposedly ties in with a few Mountainsmith bags, but also can work as a standalone. As you should already know if you've gotten this far, this is a chest bag. That makes it good for quick camera access on the move, such as while hiking. I intend to use it for wildlife photography while in the backcountry.

Size and capacity: this bag will just barely accommodate my Canon 7D, a 28-135mm lens, my Sigma 170-500mm Telephoto, and a 2x teleconverter. It is a very tight fit. A telephoto lens any larger would definitely not fit at all. It also has a side pocket for something small and a front zippered flap that I'm using for my field notebook, pens, pencials, SD cards, etc.

All in all I'm happy with it. It carries comfortably, and carries a lot in a little package. More to follow after a five-day backcountry adventure next week!
