I purchased this for use on an upcoming trip. Needed something that was airline carry-on safe, but would still hold the equipment I needed to bring. The description said I could put a DSLR with or without battery grip and a 70-200 attached. Not going to happen. There is not nearly enough height (depth) to the bag to hold a camera with battery grip.... then trying to insert a laptop with the camera way too tight; I was fearful for the laptop with the pressure on it.

Other than that, when I put a non-grip DSLR in, all I could use was the 24-70; a 70-200 still wouldn't fit. It could be stored in the compartment on the side, but that doesn't have any adjustable dividers to hold it in place. There is not attachment area.... I guess some duck tape would do the trick.

Well, it is being returned .... had to fork out an extra $100 to get one that really would do what it said.

Still, a nice bag overall.

A great gear backpack that packs in my Nikon D60 with 55-200mm lens and battery grip attached, Nikon SB-600 Flash, Nikkor Lens 18-55mm and 50mm, Giottos Air Blaster, other accessories like filters, batteries, charger, Maglite, grey card, SD cards, BlackRapid Strap Sport, cables and Acer Aspire One netbook with more room to spare. Also attached outside the bag is my Manfrotto MK394-PQ tripod. It's made out of durable ballistic nylon material. Comfortable straps.

But why only four stars? It's because, unlike other camera bags, some dividers are fixed. So you can't re-calibrate dividers freely according to your needs. The bag has no quick access for your camera, you have to open the entire backside to access your camera unless you put your camera with lens in the top compartment with easy access which is a tight squeeze.

Nevertheless, this bag is worth recommending to a friend looking for a durable camera bag!

I just got my bag a day early and it is great. It was a tight squeeze for my tripod on the inside. Everything else fitted great: my Canon T1i, my external flash, my telephoto lens, my portfolio and my notebook.

The interchangeable Velcro parts were a nice touch.

It is roomy, handsome and feels good on my back.

I would recommend this to my friends.

Honest reviews on Manfrotto MB SB390-5BB VELOCE V Backpack -Black

Pros: Plenty of room for a DSLR camera with a couple of lenses and accessories such as Laptop, Battery charger, microphone, led light and mini tripod. Adjustable compartments attached with Velcro.

Cons: the bottom part do not have any rubber or reinforcement material, so when you place it on the floor is suitable to wear and tear. The straps are not as ergonomic enough. Side pockets too small

I rec'd this bag today, but it is not the same as pictured nor is it the same as the ones I saw in best buy or in camera shops. Instead of having all the fabric in the front that make up the "M"' , it is just flat surface and the "m" part is just a padded surface with some stitches outlining it.
