This cover is too small for the Canon Rebel XSI (with kit lens). Also, the velcro strips stick to everything, including the neoprene/fabric. Mine came with part of the fabric torn off. I returned it right after I received it.

Buy this for your SLR. I'm very happy with it.

I'm happy with the Zing as it protects my Canon Eos 450 from the slight knocks and dings. I gave it a 4/5 because the design cold have been slightly better (read below).

Pros:

It protects your expensive investment. It's flexible enough that you can easily pull it off for that quick photo. Will protect it from light rains and slight bumps.

Cons:

When the cover hangs off while you're taking photos, it can sometimes obstruct the standard issue lens if one doesn't hold the cover back behind the view of the lens (a slight annoyance). Also, the bottom piece wraps the base of the camera (this product is a two piece cover) and covers some of the buttons and the bottom of the screen. This is only a slight annoyance as the material is flexible enough that you can maneuver it out of the way enough to operate the playback and delete those unwanted photos (particular to the Canon Eos 450).

Bought this for the Canon SX20IS. I also purhased the Canon PSC-4000. I also have a lensmate 58mm lens adapter, and a canon 58mm UV filter on all the time. I quickly found out that the camera WILL NOT fit into the PSC-4000. Because of this I will not be keeping the PSC-400 case. Although I think overall quality and design of the PSC-400 is pretty good it just was not compatible with my Lensmate adapter, and Filter stack.

The Zing does have some drawbacks. First off, it is meant to be used with the camera straps through the holes on the Zing back section/cover. However, for the Canon SX20, I mostly use the LCD screen to take pictures and the back part of the ZIng obstructs the view. It is meant to be used if you use only the view finder to take pictures and prefer leaving the case attached to the camera straps. So I ended up not attaching it through the strap loops on the Zing, so I can completely remove the camera. The good thing is that since it's neoprene I can stuff it into a jacket pocket or my suit jacket pocket when I remove the camera. Obviously you can't do this with the leather clad PSC-4000.

The other frustrating part of the Zing is that putting the camera back into the case takes some technique and getting used to. Since the Zing is in 2 parts, a back section and the front section velcroed together; one must first seat the camera into the back part and THEN slip into the front part.

I couldn't figure this out at first, but once I got the technique down it was pretty simple. Remember I didn't attach the camera through the loops, this made it alot less cumbersome to remove and replace into the Zing.

This may not be important to you, but the PSC-400 looks kind of like a purse when you have it hanging on your shoulder. The Zing forms into the camera shape so it doesn't look like a purse or a fanny pack.

MY vedict, ZING Eveready for the Canon SX20IS. Check out some of the pictures I posted as a reference. thanks!

Honest reviews on Zing 550-011 UBK1 Standard Eveready (Black)

I love the material and style, but for my Canon Rebel XSI the case is almost a little bit too small (even though you can stretch it and try to fit it).The case bottom hardly fits around the camera base. I thought the case had a zipper on the back (no idea why I thought that but it looked like it somehow), but there is only a velcro fastener on the back and even if I pull it down as far as I can, it doesn't completely cover the back of the camera (incl. screen).

Overall, I like the product because it's light-weight and great if you don't want to drag along a big camera case or bag.

I liked this product even though I bought it for a point and shoot Canon S5 and it really didn't fit perfectly. It fits great but there is about and inch and a half left on the front of the lens part, but it's better than anything there is out there for these larger point and shoot digital cameras.

The only thing is that the first week of use (and I don't give it that much use) the elastic through which you put the shoulder strap of your camera became loose. I sewed it back up and its working fine, but I didn't really use it that much for it to become unsewn.

Good product overall.
