This compact little camera case seems pretty sturdy and it's a good fit for the A500. The only thing that makes it less than perfect is that it's so compact it's tough to fit any extras, like batteries, in the case along with the camera. You can just nestle them alongside the camera, but you can't put them in the little mesh pocket.

The hard shell helps protect the camera which was the original reason for purchasing. It does have room for a spare battery but otherwise, no great shakes in recommending it beyond protection for camera's fragile view screen.
