This seems like a pretty sturdy carrying case, although I really just got it and tossed it aside, due to the fact that IT DOES NOT FIT A D5000. It is possible to cram the camera in and stretch out the zipper, like stuffing a suitcase for a 3 week trip. My advice to you if you're buying this for a D5000, look elsewhere!!! You will be disappointed.

I just bought the D3100 from Amazon and I love it. I did not want an overwhelming camera bag. This one fits the D3100 with the standard 18 55 mm lens, period, It won't hold anything more although you can tuck in the Nikon strap, too. It was perfect for my needs on my recent 3 week vacation.

Before I purchased this camera case, I did research between this case and "Opteka SLR & DSLR Camera Short Zoom Holster Case w/Adjustable Shoulder Strap". Finally I decided to buy this one, and I am so glad I chose this "Rokinon Leather-Style Holster SLR Carrying Case". I was worrying the interior size might be too small for my Nikon D40x+Nikkor 18-135mm 3.5-5.6G lens (the camera+lens is totally 6.5"L x 5"W x 3.5"H), fortunately it does not let me down. Actually I can put the camera straps in and even an extra battery! Shipping is fast too! Great little case! Highly recommend!

It is a really well and strong made case for our Nikon P100 camera.

It wasn't listed on the compatibility brand and models, but after comparing specific sized camera is similar shaped as the shown and it fit perfectly.

Has a lot of compartiment to carry a lot of little other things or accessories.

We really enjoy it using is all of the way.

I got this for my new Nikon D3000. It fits like a glove when the camera strap is on the camera and folded. I can't fit anything else in the bag besides my camera and the USB cord,so that's why I say "IT'S OKAY".
