This case is exactly what I needed. I like to throw my camera in a backpack with a few other items and hit the trail. I didn't like having the bare camera banging and rubbing against the other things in my bag. This provides just the right amount of padding and abrasion protection without being bulky or cumbersome. Sometimes I don't want to take big bag for DSLR camera with me and going with backpack only.
And I always afraid that camera can be damaged in some way by other stuff in backpack (ex. notebook AC adapter).
