See, I like this accessory, it's just that I hate false advertising... there is nothing that this smartphone holder will do that your smartphone is currently doing now... if your smartphone has GPS capability and/or bluetooth connectivity then you are lucky because these features will not be automatically added to your DSLR camera, of course not... all this item offers is a smartphone holder for your iPhone or Samsung type of phone... nothing else... but don't get me wrong... this metal holder attaches perfectly to the DSLR camera's flash dock or a camera tripod in a very convincing manner... you can actually load your smartphone to this holder, attach it to the camera, and do a video of your photo session to keep it as a memory... the camera is still there to take the regular HD photos... but again, this item is only a holder... actually a very good, well-built, clever, sturdy holder... you will not regret having it in your camera to do simultaneous tasks with your smartphone as taking pictures or videos... in case of having the EyeFi SD Card you can do a lot more than just take pictures... I wish I had this item a month ago in the San Diego Zoo when I had a close encounter with the Panda bears for the first time in my life... I was taking pictures with my Canon 50D camera and taking videos of the bears with my iPhone at the same time... I wish I only had it with me handy that day so that I took profit of the limited time they give you to spend time with the Panda's... in conclusion, this is a very good suplementary accessory for your DSLR camera if you are the kind of photographer that likes to do two things at a time and still be able to focus in your photographic objective: to take high quality pictures with your DSLR camera... at the end, I am ok with this item and I recommend it for the above reasons...

I received the Pocketdemo flash which was connected with the Triggertrap dongle and Iphone 5. There is a slight flaw in the design with respect to the Pocketdemo since the Iphone 5 socket is at the bottom connecting the Triggertrap. This results in the Iphone 5 being placed either upside down for ease or pushed up the holder in the upright position. Otherwise it is a fine product.I gave 3 stars because I had mailed beforehand to inquire whether this was compatible with Iphone 5 and the reply was "yes" but it is not compatible due to the design flaw.
I had mailed to Bruno Rousseau of PocketDemo Flash on this aspect but yet to receive any reply from his side.
