Does its job well, it'll protect compact point and shoots from damage from a moderately severe singular bounce. It's less costly than a camera manufacturers case, and in the black actually looks decent enough to both not scream cheap and gaudy to onlookers, and not having a huge camera company logo on it that would be a beacon to pickpockets and thieves.
