This is perfect for my Sony DSC-H50, which fits exactly in the pull out drawer of the front compartment (in a lens up position). I can put my adapter in with the camera if I remove it and lay it, upside down, over the lens area of the camera.
There is another zip-around compartment on the other side where you can put little flatish things like your camera remote (one pocket is the perfect size), lens cloth, and I put my Sony M-3358 close up lens with the ring adapter back there very snugly so that nothing is rattling around since the back compartment is somewhat narrow.
For my purpose, this is a great size second bag that allows me to take off with just the camera, on days I don't need to take all my lenses and other equipment, and have it perfectly protected. It is sort of a semi-hard shell case and the interior is adequately padded. I love the top handle because I wouldn't really use the shoulder strap (that is included) with a small bag such as this.

I bought this for my JVC Everio GZ-MG330 HD camcorder. In the main compartment -and it's very handy the way it kind of rocks forward -is my camcorder and my Canon PowerShot SD850IS (in a very small hard-shell case of its own). In the back compartment I was able to fit: the camcorder's AC adaptor, remote control and USB cable PLUS my PowerShot's battery charger and extra SD card. The shoulder strap is plenty long and the molded outside of the bag gives me a lot of confidence that my precious electronics will stay safe. If I had to find one little thing wrong with it, it's that I would have prefered the back compartment to also have two zipper pulls that meet in the center. It has only one, which certainly doesn't affect its functionality.Best Deals for Case Logic QPB-51 High Zoom Camera/Camcorder Case (Black /Grey)
Three things make this the best bag for the Canon VIXIA HF10 (or HF11 or HF20, and even the slightly larger HFS10, etc., though I'm not sure about their HDV line, such as the HV40):1. It fits everything! There are two separate compartments. One that opens up and has a snug "basket" that the camcorder fits in perfectly, even leaving room for Canon's external mike (I have that in a smaller case, to protect it from scraping against the camera). Another that has little pockets for the remote, for extra SDHC cards, and an extra battery, and even has room for the plug. It all fits in there snug and safe, and I like the fact that there isn't a lot of extra room for things to jostle around in there.
2. It's both compact AND solid. The case is hard, not like metal but not like fabric either. It is soft inside but fairly solid on the outside and that gives my expensive gear an extra layer of protection. Once again, I love the fact that this is compact I paid a premium for a compact camcorder and don't want to lug it around in a big bag. Carrying this thing around my shoulder just doesn't feel like "lugging," and I like that!
3. You can't get anything comparable in this price range, and I've looked around quite a bit. In fact, I haven't found a better bag for just what I need to carry along with my Canon Vixia line camcorder in ANY price range.
Highly recommended. I'm always pleased by Case Logic's bags, but this one (that I just happened to find) does EXACTLY what I needed it for.
Honest reviews on Case Logic QPB-51 High Zoom Camera/Camcorder Case (Black /Grey)
I really like this case...but I should've got a bigger one. I purchased this case to use with a Canon SX20 and it fits everything, but its a tight fit. But that's my fault, however I really wish the Amazon description clearly stated the dimensions of the typical camera this case was designed for.The case itself is well designed with durable fabrics and construction. One side of the case holds the camera within a padded pocket, the other side contains three zippered mesh pockets, plus two canvas pockets for organizing cables and other small gear.
I really like the case and recommend it and the other similar Case Logic cases, just make sure you take the time to get one that is the correct size for your camera and gear.
