I find it rather annoying that sometimes when I search amazon Kata brand does not

come up when looking for DSLR camera bags / holders / holsters. I'm sick of Low-Pro

and Case Logic cases. I searched, 18", holster, Black, DSLR, camera, ... and Kata

is hard to find or did not make the list. What up Amazon?

PRO:

1) This case is great, it's plain and simple, and has room to grow

should I buy a larger lens some day. That is it, there are no

special buckles, loops, pins, etc.

2) The water proof bag is nice, but not really needed.

3) Yellow lining is great, I can find things and I can wash this

case easily with soap and water.

4) Side pockets are a great idea and useful.

CONS:

1) The zippers are fine tooth zippers, they will get dirty and Jam !

2) No buckle for quick access; it's all zippers or let the flap

stay open, and risk dropping your camera.

3) Plastic hooks and loops, yeah it keep it light, but will not last long.

4) Does not stand up like the picture shows it, it will fall over.

Overall you get what you pay for and this is just a quick skin when walking,

I will have a full backpack, sling and more one day. This works if you are taking

just one camera and its one attached lens.

Peace!

I have been looking for a small, compact case to carry around my Canon 5D Mark III with my 70-200mm or 100-400mm lens and this works perfectly. I can use the bag with either lens mounted and it fits easily. I also like the carrying strap which makes it very convenient to carry. The pockets on the outside and the rain cover are great as well plus the small inside pocket for memory cards.. It is exactly what I need when I just want to carry the camera and just the one lens to my daughter's soccer game without being bogged down with a larger bag. You could probably even put a second lens in this bag at the bottom if you had something smaller attached to the camera rather than the 70-200mm. I have a couple of other Kata bags and I love them. I have used Tamrac bags in the past but I like the Kata bags much better. Their design is always so much better for my needs.

I love this case. It's lightweight and easily holds my D300 with a 200MM lens. I like the small side pouch which can hold a filter or two and some extra memory cards. I am happy with this purchase.
