Even though this case is specifically listed as for the FZ200 and not the V-LUX 2, they are the same camera it's just that the Leica version has the red leica dot & costs about $600.00 more.I found that the mounting screw for the case to attach to the camera base was about 5mm offset from the hole. I'm in the process of boring the hole in the metal securement plate under the leather to correct this error and "make it work"
I thought that this was possibly an issue with the two different bodies (LUMIX FZ200 & LEICA V-LUX 2) but I tried the case out on a new FZ200 in a camera store and it's the same offset.
Other than that, it's a very nice case.

Sometimes you just don't want to haul around a stocked camera bag, you just want the camera. When I took the Lumix FZ 150 DSLR out on a snowy day I needed something to keep snowflakes and water off the lens and out of the controls on top while I carried it around in a snowstorm. Tossing my scarf over it helped, but I knew that wouldn't help keep lint and dust out of the controls if the camera were anywhere else like buried in a backpack or stowed under a car seat. This cover is a terrific and attractive solution; an elegant alternative to neoprene.Your camera can be accessed in either of two ways: unsnapping the sides and flipping the front piece over the lens to hang underneath, or unsnapping a single snap on the bottom to flip the front piece back over the top. Once the leather is softened to flexibility, both modes fully expose top controls while providing protection in inclement weather walking around between shots; both modes provide viewfinder access. However, only the side snap release permits access to lcd use and rear controls below the viewfinder. As shown, there is a gap around the strap rings on the camera where the included matching strap may be attached to the camera only. There are no strap attachment rings on the case itself.
Does it fit the FZ150? Yes. Is there a difference in fit between the FZ 150 and FZ 200? Yes. There is a tripod screw on the bottom made to hold the cover to the FZ200 which is slightly offset and unusable for the FZ150. That being said, I didn't find this to be a problem, as the flocked lining holds both cameras in place in a comfortable grip during shooting. As a compromise, I screw the bottom platform of my Opteka wrist strap to the case and carry camera-plus-case that way should they separate. There is, however an included matching leather strap that attaches to the camera only, and a rather nice camera-sized flocked black drawstring bag for the whole assembly. Note that for the FZ150, camera and case cannot be secured as a single unit, and held accordingly.
With the FZ150 snapped inside, I did not find any gap above the hot shoe indicating anything but a secure fit. However, as the picture shows, this is not a dust or water tight case; for down pour it may be wise to invest in an actual rain cover because during actual shooting, camera controls are obviously exposed for use.
As for color, I'm sick of not being able to readily find black items in shadows or dark rooms or inside a backpack. I liked the retro color of the lightest tan, but remember how sweat and oil stain leather in high use areas. In addition, I didn't want to attract attention to my camera when traveling. The compromise was the brown case which is more brown than red than some product photos depict, but light enough to be seen in shadow. If the lightest color is desired, transparent wax for leather could provide stain protection.
Due to overall quality of materials, precise Lumix fit, functionality and professional appearance and price I would highly recommend this MegaGear case to anyone with a Panasonic Lumix FZ model DSLR. Having also purchased MegaGear Professional Shotgun Camcorder/Camera Microphone, I would also recommend the seller, MegaGear to anyone as well.

It is cumbersome to use and I have just left it aside. When it is in place on the camera, I cannot take the screen out to see it, and it is all too big and uncomfortable to use.I have a similar one for a Nikon P7700 and it is great, surely because the lens is smaller.
