The case is what I wanted, with the extra pocket for storing SD cards, battery, etc. It has a chemical smell that isn't overpowering by any means, but pretty noticeable. Leaving it sitting out seems to have helped. The smell is still there, but not nearly as strong. It does what I need it to.
