Review of Velbon DMSP-CF2 Plastic Case for Digital Memory

It's a great storage case for CF cards. I have 2 of them, and am looking to buy another. Yeah, they're that good.

Cards fit snugly in the padded case, and construction seems pretty good (hinge is plastic, so it will eventually wear out thus my 4-star rating).

I like the keychain attachment it keeps my cards at the top of my photography bag. I would order the four card case (better bang for the buck), but that doesn't have the keychain feature that this one does.

You can't go wrong for the price it's a good investment.

I have two of these that are always in use. They hold two CF cards apiece, safely and snugly, in little rubbery recesses. Removing a CF card on the run is easy since there is a small indentation (to the narrower side of the card, not on the card contacts side) where the tip of the finger fits nicely to lift it from the case.

The Hakuba case -that is what is written on it -feels quite solid and well built. I think my memory cards are well protected. It doesn't take up much space in my camera bag and I like the chain + clip, which allows me to attach it to any strap so it's easily accessible. Nothing worse than rummaging in that black hole of a camera bag for media!

My one complaint is that this case should be available in more colors. I store CF UDMA memory cards in one of them and regular CF cards on the other and sometimes keep them in the camera bag while shooting. I'd like to be able to tell the cases apart before opening them. Otherwise, a solid 5 out of 5 for this product.

This case works much better than the soft cases provided by Sandisk with their Extreme CF cards. Would buy again when AMAZON (not the other merchants) has them available!

NOTE: this model is only for the CF cards (unlike the other reviewer who complained); Velbon makes another one for SD cards, which works great also.

Great product. Work's better then I expect, good material with well protection. I recommend this to yours cards. But if you needmmor slots, there is another item for four slots the same brand.

This product has gone around the world, protecting my cards for my cameras. It has a great clip to attach it to a camera case, belt loop, keyring or etc. I love it and it works as intended, very well. Get you one.
