I think it is very sturdy. Some reviews say that zipper fell apart and the fabric ripped? Can't imagine anything like this happening. Must have given it to their monkey? The case, however could not be closed as the camera, a Canon Sure Shot SX 120is with 10x Zoom, is too wide for the case. No matter, I will give it to my wife for her smaller digital.This case fits the G12, but it is stretched out due to the lens protrusion. I use it for my mp3 players.
