If big is what you need, this is for you. Very well built and not meant for inside use at all.... It carries my 500mm Canon with camera attached and tons of other lens at the same time.

I bought this bag and am very happy with it.

I need to take a 500mm lens on Alaska Air. This bag is supposed to meet the requirement.

I did have another bag for the 500mm lens, but it did not hold as much extra stuff as this bag. For airplane travel with a big lens, this is the bag you need.

I purchased this backpack to haul a significant amount of video and audio gear into the field.

This pack is huge and it will carry nearly all my gear. With clever packing, I can haul my lenses, large sensor video cam, filters, matte box, extra batteries, audio and misc support equipment all in one bag. The pack is very well made, easily handles a heavy load and is comfortable while carrying the load. Because it is such a large bag, it is not an everyday bag or for traveling light. It really shines when you need to haul a lot gear.

If you think this might be too large for you, certainly consider one of the smaller Tamrac bags in the expedition series. They are very well made and come in a range of sizes. You should easily find a size that suits your needs.

I would recommend this bag or one of the smaller bags in this series to a friend.

I have several camera bags/backpacks as well as a few Pelican cases and this Tamrac is exactly what I wanted. I wanted to fit my two bodies (with attached lenses, 70-200 and 24-70) along with a few other lenses and speedlites. This is the first bag that fits them all nicely and doesn't break my back. It's large, but comfortable! I'm happy!
