I bought this case to go to Myanmar with two Nikon FX bodies, 3 lenses including a 70-200, 28-300, and 16-35 as well as flash, small laptop,2 external drives, battery charger and many plugs, cables and adapters. My experience was as follows:

PROS build quality is excellent as one would expect from Think Tank. The split strap allowed it to be piggy-backed on my rolling suitcase. The size attracted absolutely no attention as a carryon on the international flights. The top zipper makes it easy to remove just the cameras. The external pocket worked well for airport security when I had to pull out my laptop.

CONS It was too wide to roll down the plane aisle so I had to carry it sideways and try to pretend it didn't weigh very much. It was too deep to fit in the overhead bin on the Yangon Airways regional plane (approx. 80 passenger ATR 72 turboprop). Friends with an Airport International and an Airport 4-Sight had no problem. I couldn't fit it even with the laptop removed from the external pocket. I did manage to cram it under the seat with difficulty but came very close to having to hand it over to the crew to stow or check.

As a result, I am going to buy the Think Tank International before I go to India and travel again on regional planes. I still really like this bag and will use it in the States.

I've been waiting for a bag like this for nearly 20 years. What I mean is that I love the idea of a top loader; a bag that allows me to roll from one place to the other, quickly access my gear on the fly, without always needing to drop the bag down, unzip, open, zip, pick up, etc. I had looked at a few but nothing had ever fit the bill...until now!! The Navigator is exactly what I had always been looking for!!

It never has to leave the upright position, and I can even roll it from one spot to another with the top unzipped. From the top, I can access two bodies with lenses attached(even the 70-200) on the fly! And from the front access panel, I can easily get to all of my other gear, laptop, and iPad.

Right now, as I write this review, my navigator sits there with two bodies, a 70-200 and 24-70 both attached, plus a 16-35 2.8, 50 1.4, 35 1.4, 85 1.4, a fisheye, and two flashes, all comfortably inside the bag, without even using the outside stretch pockets. Oh, and I even have a charger, camera and AA batteries on the inside as well.

With over 20 years as a photographer, and over 10 as a professional event photographer, I can safely say, this is by far the best bag I've ever owned; I may even buy an extra one to keep in the closet in case it's ever discontinued! Thank you ThinkTank!!!

Very well made bag. Holds a Lenevo T510 which is a bigger laptop than the 15.4 since it has a huge battery that sticks out on the back. I can use it for camera gear or take out the inserts for just work items.

I had been using a Think Tank Urban Disguise 60 bag, fitted with a Kata Insert Trolley when traveling. I prefer the top down design and both bags allow two bodies with lens attached, straight down into the bag, plus several lenses below. The thing I didn't like about the UD 60 is that it is difficult to get to the items below, because there is not a side access option. The Navigator solves that problem, and gives much better top access with the flip lid, vs the center zipper on the UD 60.

This bag is exactly what I've been looking for, I feel like they custom made this bag for me, addressing each of the issues that I had with the UD 60. It's great for location shooting because the top access means you don't have to lay the bag flat on the ground to get to your gear, and the built in wheels are awesome. If you need a lens that is stored below, unzip the side access panel and it's right there. This thing fits a ton of gear and gets quite heavy, but don't they all?
