This little camera has the power of the bigger bridge units in the compact size of a point & shoot unit. It's a powerful little unit with a range of lens to suit most mid-level users. Sony are also making the technical aspects of photography accessible to us amateurs by building in options to blurr backgrounds (used to make foreground focus of the image stand out better). It's a solid unit and well made. I can say 'well made' as my unit attached to a tripod toppled over and hit concrete and suffered no apparent damage. The user guide is typically confusing but then all guides are. The NEX-5 has a screw in shoe to attach the small flash and optional mic'. I bought the mic' and was really surprised at how clear the sound was when recording a national conferece. It needs some learning to use properly, but well worth the effort for this mid-level investment.

Love at first sight! This camera case is gorgeous. The leather exterior and the micro-suede interior are smooth and beautiful. And the magnetic closure is strong to prevent accidental opening. In the backside is a belt loop which I never use.

For Canon PowerShot S95 or the S100, this fits perfectly (the Sorrento 10 is too small; the 30 is too large). This case is so handsome, that I call it the Tuxedo Case!

This is a rigid leather case that uses a magnetic clousure. It fits the Sony RX100 like a glove. meet my expectations other than when using the belt loop feature it is a big pouch on your side. This is not the pouches fault, just the Sony is not as slim as some cameras I've used in the past

nuff said if you want a camera case for the Rx100 to fit on your belt, this is pretty good inexpensive, simple, classy, real leather, and a snug fit slightly tight on the lens, but that is easing up with time....

Honest reviews on Lowepro LP36222 Sorrento 20 Camera Pouch - Black

Purchased to use with the sony rx100 camera.

Like:

Very well constructed.

Fits the rx100 perfectly.

Like that it is captured by the belt so it can not fall off.

Does a fair job of protecting the camera (but certainly not as well padded as some cases).

Cons:

Non really. Though as some have mentioned, it could be a problem if you accidentally turn the camera on when it is in the case since the lense will try to extend (and there is absolutely no place for it to go).

Other:

I suppose some may not like wearing this camera on their belt since it is relatively large. Really just a matter of personal taste. But if a belt case is what you are looking for and you have the rx100 I would certainly consider this case.

Fits my new Panasonic Lumix ZS15 perfectly. Panasonic LUMIX DMC-ZS15 12.1 MP High Sensitivity MOS Digital Camera with 16x Optical Zoom (Black) There's no extra room or bulk...exactly what I wanted. It's only meant to hold the camera. Because the top of the sides are open a bit, it allows the hand strap to hang out if you like. But there's enough room to stick it inside, but nothing else. Depending on the camera a SD card would fit, but think it would be an easy way to lose it. The magnetic flap avoids the zipper or velcro that most bags have. Nice because the screen won't get scratched by a zipper and you don't have to fuss with getting it open. The magnet is strong enough to keep it secure. You don't see the magnet itself because it's covered by leather on the outside and suede inside, just like the rest of the case.

It looks great! It doesn't have that clunky look that most bags have. I haven't used the belt loop, but it could be useful. Think a clip would be a bit easier, but often clips don't hold up well after using them a few times. I'll probably just keep it in my day bag or carry it by the hand strap. It might be a little big for some pants pockets, but would would certainly be okay in a jacket or most cargo pants. Construction is solid and it's really a classy looking case.

I checked other sites and Amazon had the best price. Several sites were out of stock, so I thought it might be being discontinued. So, I jumped on it. A few hours after I ordered it, the price jumped about $12, so timing is everything. Yesterday it was a couple dollars less than I paid for it and now the price is quite a bit higher again. For under $20, I really think it's reasonable for the quality. Just watch the fluctuating price.

I have this bag in red. It does look a little cheap when scrutinizing closely. However, I find this bag is my favorite as it's perfect for taking a quick trip with your camera if you only need one lens. I don't like traveling with too many lenses because of all the extra weight on my shoulder. I had a photo backpack that was just plain awkward and impossible to adjust to a comfortable position, for someone like me who has experienced shoulder and back injuries. This little bag is practically weightless, even when filled with my camera and lens. I can fit both my cameras into this bag, so I just switch between the Pentax k10d with any (incl 55-200 lens), and my old Minolta XG-7 film camera. I can fit any spare batteries, spare chips, or 2 rolls of film into the small pocket in the back. There are little pockets that are just perfect to hold small things, like filters. I really like the inner pocket on the large section, as it holds my camera securely. This may be a cheap bag, but I like it a lot better than my more expensive bags. It is worth every penny and more!

I'm a photographer who'd been looking for ages for the perfect camera bag. My criteria: it had to be secure, padded, lightweight, not too big, and easy to get in and out of. I was having the hardest time finding one that wasn't huge on me. I'm a very petite 5'2" tall, and most camera bags even the "small" ones overwhelmed me. This pack has been perfect. The straps adjust so that the pack stays close to my body and above my waistline, allowing me to sit, bend, and jump without it getting in the way. The pack easily swings under my arm and in front of me where I can easily pull back the zippered flap and get to my gear. There are two bands of nylon webbing on one end of the bag where I snap my add-ons a Tamrac battery/CF card holder and my Expodisc. The zippered pocket on the front is large enough to hold a few things. On my shoot today, I put a Whibal card, Lenspen, small wallet, iPhone, and flashgun cable, and there was still some room to spare. The inside of the bag is surprisingly roomy. It's all padded with repositionable dividers. I can fit my 5DM2 with 24-70L attached (with lens hood inverted), 430EXII speedlight, Rogue Flashbender, and 50 1.4 in there with enough room to be able to remove things easily. The only thing that would make this bag better would be if it had straps or bungee cords on the bottom to allow me to carry a tripod or sweater easily. Overall, it's a great little bag, and perfect for those on-the-go shoots where I need quick access to my gear.

We ordered this item on a whim. I find that slings vs backpacks are more of a personal preference. We like backpacks since we only use one strap over one shoulder at a time. The sling is a completely different feel. We put our Nikon D3200 with the 18-200 lens, the 18-55 kit lens, batteries, charger, filters, and a pair of Nikon binoculars in the bag and found it a bit heavy and compressing on the chest. So, we tried slinging the strap over one shoulder. It doesn't feel as good as a backpack this way.....then again it's not designed to be used in this fashion. We resolved a little of the discomfort by removing the binoculars.

As for the function, this bag effectively stored all the items we have/need when going out and about. Wish it had one more pocket somewhere so that you could separate the filters from say the batteries. All in all, it's a quality built bag and have no doubt that it will protect our equipment.

A smaller camera bag suitable for the shorter, faster moving trips. Sits comfortably across the back but for shorter periods (5 hours would probably the max I'd use it regularly). Excellent build quality and a cool design. I'd go for the Kata 3N1's for longer trips or outings that require more bits and pieces. All-in-all, happy with my purchase.

Honest reviews on Kata Pro Light KT PL-LT-314 Torso Pack

Where the camera bag fits my Nikon D4 it doesn't have enough flexibility with the straps. The straps seem to get in the way. They give you extra straps, but give no picture or description of how to configure it differently.

This bag is quite awesome and it's made in USA; which is a plus for me! Caution: This bag doesn't fit the Nikon D7000 with a lens but if you have a micro 4/3rds camera, it will fit on big bad with no problems.

Tamrac makes great products that last, and this is the second Tamrac camera bag that I own. I purchased this bag for a point & shoot camera, and it's perfect! Excellent quality!

Best Deals for Tamrac 601 Expo 1 Camera Bag (Chili)

This is one of the few camera bags that Tamrac still made here in the USA. I can't praise enough this company for such superb camera bags. The material, the zippers, the finish. Everything is perfect in these bags.

Congratulations to the Tamrac team for continuing improving their line of USA Made products.

Please note that I don't work with Tamrac and I don't know anyone working for Tamrac. I just love all Tamrac products that are still being made in the USA.

Honest reviews on Tamrac 601 Expo 1 Camera Bag (Chili)

This is a great bag if you only need to carry your SLR and some small things like film and whatnot. I don't think it could hold an extra lens, but I guess it depends on how big the lens is. Overall, a great minimalist bag.

I was in Hot Topic and I saw this case in a different design and I thought it was adorable but I guess I didn't like it enough to buy it, Long story short I liked this one better it looks even cuter in person and it's pretty roomy there are inner pockets for cash, cards, or I.D. there is also cushioning to protect your electronic devices. It has gold sequins with a second layer of thick plastic with poke a dots & if you can't tell what the tiny red bows are they're H.K faces if you look close you can see her eyes, nose and whiskers 5"X 4.5"X 1.5". P.S. Sorry if my review is bad this is my first one and I wanted to give a good description, I hope this helps.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Thule is well known for making high quality car attachments. They can be used to carry bikes, kayaks, skis and luggage. Recently they have expanded to also making bags for caring your electronics (computers, iPads, cameras, etc).

This is a very interesting bag, from the moment you pick it up, you can tell that this was made with quality and inattention to detail. It is even made to withstand most weather, although I would exercise caution with that.

On the other hand, there is one use for this bag to carry DSLR with a large lens. There are no pockets, no internal containers.... just one big open case. As such, this really limits its usefulness

For many people this is not going to be an ideal bag. Then again, if one has the need for a bag like this it isn't going to be the primary bag as you can't carry much else in it.

Ultimately, I would say that this is a novelty bag. It won't appeal to many and for those who need this type of bag, you should probably check out the competition before deciding on this one.

Well it is well built, and has some nice details.

But it is larger than needed for my lenses.

It would have been nice to have a flash or spare lenses compartment

Best Deals for Thule Luggage Perspektiv Large Toploader

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is a rather large camera case. Measures about 11" tall, 8" square on top, tapering down to 6.5" square on the bottom. Construction quality is excellent. The walls are semi-rigid foam. Plenty of padding. All the zippers are sealed. In addition there is a rain cover. I ran this in my shower, and not a drop of water got in. The back has about a 1/2" of soft, ventilated padding. In terms of storage, you have one main compartment wit 2 sets of movable foam pads for the lens. On the out side, you have a tiny pocket on top...good for a set of keys or an iphone, but not much else. There's two side slots as well for quick access items, but there's no zipper. Overall construction quality is just beautiful. Best of any camera bag that I've seen. All the seams are perfect. The material looks amazing. Great looking case.

In use, I'd have to agree that this is not for everybody. My Nikon D7000 with a 18-200 lens look tiny and cannot be secured because it's plain too small. In fact, I can fit a 50mm lens on the bottom and still have room for the camera and 18-200 lens on top. It's not only the depth, but the width is also too wide. My friend's Nikon D800 fits perfectly.

This is a fairly comfortable case. I use it mostly as a sling. The strap is plenty padded, and the waste strap kept movements in check. The extremely precise seems makes it hard to work the zippers, however. Even using the zipper straps, the zipper gets caught all the time. And the top compartment, for some stupid reason, does not open all the way. The zipper stops about one inch from the back. Makes it a bit difficult to get your camera out.

Overall, I like this bag. It's beautifully made and completely weatherproof. However, I wouldn't use this for anything short of a full size DSLR. Just plain too big otherwise. If you have a full size DSLR and have the 80-200 lens, this is a custom made case for you. Otherwise, don't buy.

Honest reviews on Thule Luggage Perspektiv Large Toploader

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I was initially excited about this bag because I carry a Canon 60D with a 70-200mm zoom lens and the bag I have now doesn't facilitate transporting the camera with the zoom lens attached.

Although the Thule Perspektiv bag will easily swallow the 60D with the zoom lens attached, a design flaw with the zipper makes it difficult to retrieve the camera from the bag. I've posted some photos to illustrate the problem that I will attempt to describe here.

The zipper on the top does not reach to edge of the top of the bag. This makes it difficult to open the bag and keep it open without using two hands. You have to fumble with the zipper and then use two hands to bend the top back out of the way to retrieve the camera. It's awkward, cumbersome, and frustrating.

I'm mainly a wildlife photographer so I need to be able to quickly retrieve the camera from the bag when I reach my location. This is where the bag disappoints, and for me the bag is unusable.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program As camera bags go this the probably the smallest one I own for my SLR now. It is as the vendor describes it, a minimalist bag for people on the go that don't want to be weighed down. It's really probably built for the prosumer range of camera's with but my SLR fits in nicely with with a 300mm lens. I could probably fit maybe one more lens 80mm or less in at the bottom, maybe, but that its, the only things left that the bag would really have room for is some memory cards and maybe a spare battery. That is pretty much it. So I think of the bag as a grab and go bag. I just want to take my camera, no extras, and go hiking or the zoo, concert maybe, somewhere that will not be needing a lot of accessories. For that purpose it does well. Its tough and well padded and pretty easy to open and get to in a hurry.
