I brought this for my Olympus SP-810UZ camera. Great price! The bag has many useful pockets to hold my extra batteries and equipment. It is a nice feature that it is not big and bulky and well padded. A good product.

I ordered this for my old Olympus camera, but in the mean time I had gotten a Pentax X-5 and it did not fit the bag. There were no faults with the bag, it just did not meet my need.

The bag seems well made and addresses the need for a dedicated iPad pocket/slot. However, the iPad does not fit in the slot with a wraparound slim case while the bag is full of camera equipment. Ergonomically, the bag fits comfortably. Simply, this bag is too small for me and the gear I carry but if you're looking for a smaller day-trip sling bag, this might be it.

The zippers are small difficult to grasp and the sewing contours make it difficult to close effortlessly and requires two hands.

The rest is satisfactory. How disappointing such an important feature, as is the zipper, is so poor.

Best Deals for Lowepro LP36417-PWW Urban Photo Sling 150 Camera Bag (Black)

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I have a sony nex-7 camera and a couple of lenses. My ideal bag would let me carry them and a few other accessories (batteries, sd cards, lens cleaner, bad elf gps, keys, sun glasses) and my ipad mini. I also wanted something that I feel like I am still traveling light.

After an exhaustive search, this bag seemed perfect. Not only did it have a dedicated pocket for the ipad and room for my camera and lenses but it it is very classy looking black.... and is a sling which I prefer.

When it came I was so excited to put all my stuff in. The bag has a lot of room. I also noticed that the way the zipper works it makes it difficult for someone to open the bag or its pocket without you taking it off. This is great for traveling and worrying about "sticky finger" trying to access your stuff.

The sony nex 7 is not the biggest nor smallest camera. This is one of the things that I really like about it. As I started packing up my camera and lenses, I soon realized that the real useable space wasn't as plentiful as I thought. In fact, the front pocket feels near useless because it is too tight to open. Things like a battery, pens, memory cards should all fit in, nit nothing too much bigger.

As far as the iPad, this bag is marketed to fit the full size iPad. I felt my ipad mini was going to be flopping around. Not so, my mini didn't have much extra room. In fact I don't see how the full size ipad would fit in this bag, especially if you have a case on it. I could be wrong about this but I don't have a full size one to test out. This would definitely be something you would want to test. Even if you could get it in, I think it would be hard to quickly get in and out.

As far as bag quality, I think it rates an 8 out of 10. The zippers seem a little cheap, but other wise good construction.

One regret is there is no place to carry a tripod with this bag, If that is important. From time to time, I do like to carry one.

Testing it in the Field:

My wife and I went out of town for a weekend in Boston. I thought that this would be the perfect place to really put this bag through its paces. We walked quite a bit around the city visiting historical site and used the camera quite a bit.

What I found was this was not the most comfortable bag. It wasn't bad and maybe for someone else's body shape they may have better experience. As a point of reference I am 5'5 and while I have a slight bit of extra weight in my stomach, for the most part I am in shape.

I found that the bag didn't contour to my back. As a result, as we were out, I constantly knew it was on my back. Some bags shape to your body better and allow you to walk for miles with less bag-fatigue. This was not true for this bag.

I did love the ability to carry my iPad with me. There were many times that we stopped and looked up more info about where we were, searched for something or had the ability to read while my wife shopped.

Conclusion:

To summarize my complaints about this bag, it is lack of useable room, less the spacious front pocket, uncomfortable and i stubble to see how a full size iPad fit.

BUT.... and this is a big but.....

I know that these could be based on me and my gear. For someone else, this may be a great bag for their gear and fit their body just fine. I would highly recommend seeing if you stuff fits. Then put it on and walk around a little. See what it feels like to wear it for 15, 20, 30 minutes.

Again, I loved this bag. And I really wish it would have worked for me. But there were too many strikes against it.

I have yet to find the perfect case, but currently I am testing the case logic SLRC-205 which overcomes a lot of my complaints with this bag. Although the jury is still out.

Honest reviews on Lowepro LP36417-PWW Urban Photo Sling 150 Camera Bag (Black)

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is what I am using now for my T3i. I have an 18-55mm stock lens, a 55-250 mm zoom lens and a 50 mm prime lens that fit comfortably in this bag. There are Velcros inside so you can customize the sizes of the compartments. On the top zippered cover flap, it has a small pouch where I put 5 extra SD cards. It is also protected by a Velcro lid so you don't lose any of them. All sides and from top to bottom, the bag is padded.

The front has a double zippered pouch that I use to carry 2 extra batteries. It has a couple of pockets that you can use for anything you want like cables, earphones, money, etc.

The shoulder strap is wide and comfortable. It is easily adjustable to one's height. It also has a hidden waist strap that you can utilize if you want it. I like that it has a handle on top which is the easiest way to carry the bag if you don't want to use the shoulder strap.

A padded compartment can comfortable accomodate a tablet or an iPad.

Cons:

the zipper does an excellent way of making sure you don't drop your equipment from the bag, but still not the best nor the most convenient way of quickly taking out the camera when you need it.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I recently had the chance to review the line of the new Pro Messenger series. I have used LowePro products for the previous 15 years and owned nearly every bag they produced including Fast Packs, Pro Roller (x200 and x300), Slingbags, Stealth Reporter, Event Messenger, the previous Messenger line, etc.... I also owned many Think Tank, Tamrac, and Timbuk2 bags. I admit openly I was (am) addicted to gear bags. Last year, I switched entirely to the Domke brand mainly because, as with many photographers, my shooting style changed. I also chose to go retro with a minimalist approach since I took up street shooting. By comparison, LowePro bags are generally bulkier by design to maximize gear protection whereas Domke bags are designed to be more streamlined, in a minimalist fashion. So, when given an opportunity to checkout the LowePro, I was interested. I figured this bag would challenge my Domke F-2 I use for street shooting now.

This LowePro is a very compact and lightweight bag. It also has the typical LowePro quality longtime LowePro fans expect, with only the zippers posing a possible build (not necessarily quality) issue. You can easily consider the design aspect of this bag to be evolutionary given the prior LowePro slingbags (and hybrids) such as the Lowepro SlingShot 102 AW or Lowepro LP36392-PAM DSLR Video Fastpack 150 AW (Black), which are simply bulkier, heavier, and far less streamlined. The Urban Photo Sling 150 is specifically designed for fast moving in an urban environment and takes on a minimalist approach to achieve this aspect by significantly limiting the amount of gear you can carry. However, because of this, the bag becomes a Street Shooter's dream.

This bag was clearly designed for smaller DSLR's such as the Nikon D90 and not the full body Nikon D4 or even a D300s w/grip. I was able to fit my D300 w/out grip, 60mm prime, 50mm 1.4, SB-910 flash, and some small accessories such as a rocket blower and filters. Fitting my Ipad was a very tight proposition but can be done. The bag provides a decent assortment of outer pockets for money, ID, keys, phone, etcthat I found convenient when on the move in a city. The outer bag clasps will prevent an accidental spill of the camera when you open the bag, a good carryover from other models (I once saw a guy drop a D700 from a different brand sling bag because it did not have these clasps). The design of the bag allows it to fit very comfortably on your back, or even when "slinging" the bag to your front. The strap is designed in such a way that it is very comfortable while avoiding the "man boob" look larger guys have to contend with. The bag also utlizes a cross strap to keep the bag from swinging at all. Internal pockets on the inside of the flap hold memory cards. The bottle holder on the side of the bag is very small and does not hold any of my water bottles.

As always, camera bags are about compromise in response to specific applications. That is why I have been known to collect them over the years. In this case, you will have to limit what you carry (stating the obvious here). In return, you will have a great bag for urban street shooting or commuting on public transportation.

I am thrilled with this bag. I had been looking at buying the Lowepro version, but found this. I am a brand freak, but I couldn't pass up this deal. Based on other reviews, I decided to buy it. I made a great choice. I have only had it for a few days, so I cannot attest to longevity, but the build is fabulous. I actually took it to a camera store where I was having a class and compared it to the Lowepro version and only saw minor cosmetic differences. The gal working at the store actually was looking at my bag trying to figure out when they changed the zipper pulls on the Lowepro given that they are the only noticeable difference. So if you have been looking at the Lowepro 200AW, or even the 100AW, stop looking and order this one instead.

If you are interested, in the main compartment I have a Nikon D40 with 35mm lens attached, 18-55mm, 55-200mm, SB-400 flash, battery charger and cables. Top pocket has a couple filters in their cases and some paperwork with lots of room to spare. The only thing I have in the front pocket is a Lenspen and a couple pens. There is plenty of space in this bag.

One other thing, the company has very fast shipping. I ordered on Sunday, it shipped out Monday afternoon, had it on Wednesday. They ship from New York and I am in Oregon. Out the door and across the country in 3 days is incredibly impressive to me.

Edit on 4/9/10 Thought I would update this. I am so happy I bought this bag. I just got back from a trip to Pittsburgh and this bag was with me the whole time. It fit beautifully under the seat on the plane. Was very easy to take off. I carried it almost everywhere and even though I had all my equipment with me the weight was barely noticeable. The strap and back of the pack are very well padded. I love the easy access to my camera. I had several times I may have missed a shot, but I just swung the pack around, unzipped the camera, and shot away. Very cool!! My only complaint is there is really nowhere to stick a tripod, but that is only a minor issue to me. I still highly recommend this to everyone.

This camera bag is very compact and have nice room for storage. The only downside to this bag is that it does not have an efficient way to store a tripod. One thing I really like about this bag though, is that in the bottom there is a pull-out rain bag that is attached to the camera bag, so you can walk in the rain and not get your bag wet. All in all, I give this camera bag a 4/5. It is a great starter and intermediate bag.

Bought this item after a long search. Worked great on the plane to Florida and then through Disneyworld and Sea World. Fit small dslr, extra batteries, cables, iPod, headphones and a few snacks. Distributes weight well like a backpack but swings easy to front to get the camera or other items. Comes in handy because I felt I never missed a shot. Plus I didn't have to take it off for a bus ride or park ride just swing it to the front. Plus the rain bag was handy for the water rides and short pm shower. Since I don't have extra camera lenses it left room for more stuff in the main compartment which you can configure to you liking. I even fit q book for the plane ride. Overall a good design and size. Room for tripod on the outside. Doesn't have a place for a water bottle but you can cetainly hang one off the side which I will do in the future.

No problems. Fast delivery, great product. I fit a Nikon D90, a D40, and a small SB-400 flash and 4 lenses in the bag with no problem.

Excellent item! Compared to its high dollar competition this goes head to head. Small differences that you can only see if comparing side by side i.e. zipper pulls. Built in rain cover is great works perfect for travel short or long trips. Had to improvise a little to get tripod on it but other than that I have zero complaints.

Bought this because I didn't want to carry my full-size camera bag on a recent trip to Hawaii. The Tamrac Velocity 7X sling pack worked beautifully. I have Nikon D90 and I brought along a 55-200mm kit lens and a 35mm prime lens, as well as charger/spare battery/cable, two filters, and a lens hood. Everything fit easily, and I could have brought more stuff if I wanted to, although another lens would have been challenging.

Pros: portable, reasonably comfortable, and easy to access your camera without taking it off. It was soooo much more comfortable than my full photo backpack, and the fact that I didn't have to take it off to get my camera was a huge plus. It also fit into my regular non-photo backpack nicely, though tightly, for airplane carry-on, with some room in my backpack for other stuff. Interior has three configurable regions (with moveable vinyl & velcro rectangles); it's awkward to reconfigure but versatile. You could in theory take all the rectangles out and just have a big open space, if you wanted. I stored my spare lens in one section, camera with lens in the middle overlapping the third region where I hid my charger/spare battery/power cable. It also has a small zippered region in the top flap which I stored filters in. The front pocket had limited space (I put my memory card, small lens hood, and sometimes my cell phone there). Once I got the strap the right length, it was very easy to swing it from back to front (to access camera) and then to back again. It also has a hidden waist strap to keep it from bouncing as you walk, though I didn't really need that much.

Cons: As other reviewers have noted, it doesn't balance well on its own on the ground, making loading it up slightly more awkward than necessary. I generally loaded and unloaded it while wearing it. Some females may find the chest strap uncomfortable because of where it rests (my wife didn't like it). The top zipper can be a little tough to open and close; this was mainly just an annoyance. I found it was not super water-proof (fine for light drizzles; not so great for downpours). Size limitations (obviously); though that's sort of the point If you want more space, use a bigger pack :) Very large diameter or very long lenses may not fit well; the ones I took were 52mm; I have a wide-angle lens that I didn't bring but tested out in the pack. It was a much tighter fit.

In summary, this pack won't carry all your gear, but it will carry some of your gear very well and very comfortably. Recommended.

I am new to dSLRs and bought this for my first camera, a Nikon D5100. I have the kit lens (18-55mm) and one additional lens (55-300mm). Both lenses fit in this bag plus the camera with a whole extra space on one side. I dont have a whole lot of other gear. The zippers and snaps are a little difficult to open, but I think I will adjust to them. I like how lightweight this bag feels with all my gear in it and I feel like everything is protected fairly well. I would reccommend this product to others.

I really like that the camera and my biggest lens are in shooting position when I pull it out of the bag!

I read about a lot of bags before I chose this one. I took the dimensions of my camera and took into consdieration the bulkiness of other bags. I also wanted something that could be completely zipped shut so I wouldn't have to worry about gear falling out the top/sides when I set this bag down. I think this bag wears really well so I won't have sore shoulders on longer outings. I also love that it doesn't scream expensive camera bag.

Best Deals for Tamrac 5767 Velocity 7x Photo Sling Pack - Gray/Burgundy

I use a full frame camera, namely the Canon EOS 1Ds Mark II, and before buying this bag I tried to read in Tamrac website to see if it supports full frame cameras or not but I didn't find anything about this point. When the bag reached me I discovered that it was not designed for full frame cameras. The only way I was able to use it was by removing all the separators inside it, but this resulted in 2 problems: (1) the camera with a lens attached to it (EF 28-70mm f/2.8) used almost all the bag space which means no more space to put anything else in the bag like another lens or a flash, (2) the camera stuck a little inside that made it not easy to remove from the bag which was a little against the idea of velocity that the bag was designed for.

To be fair with the quality, the bag takes 5 stars in quality as all Tamrac bags are very well made (I own other Tamrac bags as well). But since I wanted it for my full frame camera I rated it 3 stars. They should have mentioned that boldly so one knows before buying it.

To accommodate my self, since on hiking I usually keep my camera on my neck I am planning to use the bag for lenses and filters which in that case makes it easy for me to change the lenses or filters in a velocity way especially if I am alone. In other words I am not very sad that I bought it but I would have been much happier if it was designed for full frame as well.

Finally, for sure I will buy more Tamrac bags in the future because they are really well made and heavy duty.

This is what I was looking for: a bag that can carry my essentials when I'm out and about. It's durable, protective, comfortable to carry when I'm on a long walking excursion, and the sling design and top opening provides easy in-and-out access to my camera (a Nikon D7000 with a big 18-300 zoom lens). It's also easy to sling the pack towards my back when I'm wearing the camera outside of the case, so it doesn't interfere with walking around or taking pictures. I can carry the camera with lens and filters attached, a smaller point and shoot digital camera, chargers for both, cleaning accessories, and a spare battery. If I don't take the smaller camera, I can take the flash unit for the Nikon instead. No room for extra lenses or other gadgets, so this probably isn't the case for storing all your gear, but as a carry around it does the job well. As I recall, it comes in several sizes; this was the one I needed because of the big lens. Other sizes might be more suitable for other needs, so I would recommend actually trying several sizes with the equipment you want to carry before deciding which one to buy.

I bought an expensive digital camera and I didnt want it getting scratched up in my purse (you never know when you need your camera right?)so I looked everywhere for a matching case that wasnt junk. This case is perfect size, the velcro strap holds my camera in place, so when I'm frantically opening case to grab a shot, my camera doesn't go flying out! Also has a mesh holder that is PERFECT for an extra SD card, or if I had one, an extra battery. I highly recommend this case, well worth the money!

This case seems to be of very good quality. The stitching is great, and the quality of the leather is very nice. The inside is soft-lined and protects the camera well. Keep in mind it is not padded, so don't expect it to help if the camera is dropped onto a hard surface from a distance. But it does cover the camera well, including the corners. The snaps seem to be a good quality brass. The camera with 14mm lens and lens cover fit just right into the case. The supplied strap is also good quality and the length is somewhat adjustable.

Overall I am very happy with this case.

The case came quickly, very nice hard shell. I did not get the green braclet like they said it would come with. The pocket inside the case for the extra battery is a little to loose I think the elastic should be tighter.

I like this case. It has a secure strap for the camera and mesh pockets on the inside to keep extra batteries. The outer case has a nice texture that is easy to hold and is of good quality.I have it almost 2 ears now and still looks new. The one problem this didn't get 5 stars is that because its hard and not flexible, not much else can squeeze in the case even if there may be room on the sides to stick a 2nd extra battery even though there is the slot for it.

This generic camera case is a very nice for the price but is much too small for any of the Canon Powershot cameras like the A600 series. Make sure to measure your camera prior to ordering a case. I would return it but since I didn't measure, it was my fault.

I was a little apprehensive buying this camera case based on the other reviews, which stated that it was too small for a lot of cameras. Since the price was so low I bought this one as well as a Case Logic case in the event that this one would not fit the camera. However, this case fit my Canon Powershot A2200 perfectly; in fact it fit my camera better than the case logic one. By the way, the dimensions for my camera 3 1/2 long by 2 1/4 width by 3/4 thick, in case it helps.

This is a great camera bag. I bought this bag because I am going to be doing some traveling and wanted a bag the was capable of holding my camera equipment as well as my13 inch lap top and some other items. This bag got the job done, I was able to fit everything I needed into it and have now for the most part relegated my laptop and camera backpack to my pile do unused bags.

I was looking at this bag and the Crumpler 8 Million Dollar Home which appears to have been discontinued by Crumpler but is still available here on Amazon. The winning point on this bag was that I could go and check it out at my local camera shop which was not the case with the Crumpler.

Storage wise, just for fun I arranged the compartment which is completely configurable to you needs and managed to fit, albeit a little tight and I probably would Tavel this way, the following items.

D7100 with 18-200mm attached in one slot with a separator on the bottom half of one side where I placed my Tokina 11-16 with hood! That a wide lens especially with the hood on.

Slot 2 has my Nikkor 105 f2.8 D and my Rokinon 8mm fisheye

Slot 3 has my 35mm F/1.8 and my 70-300 lens

In one side pocket I placed the laptop power pack and in the other my SB600 speed light with stand

In the main front compartment I have a number of miscellaneous items including a rocket blower, filters and a handful of other items. I have even been able to get my iPad 3in there as well.

The shoulder strap is excellent and very comfortable, I do nor regret this purchase at all and highly recommend!

The only down side is lack of straps for a tripod but hardly that much of a problem.
