he case was ideal for the pentax wg-1, will help keep the camera secure easy to open and close, only issue is the battery netting should have a closure to keep extra batteries from falling out, other than that very good

It is a very tight fit for this camera and all straps from the camera must be removed before it will fit. Unfortunately it's really the only product on Amazon for this camera. It's durable and works, but a better product could have been produced.

I was wanting a small case that could easily fit in my purse, but was colorful as well and I found it here. It's a soft case and doesn't have a ton of padding, but it definitely does it's job of protecting the screen from scratches.

I got the green case, and while it's called "neon," it's more of a light lime green so don't worry about it being super blinding.

I really like this case. It's small and doesn't feel bulky, but it still protects the camera. The tripod and screen protector also work well.

A great little camera case. I have not forgotten my camera since purchasing such a bright case. In addition, the neoprene is so spongelike that I feel that my camera is very well protected. Love this little case. I highly recommend this purchase!

Honest reviews on 3n1 Combo Kit - Mini Neoprene Sleeve Case for Canon Camera Canon

I bought this because it claims to be the right size for most of the newer Canon Powershots. I have the SD780, and this case could probably fit two of them in it! I do like the outside pouch for holding an extra battery or memory card, but I would definitely check the measurements on your camera before purchasing this case. (I guess I'm at fault for not doing the same for my own!)

It offers great protection. Where the camera goes it is a perfect fit so the camera is not moving around a everywhere. There is also an additional pocket for extra batteries and other things you would need. It is great, my boyfriend loves it.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I am a big fan of Lowepro cases. Pretty much as soon as I get a new camera or device, I buy a Lowepro case to go with it. Lowepro has always impressed me with it's thoughtful designs, good looks, and good value. That being said, the Santiago 20 EVA-padded foam case just missed on being a great case for ultracompact cameras.

PROS:

Great hard shell protection

Includes low profile belt loop

Also includes shoulder strap

Soft interior to prevent LCD's from scratching

CONS:

Poor zipper design

Closed belt loop

Amazon only provides the exterior dimensions so here are the interior dimensions first:

4.1W X 0.8D X 2.6H in.

Overall, I thought Lowepro did a good job of designing an EVA case that will work well for many subcompact cameras available today. It provides great protection in a small but solid case. When you hold the empty case, you really notice the heft, but not so much that it is cumbersome to carry. Unfortunately, I am forced to use the Santiago 20 case very very carefully. What normally is a strength in Lowepro design, is the Santiago 20's drawback.

The zippers are a chore to open and close at the corners. It glides smooth enough at the bottom but once you get to the corners, they stick. You have to really give it a strong tug to get past the corners. This poor operation dampens an otherwise good case. Can you imagine while trying to close the case, it slips from your hands and your camera goes flying out of the case? Also, this is just a personal preference, but the low profile belt loop is closed, meaning you must unbuckle your belt to thread it in and out. I prefer the velcro belt loops that allow you to put it on and off your belt while still holding up your pants.

This case is perfect for my new Canon SX230 HS. The camera fits snugly without moving around or extra bulk on the case, and there is a little pocket that will fit a battery or SD card (or both if you want to cram). The spare battery sits nicely next to the lens barrel, so the total thickness doesn't change.

Once zipped up, the hard shell case with the camera in it feels very solid, but is still small enough to fit in my pocket. It has a belt loop if you are into that sort of thing...(I'm not)... but it is small and flat and stays out of my way, so that's a positive.

The camera's wrist strap can hang out between the two zippers. I like to leave one zipper all the way to one side, then it's super quick to unzip the other and get the camera out. I have always used Velcro cases for my cameras for fast access, but I feel like the zipper on this one is well built and I can get the camera out just as fast plus it protects better than a Velcro case.

Best Deals for Santiago 20 Camera Case by Lowepro

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Last year I bought my wife an excellent digital camera. She is pleased with the camera but wants to safeguard it from being broken. I thought that a good, secure camera case could be the solution.

The Lowepro Santiago Camera Case is acceptable but has several problems. First the case is a tight fit for the camera. It is hard to get the camera into elastic strap that acts as a holder to keep the camera secure.

Second, the zipper that closes the case works hard, even when case is empty. It is tough because of the hard padding, but the padding is necessary for protection.

Third, the shoulder strap has a latch on only one side of the case. If the hook eye loses strength the camera could fall. It would be better to have the weight distributed with a second tab. It is also tough to use when the case is hanging around your neck.

Fourth the belt loop is tight. The case fits but taking camera out when on belt is difficult. The belt loop however works better than the shoulder strap.

The Lowepro Santiago Camera Case does protect the camera well. It provides good padding. I plan to use this case to protect the camera while traveling. However, I will put the cased camera into a larger bag for safe transport.

As I suggested it is very hard to get the camera into the case. While struggling I took a picture of my thumb. Anyone want a good thumb print?

Honest reviews on Santiago 20 Camera Case by Lowepro

I was looking for well-fitting, high-quality case that would fit my new Canon Powershot S100 like a glove, but with just enough room for a spare battery and without having to fight to open and close it. The Lowepro Santiago 20 was perfect. I don't think the fit could be any more ideal, and I also like the features of the low-profile belt loop and lanyard/shoulder strap attachment ring.

I originally planned to attach a wrist strap to the attachment ring to make it a little more secure to tote around in-hand; however, I quickly realized that it was eaiser to simply let the camera's wrist strap poke out of the case between the zipper pulls and carry it from that. It's also easier to pull the camera out of the case and ensure you won't fumble it as you can already have its wrist strap in-hand.

The spare battery fits perfectly inside the interior accessory pocket at the opposite end of the lens protrusion of the Canon S100. It would also be reasonable to carry an extra sd card; though a slightly tighter fit.

A pleasant surprise was the elastic band inside the case. Though I wasn't originally clear on its function, I now realize that it serves to gently position the camera away from the inside shell of the case when you open it, therefore making the camera easier to pick up it doesn't get stuck in one half of the open case nice touch!

Couldn't be happier with this.

Amazon listed this case as being for a Canon sx260 camera and one of the reviewers mentioned that it was a tight fit. I found that the camera was too large to fit in the case no way I was going to force it.

This hard shell case for my new digital camera takes away some of the worry of damage to the camera if I drop it. It comes in an assortment of really nice colors but I selected a safe navy blue. The case has an inside pocket big enough to hold two replacement batteries; unfortunately, not big enough to also hold the camera's charger. The case has a carbineer to attach it almost anywhere and as an added bonus, it came with a "Courage" wrist-band. Nice purchase; glad I bought it.

This looks like a well made case and would be exactly what I want, but it's to small. The description says it would fit a DSLR with lens up to 5.5". I interpreted this to mean the lens should not exceed 5.5". My Nikon D7000 with the 4" 18-105mm kit lens would not fit. Checking the Clik Elite website I found this size is designed for camera and lens total length not to exceed 6.5". The D7000 with lens is 7" without the lens hood, or about .5" to long. That is about what it looked like in the holster. The top would zip closed but it was a tight fit with nothing in the top storage compartment. The other dimensions were OK. I will be sending this back and ordering the CE703.

I've been looking for something like this for quite a while now. Good storage for my DSLR camera while bushwalking, without having it bouncing around unprotected because previously it was just hanging around my neck. It's also great that I don't have to unpack my backpack (if I've stored it in there) each time I wanted a shot. Harness is adjustable, although I still haven't tried adjusting it straight to my backpack.

Bag is large enough that I can put other things in there like money or ID cards.

Disregard the "cheaper design" comments, Lowepro still makes good camera bags. And I think this is an almost ideal size for a camera bag. The way I have it laid out, the main compartment carries a Rebel XT with battery grip with Sigma 18-200mm lens attached, flash, Canon 50mm lens, Sigma 10-20mm lens, Pentax ME Super, plus an extra lens for that as well as a little stockpile of film. More than enough for most outings.

I had originally picked up the Rezo 190, not realizing that the Nova was such an improvement in the design. Avoid the Rezo line and go with the Nova. The additional pockets are great, I can hold all the little extras like wipes, memory cards, USB cable, charger, batteries and I still have room left over. The shoulder strap is awesome as is the carrying handle, and there is a sleeve that you can use to slide the bag on top of your rolling luggage and its got its own rain cover built in.

This is probably the max size for walking-around carrying weight comfortably but it also allows for you to keep your options open. This is a great bag.

Edit: I should also note that the bag pictured is green, the chestnut brown bag is a nice "darker than khaki" brown that should hide the dirt and dust of a rugged life.

I own a Nikon D90 with a 18-200mm DX lens, 50mm F1.8, SB-600 flash and various accessories, and was looking for a sturdy and well-built bag. I had owned a no-name $20 bag I had purchased through an online retailer, and it began falling apart a few months later. That is when I decided that I could not risk damage to my precious and expensive gear, so I decided to invest in a better camera bag. After much research on the web, I settled on the Lowepro Nova 190AW. I have to say that I am extremely happy with this latest purchase from Amazon. $70 may seem like a lot of money for a camera bag, but consider how much you spent on the gear itself... it is definitely worth the money. This bag is not only sturdy, but it is well built and extremely well thought out too, including the built-in weather guard that pops out when you get caught in an unexpected downpour. All the padding and strap hooks are very durable and not cheaply made like my previous bag, everything about this bag's construction shouts quality. There is enough space for one DSLR, a couple of lenses and accessories, and you'll find plenty of pockets everywhere. This is the perfect walk-around bag for me, and it goes everywhere with me!

Best Deals for Lowepro Nova 190 AW Camera Bag (Chestnut Brown)

Lowepro bags are well made, durable, and well designed. The only caution I would have is to advise making sure you get one big enough; the first one I ordered was way too small for a digital slr, 3 lenses, and a flash. The 190 fits it all, but barely. Still, I would buy another one. Go with the pros.

Honest reviews on Lowepro Nova 190 AW Camera Bag (Chestnut Brown)

This is a well made bag. The material used feels like it will last a lifetime and it comes with a weatherproof built in rain cover. That's perfect for my new Pentax weather resistant K7. It is the perfect size for my K7 with 18-55mm kit lens, my 55-300mm zoom lens,a Sigma 30mm prime, flash unit, charger along with various cleaning accessories. I would say if I were to purchase more lenses I would have to purchase a larger bag. With the equipment I did purchase, I don't see that happening for quite some time as the lenses I did buy pretty much cover the gamut of what I intend to photograph.

I love this backpack. It's a great protection for our camera. It has many straps to fix tripod and additional accessories. I accidentally dropped the backpack while I was unloading the car but camera and lenses were absolutely ok. During our last trip we got drench in rain but internal part of backpack stayed dry.

I would highly recommend this product for anybody how owns one camera body and three lenses.

For those who are worried if the backpack it too small:

I own Canon 50D which is quite large body, then telephoto lens 200-500 mm and other two smaller lenses. If I add two hoods and battery charger the backpack is pretty much full. There is a front pocket for keys and wallet and some other small bits but that's all.

This is Tamrac's model 5374 "Adventure 74" pack. They also have a whole Adventure series of various sizes this is not one of them. This backpack is simply great. It's well made and very versatile, with lots of moveable velcro dividers so you can customize it. Mine holds a Sony a300 with 28-300 lens attached, 70 Macro, 10-20 zoom, large flash unit, ringlight, extra battery with charger, 4 extra memory cards, filter wallet with 6 filters, bounce card, remote release, lens cleaning supplies, lens hoods, "Magic Lantern" guide, and several other small cords and gadgets. Used on a recent snowshoe outing, it was secure and comfortable to carry. The flip side is that it doesn't simply slip off when you need to get into it, but I'm OK with that. I haven't tried carrying a tripod with it yet but a friend who has a bigger version of this pack reports that it works well for him.

Best Deals for Tamrac 5374 Rust/Black Adventure 74 Photo Backpack (Rust/Black)

I had seen the larger version of this backpack (the 75) and it seemed to be very flexible and well made, so I sought out the 74. Of course, I think they are discontinuing this line and calling it the Explorer or something, but this is a great pack. The way the digital SLR fits in there is great and the soft velcro dividers are easily customizable. The zippers are great and the fact that it works with Tamrac's accessory system is a bonus. Perfect side for the beginning DSLR photographer to grow into.

Honest reviews on Tamrac 5374 Rust/Black Adventure 74 Photo Backpack (Rust/Black)

I bought this backpack based on another recommendation herein that it would hold my DSLR body (Nikon D80), regular lens, 75-300mm zoom lens, and especially a 200-500mm lens (I have the Tamrac). This is exactly what I have and wanted to carry.

Well, my stuff barely fits VERY snug to the point I'm a little wary. And it does not hold the 200-500mm hood at all.

The 5375 might have given me more room, but it looked like the 5374 would work OK and it was ~$30 less.

Anyway, be aware that if you have 200-500mm Zoom, it may not fit to your liking.

Discount Think Tank Speed Freak V2.0 Waist Pack

Think Tank Speed Freak V2.0 Waist Pack
Customer Ratings: 5 stars
Buy Now
The original Speed Freak (V1) was my go to bag for any event work I do. It was comfortable, held as much stuff as I needed with plenty of room to spare, was very well laid out, built like a tank, and didn't look at all large or cumbersome. Version 2 (V2) makes some things better and simplifies others.

I'll provide a video comparison shortly and wanted to post the text now when it might do the most good.

The big differences are:

Waist belt: V1 had a rather bulky belt with both halves tucked into a pocket in the back of the bag. V2 has a thinner belt that tucks into separate Velcro and zipper sealed pockets along the sides. (Zippers hold the pockets closed when the belt is stowed and Velcro when it's in use. That gives you two more usable pockets.) The result is the V2 bag is considerably thinner when the belt is stowed. The V2 belt also more comfortable, conforms better to my waist, and makes for a better and more secure fit.

Shoulder strap: V2 adds some anti-slip material. Also, the V2 buckles are "beefier" and much easier to adjust.

Interior padding: V1 allowed you to remove a layer of padding (which I always did to get additional space). V2 has it permanently attached. However, the padding that is permanently attached is a bit denser than with V1 and there are less layers of material since the Velcro needed to hold the V1 removable lining in place is eliminated. The result is the internal volume of the V2 bag with padding is about the same as the V1 bag without.

The two end pockets on the V1 are mesh and solid material with the V2. The result is with the V2 nobody sees what you have there. For me it's usually a lens cap and a light meter.

The top zipper that runs across the top and which many people don't understand is still there. It's one of the best features of the bag. Please indulge me while I explain. It's not meant to allow you to move a camera in and out of the bag, something I've seen complaints about. (Grammar, who needs it :) ) What it does do is allow you to change lenses while the top flap remains closed.

Zipper pulls are plastic tabs instead of knotted cord. (OK, this isn't a "big difference".)

If you already have a V1 all this may not be reason enough to "upgrade". And unfortunately because of they way they build these things (like tanks) your old bag isn't likely to wear out any time soon. However, if you are looking for a versatile mid-sized bag with lots of features and were on the fence before, these changes may be enough to sway your opinion.

Are you serious? I had a Lowepro bag for about a year now till I decided to spend some money on the Thinktank brand since many photographers seem to love it. I have to tell you that I will be nearly impossible for me to go with a different brand. The engineering that goes into the Thinktank bags is exceptional.

Thinktank thinks of everything and on top of that they throw in a rain cover for every bag. The material is strong and feels very professional. Attention to detail is what photographers are known for, and the Thinktank brand brings it in their bags.

The speed freak v2 is just what I was looking for; I usually carry it on my waist, and I remove the shoulder strap. Inside the bag in the center I have a Canon 60D with a Canon 24-70 L 2.8 hood reverse, on the left of the camera a Sigma 70-200 hood reverse with a lens collard, on the right of the camera a Canon 430EX Flash and a Rocket Air Blaster (Large), in the front I have a few filters and a battery charger. To the belt I attached a Benro Travel Angel tripod A0690T. There is more room on the side pockets and more space in the belt for attachments, but I want to move light so my set up works for me.

The ease of access and the weight distribution to the hips makes this bag the perfect solution for a long day of shooting. Yes the price seems high if you never had a Thinktank bag, but once you buy it you will never buy another brand.

Best Deals for Think Tank Speed Freak V2.0 Waist Pack

This is my first Think Tank purchase. I twisted and twisted on if i should spend this much on another bag, but being the proud owner of a closet full of camera bags by Lowepro, Crumpler and Domke, i gave in and gave them a try.

My first impression was WOW.

Then i realised that the people who made this bag thinks about what they are going to make, and taught alot about the photographer that is going to use it.

The quality and craftsman ship on this bag is outstanding, and actually makes it look as if it is as strong as a tank.

So this bag manufacture deserves to call themselves Think Tank.

It was a pleasure to see that it can comfortably fit my

In the centre Nikon D300s with 17-55 lens attached, hood reversed.

to the left side Nikon 70-300 vr lens and sb900 flash.

to the right side Nikon 35 lens ans Sigma 8-16.

The only negative i found on this bag is that it made all my other bags oboslete.

Its the best of two worlds

A shoulder bag for accessability, with a built in waist strap for security and comfort.

UPDATE 21st july 2011

FWIW even with the same stuff listed above in the bag, the D300s with grip fits. the bag will loose its kidney shape, but will still close comfortably.

Honest reviews on Think Tank Speed Freak V2.0 Waist Pack

The Think Tank Speed Freak bag, sized between the smaller Speed Demon and the larger Speed Racer, is highly functional, comfortable, and rugged.

First, functionality: In the main compartment, which I divided into three sections with the provided padded dividers, I can carry the following: in one end section, a Canon f/4 70-200 zoom lens with hood; in the other end section, a wide-angle lens on its side, and below it, separated by a horizontal padded separator, a cleaning kit and other small items (if your wide-angle lens is large, you may have to store it vertically); and in the center section, a Canon 60D with a Canon 24-105 zoom mounted. The bag also has a surprising number of external and internal compartments for filters, cards, batteries, and other gear. Two external mesh compartments will hold either lenses for quick access, or water bottles, a folded hat, etc. The zippered top of the main compartment opens toward you, which makes gear access much easier. A nice touch: The bag has its own, built-in rain cover.

Next, comfort: The bag has a curved shape that fits snugly against your hip and distributes the pressure against your body. The shoulder strap is nicely contoured, well padded, and has a grippy material on the underside that holds it in place. The loaded bag feels lighter than it is. A wide waist strap, which tucks neatly out of sight when not in use, provides extra support and secures the bag more tightly against you when you need it. Frankly, I thought I'd use the waist strap more than I have; the only time I think I'll need it will be when I wear the bag for long periods or take it on hikes, where a free-swinging bag is a bother.

Finally, ruggedness: This bag is built like a tank. The fabric is very tough, the zippers and clips are oversize, and the construction quality is very high.

I had the benefit of trying on several bags and sling packs before choosing this one, which went quickly to the top of the pack.

I have several camera bags and all serve different purposes. This bag is the most versatile and well designed of all of them. It has gobs of well designed and secure storage compartments. On the front of the bag is a strong zippered pocket to hold pen, spare memory cards (I use a pixel pocket rocket, love it and it secures to a loop in this pocket). The included rain pouch is stored neatly here. The inners of the bag are highly configurable. My 70-200 zoom fits in the bag with hood removed, standing up. My D200 will stand without lens attached vertically and in the last compartment I can store a strobe, spare lens. There is also another space inside of the back of the bag that is secured at the top with velcro. In there I put my camera manual and filters. The filters are well protected in there with much padding. On each side of the bag are neoprene pockets that comfortably hold a water bottle, and my Seconic light meter. The strap is sturdy and adjustable with nonslip material that is brilliant. I can sling the bag around to rest on the small of my back and it stays there. I have not used the included storable belt but will give it a run the next time I use the bag. I have no doubt it will work well, and if I leave the strap on it will provide additional support since I can cinch the strap tight to hold up the belt and bag. Padding is excellent, all will be secure. Oh, inside of the top flap is an opaque zippered pocket in which I put spare batteries and my eyepiece cover. This bag is well thought out and just awesome. It makes carrying the kit a joy. I love think tank products. I also own the street walker pro hard drive and it is the most comfortable backpack I have EVER used going back to the old book days in college. Wish I had it then. Cheers.
