some features that i didn't expect: it's nice and easy to insert my mp3 player (coby brand). there's a opening at the top and bottom for your ear phone jack. it comes with a lanyard. i wear it while exercising, so the neoprene dries quickly (from the sweat). i like the tag/loop in the back. it's where i tuck in my excess ear-bud wire.

The primary reason I don't really like this case is how tight it fits everything. I can't figure out what this would fit. It's super tight on digital cameras and all I can say is to check the size of your item and remember this is a neoprene case. It's not as big as the description says because it has to wrap around the item you're putting in it. That's what makes it smaller than it seems.

I bought two, one for my gameboy micro and another for whatever. Fits the gameboy micro PERFECTLY. Turns out it fits my Kodak V603 perfectly as well. This thing is awesome, I'm ordering more right after I finish this review.

Honest reviews on Case Logic UNP-2 Universal Neoprene Pocket - Medium (BLACK)

The only reason I got one of these tonight is because I'm waiting for the new iskins to come out(I don't trust those 5 gen ones to fit after all the click wheel complaints they've had),and just need something to get me by for now. I saw these in the isle with the other case logic stuff for cd players, etc, seperate from the mp3 section.I lucked out by passing by that section again before I left, after looking at the mp3 section and seeing nothing special, and it's a good thing that I did because the first time I hadn't looked at any color of these neoprene cases but black--that one was $10 and the rest were marked down to $2! Pretty sweet,so I got the silver medium one(they only had mediums)and a "catch-all" pouch to hold the pod in the car while it's hooked up to the stereo's aux input with the money I saved. I think it must be meant for a smaller version(I have the 160 gig),because it's snug as all hell, and seems like it is on the brink of tearing when I put it on,but it's better than having a bare player exposed to stuff. It's very basic and has a large slit at the top for 'phones and one tiny hole at the bottom for 'phones on older models(?)The case covers everything when it's on,so that's good for protection, but you can only see half the screen when you flip up the top part of the case and can't see what you're doing well. The click wheel doesn't work through it,obviously, but you can still click the buttons fine;no access to the hold button though.Sucks that you have to take the whole ipod out each time you wanna change a playlist or what-have-you,so I'll have to figure everything out before I plop it in there, but for a few bucks it's small beans considering it's a short-term fix.It comes with a lanyard clip and belt loop which is convenient.

Basic protection from scratches and short falls I guess.

This case fits my camera (canon powershot sd1100) perfectly, and it seems very sturdy with decent padding. I like that you have the option of the long shoulder strap (removable) or a "belt loop" on the back which considering the tiny size of the case could actually be put on a belt and not get in the way too much. My only complaint is that the inner zip pocket could be a bit more roomy. I keep my spare battery (NB-4L which isn't very thick)in there and it's a tight squeeze. A memory card would certainly fit fine though. Overall I find this to be a good value case that suits my needs just fine. Would recommend.

This is a very nice generic camera case for the smaller point and shoot cameras. It's pretty light and compact. Decent padding on all four sides. The workmanship is excellent stitches are straight without loose threads. This is a good looking camera case. It comes with a detachable shoulder strap and a built in belt strap. The cover closes with a velcro square. There is a also a small zipper pocket that lets you store an small extra battery and/or SD card (that's probably about it). Great case to go with my new little P&S camera (Fuji J28). (Note: The blue color is kinda darker blue than you would think from the Amazon picture.) (Two pics posted.)

Best Deals for Case Logic DCB-16 BLUE Compact Camera Case - Blue

This is a nice small camera case that came with Amazon's Fuji FinePix J28 camera package deal over Thanksgiving. The case actually looks darker blue than what is pictured on Amazon, as one previous reviewer indicated. The construction and interior padding is good. Everyone else has mentioned all of the good points. Not much more to add other than it is a smaller type camera case. Keep in mind that the dimensions are 2.8 x 1.2 x 3.8 inches when sizing it for your camera. The additional zippered pocket is good for only a couple of memory chips or a flat lithium type battery.

Honest reviews on Case Logic DCB-16 BLUE Compact Camera Case - Blue

This case is nice in appearance, but it is a tight fit with my Fuji Finepix camera....which is a small camera. Most modern digital cameras are about the size of my Finepix, so I imagine a tight fit in general. The velcro flap closure only partly comes together as the camera sticks out slightly from the top. There is one very small pocket on this that might fit an extra battery or memory card. The case will serve its purpose however.

Since I've personally drifted into the world of digital SLRs, I've forgotten what it's like to review compact point/shoot cameras. And in that time, I've forgotten how good Case Logic products are. Sure, they lack the beauty of some cases, but they just work and work well.

I bought this as part of a bundle to house a Fuji Finepix J28 as a gift for a relative, and it fits in just fine. The front zipper can hold an extra SD card or an extra battery for the camera if you don't mind a tight squeeze.

Overall, it's a $10 bag that works very well without the fanfare of more expensive cases.

Great little case. I was looking for something fairly "minimalist" that would keep my camera essentials together on the go. It's just large enough to house my Canon S100, a battery charger, an extra battery, and two memory cards.

The front and back are quite stiff. I wouldn't drop a cinder block on it, but it seems like it can take a decent hit (certainly absorb standard jostling and wear and tear). It also has decent padding on the internal main compartment.

Velcro belt loop and included shoulder strap mean you can move this thing around as needed.

After looking everywhere, I found this case which is perfect for my new Canon SX210IS. It provides a hard molded exterior on both front and back and my camera fits perfectly, along with an extra battery and memory card. While it is larger than my case for my Fuji Finepix J10, it is still small enough to fit in my purse. I purchased a soft case with the camera, but it did not offer any storage for extras and I did not feel it was safe enough to protect my camera while in my purse.

I purchased a Lowepro Model REZO50BK case for my canon sx210 it fit snug, the zippers were way to hard to open and close. When I saw this one I had to get it and am glad I did. This case is perfect it holds the camera extra battery and it also will hold the charger in the front pocket.

The face and back are rigid the sides soft. Seems to me like it will protect my camera much better, considering the screen on it is glass not plastic like many others. I give it 4 stars. The zipper by the way is smooth and operates freely. The belt loop is Velcro and simple to take on and off. The neck strap will also be handy.Great little case here

On a side note I ordered this yesterday Saturday. It was delivered today on Sunday WOW with prime free 2 day shipment. Way to go Amazon !!!!

This case is ok. As for the features I think it hits the mark. As for clipping to your belt the case is not ridged enough to stay close to you like a cell phone case does. Since it pulls away from your belt I catch it and have had it fall off.

It would be better for me if the belt clip was closer to the top, instead of being centered on the back of the case.

I had purchased a compact Panasonic DMC ZR1 and actually contacted LowePro for help. Emailed my camera dimensions and model. Got back 3 choices, which saved me going through the many choices they have. I then read the reviews and was grateful that people gave the camera models they had for the case in question. This helped me figure out how the inside dimensions would work with my camera. I could look up their camera and dimensions and work from there. By comparing their camera dimensions and comments on fit to mine I knew that this case was my best choice. BTW my camera dimensions are: 3 3/4" (W) x2 1/4" (H) x 1" (D). I took into account the zoom lens sticking out some and chose this case. Not too tight. Not too loose. Just right. Thanks to Lowepro for their help and to all the reviewers. A great case. Protects the camera and gives versatility with its carry options. Just right for my needs.

An inanimate womb for my Nikon camera's and Lens. The foam is very easy to form and craft, however plan very carefully because mistakes are fixable but use caution, save your foam! The case is lockable (I use medium Master 131T Locks) and also has a location for a shoulder strap if necessary. Construction is military grade and is, as stated, waterproof. I chose the light grey color, favoring black, however in the summer the heat and sun may cook the contents with black. I am very pleased with this purchase and from a standpoint of longevity it should last the life of the camera and protect the contents. By the way this case comfortabily fits my D90, Nissin Di866 Flash, Sigma 70-200 2.8, Nikon 18-105 3.5, Filters, Strap, Lens cleaners, and batteries.

I purchased this to hold my new CoolPix S3300 camera. Having seen it's remarkable price, I should have known . . . but . . . it was the closet item offered to what I was looking for (small, bright color, sturdy), despite the price. When it arrived I eagerly opened it only to realize that it was about 1/4-1/2 inch too small all the way around. I could barely push the zipper closed over the top, and it strained all the seams to do so. It's just simply too small for a CoolPix S3300. Cute, well made little case, but it definitely doesn't fit this camera.

Gear Tie Reusable Rubber Twist Ties from Nite Ize are perfect for temporarily wrapping up cords of appliances, computer equipment, or electronics (eg, headphones). And I do mean PERFECT! The flexibility is just right (flexible but firm) and the rubber coating is excellent... and there are some nice colors too.

I use them for tying up cords for my iPod headphones, rice maker, steam iron, computer cables, and about 100 other annoying electric cords found around the house. This is wonderful because the cords become neat little bundles that can easily be untied and used, and then tied up again, with ease. Cords of counterand desktop appliances no longer have cords hanging around. Headphone cables no longer become a tangled mess. Look around, I'll bet you can count 50 cords that could be tied up.

I say these ties are for temporary use because they are designed to be tied and untied, a million times or so. If you want to permanently tie your cords it's probably better, and surely cheaper, to use good old cable ties (sometimes called zip ties).

How about length? The 3 inch version is perfect for wrapping up iPod headphone or other VERY small cables. You'll be surprised how big (ie, circumference) a bundled cord can be so be careful with the 3 inch. This 6 inch version is just right for wrapping cords of coffee makers, lamps, and perhaps thinner vacuums and so forth. There's an 18 inch version that I've used in the garage for thick extension cords, cords from circular saws, and so forth.

I suppose the downsize is the cost. They are not dirt cheap. But for me the cost is dwarfed by the benefit.

I'm just so mad I didn't "invent" these!

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

I have not had them for a long time yet so I don't know about long term durability. So far though, I love them. I have several sizes and use them for all sorts of things. Even though they are called "gear ties" they can be used to prop things up and hold objects in a pinch. I use them as a sort of "extra hands" all the time. I've even propped up my phone or tablet on occasion. I've used them in my craft projects when I couldn't find anything else that would hold an item "just so" for me. Let's not forget though, they do work very well holding your gear together. I like that both bright and sober colors are available, depending upon what you need them for. I would not recommend them for cord control as they are just too expensive to get all that you need to do a good job. There are other products much more suited to that. Keep a couple with you. You won't be sorry.

Absoultely a wonderful idea. It works wonders to keep my cords clamped and organized! Just a bit expensive, made in america though so I'm ok with that.

Honest reviews on Nite Ize GT32-2PK-12 32-Inch Gear Tie, Pink, 2-Pack

Before finding these Nite Ize rubber twist ties, I had always used velcro wire ties for my computer cables. These are much easier and much more adaptable than a velcro wire tie.

Gura Gear Bataflae 32L Backpack, Tan
Customer Ratings: 4.5 stars
Buy Now
I have a hard time understanding why I'm the first to review one of these here, but here goes.

Note: prior backpack which I did love and still like is a LowePro Vertex 300AW, at a bit over a c-note cheaper...but in all honesty I think the quality difference has been worth it.

Bought this as a DSLR shooter with underwater gear who needs to really cram a lot of gear (bulky housings, arm components, underwater strobes) on top of the usual camera odds and ends. Read a review of Gura's earlier "Kibolo" backpack and was intrigued, but finally pulled the trigger with the new Bataflae. I was very intrigued by the Kibolo's sailcloth, and the Bataflae no longer claims to be made of that, but still is presented as a super lightweight yet strong approach to backpack construction. So...is it?

First note: this backpack, fully loaded, seems a bit smaller than my Vertex 300AW, which I was able to carry on even in relatively small commuter jets (e.g. from San Juan, PR, to Dominica). Part of the sensation of smallness is the very neat way the harness stows, and the way the top flaps seem not to 'bulge' out like the Vertex does when well packed. That said, it holds MORE, and empty, weighs significantly less.

The exterior fabric is thinner but seems to be a very sturdy rip-stop type nylon vs. the deeper cordura type weave on the Lowepro, almost like a tent fabric. (Oh, and tan, vs. black, is THE way to go if you don't want to be screaming "photo backpack!!" in the airport and carrying a sun and heat magnet on your back on the trail...why tan is "limited" when it seems to me to be a more neutral color that makes more sense in the elements, with your gear inside it would have gotten the Lowepro in it if I could I'll never understand). The harness padding might not seem as thick as the Lowepro's but it has all the necessary tensioning and positioning adjustments, is very comfortable, the waist-straps can dismount for a bit less bulk for day vs. longer hiking trips, and the strap stowing is superb and really streamlines the whole package (plus, with straps stowed, they're not getting nasty on the ground).

Internally the main body pocket is much deeper than in the Vertex 300AW, in part because there's no laptop sleeve taking up depth. My Ikelite housing needs a good 6.5ish inches and does much better in the Bataflae than in the Vertex as there's less wasted padding space. But if you want a laptop you might differ. There are a huge number of provided dividers in different sizes, and they seem fairly strong and provide sufficient padding without quite the thickness and bulk of the dividers in the Vertex. I do wish they had a couple other configurations in terms of velcro attachment points interior to the backpack back wall vs. the more limited strips, and wish they had at least one thick 'lens cuff' type pad provided to help support a big lens mounted ON a body, but that's a nitpick.

The top pockets don't offer quite as many preplanned nooks and crannies as the Vertex top flaps (for filters, batteries, and the like) but they get the job done. Zipper 'garages' are nice to prevent scratches and keep things tidy. The bungie strap for carrying a tripod isn't the greatest (as compared to the little 'holster' hard part supplied with the Vertex) but again, it gets the job done. There has to be *some* 'cost' in exchange for the empty weight reduction and increased storage space, doesn't there? The top and side (angled) handles are a bit weird feeling like a small pool noodle wrapped in nylon but seem strong and are actually fairly comfortable to use with the bag fully loaded...and they're certainly lighter than a big molded rubber grip.

I do worry just a little bit about how well the top central strap and plastic clip will hold up (that allow the Bataflae to convert from 'butterfly flaps' like the earlier Kibolo to 'fully open top' like the more classical Lowepro Vertex design), but the warranty is as iron clad as they can make it, so until I experience some sort of wear that's probably more fear than reality talking.

Dislikes: aside from the slight nitpick about tripod carrying, and perhaps internal layout (more limited velcro attach surfaces on the interior than I'd prefer), the price. This bag costs, there's no getting around that. I should probably downrate it one star...but I'm still in awe at how much bigger it is inside than outside. I have found my Bag of Holding (Mark I, tan, for photographic use).

This pack is very light. I've used it only for one trip to Yellowstone but it held up fine. I packed a Canon500mm f4.0 lens, 1D X, 100-400zoom, 85mm, 28-135zoom, 1.4x extender, 2x extender, extension tubes, flash, filters, blah blah blah. Total weight is about 35 lbs. At that weight, it is somewhat uncomfortable for me. I'm slender boney build. I think I will add some padding to the shoulder straps and experiment with that some before my next big outing.

The build quality is obviously top notch and I expect it to last me for many years. I changed mostly to get one pack that would fit the 500mm lens and still able to fly with it. On the flight it fit into the overhead with no problem at all. The two handles helps a lot and the fact that the harness hides away is super nice too.

Check the video reviews, etc. They all love this pack and I do too.

I bought this bag for my Fuji FinePix X100's street photography trips. It's light, and less-conspicuous, so definitely won't give out that 'battle photographer' image when using this bag. You also won't have to have your camera dangling in the open on your sides, so it will give you advantages, both in term of safety and 'candidness' of your potential objects.

The sling strap is the true selling point of this bag. It snaps tight to your camera while maintaining complete freedom of movement. The shoulder strap remain still on your shoulder, only the sling strap moves with the camera. You don't even have to use the bag if you don't want to (although it's a very good protection against bumps) and just use the straps.

I love this camera bag so much, I definitely recommend it to anyone using a mirror-less camera system. I think this particular model (Black Rapid RPB-3BB Snapr35) is the biggest of the bunch, that will allow (as a size comparison) an X100 with lens hood attached to be stowed inside the bag.

This bag is perfect for my sony RX-1.

There are three compartments. Two on the side for extra memory card and batteries and the one in the middle for the camera.

It fits my Sony Rx1 perfectly (without the evf and lens hood)

Also the way this is designed, the camera will always be connected to the bag all the time (even during shotting( giving you a peace of mind about dropping the camera.

The ballistic nylon is very sturdy material. It's almost in par with tumi ballistic materials, which means its really good.

There is also a rubber padding on the bottom, which gives the bag a grip when placed on a table.

I wouldn't want to put a camera much bigger than the X100 in this, but this is the perfect camera bag for my X100. Try to fit anything larger, and you'll probably come back to Amazon and write negative reviews. :)

Honest reviews on Black Rapid SnapR 35 Bag and Strap

I like this pretty well for my Nikon P7700. It's a bit too roomy but the smaller size was too tight.

It's easy to switch between wearing the bag or just the neck or wrist strap, and I have found all three configurations to be useful. I especially like that the camera attaches at the tripod socket because this means no strap dangling in the way of your flip out screen or getting between your fingers and the controls.

This is a pretty heavy camera, as compacts go, but this outfit feels secure to me. The plastic clips seem really strong and in fact require some effort to get them open, so I can' t imagine them giving way accidentally.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Black Rapid SnapR 35 Bag and Strap

I have the Black Rapid RS-7 for my DSLR and I really like it. I bought the Snapr thinking it would be perfect for my m4/3 camera. But it's not.

First, the bag is useless. If I'm carrying just the camera, then I would just use the strap and not need the bag. (The bag barely accommodates an OM-D with a 20mm lens but nothing additional.) If I was going to carry a bag of any kind or bring anything else beside the camera, I'd need a bigger bag with some ability to keep the lenses separate inside. The quality of construction is pretty high. It's just that the bag proved to be kind of a goofy doohicky I couldn't find a use for. Strike 1.

Strike 2 is that an m4/3 camera is just too small and light for a single-point attachment system (the tripod socket on the bottom). The camera bounces, turns and flops everywhere while I'm walking. I was not able to find any length of strap adjustment that fixed this. And boy did I try. The camera has 2 strap lugs. Using the OEM strap or similar at least gets you a camera that stays put for the most part and lies flat against your body.

And finally strike 3, the plastic quick-release clips just aren't up to snuff. While I didn't have any failures, they feel flimsy. I would rather it have the locking carabiner like the RS-7 has. Sure, the Snapr is made for a smaller camera. But small doesn't mean cheap. If I'm going to dangle $1400 in gear 3 feet off the ground, I want more than 2 $.05 plastic clips protecting my investment.

The shoulder pad was nice. And I like the idea behind the strap. I wanted to like the whole thing but ultimately it just didn't work for me. It's going back.
