I bought this pack to shoot a wedding in which I'd have to travel by plane. Great compact size, that didn't take up a lot of room on the plane or during the wedding. It's small enough as well that it won't slow you down during a shoot. You are limited to the gear you can take, but that's part of the trade-off.

This bag was purchased as replacement for another Tamrac that we had outgrown. The bag held all of our current equipment and still had additional room for other items. Durability seems to be a hallmark. The backpack feature is very handy, especially when hiking, etc. with a two year old.

I use a modular Think-Tank belt system (fully loaded) and I needed additional storage for my camera gear and the Tamrac Adventure fit the bill just fine and at a very reasonable price.

Honest reviews on Tamrac Adventure 74 Digital Photo Backpack (Black)

I used the next smaller version of this bag for years until I got another lens. The smaller (Adventure 71) bag held a Prosumer sized SLR body with attached 18-200 lens, a full sized external flash, a 70-300 lens and several many accessories. I got a new 10-22mm lens and it just wouldn't fit no matter what, so I took a chance and knowing Amazon has a terrific return policy, went with the next size bigger. This bag is awesome! It holds everything mentioned before AND three of my most used lenses. To give a better idea of those before mentioned accessories... Several filters, memory cards, batteries, two remote shutter releases. (one wired, one wireless) a micro-fiber towel, lens cloth, lens tissue, lens brush, magnifying glass, voice recorder/tape, pen/paper, compass, flash diffusers and my hat. Although not made to, it also holds a monopod in one of the external straps (not sure how long the material will last but it has been over a year with no problems. This bag has been virtually everywhere with absolutely no issues. I did use a LowPro 202AW for a while and it's just too big and clumsy, although it does hold more. Never could get used to the single strap, not comfortable at all unless using the waist belt which only makes it tolerable, but then what's the point of having a sling bag. When using the Adventure 74, I wrap the waist belt up and around the two external side straps (one of which also supports the monopod) then take the shoulder straps and tuck them into the very comfortable grab handle on top. That gets rid of any of the loose straps when carrying like luggage and also keeps them off of dirty floors. On short distance walks like going from car and across a parking lot I might use one shoulder strap. Otherwise when walking longer distances it's just a back pack and surprisingly, it's not all that much bigger then the Adventure 71. The bag does have a place for a SMALL monopod or a VERY SMALL tripod on the very outer most part of the pack but it makes it impossible to get into the outside pouch. In my case I carry bigger so what's provided doesn't work. All in all for it's size and build quality, this bag is AWESOME!

I was looking for a camera bag to fit my Sony NEX-5N, 18-55mm lens, 16mm pancake lens plus attachable wide angle conversion lens, and other accessories. I figured, hey, Sony makes a bag specially designed for this camera and two lenses--it's probably a pretty good bet. Unfortunately, it was a bad bet. This camera bag is a disaster in every which way. Why?

1) It is flimsy both on the outside and the inside. A drop or even a light bump would be disastrous. Plus, I get the sense that even carrying it might cause the lenses inside the case to knock up against each other and scratch each other's exteriors, because the velcro divider is super-flimsy and doesn't extend all the way to the top.

2) Unlike other camera bags I've owned, there is hardly any room for the secure storage of additional accessories, such as extra memory card, extra battery, cords, lens caps, filters, etc. My LowePro camera bag has four separate compartments that are either sealed by velcro or zippers. This thing only has one on the back, which has room for approximately one or two lens caps or filters.

3) Most damning of all is that my Sony NEX-5N (the camera the bag was designed to hold) doesn't fit conveniently into the bag. It might fit okay if I were to take off the shoulder strap, flash, and the lens hood. But obviously I can't be bothered to take off my shoulder strap every time I want to store the camera. Taking off the lens hood or flash would be less of a problem, but there is absolutely no extra room in the bag to store them. (And keep in mind that my second lens is a pancake lens--if your second lens is a telephoto lens, good luck.)

4) I haven't the slightest idea how the only other reviewer (as of time of writing) managed to fit his camera, 18-55 mm, 16 mm, and 55-210 mm lenses into the bag. I could barely fit my camera (without shoulder strap, flash, and lens hood), pancake lens, and a spare battery into the bag. This left a small amount of remaining room above the pancake lens, and I could have stuffed my shoulder strap, flash, and lens hood loosely into that space. Which is bad, because you don't want things floating around in your camera bag. But my wide-angle conversion lens (which fits onto the pancake and is much smaller than a telephoto lens) didn't fit.

I really don't write many reviews, but I hope this one helps people in the market for a camera bag for their Sony alpha NEX camera and lens(es). Do yourself a favor and buy a sturdy camera bag from a company dedicated to designing them.

I've just received this camera bag and it is perfect for carrying what I want. Versatile configuration. It has three pockets inside. On the left is a fixed partition, which exactly fits my external battery charger (the kind with the slide out prongs), and a couple of spare batteries. There is a moveable partition, which velcros onto the back and front wall to divide the remaining space. If one splits the space, the 55-210mm lens can be stood in one space, and the camera, on its side (back to the right wall, for example, and lens pointing to left wall), in the other. The camera strap can be rolled up and will fit above the lens. The tele lens fits with the lens hood reversed, and even (with a bit of difficulty) when wrapped in the bubble wrap envelope that it is shipped in. This latter configuration pushes up on the lid when closed, but will work. If one removes the movable divider, the camera can be placed in the large space with the tele lens attached. In this layout, the stock SELP16-50 lens can go into the fixed partition/pocket in the left of the camera bag. There is space above the tele lens for other stuff, one can use the divider or other padding to separate the lens/camera from the other things one wants to carry. When I put the external charger in the left fixed pocket, there is enough room to add two spare batteries alongside the charger. To get a sense of the length of this bag, it would accomodate the camera with the tele lens, with the lens in the fully extended position-not that one would carry it in this position, but this gives you a sense of dimensions. The zippered compartment in back is deeper than it appears in pictures-it will easitly take SD cards, even a couple of filter cases. In fact, the supplied charger and USB cable easily fits in this pocket. All in all, this case has the perfect dimensions for packing everything I take.

The case comes with a shoulder strap that attaches to large plastic D-rings on each side. It also has a carry handle sewn on to the front of the case, a 1/4 inch below the zipper. It's a strange place to place a handle because when one picks up the case with the handle, the case turns over so the back of the case is almost parallel to the floor. However, if I put my hand through the strap, palm against the front wall of the case, strap against wrist, finger tips curled under the bottom, it works perfectly, Still, one is likely to be using the shoulder strap for any significant carrying, so this does not seem to be a big deal either way.

Build quality. Too early to tell, I just got the case today. The main zipper seems strong and has two zips, with strong pulls sewn on. The zipper mechanism itself is plastic as is the loop on it (to which the pull is sewn). The loop looks thin and flimsy and may be prone to breaking. The zipper for the back pocket is extremely fine and doesn't look like it would deal well with rushed or rough pulling.

The nylon that the case is made of is heavy duty-this is not lunch box material. There is thick padding--3/8"-1/2"--on all six sides of the case. So this will protect your gear, but maybe not from a fall from height. It is by no means flimsy, and works well for my purpose-which is to put it in my travel backpack, where it will protect the camera and gear from all the other stuff I have in the backpack.

All in all, the build quality looks good, the case is compact, but perfectly proportioned to carry the NEX3N, the 55-210 tele lens and hood, external charger, spare batteries, a couple of filters and SD cards in their cases. And its a good looking case.

Best Deals for Sony LCSEMF/B Camera Case for Sony E-mount Cameras

This case is perfect for my Sony NEX-5N with the 18-55 mm lens AND my 55-200 Zoom lens. I fit in not only the camera, extra lens, both lens shades, the extra battery and charger, the cable to connect to the computer, a lens pen and the carrying strap and a wrist strap. I can put it in with the flash attached though it's a better fit with the flash off the camera. I really like the size of the case because it fits pretty well in a carry on bag for air travel with the essentials needed for photography and protects the camera. It is also an easy bag to carry because it is fairly small. It is well thoughout to be used with this camers with the standard lens along with the telephoto lens and an extra battery with charger. There is a little pocket in the back for extra memory cards etc. Just couldn't fit in the instruction book.

I bought this product basically for two things: the screen protection and the tripod. The screen protection looks durable, I had to adjust it manually to fit my Kodak m580 camera, not big deal but it can be really a pain in the @ss if you're not careful. The tripod looks ok for now, but I think it would get loose with the time, so we'll see. The case is not bad, it's small perfect to take it in your pocket, so that was a really nice plus, it's not the best good looking case in the world, but it accomplish the purpose of protection. Anyway for the price, I think it's fair what you're getting.

I use a Canon Rebel T2i and I can carry the camera with a moderate zoom lens, a 10-20mm wide angle lens, and a 50mm prime in the main compartment. It is a snug fit, but works. The front pocket is zippered and pleated and holds car keys, a wallet, etc. The inside zip pocket holds spare battery & SD cards.

It has a nicely padded interior and flexible divider pads, also very heavy-duty clasp on front flap (in addition to the zip closure at the top of the bag under the flap). Outside there are three flat open pockets (one large one at the back, one small one on each side) work well for temporary lens cap storing, maps, etc.

It won't hold everything you own, but is great for a day out with everything you need. As others have remarked, it would pass for a chubby handbag so you don't look like a photo-geek. However, it is not so handbag-like that it would look sissy for a guy to carry.

I would recommend this bag for someone who wants a bag just large enough for the day's shooting.

Crumpler Industry Disgrace Camera Strap IDE001-B00000 - Black

This is my 4th camera strap through Amazon, my 9th in all with the originals. So, I've had some experience and a lot of expense. I know that I'm not the only one who feels that even a 21 ounce Canon SX40 can feel like 8 pounds after a 4 hour, 5 mile hike through rough terrain (especially the uphill parts), but even with wider straps, I've been uncomfortable and lately have found straps pressing upon my carotid artery, clavicle, and chaffing my neck. So, having given up on my previous wide and Canon-provided narrow straps, I just had to take a chance with the Crumpler Convenient Disgrace Camera Strap.

I gave up trying to figure out the "Disgrace" part, but I watched at least 6 videos on everything from $90 straps that were almost the same, intensely studied reviews by MrNikon, and read about 50 reviews. I even talked it over with my brother whose primary camera and lens weigh over 6 pounds [turns out he uses a wrist strap]. Then, I had to take into consideration that I hike with one hiking pole (two is a long story), and finally bit the bullet and bought this not-inexpensive Crumpler.

Pros: It comes longer than most straps and, instead of cutting it down or looping it shorter, I made it 48". The best I could do with two others was 30-36".

Crumpler can be used as a sling since with 48", you can easily put your arm through even if you're wearing a jacket.

It can be worn as a sling from either shoulder. Many are right-shouldered only, and you can even switch when not using the camera allowing relief from one shoulder or the other if needed.

Cons: It's rests very low around the neck, on me below my waist. If you make it shorter, it becomes more difficult to use as a sling.

Don't kid yourself or believe the product hype: It's HOT when the sun's out or the temperature climbs. After just 2 hours, black or beech at almost 3" wide around the back of your neck, it is hot.

It rides or sits UP on the neck in the back. It's best if you wear a collared (instead of T-) shirt or have really long hair. If there's nothing between you and the strap, it's uncomfortable.

It chafes for a most peculiar reason: on the back of the widest part is the name "Crumpler" in a raised "rubber" lettering, and after an hour directly on my skin, it rubbed. But the edges also rubbed. Unlike their claim that it doesn't slip because of their rubberized "crumpler" name, it does slip especially when you're sweating.

But I'm still giving it 4 stars. Why? Because as a sling, it's the (almost) perfect width on the shoulder to distribute the weight better and make it bearable after 5 hours and very comfortable even after 4! It's even more comfortable than others if you let it ride low from your neck, but that depends on your own physiology. But as a sling, especially with just a T-shirt, your camera can be brought up to eye level in a second. It DOES grab when wearing a jacket or long-sleeved shirt, and I wish it slid up like the harness-type slings made for monster cameras.

As a sling it doesn't chafe. It doesn't slide, and at 4 feet total length, there's room to bring it up to the eye. (You should know that I'm 6'2" at least when I start a hike; sometimes I come back looking and feeling like Quasimodo.) Basically, this is the better of the bunch, and I haven't found the best yet. It's more reasonably priced than the ones made for 10 pound cameras, yet it's relatively expensive for what it is. I recommend it, but with the caveats I've mentioned.

The Crumpler Industry Disgrace Camera Neck Strap is adjustable and has the other characteristics of a usual camera strap as far as connecting it to a camera. That is where the similarities between it and other camera straps end. This is the third camera strap I have had for my present camera and it will be my last. The Crumpler is very soft and comfortable on my neck and my neck does not get tired from using it. I also like the fact that it is very low key and does not have a brand name advertisement in bright contrasting color. This will be the only camera strap I will ever use from now on.

Kudos to Crumpler for a superb product.

Best Deals for Crumpler Industry Disgrace Camera Strap IDE001-B00000 - Black

This is the best of several camera straps that I've used, owned, or tried on over the last 10+ years. It's of robust construction and is well padded, but remains reasonably moisture wicking and breathable (certainly much better in this regard than factory canvas straps or aftermarket neoprene products). The tailoring (which is contoured beyond the "flat band" approach of most straps) fits me perfectly. Aside from the quality and static fit, one of my favorite features is the fact that this strap achieves great comfort dynamically (while walking around with weight attached). When I refer to "dynamic" comfort, I am primarily addressing the fact that this strap does not exhibit the bungee cord behavior of many other replacement straps. I used a Nikon N65 with lightweight consumer lenses 10+ years ago and my neoprene strap (while comfortable statically) was a nightmare while on the move. This Crumpler (basically stretch free to my perception) is ideal for my Canon 7D and Canon EOS 1 with heavy higher end lenses. The contour of the strap lends itself well of hanging over my shoulder too.

Honest reviews on Crumpler Industry Disgrace Camera Strap IDE001-B00000 - Black

Solid strap with a really comfortable pad that can be worn on the chest, as a sling over the head, or even just hanging off the camera. I have a heavy camera and i found this comfy enough and not as ridiculous as the Crumpler Convenient Disgrace strap.

I bought the Crumpler anticipating some sort of miracle solution to the strap fatigue I was getting from the Canon strap that came with my 600D. I'm not sure what I expected, but I thought that there'd be some sort of super-cushioning in the neck, maybe a little stretchy fabric in the strap itself, but, basically, it's just a cool looking strap with a nice-but-not-exceptionally-comfortable neck piece that's slightly more padded than a standard strap. For Close to $40 bucks, one would have thought there'd at least be some Miracle Foam (or foam of any kind!) in the neck, but, sadly, it's just a puffy piece of nylon that feels as though it's got a bit of fluff in it. Oh well. It's fashionable, anyway, and I'm no longer a walking Canon advert. Huzzah.

Eynpire Camera Leather Case For Canon Powershot G12 G11
Customer Ratings: 4 stars

I just opened the package an hour ago. I was a little nervous about how this would fit the camera and if it would look like some kind of cheap imitation leather, but it fits like a glove and looks wonderful. I was looking for something that would harken back to the old rangefinder cameras of 50 years ago, which this nice leather case does. I couldn't be happier with it.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

I received this Eynpire Case for my Canon G12 just a few weeks ago and, so far, I'm very pleased with it. The case is well-designed, it fits my G12 perfectly and it performs as I had expected from the pictures of the case. The bottom half of the case fastens to the camera by way of the knurled knob on that bottom half, which knob screws into the tripod socket. (The bottom half has to be removed to access the memory card and/or the battery, but I expected that) When the top half of the case is detached either fully or partially, the articulated LCD can be used without obstruction from the case, which is very important to me because I use that LCD feature almost constantly when traveling. Further, this case imparts slightly more "heft" to the G12, which I like.

My case arrived with a slight apparent flaw in a piece of the trim on one of its leather edges, but the flaw appears to be so slight as to be inconsequential. My only other concern is that the rear snap that holds the upper part of the case in place while it still is partially attached feels a little loose. That may be deliberate, however, to facilitate removal but I'm a little concerned about the possibility of its becoming ineffective over time. My wife & I will be on vacation overseas during early July and that's when I'll be able to test this case "in use." Thereafter, this four-star rating could become five.

Best Deals for Eynpire Camera Leather Case For Canon Powershot G12 G11

Very satisfied with the product and really custom-tailored for G12 [perfect fit]. Leather is of good quality and the case also comes with a matching strap. Actual product is almost identical to the advertised picture except for "CANON" not being printed on the actual product. Otherwise, good buy. I am definitely keeping it.

Honest reviews on Eynpire Camera Leather Case For Canon Powershot G12 G11

After buying the expensive G12, I wanted a case that looked good and provided excellent protection of the camera body. This case fit the bill quite well. The retro design and leather look great and it fits like a glove. The leather is thick enough to provide good protection for routine drops and knocks.

There are some things about it that make it less than perfect though. The leather edge that abuts the swing out screen is just a wee bit to tall resulting in the bottom edge of the screen not quite cleanly clearing the edge of the case when it is open and closed. Access to the cable connector port requires that the case be completely removed. The latter is merely inconvenient and the former worries me a bit when I think of the impact over many years of use.

All in all, I'm rather more pleased than displeased and am happy with the item.

After reading a number of the other reviews, it really seems as though the manufacturer either has amazingly inconsistent quality assurance or is actually selling two very similar but different cases. Mine has the Canon logo on front, is clearly leather and is well made. If this is not what you end up receiving, you should probably return it and ask for the genuine article.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Eynpire Camera Leather Case For Canon Powershot G12 G11

I had to buy two of these cases. I have the G-12. The case fits, but it is very snug. The case does not get in the way of the screen swinging out. However, I would not recommend this case. It is pretty, but it is poorly made. The first one had gashes in the leather, and the button on the bottom of the case that holds the two pieces together did not work AT ALL! They did not stay together at all. I complained, and the complaint goes directly to Amazon, because this item is fulfilled by Amazon. They paid for return shipping and they shipped out a new one, with one-day shipping, at no cost to me. Unfortunately, the case did not make it in time for my trip. When I got back and saw it, I was still disappointed. Although the second case looked flawless, the same button does not hold well. I do not trust it, and it seems like it may give at any time. I may end up losing the top portion of the case if I'm not careful.

Here's the worst part. I gave Eynpire Camera a terrible review for the first case. Soon after, I received an email from Amazon saying they would give me a $15 credit if I removed the review. Really? I took a few days to think about it, and when I went back, thinking, ok, I'll take the money, they had already removed it!

Be careful of Eynpire and of Amazon!

I purchased this case for my Nikon D3100, and I am thrilled. I wanted a small protective bag that I could place inside of my larger Osprey hiking backpack; this ruled out all of the "camera bags," because they are huge. The materials and build quality feel excellent. It is a soft synthetic leather with well stitched seems and plenty of padding. The interior is made of what feels like smooth nylon over some sort of padding. While a softer and more plush material would have been nicer, this will suffice. I use this case with complete confidence in the protection it provides my camera. My bag was not fully closed one day, and my camera (while in this case) fell out onto the sidewalk. My camera and the case are still in perfect condition.

I use this camera bag with my D3100 and a couple of different lenses: the AF-S 18-55mm VR kit lens, a AF-S 35mm DX prime, and a AF-S 55-200mm VR. I have a fairly large shoulder strap that I usually wrap around my lens before I put it into the case. The triangle shape of the bag fits the camera with the kit lens (18-55mm) and 35mm just fine. There is a little room inside for cushioning, but not enough for it to bang around. It also fits-albeit quite snugly-with the larger 55-200mm VR zoom lens. I am sure it would NOT fit with a longer or larger lens attached.

This case protects my camera while in my backpack, the trunk of my car, or on a metro ride through the city. If you want it for walking around town, the adjustable and removable shoulder strap is long enough (54in max) to wear as either a "sling" style bag or to one side like a purse. There is an extra zippered mesh pocket inside where I keep an extra memory card and lens cloth. I use the outside mesh pocket to keep a couple extra grocery bag incase I get stuck in the rain. This bag is perfect if you only want one lens. However, if you are looking for something that will help carry extra lenses and other accessories, this bag is not for you.

Pros:

Protection (my camera lived through falling onto the sidewalk)

Build quality (the case did too)

Cheap (~$20)

Small

Perfect for your camera and one lens

Cons:

No place for extra lenses

Will not fit a lens larger than the 55-200mm VR

Bottom Line:

If you want something portable and protective for about $20, then you'll love this bag. I am giving this no-fills bag 5 stars for its value, size, and the peace of mind it gives me.

bought this one for my pentax k-30. the camera fits pretty tightly. materials feel durable. the reason i am giving 4 stars the shoulder strap is barely wider than an inch across and will probably get your shoulder tired pretty fast + i doesn't feel like there's "enough" space inside the bag, you have to sort of pack the camera's own neck strap inside this bag to make it fit which isn't very fun if you have to do it over and over..

This case is so well made it should cost several times more than what I paid for it. Solves my problem of safe storage of my camera gear when not in use. I can keep 2 pro bodies, 3 lenses, 2 flashes, a light meter, several filters and spare batteries with room left over. I would have no fear of shipping or flying with my gear using the Pelican 1600.

This case fit my NX1000 samsung camera perfectly with the 20-50mm lens on. It screws into the camera and the top cover snaps off so you can just have the bottom part and the strap if you are wanting to take several pictures. Otherwise, the top hangs down and kind of gets in the way. But it protects the camera well when you are not using it. It is a really cool and retro looking case, I have gotten comments on it several times.

I have the orange-y/tan (called brown) case. I considered the pink one (looks really cute) or the white (blingy) or black (steampunk/serious) but this was the most retro, original camera cases looking to me. It says it is pu leather and I don't know what that exactly means, but to the best of my knowledge, it is a type of leather looking vinyl.

They also make several other styles of camera cases but this was the old-fashioned style that I wanted.

Also, the seller (kindofsmile) was good and kept me informed of the shipping progress and touched base with me several times and it arrived in a timely manner.

For an inexpensive, unique, functional, cool/retro camera case, this is the one!
