I've used Domke bags almost since they existed. I love the minimal design which equates with being able to work fast. The canvas Domkes didn't offer much in the way of shock or extreme weather protection, which is solved in the J3 it's padded and made from ballistic nylon. It's surprisingly roomy for a small bag I carried 2 Nikon motor bodies, 4 lenses (including a 300 and an 80-200) and a strobe on a penguin expedition in New Zealand a couple years ago. It was great, easy to work out of and kept the sometimes intense rain off my gear. I'm a fan.

I rec'd the bag today and absolutely LOVE it! It looks even better in person than it does in the photos I've seen online. It easily holds my Nikon D80 with 18-135mm lens attached, Nikon 55-200 VR lens, SB-600 (in the Nikon velcro pouch), all my manuals, cords, battery charger, etc, etc, etc. I wanted a bag that I would not outgrow for a while that was very well padded and not too huge. It was also important that it did not scream camera bag. This fits the bill perfectly! It will hold at least 2 more lenses on top of all the other stuff I have in the bag already without being cramped. It's very well made and I expect that it will only get better with age. I really love the ballistic nylon material. I had also considered the Domke F-3XB, but am glad that I went with this one instead. This one is more padded so I feel like the stuff inside is safe and I don't worry about anything rubbing or clanking together. The side pockets velcro close but also have a clasp for added security. I'm rather petite and this bag carries perfectly. Great purchase!!!! I use the J-3 to carry around my D200 with 18-200, 12-24, and 50 1.4f lenses, I also carry my SB 600 and an extra battery. I have plenty of room, things feel protected and yet it makes for easy access. I looked for a long time for this bag, I am very happy with it. I hate large cumbersome bags, but needed something big enough to get the job done. Great build quality, it is very easy to move around the dividers, but they stay put. Love this bag. I own five filters, this case holds five filters. It is not just the number of slots that is important, it is how they are stored in the case that is what needs mentioning. Filter "wallets" allow the transfer of their materials sudch as mesh or plastic onto the expensive coatings of your expensive filters. This pouch has individual padded pockets like those found in a quality camera bag. Filter glass never touches anything damaging.

Build quality of this pouch is great...it will last for many years. It is constructed of sturdy cordura with a secure velcro strap on front. The rear has velcro mounting straps for many popular camera bag/case systems as well as your belt.

When I got tired of tossing filters in and out of their cases, I found this filters holder bag. It is a solution if you want to organize your filters but it isn't if you would plan to keep this filter case in your camera bag.

The fabric of the bag looks firm but flexible and not strong to hold a hit. So, don't lean against anything with this bag full of filters, if you planing to wear this bag on your belt, you may brake the precious glass.

The bag dimensions: W 110mm, H 110mm, L 75mm. With usual Pseries filter size 83x95mm or 83x110mm the height and length seems to be Ok but the bag is too thick. I could put 5 filters with their cases in it and close it.

The good side of vast space inside of the bag is that you can pick a filter without additional affords, and as a result, without leaving smudges. The dividers inside this case are soft but not covered with soft cleaning cloth-like fabric. In fact, in my opinion, the fabric they used like whether proof one. It did not scratch my filters yet but it feels like it could. There are horizontal and vertical brand fasteners on the back of this filter bag. So you can wear it on your belt or camera bag strap.

It solved my problem of fast access to filters, when I need, but it could be more compact and more protective, at least, on its front and back sides. I guess, it's right for the price.

I was tired of carrying around those plastic cases for each of my spare filters. This little pouch is just what I needed. I can remove one filter, slip it into an empty slot and pull out the one I need. No more fumbling with lids and bottoms of the plastic cases, asking my kids to hold one filter while I attach the other and "Please don't put your greasy fingers all over the middle of that $200 circular polarizer!"

The construction seems good, adequately padded--which is a slight downside that you have to accept as a trade off, it's a bit bulky considering the size filter it will handle.

I would also wish for a secure way to attach this to the outside of my camera bag and I'm not sure the little belt loop is quite up to that task.

I have been searching for some time for a neat way of carrying my filters in their OEM cases. I know many are content to slip their filters into these sleeve wallet things and leave it at that. I only buy pro grade lenses and , consequently, I only buy top of the line filters. Since my most used lens has an 82mm filter size, this is big money we're talking about. I have a B+W 82mm XS-Pro Kaeseman CPL that costs over $250! I'm not sliding that thing against anything!

Anyway. I took a razor blade and removed the padded separators from the Slinger, so now it will hold four 82mm filters in their cases. I don't care that there is an opening at the top of the case where dirt, sand, etc can get in, because my filters are in their nice, soft, water & impact resistant plastic cocoons. Nuff said...

The weights worked wonderfully but there were three things I'd like to point out before singing it's praises.

1.) As I was diving with the camera, the weights eventually worked themselves loose and had to be tightened about every 2 dives.

2.) The main screw that holds the weights together and on the camera (and that kept working its way loose) was the part that rusted, despite regularly soaking it in fresh water and drying it after diving.

3.) I met at least 4 other people with a canon underwater housing and only one other had weights for their camera. Everyone else said they didn't really need them. As for the two of us that had the weights, we only used two from that pack of 4 and the weighted case bumped off of stuff because it was dangling below, rather than hovering with me.

I got these for the case I purchased for my 700 IS and the most useful thing in the box was the manual. It tells you how to find out how many weights your camera model requires (which in my case was none!!!) So while these weights work great if you need them, make sure you do before you buy. Look around for Canon's underwater photography guide which should help clue you in.

On the plus side if you have a device that fits in this pouch then it is sleek enough to probably still fit in your pocket without too much extra bulk with respect to pouch thickness, pouch strap, etc.

I have put my family's Fujifilm XP Shock digital camera in this pouch and it fits fine. The corners of the pouch have started to discolor a bit after one month. A bit pricey at $15, better value below $10.

Always good to have various pouches to protect your valuables. This fits the bill in some situations, 3 stars.

The case is not that padded and has no real rigidity so it won't likely protect it from a serious drop. Definitely will keep scratches off the exterior of the camera and may help with those little slips. The opening is a double zipper. I prefer a flip opening that makes it quicker and easier to get the camera out in a hurry. There is no strap on the case so we let the strap that is on the camera hang out. It would be nice if there was a way to easily and neatly tether the camera strap to the case and camera to keep them together so they won't get lost. Unfortunately, there really isn't a good way to do it with this case. It is nice that the case is stain proof but, I wouldn't consider it anymore water or even splash proof then any other case. It is a decent case that is small, lightweight, and fashionable, with emphasis on the "fashionable". I think that is really the most compelling reason to purchase this case. As far as function, there are better options.

I use this to carry a Sony DSC-RX100 and a Droid Bionic; it eliminates the need for two cases.

The pouch is slightly padded and seems durable. I've used it on the strap and on my belt.

There are several gratuitous features; the pouch would be better without them:

Nat Geo logo on flap

Brass ring on flap (not usable to release the velcro catch)

Huge strap rings and catches (smaller would be just fine)

Webbing that runs from ring to ring (you're not going to carry something heavy in this)

All that said, I couldn't find a better pouch for the two devices I carry. I use it every day and it works.

This small bag was great to hold my Sony RX 100 and iPhone on a trip to Disney World. My only concern was the water resistance of the material and the slight gap left by the flap. The belt loop looks secure with double Velcro but I only used the strap. There was room for an extra battery and memory card. 5 stars if it was more weather resistant.

I really love this bag and it's making me think about spending more on a much larger version for my other gear like this one. That would be stupid because I have several different bags for different purposes... but this thing is just that good.

I bought this bag specifically for the days when I'm not bringing my DSLR around (a Canon EOS 5D Mk III with battery pack and a host of lenses requires so much more space). When I instead opt for my Mamiya C330 TLR or the Rolleicord III, this bag is perfection. The Mamiya C330 (which is a bit of a beast) fits snugly either upright or on its back. I prefer upright, which allows me to put a divider in that leaves just enough room for the Sekonic L-508 and a couple of rolls of 120 film. All interior sides are heavily padded for excellent protection from knocks. The side pockets are a nice drawstring style that allow some level of expansion. Each pocket is big enough to contain my Rollei 35 and a couple of rolls of 35mm film, if I'm so inclined. There is also a large pocket under the front flap that can hold quite a bit (mine currently is holding 7 rolls of 120 film and there's room for a little more), and the rear pocket is also big but might be best for smaller, flat items just because that's the side that will most likely be rubbing against you while you walk.

From a digital camera perspective, if you're looking to house a DSLR in here you're going to be best off with smaller ones, like the D-Rebel series. Fitting a D-Rebel with a mounted kit lens and a separate, mid-size consumer zoom in the main storage area will be about the maximum. If you shoot mainly pro glass like me, you're going to need a bigger bag than this unless all you're bringing is two small primes or short zooms. For example, if I was really pressed to do it for some reason, I could fit the 5D Mk III without a lens (the body itself with grip is too big to also have a lens attached inside the bag) and then maybe have enough room to add the 17-40L but not much else.

The material is thick and heavy duty. It's obvious that damaging it during the course of normal use will be nearly impossible, and in fact everything about it seems to have been designed to take abuse. Of course, time will tell. But at this point I'm not even slightly worried.

While others have rated this item well, I can not see the reasoning behind their comments. A lot of items are well made, but this item has been outsourced to China, and it really shows. The "Fake Leather" is a veneer, and will bubble or peel with use. The stiffness of the case is from a hard cardboard material, and will not stand up to use as well.

We fall for items made by the manufacturer to be of better quality, when we receive items like this, it is nothing more than a let down. I guess that is why Lowepro, Tamrac, and CaseLogic have widely popular cases for electronic's, they are 10 times the basic standard of this POORLY MADE ITEM!

I have look for a long time for camera bag that will satisfy the way I used my photographic equipment. For starters, I have a Nikon D700 with grip, 70-200mm f/2.8, 35mm f/1.8, and 50mm f/1.8. So as the story goes, I took a big risk and order it online. If you are like me then this review is for you. Lowepro put a lot of research and thinking to create this bag. You can tell this bag was designed by a photographer. All the fit and finish are well made. Everything works and this bag is built like a tank. I do not need to buy a pelican case anymore. I can carry all my equipment in a heavy duty padded messenger bag with my camera stowed bottom first, like I wanted it, and still have enough room for three professional lenses and some accessories. If you do a lot of travelling with photo equipment in tow, this is the bag for you. I roll through airports with all my camera gear and laptop with ease and no strain with the Lowepro Pro Roller x50 Bag. Sturdy construction, strong zippers and spacious compartments for a large SLR camera and 3-4 lenses. The Removal Reserve shoulder bag is convenient to stash an extra lens or two if you are photographing on the move and need to travel light, leaving the main unit behind.

I took 1 star off for its high price, which in my opinion should be lower to make an excellent value.
