When I bought my Lumix, portability and compactness were big issues for me. I wanted something so slim that no one would know it was in my pocket! When I bought this case, there was only a front view and the title of the case which had the word "slim" in it. I wished for a side view but had to imagine just how slim was "slim". I have added a few pictures to the images at the top of the page so you don't have to guess.

Upon receiving this case, I have the following reactions:

1. It is not as slim as I had hoped and will not disappear into a pocket.

However,

2. It is beautifully made with quality leather.

3. The camera fits like a glove inside the case.

3. It is very sturdy and will provide excellent protection for the camera!

4. There is room for either an extra battery or an extra memory card!

5. I love the magnetic latch. It is much faster access than a zipper!

I had originally bought a soft case for this camera and sent it back feeling like it would not protect the camera well enough! So it seems like you have a choice: fabric case (much slimmer but no protection or leather which is not so slim but provides more protection. For me, this case is a keeper!

Too small for the ZS15 or ZS20, but fits ZR3 series like a glove. great case, great price, just be careful on measurements.

I searched Amazon for a camera case for a Panasonic DMC-ZS20 and a link came up for this product. It appeared to be a legit Panasonic product, it said "Lumix" right on it, looked to be the correct size, etc., so I ordered it. To my dismay, when it arrived my new DMC-ZS20 does NOT fit in it. I can squeeze the camera down into the case if I really work at it, but no way can you close the cover to where the snap locks in its proper place. Looking to return this product for a full refund and will NEVER order from Discounts Jungle on Amazon again! BEWARE...these people make you think what you are getting will work when it won't!

Update 7-12-12 Discount Jungle says they will accept a return, but only with a 15% restocking charge AND if I pay the return freight AND they won't refund the freight cost on the original shipment...even though it was their fault for selling me something that does not work! AGAIN...AVOID BUYING FROM DISCOUNT JUNGLE!!!

Honest reviews on Panasonic Lumix Leather Black Slim Case for FS62/ FS7/ FS15/ FS25

The Panasonic Lumix Leather Slim Case for FP and FH series(Black) is very high-quality case OEM cases usually are. However, the space within the case is far too large to sufficiently protect the FH8, a series this case is designed to carry. Yes, the camera fits, easily, but it is like putting a toddler-sized shoe in an adult-sized shoebox. The camera basically bumps around in there. Given this uses a magnetic "snap", I am concerned about the security of the camera. All of that said, however, if your camera fits into these dimensions (approximate), 2.75" H x 3.875" W x 1.5" D, then you'll be very happy.

Case is well constructed and my FH25A fits snugly in it almost tightly. Although there is room for a memory card or spare battery in the space next to the lens, that item would likely pop out when you pulled out the camera. Good quality case however, with belt loop and magnetic closure.

I do like the layout of the bag, with frontal access to the two padded equipment bags, the top opening and the possibility to store stuff (e.g. jackets) under the flap. I was a little irritated with (i) the zippers of the front opening, which tend to get stuck in the loops for the ski poles / ice axes, (ii) the difficulty of accessing the equipment pouches without completely removing them from the mail compartment. Also I think an additional zippered compartment for e.g. passports / tickets would be a plus appreciated by frequent travelers.

I am glad I took the larger version of the pack, as it accepts a laptop (Macbook air, 13") and a few slim documents. the remaining space fills up pretty quickly with stuff, so don't plan a 3 week trip with this pack, unless you have very spartan needs.

But overall a well built, solid, functional piece of equipment, which carries very comfortably, is functional, simple and looks good.

I would definitely recommend this for outdoor / wilderness photography.

The materials and construction are good. The design and user advice are flawed. If you aren't an avid backpacker this bag needs some use explanations. Pictures attached to the bag are deceiving and adjusting straps is a process of discovery for the novice. (Basically, there is a hidden "board" that allows for adjusting the straps.)

A nice feature is the curved backboard that allows airflow. It also has a 2 liter water pocket (Be certain you purchase the 2-liter size and honestly, just get the camelback version.) I took this to Arches National Park and most hikes there are fairly short. So, you are in and out of the pack constantly.

The main reason for the low rating is the set-up for holding your gear. There are two -call em camera bags -inside the opening. They have a split zipper top and handles. The handles get in the way of the zipper. So, to get a lens out, you have to take off the backpack, lay it down on the back board side, unzip the main compartment (again a split zipper and a chore at best) then unzip the camera bag.

For those reasons, I would not choose this bag again. Also, the pack itself is pretty hefty -maybe 5 to 7lbs (I'm guessing) -and working with it is an annoyance.

If you are hiking a backpack gets you a lot further down the road than you may think. Next to your camera and your headlamp, it's the most important tool you'll have.

As an avid former pro-photographer who loves the wilderness, this is the perfect companion, and it will certainly make it easier for me to do so. Most regular camera bags are a chore to hike with, and hiking bags don't really cater too well to the photography community for a number of reasons. This bag is the perfect combination of both: the comfort and storage capacity of a purpose-made hiking bag with the camera hauling capability of a camera bag. Most importantly, however, is the incredible comfort and mobility that this bag offers for its size. This is especially important to me with my bad lower back.

This wonderfully-designed and constructed photo-backpack is chock-full of neat little features: the drinking water reservoir holder, the tripod straps, hiking pole straps, and that really neat diffuser/reflector/raincover that is tucked away in the bag. The more you use the bag, the more you'll discover. There are a handful of little stash pockets, as well, which are perfect for the little gizmos that always seem to get lost—passport, chapstick, car or house keys, etc.

I can say with 100% certainty that this bag is going to replace every other bag that I'm using regularly, even when I'm not hiking. I can load this bag up with food, clothes and my laptop, a couple cameras, and fill up a pelican case with lights and stands and go shoot a glamour gig (Oh, those beautiful ladies!), or I can reconfigure it for hiking and take it on an overnight trip. I can load it up with cameras and lenses and take it on a flight, and there will still be room left over for food and whatever trinkets I pick up along the way. The comfort and versatility is second to none here, and I'd have no problem recommending it to any photographer who is constantly on the go and looking to consolidate their bag collection. Take it hiking, take it traveling, take it to a slumber party – I promise you'll love this bag.

What an awesome bag and a great deal! I have had a Domke bag for 25 years and it is still going strong. I paid $59.00 for the Anaconda 20 bag which retails for $139.00. It will hold everything you could possibly need and is very rugged, with easy access. I did not really need the bag but the great price and Domke's great reputation caught my eye. It can be used as a shoulder bag or a waist bag. If you have the chance to get it for $59.00 grab it. It's a steal!

The lense fit, but the bag does not close with it in it. And because I always take my 70-200, in weddings, I never can close my bag !!!

This is my second case logic case in this style. My first one was black and was misplaced. My second one is purple. It is a very deep purple, like Plum. Very easy to get the camera in and out. I like that one side is somewhat hard to offer screen protection. It's a very slim case so doesn't add a lot of bulk. It will fit in my jeans pocket with the case. I mostly carry it without the long neck strap, but there are times when I use it because it comes in handy.

I had bought the exact same case at Best Buy for $20. I checked Amazon when I got home and picked it up for $11 ish ($6 for product and about $5 for shipping, not prime eligible). What a bargain! Took the Best Buy one back. I waited till the Amazon one came in before returning and the cases and packaging were exactly the same. Good deal.

I found this case to be just what I was looking for. It is small enough to fit in my purse, but large enough to hold camera, an extra xcard, and spare batteries. My camera was protected as we traveled overseas, but it was easy to pull it out for any picture moments we encountered.

I know that this is for a small camera and believe me it travels very well and fit im most spaces, but I find that though I had a small camera I needed more space for picture cards and batteries. I had to cut down a multiple card clip to fit into the case. This was the only way to keep track of what picture cards we used. I like the case, but will be looking for a somewhat larger one with more room for pic cards etc. I think anyone traveling and using their camera alot would need more space.

although the main part of the case in which my camera resides is useful, I was dismayed when I received it as the strap had one clip broken and the first time I opened and closed the additional pocket, the zipper broke. The only reason I have not returned it for a new one is that the cost of shipping would make it too expensive.

I have strugled for a while searching for a camera bag for my DSLR camera that is medium in size that can take all my little gear and have room for future expansion.

I am not a pro-photographer with super telephoto lenses and havey gear. infact I am an amature who enjoy photography as a hobby.

let me start by listing what I have in the bag;

1 Nikon D40 6.1MP Digital SLR 18-55mm Camera Kit lens (Yes, am a Nikon user)

2 Nikon 18-200mm Zoom-Nikkor Lens

3 Nikon 70-300mm VR Zoom Nikkor

4 Nikon SB-600 Speedlight Flash for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras

5 Digital Concepts Silver Mini Tripod with Extension Legs and Tilt Head

so I was able to put in my camera and two extra lenses, a speed flash and mini-tripod.

plus,

Camera filters, cleaning kit, user manual, digital field guide book, extra camera battery and AAA batteries.

and there is still more room, for extra small lens and another flash unit or anything I can think of in the future.

I strongly recomend this bag for anyone who have more/less of the items above. regardless what DSLR camera you use.

I rate this bag as 5 stars for the following reasons,

Duribility: The bag is made from high quality fabric and the bag it self is light

Space: lots of room, with velcro dividers. I did not have to change any of the setup as it was very nicely partitioned for various needs and pockets.

Price: spot on!

looks: Everyone complimented this bag when they saw me carrying it... however, this bag looks a typical camera bag and for those who want a camera bag which do not look typical, I recomend the Tamrac 3548 Express Pack 8 (Khaki) for everyday use and this bag for traveling or full day photography sessions.

This bag will hold all your camera needs. Plenty of room for all your lenses, camera body, extra battery, charger and even my sony camcorder. Well padded and on the whole a well thought out bag, however I would have to agree about the handle on the back it does make it "carry at an awkward angle". This is not a problem if you prefer as I do the shoulder strap. I read a lot of reviews on a lot of different bags before choosing this one. I'm very pleased with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone who has a lot of camera equipment and doesn't want to carry a "piece of luggage" around. It is lightweight and sturdy a great combination which makes this bag a good choice for the price.

Best Deals for Sony LCS-AMSC30 Soft Digital SLR Carrying Case for Sony Alpha

This camera bag is well made. Has good padding. It handles Sony Alpha Series DSLR camera body, three lenses, extra batteries, flash cards, plus charger and cords. The shoulder strap is comfortable but the hand carrying strap seems more like an after thought. When using the hand strap the bag hangs at an awkward angle. All in all I'm quite pleased with the bag.

Honest reviews on Sony LCS-AMSC30 Soft Digital SLR Carrying Case for Sony Alpha

Looks like a first-class bag, but I failed to look too closely at the specs. This is a really big bag, a good one to hold multiple lenses and a lot of other gear. Had to return it for something that worked with my A65 and a single lens for maximum portability (check out Tenba).

The "Case Logic UP-2" is a very well made soft pouch/case that perfectly fits my Flip Video Ultra Series Camcorder, 60-Minutes (White). This case has some great features:

* A silky smooth inside so it will not scratch my lens

* "Locking" draw string wrist strap to keep your camera snug and protected

* Metal ring clip (removable) to attach to a belt loop or shoulder strap

* Very low price for such a well made case

This is well padded enough to protect my camera, but still fits in my pants pocket without being too bulky.

Highly recommended!

I bought this to store my camera in on a recent trip. The camera fit fine, but the little ring meant to clip on to things never got used by me. It wobbled and moved and was flimsy and light enough that I simply didn't trust my expensive hardware hanging from it.

( That said, if I was that concerned I should have bought something in person/better/more expensive/whatever. I know. )

The bag worked very well, camera never received a scratch. The little drawstring was great, but never get this if you're wanting to get into your little bag quickly. It takes several seconds to open, (a real negative for anyone storing a camera that might need to get it out quickly.. you WILL miss your shot. )

The bag didn't get dirty or worn out during the time I was using it, and showed little to no signs of use. So it seems pretty sturdy, but that ring definitely isn't!

Overall I'm giving three stars because part of the appeal was the ring which is simply useless.

It's a sturdy little bag that would hold up well to stress, but shouldn't be used to carry things you need to get to quickly or hung off a belt/purse/etc as it will probably snap off the ring.

Best Deals for Case Logic UP-2 Universal Pockets Medium (Orange)

I've been using one of these to carry around a Sony TX5 and TX20 camera while hiking, climbing, and backpacking. I tossed the cheap plastic clip it came with and stuck an S carabiner through the sewn loop and that's how I've been attaching it to my belt loops, packs, and climbing harness. It offers just enough protection while allowing quick access to the camera as long as I leave the drawstring loose.

I really liked the orange color but it does get rather dirty looking. Other than that it's put up with a surprising amount of abuse considering how cheap it is.

I searched Amazon.com for a case for a Casio EX-FH25 camera. I have had dozens of very positive buying experiences with Amazon, so many in fact that I usually start looking for what I am after with Amazon and in most cases make my purchases from Amazon and their sellers. This item was returned by the search engine as a "Pro Aluminum Hard Case For The Casio Exilim EX-F1." I wanted a really good case for my new camera and I was willing to pay a little extra for it. When I looked at the listing I saw photos of a brushed aluminum and black case with no name tags on the case. I considered that with no name this might be a generic case capable of being customized for mine or any camera. This was fine with me. I added the case to my cart and paid for it. I was confident that I had made the right move to protect my investment. I never expected to receive a case with a mismatched Polaroid name tag riveted to the large main panel on the top of the case. Make no mistake. This is a Polaroid case that comes in a Polaroid box and has an aluminum Polaroid plate riveted to the case. So much for the "Pro Aluminum Hard Case For The Casio Exilim EX-F1." I thought the Polaroid name might be an adhesive label I could remove but it is laser etched into the aluminum. Now I have spent $32.46 for something that I will not use in the end purely because of deception on the part of the seller. As I said BUYER BEWARE! Don't be taken in by the description or photos of this product. This is a Polaroid case with an aluminum frame and cardboard side panels. One of those panels has a large Polaroid name tag riveted to it. If that does not bother you then go for it. DBROTH might offer to have me ship it back for a refund but the damage is done. Get it right the first time DBROTH. Liars are all chronic time wasters for the rest of us. DBROTH has truly wasted my time with this case purchase.

Big enough for 1 SLR body w/telephoto lens, additional lenses, and even another small camera, this pack is the perfect replacement for those old boxy bags. It has handles everywhere, plenty of compartments, and is small enough to be extremely portable. As advertised, not for the serious professional who needs more than 3 lenses, but for everyone else it's the perfect solution to carrying camera gear.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

I've used this pack for about 2 months. I've taken it on a long hike (not so good..read below), a short hike (worth it), and a car trip (good). Good: Great price! The comparments are good size and easily adjustable based on your needs. Cons: It really doesn't work for hiking because of the stiffness and the backpack doesn't breath well. I wouldn't recommend it if you want to get the camera out quickly because the zippers sometimes get stuck on the flaps. However, if you want something for just a quick trip to the beach or a car ride, this is great.

Best Deals for Tamrac 5371 Travel Pack 71 Photo Backpack (Red)

The backpack is compact but spacious. There were plenty of velcro'd padded dividers. It was big enough to hold Nikon D90, 2 telephoto lens, 2 chargers + batteries and the instruction booklet. Excellent value for the money. Camera is well protected and it fit all the stuff I needed.

Honest reviews on Tamrac 5371 Travel Pack 71 Photo Backpack (Red)

This is a great little backpack camera bag. It fits my D40 nicely (with a lens on!) and easily has enough extra room for 2-3 more lenses and accessories. I like that the top handle has a grippy plastic texture. It keeps its shape well, though I wouldn't pile anything heavy on top of it, like for a road trip. Overall I'm happy with my purchase.

Disappointments:

The side mesh pockets are not very expandable (you might be able to fit two fingers at most between the elastic when the bag is loaded up) so you could not, say, fit a bottle of water in it. There are accessory pouches and even a water bottle holder that you can buy separately, though

The zippers are sometimes hard to close

I think it if it were a hot day, you'd get a sweaty spot on your back; it doesn't have good air flow (but you can't expect too much for this inexpensive price point)

P.S. I don't think this bag would be at all suitable for backpacking (I saw that tag on here). I backpack, and this thing would be too big and bulky for that!

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Tamrac 5371 Travel Pack 71 Photo Backpack (Red)

I have a Canon Rebel xti, lens that came with it, wireless remote, 3 filters, lens that came with the camera, battery charger, a Canon powershot, its battery charger, a couple spare batteries, 4-5 memory cards, the Rebel's manual, a small notebook, the Rebel's neck strap, my iPod mini and my wall chargers for my Razr & its headset all in this backpack. There is some extra room. It's smaller than a regular backpack. It flips over my shoulder nicely. I would buy this again. I am not sure it will hold the two additional lenses and flash unit that I intend to buy ... but I imagine that Tamrac has a larger version. This is a very nice alternative to the standard lunch box style padded camera bag.

When I went camera bag shopping, I was looking for a bag that would not only hold all my SLR gear, but also my backup camera and accessories. This bag does all that and beyond. I can carry 2 bodies and 3 lenses with this bag, 28-200, 70-300 and a macro lens, my flash with wireless transmitter, a thin minolta 150 point and shoot camera, my swiss tool, and filters with plenty of room left over. The easy access front pouch is great for film if you are shooting the kids and don't want to miss a shot by having to dig through the bag to find the film. Why look? The film can be placed in the convenient front flap pouch. I use the side pouches to store my cleaning cloths, extra batteries and a photo pen that I carry around.

With the system 6, 2 things come to mind that are key in all camera bags: 1.) lots of space and 2.) secured travel and protection. With the spacious storage capacity of such a versatile bag, a novice to a pro cannot go wrong with this bag. A must for photographers!

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

Tamrac's 5606 camera bag is well constructed, sturdy and versatile, and is suitable for use with either film or digital SLR cameras. It is a mid-sized bag, designed to carry up to two camera bodies. The crucial issue with this type of bag, is whether it has adequate space to carry exactly what you need, including lenses and larger accessories like flash units and battery packs. Check Tamrac's website, and look at the diagrams showing the interior compartments of the bag, and how components may be stored, and judge if there's enough space for the particular gear you have.

The interior of the bag can be divided into up to six smaller compartments. The layout is designed to accept a body with a zoom lens up to around 8 inches in length attached. While a camera with a long lens will fit in the bag, you'll have arrange things carefully if you want to carry too much else. Also this setup does not work well if you have a battery grip attached. One solution is to store the camera and grip with no lens attached. Doing this, there is more than adequate space for the body, and three or four lens, and a flash unit. Stored vertically, a long lens can be accommodated with no problem. Carrying your gear this way, you're not immediately prepared to shoot, as you must take a few moments to assemble the camera.

Though the bag is really better suited to accommodating the gear to fully outfit one camera. In a pinch, the 5606 can accommodate two camera bodies, even with battery packs, but that will leave just about a third of the available space for lenses and a flash.

There is a zippered fold down compartment with pockets in the front. It would be nice if the pockets had some kind of fasteners. Pouches with velco fasteners are on the side of the bag. Velcro is an extremely poor design choice. One should not risk putting valuable or heavy items into these pouches. They could easily be lost, or fall out and be broken, should the fasteners fail to hold. This wasted storage space is the bag's major flaw. Some type of modification would be required to make them truly useful.

The 5606 has an excellent heavy duty carrying strap, and also has straps at the base for carrying a tripod. A semi useful feature is a wallet for carrying digital media and other small accessories. The wallet is attached to the bag with an elastic strip, and sides into a compartment on the side of the bag. The padding in bottom and sides could stand to be a bit thicker, but that can be said of most bags.

As with any camera bag, it's ultimate usefulness depends on the user, and the particular gear to be carried. The 5606 isn't quite perfect in all situations, but it is adaptable enough to be useful most of the time. Available in several colors.

This bag is nearly perfect for the photographer who is looking to carry 3-4 lenses, a compact flash, battery charger and a DSLR safely with quick access to all its contents. It has pockets galore for memory cards, instruction books, spare batteries, filters, and all the other little things you may want to pack. Mine has a tape recorder for notes, a flashlight, a Swiss Army Knife, It also has straps for a small tripod, and a neat attachnent on the back that goes over the pop up handle of your luggage. Not only convienient, but makes the bag more difficult to steal without taking all your luggage.

In all a very thoughtful design and very well constructed.

Honest reviews on Tamrac 5606 System 6 Camera Bag (Blue)

If you are looking for a camera bag that can carry your SLR with up to 3 lenses (I use it to carry my Canon 50D, 17-55/2.8, 12-24/4, and 70-200/4) while in an urban environment, than this is a great bag. You an always go bigger/smaller within this class of Tamrac bag to match what you expect to carry around.

There is no "perfect" camera bag because every photographer has a unique set of equipment and needs. I actually have 3 camera bags: 1 for carrying EVERYTHING (large tripod, 7 lenses, 2 cameras), 1 for carrying limited equipment (both photographic and food/water) when I am on a dayhike on the trail. This bag (Tamraca 5606) is used as my default bag and ideal for when I am traveling in cities.

Pros/Cons of shoulder bags in general:

The greatest advantage of shoulder bags is the ability to have quick/easy access to all of your photographic gear while still carrying the bag. Switching lenses is a breeze with little risk of dropping equipment. You don't have to put your bag down to grab your gear (which most backpacks require). The con is that it is not as comfortable as a backpack for long periods of time nor is it stable in active situations (cycling, scrambling on rough terrain, etc etc). It also serves very well when at a static photoshoot where you put the bag down and then have quick/easy access to all of your gear.

I specifically love the System 6 because the main compartment is designed for the camera to rest horizontally and not vertically. While there are advantages to holster style bags, the horizontal position means you don't have to make changes in padding when you are using a long zoom vs a prime lens. The padding has free-folding partitions that provide alot of flexibility without needing any changes in velcro attachments.

The side pouches are very roomy, secure, and easy to access. I use them to carry my lens hoods and a circular polarizer. The front pouch is large with several cloth pockets to carry air blower, battery charger, extra batteries, cables, CF cards, lens cleaner, and cloth. There are two pen-holders (I use one for a pen and the other for an allen wrench). There is a clear top pouch inside the top flap which is a bit cramped and only useful for very thin items (step-up adapter rings, USB cables.)

Like all Tamrac bags, the 5606 is made of tough cordura nylon with excellent padding, high quality zippers, and quick release buckles.

If you are primarily shooting while on long hikes in rugged terrain and need to carry extra clothing/water/food, this is NOT the bag for you. However if you are shooting on easy short hikes, urban environments, then Tamrac shoulder bags are great. Which bag in the series you get really depends on how much gear you expect to be carrying.

This is a great value for the money! I originally bought a smaller Lowe camera case at a local retailer and tried unsuccessfully to jam my Olympus E-Volt 500, two lenses and a flash into it. The Lowe bag cost as much as the TAMRAC did at Amazon. The Tamrac fits everything, in an easy organized way, and is very well made.
