This review is about the same as my review for the smaller holster, so I'll be a bit briefer.

1) I like it. It matches the reporter bag well. It has a nice solid plastic tab in addition to the velcro straps for attachment.

2) Padding around zipper protects the lens. Internal padding overall in the lens holster is nice and snug with a little 'stretch' to fit say a lens hood reversed over the lens or whatever.

3) Do wish it came with a stowaway 'rain pouch' in the bottom like the Clik Elite bags themselves do instead of the accessory shoulder strap, which is of much less utility IMO.

This product does exactly what it is designed to do: Provide shelter for the extra lens. This is definitely a great product. The only reason I gave this product four stars instead of five is because I originally thought I would wear this thing on my belt to protect my extra lens at a show, but when it arrived I saw right away that it was too bulky for my style. The other factor is the fact that at the time when I ordered this I had decided to keep my gear in two different holster style cases one for my DSLR + accessories and another for my extra lens but the whole setup was less than ideal so in the end I consolidated and went with a single gadget bag for my DSLR, both lenses, lens hood, battery charger, and other accessories (memory cards, lens caps, etc). The bottom line is, if you are looking for a home for that extra lens, you don't care about consolidation, and you care less about bulk/style than you do about protection, then this is the one for you.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I like holster cases because they form fit the lens and you don't have to remove it. This one fits my Canon Ti2 with its 80-200 Tamron lens perfectly. The camera size guide on the insert says it allows 5.9" inches across the back of the camera, 4.6" from the base to the top of the camera and 7.5" for camera + lens length. It attaches to the neck strap with a 1 inch plastic loop and you can crush it under your arm while you shoot if the bulk bothers you. As promised there is an interior pocket for the lens cover which is one of its best features. The material feels like neoprene and gives your camera protection from dust, minor scrapes and bumps. Note that there is NO internal sling or hard bottom to protect your camera lens from being dropped hard on the lens. It did have enough room to slip my extra battery down in the lens area. There are no external pockets for chargers are power cords but then the idea is to have a day case that minimizes bulk. Nice little alternative to my larger holster that has it all.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I've been quite used to lugging around a camera bag with my DSLR and lens but for those who want to bring the minimum along with them for street photography or on vacation may want to look into Case Logi's Day Holster, for that added protection from bumps or scratches, especially if you intend to have this inside your back pack or bag and want that peace of mind that your DSLR will be snug and safe.

The holster attaches to your DSLR camera strap via a tether strap connected to the Day Holster and you can fit your DSLR with a small lens and also a pocket for your lens cap.

This particular Day Holster is black and is made in China. With your DSLR lens pointing down, the size can accomodate most DSLR's via 7.5 inches (19cm), width is 5.9" (15 cm) and height from shutter to bottom of camera is 4.6" (11.8 cm).

JUDGMENT CALL:

The Case Logic Day Holster will suit a photographer who likes to carry the basic minimum while in shots. Although I tend to prefer carrying a DSLR bag or having a DSLR backup to hold my multiple lens, the Day Holster is great for those who want easy access without carry much at all.

With that being said, this is not for those who use large lenses and its not for those who have a battery grip. The Day Holster is great if you have a DSLR camera and possibly a smaller lens like a 50 mm or even a kit lens. Something small. But I wish the Day Holster was slightly bigger to accommodate a DSLR with a grip. Otherwise, you will need to carry an extra battery with you, fortunately there is a pocket that is for a lens cap, DSLR cap and can hold a thin battery (or business cards).

The material is quite sturdy to protect from small bumps or scratches if kept in a bag or around your shoulder, but if dropped, I can't tell you that it's that strong, but I'm guessing it isn't.

Overall, the Case Logic DSLR Day Holster is useful. I tend to bang my DSLR quite a bit into things, especially on door knobs. But it helps to have this holster that is slightly sturdy enough to protect your DSLR from scratches and small bumps.

And for street photographers who don't want to carry much with them. Just a DSLR and a small lens and want that added protection for their DSLR, then the Day Holster is worth checking out!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program If I purchased this specifically for my camera and lens, I would be a little disappointed and would probably award it 4 stars because it is a generic fit (but good enough) as opposed to a perfect fit. There are no flaws in the material or workmanship and it was designed for a generic size of body and lens. What you need to know is what kind of camera I used with this baby. Read on.

I have more cases than I care to admit. It was a trial and error process. I now use only three of them. This is one of those three. The first one is a backpack style case. I use it when I want to carry just about all of my gear. The backpack also has a special pocket for a thin laptop or in my case, an iPad. I go fully equipped only when I am not certain what I want to shoot or might come across. I'm fully prepared with that thing.

When I know what lens I want to shoot with and I need room for a few other things, I carry a smaller case that looks like it was made to hold fat binoculars. Finally, when I just want go with the bare minimum, I use this one. When you go bare minimum, you just need something to act as a cover so you don't scratch your camera up. This case will also protect it from minor bumps.

All three of my favorite cases happen to be Case Logic. I own many other brands, but I use the Case Logics most often.

I shoot with a Nikon D7000. This case fits my camera with Nikon's 18-200mm VR lens very snugly. It doesn't slip right it. It takes just a little effort, but I don't have to force it. Of course with smaller lenses, it slips right in.

The only pocket it has is a small pocket to hold the lens cap when you are using the camera. That's actually a nice feature. Many shooters like myself don't like lens cap lanyards.

My brother bought me this for my Canon T3i with an 18-135mm lens. I have to say that for that camera body and for that lens, this product works well. The lens is essentially all the way at the bottom, and the camera body has just a little wiggle room, but is not "skin tight." (My lens also has a CPL filter on it too, and even with that extra length, the lens still has a tiny bit of room.)

I had USA Gear's Camera Sleeve USA Gear DuraNeoprene dSLR FlexArmor Camera Cover fits Canon EOS 50D / 40D / 30D / 20D / 10D / T3 / T3i / T2i / T1i / XS / XSi / XT / Xti / 400D / 450D / 500D / 550D / 600D / 1000D / 1100D ***Includes Microfiber Cleaning Cloth that housed a Rebel T3 with a 18-55mm lens which I loved. However, when I sold the T3 to upgrade to the T3i with a more versatile lens, the 18-135mm lens was just too long, ergo I bought this.

As mentioned before, this fits the T3i/18-135mm lens much better and the neoprene seems very durable. So why did I knock off a star? I wish that the Velcro closure was replaced by a snap button or real button I know that in a year the Velcro will gather loose strings and lint, and just will not close well. I feel that with a different closure it would have been more durable. Also, I really loved the shape of USA Gear's sleeve. It looks like a camera, and it was sewn to efficiently fit an SLR, where the Day Holster seems lazily designed. The Day Holster does not hug the lens when it meets the camera body whatsoever and it looks awkward when its holding the camera around your neck. Canon's 18-135mm lens is 67mm in diameter, and there is still room around the lens, so I feel that a 72mm lens would also fit very nicely in here.

All things considered, this is a great sleeve for longer, thicker lenses. If I were to have bought this with an 18-55mm lens I would have returned it in a heartbeat for USA Gear's sleeve. In fact, if you do have an 18-55mm lens, I wouldn't recommend it as there would be way too much room between the end of the lens and the end of the sleeve. Personally, when I buy a neoprene sleeve, I'd like it to fit a little tighter so that it is less bulky. For longer, thicker lenses, this seems to be the best product on the market, however be wary if you have a slimmer lens: it is a bit bulky.

Yep, the camera fit pretty nicely and it stays clipped on like it says it does. The one issue I had was that the little pouch inside doesn't stay closed and I lost my lens cap in the woods somewhere. I have 2 lenses for my canon t3i. The 18-55 and the 50-250 telephoto. The telephoto fits tight, but it fits and that is really nice for when you don't want to carry around a huge bag.

This is a very good camera case. It has a great strap that can easily go over your shoulder when the case is at your waist. It has two zippers that close the case. There is enough room inside the case for the Canon PowerShot SX160 camera. There is a pocket inside for batteries, etc. There is plenty of padding. There is even a belt holder on the outside that is removable. I highly recommend it!

fit. This case preserves camera compact credentials by tightly hugging it on all sides

protection. I feel confident handling the camera while it is in this case as it's hard shell should protect camera against bumps and even moderate falls.

included neck strap. Camera is always easy to grab and ready to shoot. This is fine alternative to belt cases.

tripod adapter. Camera is secured in the case by tripod adapter that allows me to attach tripod without taking camera out of the case. I often carry it with Gorillapod Video Tripod (Black/Blue) attached, so it is ready for the those shots that require camera to be stabilized.

Canon logo. Hey, we all love our camera, so why not being proud of it :-). Besides, this is officially authorized Canon case, which means that it undergoes stringent specifications requirements and tight quality control before reaching the customers

price. This case looks and feels it's suggested MSRP price, so the 'Deluxe' part of the title is not just a moniker. Buying it at it's current ten dollar (with free Prime shipping) tag is a real bargain.

Not so good stuff:

real leather? I am not an expert but it looks like faux leather to me. No indication on the case except 'Made in China' stamp. Anyway, case looks and feels nice inside and out and provides excellent protection, so the only difference may be the longevity, which I am not ready to judge.

two-piece construction. Case consists of two separate pieces: the sides/bottom piece that is securely connected to the camera and front/top/back piece that connects to the bottom part via three buttons. When you prepare camera for shooting you need to remove the front of the case and you have three ways of doing it: completely unbuttoning it and storing separately or unbuttoning either right most button or two center buttons. Practically though only the first way is useful because the other two alternatives leave front portion of the case hanging freely from the camera and not only making camera uncomfortable to handle but also not hanging very securely as any slight pull might separate the front portion of the case with you either loosing it or having to catch as it falls to the ground. So the dilemma is once you separate the front portion of the case from the rest of the camera, where do you keep it? In the bag? In coat pocket? Either way this is a problem waiting for solution and distracting from using your camera.

So, which case should you buy? If you need more storage for spare battery or memory card, you need to keep looking for a larger case with additional compartments for the accessories. If you are comfortable wearing your camera on the belt, then Canon PSC-500 Deluxe Soft Case is an excellent choice. If you are looking for more sophisticated look, neck strap and ability to leave tripod attached, then this case is a very fine choice and you will not be disappointed.

First the good stuff:

Great looking, looks like leather to me. Easy to put on and take off. Solid protection. Great fit. Makes the camera easier to hold.

And now, the not so great:

Neck strap is uncomfortable (I took it off, no biggie). No storage space, even for an extra memory card. The bottom of cover covers the microphones on front, and so it must be completely removed when making movies. The cover also inhibits use of the lens adjustment ring; you can still access it while shooting, it is just a little more awkward with the case on.

Overall, a satisfying purchase, but I might get a soft case with storage when I take this on vacation.

Yes there are small size differences to the 95, but not enough to make the case unusable. For $10 I took the chance and am very happy with it. Now my little S100 is protected while banging around in my truck or a back.

I attend a lot of festivals and events. I was in need of a camera case for my canon s100 that would protect my camera without having to constantly remove the case. There were no options available. I ran across this case and read the size of the s95 and s100 are comparable. For around $10 it wasn't a big loss if it didn't work. However this fit my s100 like a glove. The provided strap is also long enough that I can sling the camera over my neck and shoulder. I can walk and dance without it getting in my way at all.

I bought this Evecase® Black Medium SLR Camera Case for my Canon T3i since it is labeled as a compatible DSLR camera for this case. However, I notice that when I place my camera with the lens facing up (how it's shown in camera case photo), it fits very tight in this bag. When I zip it closed, I can tell that there is pressure exerted down towards the camera lens since its sticks up a little far on the top of the case. The lens that is on the camera is the standard one which comes with the T3i. It's the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens. It would fit better with a shorter lens or if you take the lens off. Other than this, I'm happy with the quailty of this bag. There are velcro segment walls which you can move and adjust inside of it to custom tailor and separate the space. Or you can chose to take the segment walls out completely since they are only held in place by velcro. The case is very small and compact but still has sufficient padding to help protect your investment. It also comes with an optional shoulder strap if you'd rather carry it around on your shoulder instead of using the built-in hand grip. I also like that it has many pockets. There are two zippered ones on both sides of the case and some pouches on the inside of the bag as well. These are very useful for carrying extra batteries, chargers, or memory cards. Overall, I'm happy with the quality of this case. Considering it's very affordable price, it offers lots of bang for your buck. The only improvement that would make it better is if they had made it taller, so it wouldn't fit so tight. Putting a DSLR with a telephoto lens in here would be out of the question... it wouldn't fit.

I use this with a canon eos rebel SL1. First BUY THE BIG VERSION OF THIS BAG. Note when you are buying there are two sizes availble. Get the bigger unless you have a single lens.

This bag does an excellent job fitting my SLR, 18-250mm lens, 40mm pancake lens, and tons of my small camera accessories (wipes, filters, remote shutter etc etc).

Perhaps more importantly is that the camera can rest on its base in this bag. Most SLR bags these days have the entire weight of the camera resting on the lens which is awful for it and the camera.

Anywys, the "large" version of this bag is still VERY compact perfect for someone who doesn't have a crazy amount of gear to carry around. Again, I would be cautious about purchasing the small version of this bag, especially is you have a normal-size SLR.

Well built w/ lots of little pockets everywhere and lots of padding in typical Lowepro style (since this is a clone of the Slingshot 100).

The thickness is *not* enough for a DSLR w/ BG as another poster mentioned, but the target usage is not for those users IMHO. It's for the first time DSLR buyer or someone who is minimizing weight for quick trip.

There's enough in the main compartment for a DSLR w/ kit lens or a small zoom (with my Sigma 17-70, I have to reverse the hood), and one or two primes. There's an area to the left of the DSLR that seems too slim to fit anything useful except for a few pancake lenses.

The top compartment is enough for another lens or a rocket blower or a flash and a quick snack. The outer compartment has lots of space for memory cards, white balance cards, notes, etc.

One nice thing about this bag is that it has a belt clip that can separate quickly so you can easily take it off. My Velocity 7x bag doesn't have this and taking it off inevitably knocks my glasses out of place when I have a winter coat on :-P

I have used this bag as an everyday carryall for my K20D with a couple of lenses, the extra battery, cards, etc. If I intend to do some serious shooting and take along everything, it is too small. I used it yesterday for a hike in the woods where I did not think I would change lenses, but brought a zoom along just in case.

It was comfortable on and did not get in the way.

Bought this for my Pentax K2000. It has two main compartments. The bottom compartment is customizable with velcro separators and the upper compartment is the perfect size for my flash. Let me start by saying that my only problem with the bag has nothing to do with its quality. It is well-made, with thoughtful design.

I can fit my D300 with 16-85 lens attached in it, with room to spare for another smaller lens. There's also room for personal items, such as a pair of sunglasses, and the detachable purse eliminates the need for a separate bag, unless you have a lot of stuff.

The problem is, the bag I received does not match what is shown in the product photo. The tethered purse is not all leather as in the picture; it has red leather in the corners, but is made up of the same light material that makes up the interior of the camera bag. I can only envision a few months from now how dirty it will become. An all-leather pouch as shown in the photo would be much more durable and stain-resistant.

Also, the shoulder strap is not padded as shown in the photo, although it does have a nice suede backing where it rests on your shoulder. But padded, it's not.

I emailed Adorama's customer service department, and they basically said their hands were tied. They use the product photos that are supplied by the manufacturer (Jill.e). I can understand that.

Adorama gave me the option of returning the bag, but I thought the benefits of the bag far outweighed my disappointment. I would (and have) done business with Adorama since. Their shipping is fast and their pricing is fair.

I have to say, I am annoyed with Jill.e's customer service. I emailed them about the above concerns, and never received a response. I understand that email sometimes gets "lost", so I called their customer service line a few times during the hours that they are supposedly on-call, but always got a recording.

All-in-all, I would buy the bag again. I just wanted to make you aware of the product photo discrepancy in case those details are important to you, as they are to me.

This bag is phenomenal much better and bigger in person than the pictures suggest. I should have bought it months ago! I have one of those giant Lowepro backpack bags for storing my gear in the closet and was looking for a bag to carry my D300 and 70-200mm, a long lens on a big camera. It is hard to find a bag that can fit a long combo like that, let alone be stylish (which wasn't even my first priority). With this bag, it fits perfectly with room for a flash and a few other doodads. It will even fit this combo with a teleconverter attached. They really should change the name of bag from small to regular or something like that because this is truly not a small bag like my Slingshot (which really doesn't fit the D300 with any lens at all).

The quality is superb. Even my husband, who could care less about bags and purses, came over to check it out and was impressed. I love the magnetic snaps and the little detachable purse. It even rivals my favorite brand, Coach. In fact, if Coach was the one selling this bag, I could easily see it selling for $400-$500. I ordered it from Green Mountain Camera through Amazon. The bag came in 2 days, perfectly packaged in recyclable materials too. All in all, I'm thrilled function and beauty, at a great price no less. What more can a girl want? I have to admit ... I have a thing for red leather. That's what attracted me to this bag, and I took it home to see if my gear fit, fully expecting to have to return it the next day. Boy ... was I surprised! My D300, complete with battery grip and 80 400 VR (a huge combo if ever there was one) fit perfectly, along with my brand new Tokina 12 -24, also a big lens. But the biggest surprise was when I put the 12 -24 on my D50, and manged to fit that combo into the bag as well, right along side the D300/80-400 combo.

I am very impressed. The only suggestion I would make would be to make the end pockets just a little bit fuller ... otherwise this is the perfect bag, and stylish to boot.

My husband bought me the large black rolling bag for my birthday. I loved it so much, I ordered the small leather version in "bone" that very same day. Finally an everyday camera bag / purse that doesn't look like a messenger or diaper bag! I can fit my D200 body with 50mm, SB-600, flash cards, lens caps, camera batteries, 2 cell phones, iPod, credit card case, business card case, two checkbooks, hard sunglass case, pockets full of "mommy" items, a couple of Pull-Ups and still have room to spare. The attached pouch holds my make-up and AA battery stash. The edges and dividers are well-padded to protect your gear.

When I was at Imaging USA recently I stopped by the Jill-e booth and opened my small bag to show a friend who was considering one just how much they held. Two other photographers peered over my shoulder and bought them on the spot as well -I "sold" three in under 5 minutes just by unzipping mine. After walking like a hunchback with my Crumper 7 Million for a couple of years, there just isn't enough space to type how much I adore my Jill-e bags!

Cons only, no pros:

the velcro closure is week and opens easily

terrible look

the side zippers are a mistery, totally useless

no space for extra memory or battery

attaches only to a very small belt

the flash opens spontaneously while inserting the camera in its pouch making it difficult to get it out later on and probably damaging the flash

After researching other cases from different mfr.'s and going to stores to verify fit, I had to come back to this one. It fits the best-with one caveat. You must remove the rivet and expanding cloth on the side that the flash release switch goes in. Otherwise you will be fighting the flash in the up position every time you pull it out. I give the case 4 out of 5 for good fit other than this 5 minute job to fix.

This case is looking pretty good. Also, handling and opening with two strips is ok.

But if you put in a Lumix LX2, the switch of the flashlight was quiete often turned and open it. Then you have to open the 2 zips for remove the camerathis takes a lot time. Your shot is gone.

Another issue is, that the belt fixing is to small. You can use only slim belts. Clear point of minus.

My recommendation use only with Lumix TZ-types and slim lady belts ;-).

Solid body fits LX2 camera snugly; side zippers allow easy camera insertion/removal without rubbing viewfinder against case. No strap, no pocket for extra battery or memory card. Mine has no elastic straps inside to snag flash. Velcro closing is weak, but adequate. Offers good protection for camera stored in drawer, on desk, or in larger camera/accessories case.

This is not a case with frills. The camera fits snugly inside but there's no room for anything else such as the battery charger or even the case for the memory card. It feels flimsier than I expected but so far I have had no problems with workmanship, so that attribute may just be my interpretation.

I wouldnt say this clutch is stylish just because everyone's taste is different but it is very simple and durable which is what i love.

It has a firm flap that is easy to close and open, great color, and small that i can put this in my bag and it doesnt take a lot of room.

The only thing that I dont like about the product is that my camera doesnt fit completely in it, my camera is slimmer... which is obviously nothing to do with the clutch. SO GREAT PRODUCT!
